ishgard's vertical layout is so good no other city utterly nailed the sense of scale like ishgard did
#saint.txt#ishgardposting#like standing in foundation and looking up and seeing the different levels stacked on top of each other and the upper spires disappearing#into the sky and the clouds is so so so good it makes the place feel huge#in practice Ishgard is only two small areas but moving from foundation -> pillars actually feels like you've moved up all those layers#ishgard feels endless and massive and sprawling despite how vertical it is in the same way yhar.nam does#and I'm not just saying that bc they have some similarish aesthetics VHSFBVHSF#no other city nailed that sense of immersion for me
