Red bull can spin this however they want, clearly but you don’t just go from having two title sponsors to zero title sponsors in less than a year for no reason. And it’s not brand cohesion or simplifying the messaging…
#you had a massive car launch less than a year ago#if these brands were willing to still pay the name change wouldn’t be happening#they’re not willing to pay because the ROI isn’t there#simple as that#brands don’t just invest that level of money for a year and then decide to step back out of nowhere#y’all fucked it#but interesting that they’re basically saying the quiet part out loud that vcarb is the redbull junior team and has zero identity outside#of that#I would not be surprised if we find out the smaller sponsorship is very minimal and they’re just never going to mention it again lol

Why was The Winchesters cancelled? Is it true that there was unsafe site while filming it too? And so you think that Danneel is the main reason for this sequel (as a producer) Or is it truly Jensen? Because I can't really see Jensen as someone who won't tell Jared about it.
The Winchesters was cancelled because the budget was too high in part because they were behind on schedule, and the rating trends was not promising. The lack of cohesive communication and management was what really doomed The Winchesters. The Ackles' failure to tell Jared ahead of time was a harbinger. Jensen and Danneel expected Robbie Thompson to be Eric Kripke 2.0 and manage everything for them. Whereas Robbie expected Jensen and Danneel to pull their own weight. There was no communication on expectations.
It comes down to the Ackles' lack of business acumen as producers. They're used to just slapping their face onto a product and sit back and collect the royalties, which is fine, that's how most celebrities make money from side hustles. But to be an actual business man or producer you're supposed to be out there in the middle of the field managing expectations, conflicts, and emotion. Some people are more enamored with the fantasy of having a business than with actually running a business. Starting a business is fun but running it and doing the basic business “blocking and tackling” every single day is what makes it successful. It’s like how planning a wedding is fun, but it’s not a good precursor to a successful marriage. Working on the marriage everyday is what makes it successful. (It’s partly why the Misha-Jensen collaboration on YANA failed because neither of them wanted to do the actual legwork.) After 15-20 years, Jensen is used to lead actors doing the heavy lifting in carrying the show and being leader of the cast and crew and he benefitted from the sweet spot as #2 on the call sheet i.e. the good guy who is friends with everyone. Remember his "don't fuck it up for me" message to The Winchester cast?
I think Danneel gets too much blame from the fans. Jensen wasn't ready to let go of $upernatural and it's money making train. I think why the Ackles were trying to take over the $PN brand is to close the $ gap between Jensen and Jared. I’ve long speculated that while Jared the highest paid CW actor he also gets percentages of the series profit in syndication. I doubt Jensen has the same deal going by his pre-Gersh management that I sometimes wondered if his old manager was a tick.
The common saying of “money is the number one cause of stress in relationships” while is true, I think it’s actually lack of financial literacy. Long held rumors were Jared negotiated a better convention contract for Jensen so that they are paid on the same scale. This is why I think Jared ultimately didn't hold it against Jensen for pursuing a $PN show without him because Jensen is attempting to negotiate on his own a deal instead of relying on Jared.
Had Jensen keeps trying to be in charge of SPN projects, SPN fans’ reaction is going to be the same as today’s Marvel fanboys’ reaction to when they hear Kevin Feige’s name: “What did you did do this time you Son of a Bitch!? What train did you derail this time?”

What is Beyond the Gathering Shadow?
Beyond the Gathering Shadow (BTGS) is a Fallout fanfiction project that's had nearly a decade to percolate—ever since Fallout 4 launched back in November 2015.
It started with a stubborn, simple idea:
"What if the Sole Survivor knew Nick Valentine before the bombs fell?"
From that seed grew a fully realized pre-war narrative: part neo-noir legal drama, part espionage thriller, and part chronicle for a dying empire.
Set between 2075–2077 in Boston, BTGS follows ADA Georgia Ambrose and Detective Nick Valentine as they navigate the collapse of law, government, and society in the final days before the Great War.
Along the way, it also became a love story— one that's achingly aware of the world ending around them.
