you know, i can handle a little bit of fun "Nandor is dumb" talk, but i have a net-zero tolerance for any implication that Nandor is not educated.
Nandor would have been incredibly educated in his lifetime.
even (or especially) as a soldier in the Islamic World. being a soldier was more like getting sent to boarding school that's also a military camp. they weren't just concerned with creating loyal fodder for war. they were building the next government officials, generals, accountants, advisors, etc. it was important that young men knew how to read, write, speak multiple languages, learn philosophy...sometimes even studying art and music was mandatory.
if he was nobility (and its most likely he was), take all that shit and multiply it exponentially. Nandor would have been reading Plato at the same age most people are still potty training. he would have been specifically groomed in such a way to not be just a brilliant strategist and warrior, but also diplomate and ambassador of literally the center of scientific and cultural excellence of the age.
so like yeah, he can be a big dummy sometimes, sure. but that bitch is probably more educated than any of us will ever be.

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Travel throughout the land and see how He originated the creation, then Allah will bring it into being one more time. Surely Allah is Most Capable of everything.

I appreciate the inclusion of this line and the scene at the beginning bc I feel like it's easy for the audience to forget that unconventional and rebellious saira is also Muslim and does pray, both with the rest of the band and on her own

hazbin hotel feels like whenever the most annoying athiest you know tries to #epicallypwn a Christian by making the most base level critique that rests on a fundamental misunderstanding of what Christians ideology actually entails. and then if they made a really mediocre adult cartoon about what an epic pwn it was.

A lot of the people who go hard against Christianity and Christ are people who have been traumatized by legalist parents or legalist-adjacent parents. Because of the deep wound that was emotionally (sometimes physically and even sexually) inflicted upon them, they wholeheartedly believe their experience is universal for every single person who has been raised a Christian or eventually became a Christian.

Have you ever heard of something called soul contract? In the previous world Prophet Muhammad  (ﷺ)  told us that our souls met one another. He said when you get along with someone that means your soul met them in the realm of the unseen.
Not getting along means, you haven't met previously. In that realm a lot took place - that Allah explains in the Quran.
Today I want to share what a soul contract means. There are three kinds of people you will meet in your life:
1. your soul mate (could be a family member, relative, friend, or lover), your twin flame, and your karmic mate. A soul mate is someone that you truly love and get along with, sometimes the connection lasts & sometimes it doesn't.
2. A twin flame is someone you love but they appear in your life for a short period. They hold a mirror to your soul, revealing things about yourself that you overlooked.
3. A karmic mate, comes into your life so that you make corrections in your life - this connection is very toxic, you go through hell with them & it is to fix your traumas and triggers.
[These connections happen because before this world we made a soul contract with certain people.] In the previous world, your soul probably knew it needed to acquire the virtue of patience. Another soul promised to appear in your life to give you "hell" so that you learn to be more patient, forbearing, or emotionally strong. Once the contract expires your journey with them in this world ends. You are left with lessons that you carry with you for the rest of your life.
These lessons prepare you for the people who are meant to remain in your life - until eternity.
Knowing this teaches us not to take things personally. To be self aware of what reason and purpose a person may serve in our life, to see things with more understanding & compassion.
It allows us to let go of those who choose to walk away. And to not feel entitled to other peoples time and energy. If their time in your life expires it's always for the best. If one door closes, then another will open. Don't stand in front of that door waiting for it to open. Be sure that Allāh will always have your back.

These stunning pieces are not only incredibly chic but also oh-so-comfy, making them the perfect choice for fashion-forward individuals who want to look and feel fabulous all day long.
Tumblr media

This earthy hue goes with everything, making it the perfect choice for those days when you just can't decide what to wear. Whether you're pairing it with denim for a casual daytime look or dressing it up with heels and statement jewellery for a night out on the town, Desert Tan butterfly abayas are guaranteed to elevate your style game.

What I love most about butterfly abayas is their effortless elegance. With their draped sleeves and flowing lines, they exude a sense of ethereal beauty that's simply mesmerizing. Plus, they're incredibly flattering on all body types, making them a wardrobe staple that every fashionista should have in her closet.
Tumblr media
So, whether you're a seasoned modest dresser or just dipping your toes into the world of butterfly abayas, now is the perfect time to spread your wings and embrace the beauty of comfort and versatility. Trust me, once you slip into a butterfly abaya, you'll never want to take it off!

Wishing every Jewish and Muslim person extra safety this Christmas. Given the rise in both antisemitism and islamophobia since Oct. 7th and the atrocities happening in Palestine, I have no doubt bad actors (of whom I’d bet will be disproportionately Christian at least culturally) across the board will use that to enact hate on vulnerable communities.
