imagine ur tim drake, it's the anniversary of ur mother's funeral, christmas eve, and you're absolutely shitting ur pants bc you let your teammate feed you the crabcakes they made
you're absolutely going through it, and then u find out that doomsday (not the villain) is coming in the form of a meteor. u try to call batman and he's off planet. u call up nightwing's team and they're dealing with their own battle. there's nobody to help so you and your team go to fuckin,, fight an evil meteor. one of your friends is writing a will. you're all ready to die (you're ready to reunite with your mother).
and then fucking santa comes and waves hi and your team tries to tell him to watch out and then the evil meteor crashes into his sleigh and fucking explodes him and the reindeers in a glorious gory death
man. what are you doing next christmas eve.

"Remember to check with a teacher or one of the gardeners before eating what you pick from the gardens." calls out teacher Max.
The youngling centre was on a field trip visiting the ships indoor public garden that grows both flowers and vegetables from a variety of different planets. Younglings took joy in sharing and showing their friends vegetables and plants from their own respective planet. Even the teachers, Max and Kim, were happy to tell them about earth's plants.
"Wow, what's that Emira?"
"It's a glass flower!" she chirps holding up a beautiful flower with the petals and stem translucent. "They're my favorite flower!"
"So pretty! Can you...eat it!" the human grins.
"No!" the avian giggles. "You can't eat it! But my Maemae says you can use the roots for tea that helps tummy aches."
"I'll have to remember that." he nods, wearing an utmost serious and thoughtful face. The nearby gardeners chuckle.
"You should!"
"I shall-!"
"TEACHER MAAAX!!"
All heads whip to the south of the garden. At the very end of it is Ezshi screaming and waving their little tail and arms frantically. Beside them is Pollix, Zyz, and Tarlak huddling around a Kim kneeling on the ground grabbing her throat.
"Mr Max you stay h-" the gardeners watched as the human sprinted as fast he could to the other side of the gardens. Seconds later the younglings followed suit with Emira leading them, flapping her little wings as fast as she can.
"KIM! KIM WHAT'S WRONG?!" he skids to a stop beside her grabbing her shoulders to examine her.
The human shakes her head, face red, opens her mouth to speak only to go into a coughing fit. Her right hand at her throat, her left pounding her chest.
"What happened?? Did you eat something?? Kids what did she eat?!" later he'll apologize for shouting but right now he can't help it. Right now he's going through every lesson he's had about what to do when one eats something harmful/unknown to their species.
"I-I don't know! Tarlak gave it to her!" Zyz cries, tears streaming down their little snout.
"Tarlak, buddy, what did you give her??" the little Simia's lips quiver as he stares at the still hacking Kim.
"Tarlak, focus. What did you give her? What planet plot was it from?" Max grabs his shoulders, making him look solely at him and not Kim.
"...earth...it-it was from earth. This." he hands over a half eaten white plant bulb.
"...Kim's fine kids." he sighs flopping over onto the dirt. The adrenaline immediately leaving his body.
"What! What is it?!" they all cry.
"It's garlic."
For a moment there is silence save for some sighs of relief from the human children. And then.
"GET THE RED BAG!"
"CALL THE GARDENERS!"
"SHE'S GONNA DIEEE!"
All the younglings scream and wail. Most like Emira, however, simply cling to the human silently crying.
"...what?! Kids! She's not dying."
" 'm not...dying." Kim rasps, finally done coughing.
"Garlic is poison! It's how my Maemae's uncle died!" Emira wails.
"I heard one garlic clove can kill a hundred rextalians!" Ezshi frets.
"What are you talking abo...oooh. Thiosulfate."
"Thio-whatnow?" Kim coughs, spitting out a piece of garlic she frees from her cheek.
"Reason why most animals can't eat garlic and onions. Including most other non-earth species."
"...Oooh! Okay learning time! Listen up kids. Humans can eat garlic! Got it? Humans can eat garlic and other foods like garlic, our body breaks it down and stuff."
"But you choked and your face turned red!"
"Because the taste is very strong. It's like lemons. Basically I took a giant bite out of a lemon."
"...Ooooh!" cries out the younglings now understanding that their teacher is not dying.
"Wait why did you take a giant bite out of garlic?" laughs Max.
"I didn't know if was garlic or an onion and Tarlak's dad uses onions for to make a bug repellent...don't judge me I've never seen garlic in that shape before!"
"Why didn't you ask a gardener?"
"They're all the way on the other side of the field! Just-shush!"
"I'm never letting you live this down. Now help me stop the human kids from doing some kind of garlic challenge. I see Anthony and Piper eyeing them."

