but it's Percy(and like maybe Marcus and Oliver)

ok so like the group is helping to smuggle muggleborns out of the country right? but something goes wrong the group is compromised a few times in a row now so they've been found out but nothings happened to anyone in the group other then when in the act so it's obvious that while the death eaters know SOMEONE is doing it they haven't figured out who.

so one of the members of the little group is hiding out a muggleborn couple with their young daughter before going the last stretch the next day when they're attacked they know the death eaters are there but they haven't made it in the house yet

now all the members of the group have these charms? no like a little thingy I have no idea what to call it but a little thing that makes it where they can escape in the case it goes south sadly they are far too hard to make for everyone to have them not even going into that they don't want the death eaters to get a hold of them because then they could make counter measures but the point is they're only strong enough to take theoretically one person.

point is whenever its an unwinnable situation like the muggleborns have already been killed its meant to be used to escape before the Death eaters get there hands on them

the muggleborns know this because it's explained to them that its a last case scenario and one of or both of the parents beg the person to just use it and go but to try to take their 3 year old with them. the person tries to explain that its never been tested on more then one person before and its not a guaranty that it will keep they're kid safe. to which the parents argue that the kids going to die here for certain that there's too many of them for them to fight off and it would be better to go with the option with a chance of survival.

so in the end the person relents and takes the kid with them

and it either works just find because she was so small

I like the idea of it being Percy just for that initial connection but also feel in my heart he would probably not be involved much in actually going on the trips because he would have to keep up appearances at work so cant just be vanishing like that

really i feel like Oliver would be the most likely to be the one going on the trips since quidditch gets put on hold so it would be easiest for him to slip out and around without people realizing.

Marcus could as well but i imagine him being forced into a ministry job after graduation so while he's not being scrutinized as heavily as Percy he still has to be more careful.

i also think in this world they're all living together somewhere even though i think it happened by accident not an intentional choice

they now have a kid they don't know what to do with because they need to get them out of here but the death eaters at this point have caught the last three muggleborn family's they had tried to save and they still don't know how and they're so tired so they decide to hide them and not even tell the others in the group they have her just in case it is a traitor

and so yeah now they have a kid and get attached really quickly and then after the final battle happens and the war ends they end up just keeping them because they don't have any family left

So the switch to E10 petrol happened several years ago, and as annoyed as I was at the time about it, it's taken this long to start really seeing the toll ethanol takes on small engines, and how inappropriate it is for machines that are used sporadically.

With the old E5 grade fuel, we left things sitting for months at a time to no major effect; our tolerant old Honda-powered pump fired up after over a year no problem.

E10 goes off at around the 5–6 week mark. This is not in keeping with the literature posted about the stuff at the time of the switchover, but it's what we've experienced.

We've had to take off and clean the carbs after this miserably tiny window has passed on the following machines:

The chipper

The stump grinder

The skidsteer

The chainsaw (despite premix and despite being run virtually empty)

Both Scorpas

I discovered the Scorpa problem this weekend, although tbf I was braced for it after this many stupid unnecessary failures. A problem with my bike's registration took most of this year to resolve, so we missed the whole riding season waiting for it to be reliably road-legal. There was no way this shite fuel was going to survive the glacial pace of the DVLA.

Sad dead bae after I managed to get it started, only for its float to get stuck and flood the airbox with fuel 🙃

Here's the gelatinous crap this fuel produces as it putrifies. Looks almost like fish eggs. I couldn't photograph the clagged-up jets, they're just too delicate for my phone camera to get the detail, but all the fine holes were clogged to shit.

I cleaned this out with carb cleaner and the compressor.

We only have one nearby petrol station, and it doesn't supply E5. I'm not impressed — partly for my own sake, and the extra work this stupid policy has dumped in our laps, but also for the sheer number of good petrol domestic machines that are going to be wrecked by this policy. For stupidity, I rank it up there with the abrupt removal of red diesel.

