How to Double-Cleanse According to Your Skin Type
Cleansing is an essential step in any skincare routine. It helps remove dirt, oil, makeup, and other impurities that can accumulate on the skin throughout the day. While a single cleanse can effectively remove surface-level debris, a double cleanse takes it a step further, ensuring a thorough and deep clean. Double-cleansing involves using two different types of cleansers in succession to achieve optimal results. In this blog post, we will explore how to double-cleanse according to your skin type, with a focus on oily skin cleansing and dry skin cleansing using cleansing milk.
Tumblr media
Why Double Cleanse?
Double cleansing is particularly beneficial for individuals who wear heavy makeup, sunscreen, or live in environments with high pollution levels. The first cleanse, usually an oil-based cleanser, effectively dissolves and removes oil-based impurities such as makeup and sebum. The second cleanse, often a water-based cleanser, further cleanses the skin by removing water-based impurities such as sweat and environmental pollutants. This two-step process ensures a more thorough and complete cleanse, leaving the skin fresh, balanced, and ready for subsequent skincare products.
Oily Skin Cleansing:
Oily skin tends to produce excess sebum, leading to a greasy and shiny appearance. Double cleansing can help control oil production, prevent clogged pores, and reduce the risk of acne breakouts. Here's how to double-cleanse oily skin effectively:
Step 1: Oil-Based Cleanser
Start with an oil-based cleanser or cleansing oil specifically formulated for oily skin. These cleansers help dissolve excess oil, makeup, and impurities without stripping the skin of its natural moisture. Look for lightweight oils like jojoba oil or grapeseed oil, which have a non-greasy texture. Gently massage the oil cleanser onto dry skin for a few minutes, focusing on areas prone to oiliness. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Step 2: Water-Based Cleanser
Follow up with a water-based cleanser to remove any remaining residue and impurities. Choose a foaming cleanser or gel cleanser that is formulated for oily skin. Look for ingredients like salicylic acid or tea tree oil, known for their oil-controlling and acne-fighting properties. Massage the cleanser onto damp skin in circular motions, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Oily Skin Cleansing Milk:
If you prefer a milk-based cleanser for your oily skin, opt for a lightweight and non-greasy formula. Cleansing milks are gentle and can effectively remove impurities while maintaining the skin's natural moisture balance. Look for cleansing milks specifically designed for oily or
combination skin. Apply the cleansing milk to dry skin and massage it in circular motions, focusing on areas prone to excess oil. Rinse off with lukewarm water and follow with a water-based cleanser for a thorough double cleanse.
Dry Skin Cleansing:
Dry skin lacks moisture and tends to feel tight, rough, or flaky. Double cleansing for dry skin can help nourish and hydrate the skin while effectively removing impurities. Here's how to double-cleanse dry skin effectively:
Step 1: Oil-Based Cleanser
Choose a gentle and hydrating oil-based cleanser suitable for dry skin. Look for ingredients like argan oil, avocado oil, or almond oil, known for their moisturizing properties. Massage the oil cleanser onto dry skin in gentle, circular motions. The oil cleanser will help dissolve makeup, dirt, and impurities while providing essential hydration. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Step 2: Cleansing Milk
Follow up with a cleansing milk formulated for dry skin. Cleansing milks are gentle and can help further hydrate and
nourish the skin. Look for cleansing milks with ingredients like chamomile, oatmeal, or aloe vera, which soothe and moisturize the skin. Apply the cleansing milk to damp skin and massage in gentle, circular motions. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat the skin dry.
Remember to adjust the frequency of double cleansing based on your skin's needs. If your skin feels dry or sensitive, limit double cleansing to once a day, preferably in the evening. In the morning, a single cleanse with a water-based cleanser may be sufficient.