If it feels topical to our own reality, that's intentional. Covid? (New Plague.) Trade wars? (Resource Wars.) Conflicts tearing across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe? (Ukraine, Palestine, Sudan, Congo—echoes through time.) That being said, this project confronts racism, sexism, classism, state and structural violence because it is my reality — and the reality of many living under other settler colonial empires and within the imperial core.
Fallout is a uniquely American franchise — not just in setting, but in what it pretends to critique and often fails to follow through on.
This project doesn’t look away from that. I try to tackle the legacy of settler colonial violence, racialized propaganda, state-sponsored trauma, and the curated cruelty of the American empire — because that’s the world we’re living in, and that’s the world Fallout was primed to interrogate.
And yes, other countries have their own deep colonial rot — but the U.S. has cultivated a specific strain of internalized empire-building: where the spectacle of liberty and democracy is weaponized against its own people. That’s what this fic engages with.
This isn’t about pushing a message — it’s about surviving the world we’re in, through the lens of one already falling apart. It's how I am processing my trauma.
If you’re here for escapism only, this might not be your comfort fic. And that’s okay. But I’m not interested in sanitizing this world just to make it easier to digest.
✧ ✧ ✧
How I Approach Fallout Canon
This is an AU— but not because I hate canon. Because I take it seriously enough to fill in the parts the games and new media increasingly flatten.
Here's the framework BTGS uses:
Divergence, Not Erasure
Fallout's timeline didn't rewind to the 1950s. It derailed after the Cold War never thawed.
In my Fallout:
There was a Vietnam.
There were cultural shifts.
The Civil Rights movement still happened.
The '50s aesthetic isn't a permanent cultural vibe. It's state-sanctioned nostalgia, enforced by corporations and government to freeze innovation and memory.
Innovation didn't stop. It was buried. Classified. Commodified.
Yes, TOOL Exists
So do Queen, The Eagles, Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, and others.
Pop culture didn't vanish. It was censored, fragmented, and regionalized.
Songs, books, movies—these became survival relics. Personal archives against a regime trying to sanitize history.
Lore Priorities
Foundations: Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout: New Vegas.
Selective Integration: Fallout 3 and Fallout 4—filtered through tone, theme, and world cohesion, not wiki-detail obedience.
✧ ✧ ✧
And because I clearly suffer from the need to over-explain myself:
I've been writing this story in my head for almost ten years now. It was only when I was unemployed that I finally had the time to start putting all the pieces together.
Yes, the concept—pre-war Nick/Survivor, legal drama in a crumbling world—is not a brand-new idea. But this story? It’s my love letter to Fallout. To character-driven tragedy. To people surviving and refusing to go gentle into that good night.
If you're willing to give it a gander, I'll be honored to have you along for the ride.
⋘ ❄ ⋙ ⋘ ❄ ⋙ ⋘ ❄ ⋙⋘ ❄ ⋙⋘ ❄ ⋙⋘ ❄ ⋙
A quick note:
Any tags or sorting links you see on this project are purely for organizational purposes — to make it easier for people to find my meta, my worldbuilding, and my art related to Beyond the Gathering Shadow.
I'm personally committed to not boosting posts at this time in solidarity with current boycott efforts. Sharing my work here isn’t about generating traction for corporate platforms — it’s about archiving nearly a decade of storytelling, research, and art.
This project is (and always has been) a labor of love: reimagining Fallout’s lost opportunities for deeper worldbuilding, examining the pre-war collapse, and making the barbies kiss ofc.
Thank you for understanding — and for respecting the spirit in which this work is shared.

Smart things to ask actors at conventions
In order to support your favorite actor’s brand within the industry and therefore his career, consider switching from invasive personal questions to the following:
Ask them the top three roles they see themselves playing in the future and how they’ve adjusted their brand to fit that
Ask about inspiring figures from their acting world/community and how they were impacted by such figures (no actor makes it alone)
Ask them about their costars/guest stars from upcoming roles
Ask them about their acting technique and how they build a character. Is there anything particular they do? For example, do they use a playlist to get into character? Do they use an outside-in or inside-out technique?
