närsi in her working uniform - ive mentioned it when i posted her first, but she works in the sartrill defense force, the Sartrill Tirsekki (more specifically in the Rau-Tirsekki, the division for basilisks). and yes her wings look different bcs ive been pondering a bit of an anatomical revamp of basilisk wings... so they can have silly hands. in most basilisk communities it's not seen as indecent to not wear clothes really, as they don't really need to. but in many communities it is a fun decorative element they like engaging in and clothes may often be seen as more associated with certain events or social positions. bcs of their anatomy most clothes however extend to chest/neckpieces, hats and legpieces as it can be a struggle and a hinderance to put on stuff below the arms as their wing membrane stretches from their arms to about halfway downt he tail.

the basilisks in the Tirsekki have their own division as they are usually delegated to special reconaissance roles separate from the rest of the order, who are usually trained in more typical forms of defensive and offensive combat. the subdivision has their own leader/trainers who are usually basilisks themselves as they know their own abilities best, rather than a harpy. their shapeshifting is obviously a huge part of their work, and scouting/surveillance is their most common form of work. sometimes they are called to stuff that involves combat however too.

the sartrill tirsekki formed as a revival of an older defensive order, the kaskin tirsekki. kaskin was a crakam town that fell due to human discovery and attack, and the crakam that formed sartrill were the fleeing survivors from that siege

A lot of people in the iwtv Fandom regurgitate antiblack talking points particularly wrt Louis being femme/effeminate/gnc and it's genuinely so disgusting like no, Louis is not making his partners engage in domestic labor when they participate in the businesses and investments they are partial owners of. No, Louis is not being the patriarch of rue royale when lestat leaves the house after beating Louis within an inch of his life. No Louis is not "masculine for his culture" especially when compared to other black men in the same time period. People will actively ignore canon to make Louis into this hypermasculine black brute and Lestatr or armand into these shrinking violets that are oppressed by Louis when he's not that at all. The only times he's ever acted even close to that stereotype is to assimilate into a white supremacist society that expected that of him in order for him to earn a living and to please Armand, which causes him great distress and visibly worsens his mental health to the point of Louis lashing out at Claudia and being so entirely numb that he self harms. Louis is not this hypermasculine black brute and a lot of people try to make him into one bc of unconscious bias surrounding black people (black people have been stereotyped as hypermasculine, angry, overly violent and sexual deviants since the 1700s) or to absolve their non black favs of the actual patriarchal and oppressive violence they enact on Louis and Claudia or a combination of the two. So I can't edit this to show what it is exactly, but I basically just got shamed by a Facebook "friend" for offering to share this link to get laundry supplies for my birthday. So now I'm miserable and that wasn't what I'd wanted to happen at all.

So if anyone would like to cheer me up, this is my family's Homeless Supplies list. I need as much of the laundry and disinfectant stuff as I can get. Clothes for me (or even my mom, because she still needs pants) would be a huge help, as I lost 40 pounds last year and most of my stuff is too big or it's full of holes. Food is much appreciated by all three of us.

Hi I’m fairly new to this fandom. It’s hard to decipher what’s real and what’s not. I’ve been in this rabbit whole for two weeks. I guess what hooked me was the way harry and Louis were behaving at an award show interview. Harry was wearing a floral suit. It’s a beautiful sad love story if real, but what pulls at me is this. Do the boys know how we feel about blue and green? Also since both their fan bases are over 50% Larries could they just be playing it up for the $$ and press? If you could point me to factual info that too would be amazing. Thank you so much.

Hi, darling. Welcome to the rabbit hole. 😉 I really don’t think there’s any “factual info” about this issue.

H/L have used coded clothing (and, this, coded use of blue and green) for years and years. I suppose the most obvious “proof” would be when Harry first wore the blue bandana. Here’s more context. Oh, and Harry’s obsession with a very particular shade of blue is interesting to note, as well.

Beyond the blue bandana, I think RBB and SBB are the strongest indicator that they used those colors to indicate themselves. Every night the bears showed up, they used blue and green stickers to indicate their moods. It was super clear from the props which bear was meant to represent H and which one was Louis.

I think the most important thing for new fans to understand is the context in which this stuff was happening. In those first five years of the band, Harry and Louis were actively signaling about their relationship and their closets. We might have occasionally been wrong about side things, but there were an overwhelming amount of ways in which they were continuously doing this (clothes, tweets, lyric changes, ways the other band members reacted, etc etc).

It was very very clear that fans associated blue and green with them (especially because it originated with their microphone colors) and H/L used it as a way to get their message across in really obvious ways.

Larries find blue and green everywhere, and a lot of the time we’re just joking around and we know it’s just a coincidence so pointing it out is fun and silly. But sometimes it’s hard not to believe that the world really is a larrie.

I don’t think every time they use blue and green that it means something. Sometimes it’s just a nice color combination. However, when they use it in connection to a song heavily theorized to be about their relationship/the other person/their sexualities, I think that’s worth noting.

As far as them using the blue/green to play up to their fan base… yeah, sometimes I do think that’s the case. But I think there are two ways to look at that. One is that it’s disingenuous and solely to make money, the other is that they’re working to keep that side of the fandom feel connected. I’d imagine at times it’s probably a bit of both. But when you look at the context in which things happen, I do believe that it is often more pointed (maybe less so these days than it once was, but I do think they still use it).

My next new sewing term starts on June 5th, so it's time once more for me to ask if you can spare a few dollars to drop in my little tin cup, to help my students afford fabric to create garments they'll be proud to show off.

Because of the funds you've helped me raise for previous classes, each of my students who wouldn't have been able to afford to otherwise were able to sew themselves a top, two types of bottoms, a bag, and scrunchies. At minimum! I am so grateful, and I know that they are as well.

If I'm able to raise at least $100, I'll share a pattern/tutorial for one of the projects we'll be working on through this next term.

So, I haven't had time to do pretty much anything the last two weeks, but thankfully yesterday a large chunk of my family was over so I had time to start on these guys. Chibis have never been my strength and these are far from done, but I found some good references and I wanted to try some and figured why not do it with the batsibs?

I need to fix Jason big time and Damian and Dick's hair isn't my favorite, but I'll try tweaking them, but Duke was hard to find any reference for that didn't just give him a buzzcut and Damian's type of hair has always been a nightmare for me. As for Tim, just ignore that abomination, only thing I could say that I enjoyed was I couldn't find a good skin tone for him that was pale enough so I paint bucketed him with low opacity white paint fill and couldn't stop chuckling cause I painted him like a drag queen.

howdy, im nate and i hate to be doing this again but well. shits fucked. me n 3/4 of the other people that i live with are disabled, only one is on SSI (my mom), while the rest of us (me, my dad, and my sister) are still working on it. my sister is officially in a work training program, she's making money now but its not much + the one abled person (my other sibling) is also working but yeah. thats not enough for five of us. heres what i have right now - enough for me to get some of my meds refilled.

after almost two years i finally have a diagnosis as fibromyalgia, but who knows if i can get on SSI or how long it will take, i have also been approved for the work program with my sister, but i'm still waiting to get things sorted out and we don't know exactly how long it will take for me to get employed/if it will even be possible.

so, as of now i have no income (if you want to commission me for writing/art/tarot reading/anything tbh those are just what i have experience in please feel free to send a message!) and need money for food, bills, medication, and to cover doc appointments when/if i lose my insurance (they said i would be losing it months ago but its still going for now).