In conclusion, double cleansing is a beneficial technique for achieving clean, healthy skin. By customizing your double-cleansing routine according to your skin type, whether it's oily or dry, you can effectively remove impurities while addressing specific skincare concerns. Incorporate an oil-based cleanser or cleansing oil for the first cleanse, followed by a water-based cleanser or cleansing milk for a thorough and balanced double cleanse. Applying the Skeyndor Thermal Concentrate water after cleansing provides the skin intense hydration and nourishment and leaves you with rejuvenated skin every day. Remember to listen to your skin and adjust your routine as needed to maintain a healthy and radiant complexion.

Facial cleansing products and body wash 🚿
Hi everyone! In my last post I talked about skin types, the different characteristics of each, and the recommended types of products. In today's mini - essay I'd like to talk about skin in general, the different methods of cleansing, specifically body wash products, and why your average store body cleanser is probably not the best option.
As you might already know, the approach to cleansing should be different depending on your skin type, but keeping yourself clean is an essential factor, no matter what kind of characteristics your skin has. One of the methods to cleanse is through peelings and exfoliation. They are excellent choices for people who have thick and greasy skin, or problems such as acne.
Obviously, you shouldn't use just any scrub on your face. There are special exfoliating products designed for facial care specifically, which contain smaller scrubbing molecules, while exfoliating products for the body are bigger and rougher. What peeling and exfoliating products provide is basically removing excess dead skin, unclogging pores, and making the skin much softer afterwards.
Note : Exfoliating and peeling procedures shouldn't be done on a daily basis. Once a week is good, since doing this more often can result in skin that is too sensitive and easily irritated.
The next type of cleansing products work through attraction of dirt to the product. They are usually applied with a brush. Here we can talk about clay masks (White clay, also called kaolin), algae extract, charcoal masks (That are in a paste-like form), and zinc oxide. This kind of cleansing is very effective, deep and thorough, because it removes the excess secretions off the skin, such as sweat and dirt.
About body wash products
People mostly believe that the more foam a gel or shampoo creates, the better. It might give the illusion of a strong cleansing product. This isn't exactly wrong, but ;
Even though products that produce a lot of foam have a high cleaning efficacy, they also remove the skin's natural hydration.
They are very powerful when it comes to cleansing power, but perhaps too powerful for people that have dry or sensitive skin. They are the most irritant. Not only that, but they aren't particularly beneficial for any skin type, although they can be tolerated better by oily skin, yet the issue is that even people with oily skin present the most oiliness on their face, not on their body.
Therefore, very foamy products indicate high cleansing power, which might be effective in cases when you are very dirty, but if you keep regular hygiene habits, these products might just end up drying your skin too much.
We can also conclude that products that don't foam as much are better when it comes to respecting the skin's natural barrier ; They clean less that products that foam a lot, but this "less" doesn't always mean worse ; Like I mentioned, depending on your situation, you might need a powerful, foaming cleanser, but with a normal hygiene and a good, consistent routine, it is better to stick to less foaming and less irritating products.
Product recomendations for skincare
Cleansing milk is excellent for mixed, normal or dry skin. It adapts very well to the skin's natural pH, it is not irritant nor invasive. It's a good choice for sensitive skin as well, due to its gentleness. In addition, it makes the skin soft and hydrated, without feeling too greasy. You might see that some cleansing milks have hydrating properties too.
Syndet cleansers, or combo cleansers that combine soap and syndet. They are gentle on the skin as well, and syndet cleansers contain no soap, being a good choice for dry and sensitive skin especially. (Oily skin would benefit more from a combo, since it needs soap for thorough cleanse)
Oat cleansers. Oats are natural cleansers, so it's a good choice if you want to cleanse your skin while keeping things more natural. It has calming properties, being effective against easily irritated, dry, and sensitive skin in general. Oat products can come as creams and facial sprays as well, being effective for treating chronic dryness problems, such as atopic dermatitis or itchiness. Besides cleaning, it also provides the skin with a protective layer, maintaining it nourished.