Ask how you can support them as fans in their career
Ask them if they ever considered self producing and if so what that would look like for them. What is their dream role?
Ask them if they are involved in other creative pursuits outside of acting (being an actor, an artist, requires deep pursuit of many arts and crafts)
Ask them what their legacy as an actor is about. What is their overall message to the world?
Ask them about people they’d love to work with in the future and Why.
Ask them what the most powerful moment on set was for them and how does it still affect them
Ask them about their favorite industry writers
Ask them about their audition process, how they prepare, any tricks/tips.
Ask them about how they plan to inspire the future generation of actors
Ask them what it means for them to be an actor and what an actor’s mission truly is
Ask them which brands they’d love to work with
Ask them advice (for those interested in acting)
Ask them to recall emotional moments they’ve experienced while playing a character
Ask them how they inspire people on a set to work together cohesively
Ask them what challenges they’ve encountered as Actors, especially at their current tier and how they plan to overcome that
Ask them which writers, creators, artist most inspires them and why
What they are most grateful for in their career
Ask them in what unique way would they play a certain character, how would they add that something special that makes them unique
I could go on and on but I’ll stop here. The idea is to keep your questions focused on an actor’s brand and career direction. This will result in on brand sound bites the media might pick up and either way the actors will come off as professionals when answering this type of questions whereas when they overshare about their personal life the very opposite happens. Remember that actors are an image, an image that is a Product so help them make those selling points very clear to the audience and to industry professionals.

Several small BatFam notes
@moss-covered-thoughts (I'm answering questions and providing information for DPxDC fans.)
lol don't worry about it! Nothing about you talking about your fic will make me feel left out! I'm just happy to help you out with your work! If anything will make me feel left out, it's the lack of rogues content and people within this fanspace underutilizing Vlad and not having much of that juicy, juicy polycule content (specifically Vlad/Jack/Maddie) that I keep coming back to Danny Phantom for. :p Speaking of, I want to be as transparent as I can with the information I'm giving out, because just like all comics fans, I'm not an expert on everything and I am very much in my own specific niche and haven't read everything out there! I'm actually not much of a Batfam fan and am much MUCH more of a rogues fan! (Specifically my hyperfixation is focused around Harvey Dent and Two-Face.) So while I do have some information about the members of the batfamily, my knowledge isn't nearly as comprehensive as someone who's deep dived into that part of the DC universe! I'll give you the information I can, and hopefully someone with more cohesive Batfam knowledge can reblog this post with extra notes to fill in the holes I have in my knowledge. >.<
Adoption Order
So I can't tell you the specific specifics of adoption specifically, but I believe that the order of each member joining the Bat Family would probably be along the lines of: Dick Grayson -> Barbara Gordon -> Jason Todd -> Tim Drake -> Cassandra Cain -> Stephanie Brown -> Damian Wayne -> Duke Thomas.
Batgirl and Duke recs
Again, I haven't read much Bat Family stuff because my primary focus is on the rogues. But I do have a handful of recs! If you're willing to watch a long-ass video instead of reading, I would actually highly recommend Linkara's retrospective on Cassandra Cain and here's the link to said video! It's very good and goes into just about every major comic appearance she was in at the time of the video first coming out (in 2019)! You will get a very good image of her character from that, I like Linkara's analysis, and by watching that video, you will definitely be able to come away from it with a number of recommendations for both Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown! (He does talk about Steph some in this video, but it's limited.)
Speaking of Stephnie I'm sorry to say that I don't really have any recommendations for Steph as I sadly have just not really happened to come across any works that have her in them in my poking around in different comics and related media. But honestly, while I can't give you any recs for Steph, maybe you should toss Linkara (@atopfourthwall) a message! He's actually a decently active Tumblr user and given that he wants to do a different retrospective on Stephanie Brown, certainly he would have things to recommend!
