I know that we have fics of Bernard finding out the batfam's identities through Tim. But I honestly think it will be hilarious if Bernard found out through Dick instead.

Bernard basically lives in Gotham's conspiracy forums, he noticed a connection between the first Robin's disappearance and Nightwing's debut. He brushed it off and continued to gather info and online stalk the bats throughout the years.

Let's say that Nightwing rescued him one time and Bernard catalogue every detail he could get his hands on. Then he later met Dick when Tim was introducing him to the family. Safe to say Bernard clocked on him, but didn't say a word.

And then we would have an incident where Batman needs help but the rest of the family is either away or unable to help. So Bernard went to Nightwing.