Other products that I have personally used :
Facial products
- Sensibio Gel moussant by Sesderma
>It's mostly aimed for sensitive skin, and I use it because it's very gentle, contains no soap or fragrance and doesn't dry my skin out. It removes makeup pretty well too.
- Clarins Soothing gentle foaming cleanser
> It's aimed for sensitive skin as well, and it works very well as a cleanser. I noticed that you need very little of it to fully wash your face, even if you're wearing a bit of makeup. The skin feels very nice afterwards, which is great.
For face cream I use Nivea Soft, hydrating intense and refreshing cream. I mostly have dry / mixed skin, and this cream's hydrating effects last for a very long time, like I apply it in the morning and the whole day I feel my skin being very nourished. It's an excellent product if you suffer from dry skin or dry spots.
For the body
I have personal experience using Le Petit Marseille products. I believe their products are sold in pharmacies for about 4-5$ (I have the body wash gel with almond milk scent, and when I tell you it smells HEAVENLY) and they have other scents as well, such as peach and orange.
Their body wash gels don't contain that many ingredients, guaranteeing less possibility for irritation by other components, smell very, very good, and are gentle on the skin. They cost a bit more than an average body wash, but it is an investment so worth it for your skin.
I have used body wash products from InterApothek as well. Their products are sold in pharmacies, and the price is about 3-4$ I believe. The ingredients are 96% natural, and the products are fully vegan. I personally like their pomegranate gel a lot, it smells very good. I think this is a Spanish company though, I'm not sure if they sell these abroad (but it's so worth buying!)
Thank you for reading!

so beauty tips from me to you.
Animal fat = GOOD!!!
Healthy and beneficial for your body, skin, mind and overall health and wellbeing. Healthy animal fats will nourish you inside and out. Examples of incorporating these healthy animal fats into your diet would be swapping semi skimmed milk/ plant based milks for whole milk (lactose free if that is an issue), processed cheese swapped with real cheese and red meat/ poultry as protein in whatever meal of your choice etc. i know a lot of diets and health plans/ restrictions will prevent alot of people from eating or using animal products, i don’t blame you for this, what i will say is definitely do research on supplements and real substitutes that will provide your body with the same/ very similar nutrients. cutting these kinds of healthy and important fats from your diet can cause deficiencies etc.
Exfoliating in the shower/ bath:
There is nothing better than feeling, smelling and above all BEING clean, the best and safest way to do this is to exfoliate the dead skins and germs from your skin on a regular basis- by this i mean 1-2 times a week but not every day- to ensure healthy, bright, smooth and squeaky clean skin. You can exfoliate using gloves, scented sugar scrubs and or brushes or stones. i will admit my own faults with this, i have been known to over-exfoliate my skin, using harsh gloves, scrubs and brushes on an everyday basis which eventually caught up to me in sensitive, harsh and very easily ripped and cut skin, so don’t be like me.
on days where you do not want to exfoliate i recommend you start by washing your hair and then doing your body afterward to make sure no residue is left on your skin, potentially causing breakouts like bacne. you can use a soft and light wash cloth with a bar soap, then a liquid cleanser of any scent you prefer (i love coconut and milk!!!) and then finish off with an unscented cleansing body wash around your more sensitive areas, ensuring all soaps and washes clean your body EXTERNALLY!!!
Body butter, oils and moisturisers:
After showers while your skin is still damp, apply a body oil to your skin. i like using Bio-oil as it has skin healing properties like reducing scarring and *apparently* reducing the visibility of stretch marks. the reason is that oil will lock in that moisture in your skin, leaving you with a beautiful glow and silky smooth- and maybe you’ve just shaved too- this will also lock in that sweet sweet post shave softness all day long.
