I am getting really tired of the Marvel fandom's treatment of Monica Rambeau.

In the comics, Maria Rambeau has a very good relationship with her husband Frank Rambeau.

In the comics, Monica Rambeau has a very good relationship with her dad Frank Rambeau.

In the comics, Monica Rambeau wants to be a superhero because she was inspired by Frank, who was a firefighter.

Carol Danvers is not Monica Rambeau's parent.

Carol Danvers replacing Frank Rambeau as a parental/inspirational figure to Monica plays into racist tropes such as the white saviour, absent black dad, single black mother, etc.

Nia Dacosta has said that the relationship between Carol and Monica is not parental, and instead an auntly/sisterly dynamic.

As of the making of this post, Carol and Maria are canonically straight.

Danbeau is not canon.

There are many ways you could ship Danbeau whilst avoiding racist tropes and disrespecting Monica.

Someone criticising a racist trope does not make them homophobic.

Monica Rambeau was the first female Captain Marvel. Carol was the third.

Monica Rambeau is her own individual superhero, with her own individual origin story and her own individual life. She is more than a Captain Marvel side character.

If you're offended at this, please take the time to think about how you genuinely view Carol and Monica's dynamic. This post is not attacking Carol Danvers, this post is asking you to respect Monica Rambeau.

Thinking of a concept,,, you know how sometimes in the Shazam/Captain Marvel stories they refer to the magic that the wizard gives Billy is called “the power of living lighting?”

Well I was thinking what if,,, possibly, maybe his “adult” form was actually composed of living light.

What does that mean? As for combat, I think it would mean that Marvel/Shazam cannot bleed. You know, because his body is not made of blood and organs; it’s made of magic lightning.

I drew a quick edit of my Shazam drawing to try and explain this lol.

I also think that if Marvel/Shazam were to take too much damage in his superhero form then his body would “poof” and force him to transform back into Billy. Who is a mortal and can bleed.

I was gonna give each member of the Shazamly a different color for their lightning emblem on their chest. I think this would indicate the color of the “light” that their body is composed of.

Billy’s chest emblem is blue so if you hypothetically chopped off his arm, you would not see blood. You would see blue light. ~✨

PLEASE let me know what you guys think about this lol this idea has been in my mind for a while now I just didn’t know how to articulate it LOL
