5 Best Dumble Style Pedals For 2023 (Includes Budget Options)
1. J.Rockett The Dude J.Rockettā€™s The DudeĀ is designed to capture the tone of the Dumble Overdrive Special amplifier. Iā€™m not sure which Dumble Overdrive Special this pedal is based on. Their writeup mentions both Larry Carlton and Robben Ford. But their ODS amps were both individually voiced. Regardless ā€“ this is my personal favorite Dumble style pedal that I have ever played from a pureā€¦

Blue Monday and a cut from Eric Steckel's new release, Polyphonic Prayer, entitled Make it Rain. Not a cloud in the sky, but she can make it rain. Talk 2 me ESteck...
BIOGRAPHY In an era where pedalboards, laptops and samples have become commonplace, Eric Steckel goes against the grain and harkens his listeners back to the days when great guitars were played loudly through great amps. Hailed by many as the top rising star of Blues/Rock, Eric delivers a powerhouse performance that has left audiences in 22 countries (and counting) mesmerized. He brings an energy and passion to the stage that never disappoints and is a must see for fans of vintage guitar rock.
On Eric's latest studio album, "Black Gold," he takes listeners on a musical roller-coaster ride that embodies the human spirit and captures the emotions of daily life. His most diverse album to date, fans of vintage guitar rock will immediately fall in love with Black Gold. From soft, dynamic Blues ballads to heavy, low-tuned Rock anthems, Ericā€™s signature guitar style is front and center. No pedals, samples or drum machines. No apologies for turning it up to 11. This is rock the way they used to make it.
Few young guitarists can improve on Eric Steckel's impressive resume. Eric's debut CD, "A Few Degrees Warmer", was recorded live in April 2002 when he was just 11 years old. It wasnā€™t long until he appeared at the 2003 Sarasota Blues Festival where Eric's powerful set became the talk of the day. Before the night was over Eric was introduced by British Blues/Rock legend, John Mayall as the youngest guitarist ever on stage with the Bluesbreakers. Eric left a lasting impression on Mayall and, in 2004 Mayall invited Eric to appear in Sweden, Norway and Denmark during The Bluesbreakersā€™ Scandinavian Tour. In early 2005, Eric traveled to Los Angeles where he joined Mayall for session work on the "Road Dogs" record.
Eric then spent the following years filled with marquee festival dates and sold out concert tours in Holland, Germany, Belgium and Italy. He opened for Johnny Winter at The Paradiso in Amsterdam, thrilled audiences at the Tegelen Bluesrock Festival and shared the prime-time bill with Gregg Allman at the legendary Pistoia Blues Festival.
Throughout his teens and young adulthood, Eric released several critically acclaimed live and studio albums. 2006's "Havana" was a hit among Blues guitar lovers and tracks from this album are still featured often on SiriusXM's Bluesville station. 2008's "Feels Like Home" featured the talented Duane Trucks on drums and recalled the 70's southern rock era. Hits from this album such as "The Ghetto" and "Just Walk Away" receive regular airplay to this day. In 2012, after years on the road, Eric entered the studio once again to record a powerful modern Blues record. "Dismantle The Sun" emerged. Last year, Eric embarked on a quest to record a fully transatlantic studio album with some of the finest producers, engineers and musicians he knew. This led to "Black Gold" being recorded in both Nashville, Tennessee and Amsterdam, Netherlands and is Eric's most successful album to date and a fan favorite.
Road-tested and seasoned from 19 years on stage and in the studio, yet young enough to deliver the passion and feeling of the Blues to a wider audience, Eric is a skilled player with a powerful voice and a winning personality.
Eric has been featured in Classic Rock Magazine, Blues Rock Review Magazine, Maxazine, Nightwatcher's House of Rock, The Allentown (PA) Morning Call, The Doylestown (PA) Intelligencer, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The (NY) Times-Herald Record, Music Head Magazine, The Warren (NJ) Reporter Forum, Guitar World Magazine, The Easton (PA) Express, The Bridgewater (NJ) Courier Times, The Sarasota (FL) Herald-Tribune, the Lancaster (PA) Sunday News and The Florida Times Union. International press includes features in the Haagshe Courant, De Telegraaph, BluesMagazine (NL) and a MusikMaker (NL) feature. Eric was also featured in a Comcast CN8 TV News Extra and he has appeared on NBC 10 in Philadelphia, Comcast CN8, Fox Philadelphia, SNN6 in Sarasota and Reuters TV.