Once your oil is applied, you should go in with a scented moisturiser. if your skin is too sensitive for scented moisturisers or body butters i recommend using baby lotions, they’re a lot softer on the skin and there is a faint baby powder smell that will leave you smelling fresh without that added irritation. i recommend using a scented moisturiser that matches the scent of your body wash, for me that is coconut/ vanilla. this is to really enhance that smell on your skin and really make it your signature and ‘natural’ scent. lotion/body butter will also lock in moisture while adding in some beneficial elements of its own, i recommend applying some to your armpits and then spraying some deodorant on right after, to me this allows it to last longer.
Hair and skin
Get to know your skin and your hair, spend some time playing around with a mirror and analyse your hair texture, how oily or dry your skin is, what shape your eyes are, the length of your hair etc. All of these beautiful jigsaw pieces that make you uniquely beautiful, get to know them and understand them, this way you can correctly enhance their individual powers and create looks based on what YOU need. i don’t have much experience with curly hair as i have very straight hair, there are many blogs and websites available to tell you what hair type you have and how to care for it correctly. what i will say is using hair oils in the bottoms of your hair and a heat protector before applying head to dry/ style seems to work wonders for the shine of my hair.
as for skin, knowing your shade, how oily or dry it is, what colour of blush compliments your skin tone, what colour of eyeshadow compliments your eye shade etc will enhance your beauty by stars and stars!!! all of these unique qualities on your face are yours to learn and love, to build upon and allow to shine, these are all things that take time, experience, trial and error and above all, confidence to try. no one knows exactly who they are, what they like, what suits them and what doesn’t first try, it’s up to you to take the leap and also take feedback and constructive criticism- without letting people insult you- ask a friend what they think about your lipstick shade, or about your eyeshadow that day. sometimes it really does take a village to built confidence and understanding, even about your own self.
the last thing i will mention about hair and skin health and hygiene is making sure they are clean and free of harsh chemicals, dirt and grime for long periods of time. bathing and washing up frequently are important, double cleansing your face and removing all makeup before bed, and finally changing your sheets every 1-2 weeks- i know it is a task that is boring and time consuming but i promise it is absolutely worth it and so good for you. i recommend buying beautiful sheets and quilts that speak to you and motivate you to change them frequently- your hair, skin and overall hygiene will thank you for this.
That’s all for now sweethearts, let me know if you would like more of this from me or any beauty tips you have in the comments!!! i absolutely love hearing other peoples personal beauty secrets and advice!!! lots of love 🫧

Gotham beauty tip #1
Let's talk about cleanser. This city is hell on the skin. Between joker toxin, fear gas, general pollution, crazy plants, sudden incredible cold, and just general life, there are so many things that can affect your skin in our local environment. If skin care is something you care about then keep reading.
Why do we use cleanser? Well, to clear all the built up dirt, sweat, pollutants, sebum, and anything else thats settles into your face. This is extra important if you're a person that uses makeup. I use it twice a day - in the morning, and before bed. There are many kinds of cleansers and I think a chemistry degree is needed to actually understand what they all do, but I can give you the spark notes:
Oil cleanser - as in the name, it's made from an oil base. Good for removing oils off your face, such as make up, pollution, and excess skin oil. Usually used in a two step cleansing routine after a foam cleanser (more on those below). I usually only use this at night to help cleanse after wearing make up, but it's good at removing sludge and paint off your skin from experience too.
Cleansing balm : it's an oil cleanser but thickened into a balm or stick, less likely to leak everywhere if you put it in an overnight bag or something
Exfoliating cleansers: these guys cleanse and exfoliate at the same time. Exfoliating gently removes dead skin cells, excess sebum, uncloggs pores, and occasionally removes blackheads. Use these 1-2 times a week, and if you're not used to chemical based exfoliates, get something gentle. Like lactic acid. Personally I don't use an exfoliating cleanser, I just use an exfoliant.
Gel cleanser: simply, a gel formula. These are typically deep cleaning, and okay for most skin types, but typically a bit too drying on sensetive and dehydrated skin.