As for other Cass reccomendations... The only thing I have in my back pocket is Spirit World. It's not about her, it's a solo series about the brand spanking new character, Xanthe Zhou, but Cass IS a main character in it, and people seem genuinely happy with what they did with her in that story!
If you're looking for good Barbra Gordon content... Well... Personally I would recommend giving her episodes in Batman: the Animated series or the issues that include her in The Batman Adventures a look-see...? It's always a solid time with her around in B:TAS, or in the Batman Adventures! They characterize her very well in those serieses!
If you want both a Cass and a Barbra suggestion... Maybe check out No Man's Land...? Asking you to read all of the comics that were part of that saga might be a little much, but there is a novel adaptation of the No Man's Land storyline out there, and personally I listened to the reading of that novel as done by Graphic Audio and it is genuinely excellent! Like, the marketing may be tacky, but it is on the level of quality as something like an audio drama podcast or a Big Finish Audio. It just happens to be a book reading. :p But No Man's Land IS where Cass was first introduced, (also where Harley Quinn joined the comics universe fun fact!) and it has plenty of good moments from Barbara in it too!
As for Duke... Honestly, if you aren't already reading the Wayne Family Adventures, then you really ought to. >.< That series is available for free on webtoon and the first several strips have him as the main character before it becomes more of an ensemble cast thing. (And in case you were wondering it IS official DC media!) >.< I also haven't read much of Duke's stuff, and so in terms of his backlog, I really don't know what to recommend. The one story that I did happen to read that heavily featured Duke... Was "My Own Worst Enemy" (it's like volume 1 of All-Star Batman) which was... Fine...??? Like, as a Two-Face and Harvey Dent story, it was pretty bad and ablest in how it portrayed Harvey's DID. (But this isn't necessarily unusual for books that include him... SIIIIIGH!) But it was also incredibly stupid and fun, and had a lot of good forwards momentum and offered a number of interesting ideas that I don't entirely hate! So overall I find it... Fine... But as a Duke story... Honestly it's not bad as far as a Duke story can go! And the back-up story for that little arc (the Cursed Wheel) was pretty alright too! I do feel like after I read My Own Worst Enemy that I did understand Duke just a little better as a character! So while it's not good... You might find it to be decent in what you're looking for...? Because I really cannot speak on any other stories he's been in. >.<
So uh... Sorry about my whole limited perspective thing... But I do hope that you find some of this useful at least! I wish you the best of luck in your writing endeavors!

I agree, if Charles went to RBR it would actually be the best, PR-wise, for RB and him.
If anyone starts talking about Charles betraying Ferrari? The absolute shade Christian would throw out into the media about how Ferrari didn't treat him right.
People hating on him once he starts winning? Red Bull would bask in the media attention for being the villain team and having two drivers destroy the competition. They would post videos of getting booed and see it as a sign of superiority. You're right, they would definitely eat that shit up and throw it in everyone's faces.
And Charles in Ferrari media always gives PR-media-trained-perfect-angel-boy, but we all know Charles is actually unhinged and insane and can be snarky as hell. RB would allow him to not be a robotic PR boy for once in his life.
Honestly, it would be best for everyone, and most importantly, entertaining for us.
you know, i actually am not sure how demonic charles would be on main about it all. on one hand, yes, ferrari absolutely has a hand in how buttoned up his media persona is — but, he's been with them for so long (is ferrari the team that sent him to media training with sky? or was that earlier?) that it's definitely influenced his natural approach, i think. careful and deliberate is ingrained in him.
don't get me wrong: he has his moments. he's not afraid to get a little sassy, he will toss shade, but significantly less than other drivers (and half the time he gets kidnapped by silvia and returns suddenly happy with ferrari again). i can see the sudden shift in pr management from transitioning from ferrari to rbr going two ways.
