I must say... as a big fan of both Tory and Robby, Robby was shafted yet again in most of the finale, but Tory's win was the only win of everyone that actually felt earned and made me really happy.

Plus, after 6 seasons of them being the show's punching bags, both Robby and Tory ultimately, finally got the happy ending together that they deserve. I've always really liked them as a couple because they come from similar backgrounds and it's like they're the only ones who understand each other's pain.

I know a lot of people aren't loving the whole influencer thing, but I think it's actually poetic and beautiful how they grew up to become the heroes that they needed when they were young and will inspire kids like them.

P.S. both Peyton List and Tanner Buchanan's performances have always been top-notch and this season was no exception, regardless of any writing I didn't love, and I wish them everything lovely in life

it’s very unlikely that sam and dean’s sex scenes with girls would reflect their possible sexual dynamic with each other because they have their own unique relationship + power imbalance (as well as dean’s desire to be in charge when it comes to sam) but even judging by their sex scenes with girls, dean is literally more toppy than sam. it’s not about the dom/sub undertones btw (dom/sub is about power. top/bottom is about penetration. and apparently most people in the spn fandom can’t tell the difference between these dynamics because they believe “dean is a bottom in his sex scenes”)

I just rewatched the very first CK episode and what a delight it still is. I was a little worried that the first season seemed good only in comparison with the latest one but no. At least the pilot is actually pretty awesome. I only watched tKK for the first time because I wanted to check out CK. And I was surprised at how fast the series turned Johnny into a sympathetic character. He was so scary in the movie. Also not only the writing used to be more realistic but the way the series was shot too. Johnny’s apartment wasn’t lit like a sitcom. The lighting in general was moodier. Not that I don't like the season 4 AV epic lighting but the show used to feel more personal with less budget. Plus there were lots of hand-held camera shots. Johnny’s socio-economic situation was part of his character and not just a decoration. Everything was pretty small scale story wise too and it worked so well. There’s this cool contrast between Johnny’s more realistically portrayed everyday life and how Daniel is at first shown only on the billboard and in the commercials. Even though Daniel’s behaviour is mostly nice and friendly in the episode it gives the audience a nudge towards the underdog. Daniel in general seems to be quite genuine about being over their rivalry at this point. I didn’t remember that his animosity was in fact mostly towards Cobra Kai and not Johnny specifically. Which is funny considering how the series is seemingly going to end. So it is a really well made episode. The writing is good and it has a look of a very personal, character driven drama with comedic elements. I know the show will eventually lean more into comedy and action but I like these less stakes dramatic elements a lot.

it's still really weird for me to believe that people actually care about me.

No, I'm actually weirdly endeared by that bit of development because I love the idea that Terry cared about someone and someone cared about him throughout the years, even if it is his loyal henchmen. Poor Snake, but, ah, I like it. I like that he just had these two goons he's been connected to one way or another for ages. Rare bit of positivity out of me. Mark that down in the calendar. (😂).

Amidst all of the very valid Cobra Kai negativity out there (and as someone who is feeling extremely let down as well), at the end of the day, there are still some positives I want to note that make it all worth it, at least for me

Honestly, it was an incredible surprise and blessing that Thomas Ian Griffith came out of retirement at all, and regardless of whatever did and didn't happen when it comes to the "story" (idk might be giving them too much credit there), we still got so many good and iconic scenes out of his return and I can truly say, without the old man, CK version of Terry, I would not like or care about him as a character in the slightest; maybe that makes me a fake fan but idc, that's just the way it is

This is a weirder one, but I also love that the lackluster finale has inspired all of the extremely gifted writers on here to revisit their projects and dream up new ones, trying to right the wrongs in the way that we can

And speaking of those gifted writers, as well as the talented gif creators and supportive readers, I've met several incredibly sweet and fun people that I would have never crossed paths with, ever, otherwise- and we've had some amazing times together, haven't we?

In the end, I look forward to keeping in touch with y'all and seeing where we continue to take this character, because this is not the end!