Foam cleanser: my favourite. You whip these guys up into a nice foam and it feels really nice on your skin. I use a couple - I have a salicylic acid based one for when I'm breaking out, and a gentle foam cleanser with enzymes in it for regular use. I use mine twice a day. Shockingly, does good in gothams' weird environment. Good for oily and combination skin especially.
Milk cleanser: has a milky or creamy texture, usually rather gentle and great for dry and sensitive skin types. Recommended that you use with a cloth.
So, a couple different types. How do you know what's best for you? That's what's tricky. Find out your skin type, or identify problems you are having - for example I have acne prone, oily skin, and look for products based around that. There are lots of ingredients that do different things in skincare, so it can be hard to know what to use. I like to online shop and Google what different ingredients do. I also look at reviews

Busting Common Skincare Myths: What Truly Works and What Doesn't
In the pursuit of radiant and flawless skin, it's easy to get lost in a maze of skincare myths and misconceptions. From homemade remedies to supposed miracle products, the beauty industry can sometimes leave us bewildered. Let's dive into some prevalent skincare myths, setting the record straight on what's effective and what's not.
Myth: The More, the Merrier
Reality: Layering multiple products may seem enticing, but quality trumps quantity. Overloading your skin can lead to irritation and clogged pores. A personalized routine catering to your skin type - including a cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, and targeted treatment if necessary - is the way to go.
Myth: Natural Means Safe
Reality: Just because something is labeled "natural" doesn't guarantee it's safe for all skin types. Allergies and reactions can still occur. It's crucial to read labels, patch-test, and consult a dermatologist before incorporating new products.
Myth: Pores Open and Close
Reality: You might have heard that steam opens pores while cold water closes them. In truth, pores lack muscles, so they can't change shape. Steam can temporarily soften debris, but a solid cleansing routine and exfoliation work better for maintaining clear pores.
Myth: Oily Skin Rejects Moisturizers
Reality: Hydration benefits all skin types, including oily ones. Skipping moisturizer can lead to increased oil production. Opt for a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer to maintain balance without causing breakouts.
Myth: Sunscreen Is for Sunny Days Only
Reality: Sunscreen is a must, no matter the weather. Harmful UV rays are present even on cloudy days and can penetrate windows. Consistent broad-spectrum sunscreen application safeguards your skin from premature aging and damage.
Best sunscreens EVER:
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Body & Face Sunscreen
LIVE TINTED Hueguard Invisible Sunscreen Stick SPF 50
Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense Face Sunscreen + Hydrating Serum with Broad Spectrum SPF 60+
Myth: Exfoliating Daily for Perfection
Reality: Exfoliation aids in cell turnover, but excess can cause irritation. 2-3 times a week with a gentle exfoliant is sufficient for a smoother complexion without harming your skin's barrier.
Amazing Facial Exfoliants:
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant - Exfoliator Facial Scrub Powder
TULA Skin Care So Poreless Exfoliating Blackhead Scrub
M-61 PowerGlow® Peel- 30 Treatments
Myth: Moisturizers and Oils Aggravate Acne
Reality: Acne-prone skin thrives with hydration. Seek non-comedogenic, oil-free options. Some oils, like jojoba or rosehip, can even regulate sebum and enhance skin appearance.
Moisturizers I personally love:
Paula’s Choice C5 Super Boost Moisturizer with 5% Vitamin C
e.l.f. SKIN Holy Hydration!
CeraVe Moisturizing Cream | Body and Face
TATCHA The Dewy Skin Cream
In conclusion, navigating through the world of skincare requires discerning fact from fiction. An informed approach, coupled with a streamlined routine, is the key to glowing skin. When in doubt, a dermatologist's guidance can be invaluable on your skincare journey. Remember, debunking skincare myths is an essential stride towards achieving your skin's best version.

hey saw that post wehre you said you knew lots abt skincare can i have some tips on how to keep your pores unblocked and clean
Sure! I also struggle with blocked pores (the oily skin curse lol) and some things that have helped me are double cleansing and exfoliating.