first, charles doesn't really shift much. his personal brand is very polished and serene. it may have originated with ferrari, but it's part of the image that he has also helped to craft for himself. he may just me more relaxed and freer with his cheeky commentary, less likely to get scolded behind closed doors (but everyone knows so it may as well be in the paddock), generally be a slightly spicier form of charles... but he'd still be gentle about it. playful about it. not abandon his main persona very much, because a) i think a lot of it is genuine but b) a switch up would make it look not genuine. so non-robotic but not the fullblown rbr villainy that would entertain me greatly.
or: rbr as a brand encourages it. they will tell him he can do it, likely (within reason/without it blowing back on the team, naturally). they may even craft scenarios where he can be "real" on main. red bull gives you wings, after all, and charles' have been clipped for years. and charles, if he moves to rbr, knows what he is signing up for. if he wants to cohesively integrate into the rbr image and marketing (which he would want/need to) he would need to embrace a shift in his pr approach. that's something he would need to be committed to in advance. he might full-send it, or at least send it harder than expected. it might be part of the new marketing angle he's taking.
a combination thereof may be closer to the how the brand book would be put together. a happy middle ground, maybe. if you think about it, charles' shift in messaging supports it, too: "i don't care for pole, i want to win" "max may have the best car but that doesnt excuse his talent. the driver winning is still extremely talented even with the best car, btw. (pls remember that when i have the best car and suddenly am winning again)". it's little but it's noticeable; he's repeated it a lot.
#paddock politics#not to say that i dont think he means it re: max btw#obviously he respects him and thinks hes talented as shit#but its interesting that hes pointing that out SO heavily#me pretending to have etiquette by adding a read more#how did this get so long#i need to work on conciseness#for shame#*oracles#lestappen gate 2023#rbr charles

Amplification of semiotic particles through a dynamic cinematic music video
Hey everyone! Today I'll try to thoroughly explain the use of amplification in music videos and as a relevant example I've decided to use one of my favorite artists during my teenage years, NF ! NF in particular always made sure there always is a cinematic aspect to his music videos. Iconic lyrics, carefully crafted intrinsic sentences and aspects to the diegesis of the message he wants to tell throughout each of his video clips and songs, yet so cinematically well used. There is a genuine need for the signifier to not lose sight of how the signified may be perceived by the audience and yet NF manages to connect the semiotics to his music videos through amplification of illustration ! I'll use one of the video clips of his latest album to demonstrate my point, I'll link the clip right here ! The name of this song is Hope.
youtube
Throughout the clip, many semiotic elements and concepts can be observed to provide concrete elements to this music clip but I'll start with the basics of what NF tried to achieve as an artist when it comes to his music videos. It is important to be aware of the fact that he strives for his music videos to be as cinematographic as possible, any of his music videos will most likely have elements of illustration and therefore something "deep" or "real" behind it for his fans even though this seems silly it is the way he brands his music and I do find it to be admirable to be as authentic as he is. Hope (the name of this song as previously mentioned) is about self-reflection and a message to NF himself, he literally talks to himself through the lyrics, back vocals and visual allowing to show the voices he is constantly hearing, reminiscing of his actions, words and past deeds. I will not further develop about the meaning of every single sequence in this music video as it is not the only purpose of this post, otherwise I would gladly spend many lines describing every references to his music in itself, all is needed to know in order to understand this post has been explained previously. Now that I've explained what I meant through his relationship with the diegesis, I'll emphasize the meaning of amplification used by illustration. The visual allows to further accentuate the intensity he wishes for the lyrics to have, the use of his face as a hook for this particular song creates more than a simple emphasis as I've explained previously, NF is directly talking to himself, he's confiding in the listener and therefore himself all he did in vain. Retrospection is illustrated by the symbolisation of him dressed in two colours in this music video, black and white representing respectively his current self and past self. Such icon demonstrates the contrast of the lyrics indeed but the parallelism used to embody the earworm rhythmic portraying the visual narractive as intrinsic to the song persuades the listener to the vision presented instead of the diegetic possibly imagined by the audience. While the visual parralels the rhythm and movements of the camera, the signifier may be confused as to what is signified. It is understandable that the complexity of coherence when it comes to musical, lyrical and visual meanings can be undermined considering the variety of contexts it can be perceived in. But I would like to argue that in the case of NF he manages to have a cohesive and catchy cinematography that allows amplification of the repeated semiotic particles to create a signified that corresponds to the signifier ! The narrative of the diegesis is shown through the use of amplification of many little semiotic elements previously explained and this illustration of the whole allows for NF to create a clear and cohesive rhythmic pattern accompanied by his voice, back vocals and lyrics following the intensity of the instruments used. This cohesive and fascinating whole brings to life this music video. Furthermore, it really has a stunning cinematography compared to some other rappers, interestingly enough, it has an earworm rhythm despite not even having a lyrical hook ! I do believe this is worth mentioning due to the fact that hooks have always been the attention seeker the music industry always thought of essential to any popular songs. Do you know of other artists using such concepts to create such an impressive cinematography ? In any case, see you next week for the next post :)

Taehyung’s Disappointing IG Post
(Nope, not his IG story.)
