When Castiel’s long-time ‘secret’ admirer, Dean Winchester, gives him one-too-many anonymous roses, he decides it’s time to nudge the man into an admission. When Dean Winchester’s neighbour and long-time crush, Castiel, hints at his feelings for Dean, he decides maybe it’s time to cut the crap and ask the man out. With a date that’s sweet as honey and warm as wine, Dean’s wondering why he ever doubted himself in the first place.

Now, I know that the whole Cas and bees thing is born from fanfic and headcanons, but who can deny that it’s probably one of the better ones our fandom has come up with? There are even entire bangs centered around the idea, which is how I found this sweet as honey fic. 

Buzzed is all about bakery/bar owner Cas who owns the shop next to Dean’s flower shop, where, from his roof, he can watch his neighbor nervously pick out the perfect flowers to deliver to him, all under the guise that Castiel has a secret admirer. Cas is extra sweet about it when he gives Dean the nudge he needs to encourage him to make a move. 

What results is a fluffy first date between them that you won’t want to miss, especially if you’re looking for something especially soft and honey-sweet. Dean is adorable as well, but you’ll have to click to read about the bouquet he makes, each flower picked out just for Cas. It’s adorable, and a quick read, and definitely not one to miss.