Double cleansing is where you use one type of cleaner (like micellar water, oil cleanser, or cleaning balm; I like the Neutrogena micellar cleansing milk) and then follow up with a cleaner for your skin type (i don't know your exact skin type and you're welcome to share more in some way so that I can give some better suggestions) to make sure that you're getting your skin nice and clean.
No matter what your skin type is, use moisturizer!
You can exfoliate using a physical or chemical exfoliant, I prefer and recommend chemical exfoliants because they tend to be easier to use and give more consistent results. Aha/bha (Paula's choice toner is a good one for this) or salicylic acid (can also be in a serum) are really good for both acne and clogged pores so I suggest starting with those.
If you need anything else, pop in and ask! I love talking about this and I wish you luck!

Top Skin Care Cleansers That Remove Makeup Without Stripping Your Skin
Say goodbye to harsh makeup removers and hello to gentle skin care cleansers that effectively remove makeup while preserving your skin's natural moisture. These cleansers are designed to dissolve stubborn products like foundation, mascara, and sunscreen without leaving your skin feeling dry or tight. Featuring nourishing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and natural oils, they cleanse deeply while maintaining hydration. Perfect for all skin types, including sensitive skin, these cleansers ensure a refreshed, makeup-free complexion with every use. Achieve clean, healthy skin without compromising its protective barrier with these top-rated makeup-removing cleansers.
Introduction to Skin Care Cleansers
Skin care is an essential part of maintaining healthy, youthful skin. One of the foundational steps in any skincare routine is using a skin care cleanser. Cleansers are designed to remove dirt, oil, makeup, and impurities from the skin, leaving it refreshed and prepped for further treatment with serums, moisturizers, or sunscreens. But with so many different types of cleansers available on the market, it can be hard to know which one to choose. Understanding your skin type and its needs is crucial to selecting the right cleanser that will work best for you.
Types of Skin Care Cleansers
Skin care cleansers come in a variety of forms, each catering to different skin types and concerns. Common types include gel cleansers, cream cleansers, foam cleansers, micellar water, and oil cleansers. Gel cleansers are often best for oily or acne-prone skin because they help remove excess sebum. Cream cleansers are ideal for dry skin, as they tend to be more moisturizing. Foam cleansers create a rich lather that deep cleanses the pores, making them great for normal to oily skin. Micellar water is a gentle option for those with sensitive skin or as a makeup remover, while oil cleansers are fantastic for breaking down stubborn makeup and impurities without stripping the skin of moisture.
The Role of Skin Care Cleansers in Your Routine
Cleansing your skin is one of the most important steps in a skincare routine. It sets the foundation for other treatments like serums and moisturizers. By removing dirt, oil, and dead skin cells, cleansers ensure that your skincare products are better absorbed by your skin. A good skin care cleanser should balance your skin's natural oils, keeping it clean without over-drying or irritating it. Regular cleansing also helps prevent clogged pores, which can lead to breakouts, blackheads, or other skin issues.
How to Choose the Right Skin Care Cleanser for Your Skin Type?
Selecting the right skin care cleanser is key to achieving your skincare goals. If you have oily skin, look for a gel or foaming cleanser that can effectively remove excess oil. For dry or sensitive skin, you’ll want a gentle cream or milk cleanser that provides moisture while cleansing. Combination skin may benefit from a mild gel or cream cleanser that doesn’t strip the skin of its natural oils. If you have acne-prone skin, opt for a cleanser with ingredients like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to target breakouts. Be sure to avoid cleansers with harsh chemicals or fragrances, which could irritate the skin.
Benefits of Using a Skin Care Cleanser Regularly
Using a skin care cleanser daily, typically twice a day (morning and night), has numerous benefits. First and foremost, it helps keep your skin free of impurities, which can cause breakouts or dullness. Cleansing also promotes a more even skin tone by removing dead skin cells and allowing new skin to regenerate. Furthermore, regular cleansing helps keep pores unclogged, reducing the risk of acne and blackheads. It also ensures that your other skincare products work effectively, as your skin will be prepped to absorb them better.