A weird, dark monocle covered the red-maned zebra's single eye as little whisps of smoke drifted up from his hands. Doing her best to behave, she kept her hands behind her back as she walked around the room. Her big red and blue eyes studied everything before gazing up towards the tall ceiling, spinning around a bit. She giggled as she lost her balance, stumbling into a table with a crash. Victor barely looked up from his work, knowing the little 'lotl to be practically invincible. “Hey, you okay? Try not to break anything.” “Yeah, whatever, hun...” She rolled her eyes and picked herself up off of the floor, only to find what looked to be a bike pump dangling from the hose. The hose which seemed to have somehow attached itself to her tummy. She blinked, picking up the thing in her hands. Tugging at the hose a few times, it seemed to be stuck on fairly well. Shrugging her shoulders, she gave it an experimental pump. She giggled as she felt a slight tickle as air seemed to flow into her belly, but she blinked as that tingle spread through her whole body. “What the heck was that?” She gave it another few pumps and realized that with each pump she was getting an inch or so taller. Her soft, slick skin made a few quiet stretching noises as she grew slowly. Holding the odd device in her hands, she tilted her head and had a thought. “Hey, uh.. doc?” Again, Victor never even looked up from his work, just giving an inquisitive grunt. “This weird little pump thingy, wouldn't it work better if it were an air compressor?” “Well, yeah, but I haven't really gotten that far yet...” “Okay, gotcha.” Grinning to herself, the called on her chaotic powers and snapped her fingers. Victor blinked, freezing as he heard the steady hum of an air compressor, followed by a loud, rubbery stretching noise. He yelled out as he turned, just in time to get pinned against his work table by a huge, soft, black and white belly as it rapidly grow over him. “LOKI!!!” She just giggled, wriggling around as her rapidly growing body swelled to fill the room. One of her arms pushed out into the hallway, the soft, slightly slimy flesh swelling over a young crocodile and pinning him to the floor. Outside of the building, rubbery stretching noises began to fill the air as the walls of the skyscraper bulged ominously. Black and white flesh began to bulge through breaking windows before the whole building burst apart, flinging hundreds of furries high into the air. They slowly rained down to land with audible plopping noises on the expanding tummy of the ever-growing axolotl who wrapped her arms around herself, hugging them close. “Don't worry, I can fix this.”

Day 15 – Magog to Sherbrooke – 32 km

Trail: moderate hills; 139 m up, 199 m down; 17 km paved, 15 km unpaved; A

I had a change of plans. Originally I was going to stay in Sherbrooke for 2 night's, resting one day. On the advice of an "in the know" waiter in Granby I decided to stay one night in Magog and one night in Sherbrooke. Unfortunately, it was raining when I arrived and since Magog is an outdoorsy town, I didn't have much of an opportunity to partake in local activities.

I stayed at À L’Ancestrale B&B in Magog. The home was clean and the bed comfortable. The host was incredible. She had tea when I arrived, an excellent and filling breakfast, and as if that wasn’t enough, she gave me a dry place to work on my bike. Oh, and then to top it off, while I was fixing my tire, she came out with a large bag lunch, at least half the size of my already full bike pack. Highly recommended.

There are plenty of boathouses along the Magog River and an electrical power plant.

Magog is on Lake Memphremagog and activities are heavily based around the water such as boating, sailing, kayaking, eating & drinking, swimming, sun bathing, biking, walking. I would definitely give this town 3 days in the future. It may be a real gem.

I started the day by repairing my flat tire. I found a 2-3 mm thorn that had poked through the tire and punctured the tube. I removed it, replaced the tube and away I went, but not before the host got out an air compressor to properly inflate my tire.

Leaving Magog, I was faced with a detour. After taking surface streets back to the trail, I realized the TCT was in better condition than Quebec roads. Keep up the good work on the trails!

Even though I ended the day at a lower elevation, the trail was up and down. Not like the past two days where the trail was more like a “scream like a little girl” kind of roller coaster. Today, the trail was much more like long gentle hills, climbing for a km or so and then downhill for a km or so. The ride was fun. I just smiled all the way down the hills.

I arrived in Sherbrooke in the afternoon. After the detour and then missing a trail marker (La Route Verte forked to the right at l'Eglise St-Roch in Rock Forest while the TCT continued straight ahead) I rode an additional 13 km, so it took longer than planned. Sherbrooke is the city of "too many hills". I took my bike and coasted to a restaurant in 10 minutes and it took me almost 30 minutes to get back. It’s at the confluence of the Magog and St. Francis rivers, a university town with large building murals, waterfront activities, and a very cool train station microbrewery/restaurant - Siboire.

It’s also home to the massive Petites Sœurs de la Ste-Famille Convent.
