Dr Leslie Thompkins has some interesting references
So! The Batfam in in Dr Thompkins' Clinic for the usual Vigilante Related Injuries, and the Good Dr seems to be distracted.
One of them asks why she is so nervous and she reveals that her old teacher is coming over to visit, and she is worried that the state of her Clinic and the fact that she never managed to find a good job in a Hospital despite his teachings will upset him.
She is worried that she will disappoint him, because he has done so much for her in the past. He is the entire reason she ever managed to become a certified Doctor in the first place.
The others are curious as to what kind of person would illicit this level of concern from the Stric Doctor they knew?
There is a Knock on the Door, and she goes to Answer it.
In steps an 8 Ft Fall Glowing Yeti with an Arm made of Ice.
Frostbite smiles warmly at his former student, "Leslie! It's been too long!"

15 to me is a doctor that finally got diagnosed and is awear of his emotinal turmoil, and decided to instead of letting his meltdowns be internal and come out as anger, to instead attempt to let them out and cry, but to try to stop himself from actually hurting himself and or others (ie crying and stopping himself after punching that door).
also he uses his pattern recognition element like crazy, he figures out that he is in the same boat as he usually was with certin killers who fancied him before, takes one look at who Rogue is and what he represents, and immidiatly trys tyo act like he always did and it works
but also its more then the letting his meltdowns actually be meltdoans again with crying and such, its about having less control over hiding his emotions at all, laughing at the kid's disstress at space babies, laughing at Ruby with the boogers, he always has a second where he just reacts emotinly before he takes control and starts masking. and his crying!!! 15 crys like he doesn't even notice the tears are there until his voice starts cracking, its like his emotions are happening to him and he has to figure out a way to understand and mask them then he feels emotions, and i love it.
"ok! i understand i am concidered autistic by human standers (and probably by time lords standers too actually) and im completely fine now thank you goodbye!! [runs away before he learns any affective coping mechanisms]

Well everyone, I performed my first ever cetacean ultrasound today!
My “patient” is in excellent health, and this session was meant merely as practice both for me and for her—ensuring she remains comfortable holding still for scans. Because whales and dolphins are too big for manual palpation or x-rays, ultrasound is how veterinarians visualize their internal organs and ensure they remain healthy. Cetaceans in human care routinely receive ultrasound scans to monitor their health, even if they are not ill or pregnant.
And it’s a great example of cooperative care! Unlike dogs and cats, which have to be sedated or manually restrained by humans in order to get diagnostic ultrasound images, cetaceans in human care are trained to float in place while the veterinarian places the ultrasound probe on them. They are free to leave the session at any time. And there’s no need for ultrasound gel, because the water acts in its place!

I was wondering who kipperlily was reminding me of, and I finally remembered last night—ocean from ride the cyclone. as in, yes, these morals are fucked but also this is a child. it is the moral duty of the adults around her to foster better morals and traits like compassion and empathy. I can’t blame her for being so primed to be taken advantage of; that being said, if/when that influence is removed and if she is given a chance to change, that is on her.
in a meta sense, brennan has established that there is a difference in the teenage villains he creates, and the vast majority of them are not pure irredeemable evil—they were influenced/groomed into their role and given external support/the ability to be free from that and change, they take it. how I’m seeing it, that’s being set up for at least a few of the rat grinders.

I believe Kamala- despite every word she has ever spoken on the matters- is actually deeply pro-Palestine, pro-trans & overall a progressive hero, because I understand that when democrats say repugnant reactionary things while campaigning they are actually lying! which is good & normal for so-called democratic elections!!!!! if you listen to the gnomes who live inside my walls you'll understand her real values, which she'll totally pinky promise act upon once you reward her lies & elect her! you dumb third party voters would understand this if u payed attention in civics class 💅💅💅
#do you votescold blue no matter whos even hear yourselves#like i say this from the glass house of mental illness i too live in but yall are fucking clinically deranged#'u see the good guys will lie to us to seem like bad guys until the season 4 finale when plot twist reveals thay r good!' LUNACY!!!#santa clause is more real than a promise out of the mouth of a democrat i am BEGGING liberals to understand (and give a shit about) this#sorry i guess unlike the 'injustice sensitivity' many american neurospicies love using as a shield for when they do racist things i just#have boring I Dont Like Being Lied To autism which uh is preventing me from (well a lot!) getting on the imperialism train that many#of you are twisting yourselves into pretzels of cognitive dissonance & ahistorical nonsense in order to cope with!#vote if you want idgaf but stop posting electoral cope!!! stop seeking absolution for the crimes youre cosigning!! you cant have it all!!!!#i'll see you in another 4 years when nothing has been done about climate catastrophe or genocide or lgbtq rights or reproductive rights#bc if- and its still a huge if- kamala wins i know for FACT the usual suspects are already cooking up excuses as to why she cant follow thr#through on any of the crumbs of progressive policy she claims to stand by. its already the senates or SC fault right 🙄#ugh anyway now im just going down the 'every easily identifiable lie of the dems that I'M somehow the bad guy for noticing' rabbit hole#and that leads to nowhere but madness and an afternoon wasted 😤

I had this incredible dream last night—I was standing on the clay-rich bank of a river in the golden afternoon light with a lot of other people. We couldn't figure out what river it was, and I heard multiple people ask "Mississippi or Lethe?" I and a few others waded downstream under this clay archway to a spot where the river widened and then disappeared under a cliff. Carved into the cliff was an impossibly huge, imposing statue of a bearded god. As we watched, the statue came free from the cliffside and began to come towards us. We ran under the arch, back to the others, afraid, but when the god reached us, all it/he did was feed us fragments of the most delicious-tasting raspberries I've ever had, delicately pinched between its huge fingers for us to take like baby birds, and then he turned around and returned to his post.
Then I had like 4 dreams in a row about getting up and going to work, until my alarm went off -_-