The Importance of Gentle Cleansing
While it may be tempting to scrub away at your skin with an abrasive cleanser, gentle cleansing is more effective in the long run. Over-cleansing or using harsh products can disrupt your skin’s natural protective barrier, leading to irritation, dryness, and redness. Instead, choose a cleanser that’s formulated to clean without being too harsh. Opt for soothing ingredients like aloe vera, chamomile, or glycerin, which can calm the skin while effectively removing dirt and oil. When cleansing, use a gentle motion, avoiding excessive scrubbing, to prevent unnecessary stress on your skin.
How Often Should You Use a Skin Care Cleanser?
The frequency with which you use a skin care cleanser depends on your skin type and your lifestyle. For most people, cleansing twice a day—once in the morning and once before bed—is ideal. Morning cleansing helps remove sweat and oil that has accumulated overnight, while nighttime cleansing is crucial to remove makeup, dirt, and pollution from the day. If you have sensitive or dry skin, you might want to cleanse only once a day and use a gentler product. For those with oily or acne-prone skin, a more frequent cleansing routine might be necessary to keep the skin free from excess oil and bacteria.
Conclusion
Incorporating a skin care cleanser into your daily routine is essential for maintaining clear, healthy skin. Skincare Updates
Hey everyone and welcome to this new year of 2025. I just recently turned 26 and I have some new skincare I've implemented throughout last year and it has gotten me amazing results to maintain plump and clear skin as well as now that I have to take in more collagen I've had to adapt and overcome. Here it is:
Homemade Collagen Gummies
I've been starting to eat more collagen and a simple and fun way of assuring that has been making homemade gummies- more specifically: Coconut Matcha gummies. I previously made some some with green tea and honey; they turned out good and I recommend you try. Personally the coconut milk ones are my favorite due to the richness and creaminess of coconut. Here's the link to them if you're interested in making them. They're fast and easy to make and see if you like them as much as I do!
Side Sleeper Pillow
I've been a side sleeper all my life due to have back pack when I sleep on my back but I bought this pillow not only for my neck but to prevent preventable wrinkles due to years of consistent side sleeping. There's also pillow sheets for these, I personally haven't tried them but let me know if you have:
Castor Oil Pack and Rose Oil
Castor oil on my face especially the eyebrows and slather it all over my body after the shower; I wakeup and my body isn't as bloated anymore. This is a perfect time to do a body lymphatic massage or use some massage wood body tools as well. Rose oil is just used on my face, neck, hands and chest.
HaruHaru Wonder Eye Cream Non-Retinol
I've been currently using this eye cream for about two weeks and my eyelids and under eyes have improved on plumpness around the eyes and wrinkles due to dry environment.
Morning Routine
Beauty of Joseon Cleansing oil
La Roche-Posay Foaming Facial Cleanser For Oily Skin
La Roche-Posay Triple Repair Moisturizer
Since I moved to a dry location, this has helped my face stay moisturized. It doesn't feel heavy or oily which is great if you have oily skin like me.
Vaseline for lips and elbows.
African Net Scrub
My Skin Feels sooo soft after using these in the shower
Naturium The Glow Getter Body Wash
This has helped my body throughout the winter stay hydrated and add a glow to it as well. I've been wanting to try their Salicylic Acid body wash and other products of theirs.
Trendy Xiaohongshu body mask
I've seen the girls on Xiaohongshu do this body mask for about a year or two now and I didn't try it before because I wasn't sure if I would like it. I've been doing this once a week since October and the only regret that I have is that I didn't try this sooner :).
