Yakno,,, I tend to be pretty critical of my own art, always picking out points of improvement and accepting that a piece might've been a bit to overambitious for my current skill level. Despite that though, I always find ways to hype myself up as I am genuinely in love with my own art.

So this is your reminder to not be so harsh on yourself. Yes, being able to recognize mistakes is important but don't take that as a kind of sign that you can't be happy with the result. You'll only ever be able to give yourself constructive criticism (and accept that of others) if you're also able to see that your art isn't Bad.

All art is fundamentally flawed, as it reflects how we as a species are! Wonky! No natural river is perfectly straight, you and your art will meander forward as it does.

You'll never be perfect in the sense that your art will fluctuate as you try new things. Don't beat yourself up, love what you produce for the fact that you spent time and effort on it! Go!! Go look at your stuff rn and gleam with pride of how much you've developed over time ^_^