#Repost @jsa_effect_pedals ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ Black Friday Blowout Sale - Ā£70 + postage each . . . And then there were two šŸ˜² All that's left from the handbuilt pedals available are the "Seawolf" in a boss style enclosure, and my prototype "Ampldrive" with 'Voice' switch and output boost. . . The "Ampldrive" is not only one of my favourite low gain overdrives, but @everythingjoseph has been using one for his clean tone for a while now. Built around a vintage metal can LM741 op amp, my favourite MOSFET + germanium soft clipping arrangement, and a silver mica smoothing cap, and developed with the help of @juanitovai , this "Ampldrive" makes a perfect always on tone warmer. The 'voice' switch allows you to make the most of the smooth, amp like clipping, by increasing the gain and letting it sing out. The additional output boost in the circuit let's you make the most of the sweet low gain tones, whilst still having plenty of output volume on tap. . . There is a long story to the "Seawolf", but, rather than regaling you with it here, I'll just talk about what the pedal does. It's the mid forward overdrive that you always wanted your Tube Screamer to be; more clean headroom, more low end, sweeter high end, more versatility from the clipping toggle switch. It's perfect for pushing an amp or another dirt pedal over the edge. @thehowlingrob of @thehowlingtides has been rocking one (in a standard 1590b) for a while now, and sings it's praises, but this one off is even a step on from his; SRV Special style mods throughout preserve more of your guitars natural tone and playing nuances, the toggle switch now has a middle "no diodes" position for mid forward clean boost tones, and, of course, this yellow 90's Boss style enclosure (with true bypass switching that still uses the paddle) . . If you're interested in buying either of these, drop me a DM . . #guitarpedal #guitarpedals #guitareffects #guitarfx #diypedals #diypedal #diystompbox #diystompboxes #guitar #guitarist #guitarplayer #guitarplayers #diyguitarpedal #overdrive #overdrivepedal #distortion #distortionpedal #electricguitar #guitars #pedalboard #gearwire #handmade #handwired #bluesbreaker #tubescreamer #blackfriday #stomp ā€” view on Instagram https://ift.tt/33zId7x

The Sunrise Overdrive is both subtle and sweet. This pedal is a low gain overdrive meant for taking a nice guitar and tube amp and pushing it beyond its normal limits. The idea behind the Sunrise Overdrive, and any other Bluesbreaker style overdrive, is to simulate the desirable dynamic qualities of a Model 1961/1962 Marshall ā€œBluesbreakerā€ amplifier turned up right to the edge of breakup. When played softly, the guitar remains warm and clean. When you dig in with your picking dynamics, the overdrive really begins to bark and gives that unmistakable feel and breakup sound. It allows you to set a tube amp at a reasonable volume and make it sound and feel as if it were much louder, in order to get that pure tube-driven overdrive that we all love. The Sunrise Overdrive doesnā€™t completely overhaul your tone, it just adds a bit of smooth, warm overdrive with a touch of compression. http://www.dcwpedals.com :01 Intro 2:08 Single Coils 3:46 Humbuckers - About me: Sean at [email protected] Donā€™t forget to subscribe for more videos! https://www.youtube.com/c/SeanGibsonNoiseReel https://twitter.com/TheNoiseReel/ https://www.instagram.com/TheNoiseReel/ https://www.facebook.com/TheNoiseReel https://TheNoiseReel.tumblr.com https://soundcloud.com/user-815982399

1. JHS Morning Glory TheĀ JHS Morning GloryĀ is one of the best selling Blues Breaker pedals on the market. And for good reason ā€“ it sounds fantastic and itā€™s incredibly versatile. Not only that but it solves several of the main problems with the original pedal by adding plenty more output volume and headroom. The original pedal was also somewhat limited by the amount of gain available. That hasā€¦