I wanna cry so freaking bad you have no idea. It’s been a happy couple of days for me, actually. Before today, I’d been anticipating that my next post would be right after a big MUSE achievement or once Are You Sure?! has been released, because the emotions would be all over the place. And I only, ONLY post when I really feel the need to express myself.
Today is one of those days, because Taehyung just HAD TO post a McDonald’s photo on his feed. I am truly so disappointed, it’s awful.

It hurts a whole lot more because I’ve been defending him a whole lot more in the past year. He’s my bias wrecker, he’s next to Jimin for me. I’m on here for Jikook, and I love Jungkook with all my heart, but I resonate with Taehyung’s personality more. I absolutely love that he’s shameless, unapologetic and deliberate, and at times, petty. I see why I love Jimin and him the most. He’s deliberate, which is why the post hurts a lot more.
He does everything with intention. So when fans jumped to his defense, saying he probably only posted the photo because it was a significantly small fries packet in his iconically large hand, I can’t fully commit to it. The photo series could work just as well without that photo. In fact, it would be much more cohesive. It was so out of place.
Fans argue that it was from a trip in 2022, might’ve been earlier. And he just decided to post it now. So okay, he consumed McD way before the boycott was encouraged. Alright. But doesn’t THAT make it even worse? Years passed and he decides to post that photo now, when he’s surely, surely been online and has surely seen the calls for boycott. Because I, for a fact, don’t believe he hasn’t heard about the biggest fastfood boycott for Palestine when it’s been 8, 9 months. When even other idols have tried their absolute best to discreetly show support for Palestine at this point.
And I know I might sound selective for not feeling the same way when Jin was at the Olympics and Jimin and Jungkook’s show is to be released on Disney+. But this one really hits different because it’s done so personally, in his own account, unprompted. No ambassadorship, no contract that binds him—just really out of his own volition. What is up with that?
God, I’d love to grasp at the idea that he might just be ignorant or uneducated. That would still be bad given the current situation, but I’d take that over him being aware and insensitive. Here I am calling out those other idols blatantly showing their Starbucks drinks in this climate, and then all of a sudden I wake up to one of the people I looked up to posting it on his personal account.
Honestly, this day would’ve been easier if it was just about his Hawaii story. I’ve seen people who were pissed at it. Understandably so, because again, I also think he does everything deliberately, and I get how that would not be received well. But that’s something I would laugh at, even roll my eyes at. That’s on-brand and so him and I still say this with fondness. He riles people up as a hobby. Jimin and Jungkook are miles away from the social media hate we’re worried about and are in their own bubble in the military—they don’t care. Jimin just released an album and left a very sweet message for ARMYs on Weverse, and dashed off. Their travel show is about to be released. They’re not chronically online because they’re never bored—they’re together! So I don’t care that Taehyung’s being cheeky again.
However, claiming that Taehyung was deliberate about his story BUT not deliberate about his McD photo doesn’t make sense. That wouldn’t be consistent. So I can’t defend him on that one. I want him to take accountability for that one. It’s horrible. It’s weird. It’s awful.