I have struggled with body acne that turned into hyperpigmentation and scarring throughout my life especially in the my teenage years and early 20's. I have always been insecure about them and never felt comfortable wearing tank tops or anything that showed my back, shoulders and upper arms. This mask has dramatically reduced the hyperpigmentation. I only leave it on for 10-12 minutes and wash it off (I don't use saran wrap but you can if you want) and I highly recommend using sunscreen and/or a light jacket during the summer especially since sun exposure makes hyperpigmentation worse.

Head and Shoulders Shampoo
I have used other shampoos throughout my life ranging from high end to low end but I'm very body acne prone so this is the only shampoo I feel comfortable touching my back since it helps with fungal and bacterial acne. If I like the smell of a specific shampoo or conditioner I lather it onto my hair after this shampoo and put it up in a bun while I'm shaving or something still in the shower and wash it out a couple of minutes after but I try to avoid the shampoo to touch my body as I rinse it off.
The End.

Nourish and Cleanse: The Perfect Skincare Routine for a Healthy Glow
Achieving a healthy and radiant complexion starts with the right cleansing routine. Skincare experts emphasize the importance of using gentle yet effective products to remove impurities without stripping the skin of essential moisture. One such product that has gained popularity among skincare enthusiasts is Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser. Designed for sensitive skin, this cleanser provides a soothing and hydrating experience while effectively removing dirt, makeup, and excess oil.
In addition to liquid cleansers, solid cleansing bars have become an essential part of many skincare routines. They offer convenience, sustainability, and effectiveness in a single package. Among the top choices is Avene Cleansing Bar, a dermatologist-recommended option that caters to sensitive skin needs. With its nourishing formula, it helps maintain the skin’s natural barrier, ensuring a refreshed and revitalized look.
The Importance of Gentle Cleansing
Cleansing is the first and most crucial step in any skincare regimen. Many traditional cleansers contain harsh ingredients that strip away natural oils, leading to dryness and irritation. A gentle approach, on the other hand, ensures that the skin remains balanced and hydrated. Products formulated for sensitive skin help maintain the delicate moisture barrier while removing impurities, making them ideal for daily use.
Choosing the Right Cleanser
When selecting a cleanser, it’s essential to consider skin type and specific needs. A hydrating formula works best for dry or sensitive skin, while those with oily or combination skin may benefit from a balancing product. Cream-based cleansers offer a soothing touch, while cleansing bars provide an eco-friendly alternative without compromising on effectiveness.
Benefits of a Milk-Based Cleanser
A milk-based cleanser is perfect for those looking to cleanse their skin without causing irritation. These types of cleansers are enriched with hydrating ingredients that ensure the skin remains soft and supple. They work efficiently to remove dirt and pollutants while providing a calming effect. This makes them an excellent choice for individuals prone to redness or sensitivity.
Why a Cleansing Bar is a Smart Choice
A cleansing bar offers numerous advantages, including portability and minimal waste. Unlike liquid cleansers, which come in plastic packaging, a solid bar often features sustainable packaging, making it a more environmentally friendly choice. Additionally, it provides a deep yet gentle cleanse, making it suitable for daily use.
How to Incorporate These Products Into Your Routine
To achieve the best results, follow a consistent skincare routine:
Morning Routine: Start with a gentle cleanser to remove overnight buildup. Follow up with a lightweight moisturizer and sunscreen to protect against UV damage.
Evening Routine: Use a gentle cleanser to remove dirt and makeup accumulated throughout the day. Finish with a hydrating serum and a night cream to lock in moisture.
Weekly Care: Exfoliate once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells and enhance absorption of skincare products.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the right cleanser can make a significant difference in maintaining healthy skin. Whether opting for a milk-based formula or a cleansing bar, ensuring that the product suits your skin’s needs is essential. A gentle yet effective cleansing routine not only keeps the skin refreshed but also enhances its overall health, giving you a naturally radiant glow. By incorporating high-quality skincare products, you can achieve a balanced, nourished, and luminous complexion every day.
