Despite not sleeping that well, I woke up with relative ease, so I walked my dog, and once back I packed my bag of things to bring to my sisters house tomorrow (pictured is me trying to work out how many films I should bring, and if I should bring any in a series), I then did a good bit of reading from ‘Chasing The Moon’, after lunch I finished ‘Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow’, soon after that I finished writing up the last of my quotes from that book, I then had a nice long bath, worked on my 2024 reading journal, did more common place work, and finally crashing in bed to do more reading. I love days like this.

I’m in the midst of Christmas gift planning and may I say it’s going

To try and help myself not spend too much or buy a billion things my boyfriend doesn’t need, I implemented a 5 gift limit. As planning went on, I started to realize a lot of my “gifts” are more experiences than anything, and are costing me WAY more in the long run. Did I start readjusting my plans once I realized this? Yes. Did I CHANGE any of these plans? Nah.

So now we’re doing an experience once a week as a special “date night” sort of thing, where I can give him a new gift each week. I did have to work together with him for the first surprise which was a cooking class we’ve wanted to do for a year, so we can each get a discount cause these are up there in price but worth it 😅

Week two will be one of my favorites because I get to go “surprise babe, you’re now a level 3 good mythical society member!!” And watch his mind explode. It also comes with a great discount I can use to get a ton of gifts from the actual website itself for Christmas. We’ll order in whatever food he wants and spend the night watching all the new content we can.

Week three will be a concert/rave with a group we enjoy so we can let loose and dance and focus on having fun together with good music 🥰 and maybe some birria? Because god how good is birria?

Last but not least, just days before Christmas, we’re gonna take it easier on the cash and bake Christmas cookies and watch movies in matching pajamas and be generally adorable together. I’m still not sure what all his stocking will have in it besides a new bucket hat, but I do know I’ll be mixing it up this year and making fondue for Christmas! Gonna have all the veggies, steak, homemade Asiago bread, yeah we’re gonna hurt.

Should I probably be thinking more about moving? Yes. Is that a slightly later problem? Also yes!

Pumpkaboo is the obvious one, but y'know, sometimes the obvious one is the right one! (we'll say SUPER SIZE Pumpkaboo, just for fun. big pumpkin for big skeleton boy.) and another person actually also suggested Greavard, which I somehow hadn't considered, but feels so perfect that I feel like I should have. dangit.

Wanted to share some progress on the text-based IF and the visual novel assets!

Text-based IF:

Writing of the new chapter (where Nat arrives in Singapore and when one has a final date with Shay/Qiu before needing to commit in the following chapter) is complete, and has been sent off to beta-testers!

Release dates:

Ko-fi supporters, non-beta-tested version - 28 Dec Ko-fi supporters, beta-tested version - 1 Jan Public release - 7 Jan

Visual novel:

Progress for writing and art has been steady! I have a team of super amazing, talented artists (@crxwes, @gncrezan, Silvia and Fie). Some amazing characters and backgrounds have been created so far! Here's a sneak preview :)

Shout-out also to @dumplingcatho (for the wonderful character portraits), and @snowthornes (for helping with the coding). Y'all are awesome.
