Jay has chosen a new name: Cory.

It’s gonna take me a few days to get used to, but I like it!

I’m just glad he chose a NAME. Any name, paired with his last name (think Smith, Jones, etc) is relatively anonymous.

I was worried he’d come up with a word that nobody had ever used as a name before like Strawberry or Tinsel or Femur and make himself instantly googleable. I told him, you don’t want the cops googling you. Or employers, but especially the cops.

Anyway, we had a good talk today about school, after high school plans, adulting, getting tf out of this country (his Big Goal, which is both a heartbreak and a relief to me as a mom), and names.

Hello everyone!

I haven’t been on tumblr for years, but I have decided to open a new blog to motivate myself in my studies!

A little about myself:

I am Italian born and raised

I’m 24 years old, so I’ve been in the trenches of this website

I’m a marine biology student currently in graduate school

I live in Japan!

I speak 3 languages fluently (Italian, English and Spanish), and I’m currently studying Japanese. I also know a little Russian but not enough to consider myself fluent…

WORLD ACADEMY ! CLASSES START !

Hiiiiiieee everyone! So! I started writing for my college au and I posted the first chapter on AO3!! You can find it right here! -> World Academy ! Classes Start !

I explain this in the description, but basically, each chapter will delve into a ship or character dynamic in different settings and scenarios! Each chapter can basically be read on its own, and chronological order doesn’t matter too much! There will be some little story arcs here and there I think, but for the most part, each chapter is just a cute scenario I thought of for the characters! Some chapters will involve the whole group too! And I’m also trying to make sure I write for the ships an equal amount of time (like make sure they have equal amounts of chapters and stuff!) But, more characters will definitely be seen here and there! I already have design plans/backstory plans for some… Any guesses? 🦇🦅🔪🦁🗡️

Exam season still sucks, even if you're in Japan…

It's currently finals week here in Okinawa and I've been locked inside the library until closure for the past 4 days. I am so tired guys, I swear I will make better posts as soon this is over.

I am quite happy with the progress I'm making with my calligraphy. I know it's nowhere near perfect yet, but I can see that it's getting better. I am also remembering a lot more 漢字(kanji), so I am quite proud of myself. I am however struggling a little more with grammar, so I am currently reviewing all of the grammar for next week's exam.

On the bright side, I did get an A on my animal behavior exam, which was actually very interesting! I'm pretty bummed out that the class ended tbh…

Even though 沖縄 (Okinawa) has a different dimate compared to the rest of Japan, we could still see some beautiful sakura blooms! I was quite surprised. It's nice seeing them on my way to the lab every morning; it makes the day a little more pleasant even during finals week.