EDIT: I really should have said respiratory allergies instead of pollen allergies. if you're allergic to dust/mold/pet dander you can use the pollen allergy options
if you're not sure what you should answer because you outgrew one or more of these then just pick the answer that speaks to your heart... I cannot decide if you are still an eczema warrior if your last flare-up was 8 years ago, that's your call

a quick reminder to everyone
I have SEVERE LEARNING DISABILITIES
I am literally disabled because of my learning disabilities, I have faced literal descrimnation because of it.
everytime you call us retarded or a retard you are ACTIVLY upholding the systems in which I am trapped in.
I take more offence in being called a retard than anything due to the literal DECADES of systematic abuse and descrimnation from the medical system, every single government resource, and almost all school alternatives.
fuck you greatly if you use these words against us, I have to live in a country where they hate people like me and would rather us dead than to do literally anything to help people like us.
call us what you will, but I will never call anyone retarded because it’s a basic decency reserved for everyone.
I’m a very happy retard, fuck your ableism!
I will happily live and love and learn even if THE LITERAL GOVERNMENT doesn’t want me too.
(yeah being a mid supports autistic with other learning disabilities and disabilities in general that made me unable to attend a school just means I deserve to die. 100% legit I deal with this literally all the time always fuck the Australian government)
so again fuck you all greatly, for using a literal slur against me one that has been used against me since I was a baby.
fuck you all, genuinely.
did I forfeit my rights to be treated as a human being the moment I had a bit of trouble learning things? Because if I did I’d like to break someone’s teeth with a brick.
Edit: the language and lines between what the fuck developmental disabilities and intellectual disability are is confusing as fuck.
I have gotten very confused between the 2 because they are grouped together half the time.
My apologies to everyone for being utterly confused where I fall because it is extremely confusing to figure out, and internationally it varies wildly according to my brief reading.
I did not mean to be mean or anything I just was genuinely going off what I’ve been told most my life lol.
Shout out to my developmentally disabled brethren you are loved
#-pop#activism stuff#disability#Learning disabilities#learning disability#dyslexia#anticapitalism stuff#anarchism stuff#mental health stuff#dysgraphia#adhd#autism#I’m actually somewhat on the intellectually disabled spectrum lol. Not that it’s changed my tune (I got other severe devoplmental disorders#I still had to experience insane ableism my entire life and like continue to into my adulthood with no sign of it stopping soon#like genuinely fuck some people. Those are not your words to use#r slur mention#r slur tw#(idk what even counts but man I have so much wrong with me. and like it's not like this shit does not run in my family LOL my bisnonna was-#actually illiterate and had severe learning disabilities lol she was awesome and made a life for herself so again this shit does not stop-#anyone it just sucks because the education system is fucked screw that shit. idk  I've never actually looked at my medical record-#I actually should because I have a strong feeling I'm diagnosed with some crazy shit that none of my family remembers bc we just have shit-#memory (for my parents it's the trauma ngl. for me it's also the trauma and the ADHD LOL)#so at this point I just have been disabled by fuck do I know there's literally more maladies that run in my family than I can describe. lik#it's not that weird for me specifically to have severe learning disablities and also devoplmental ones it makes sense with what I know.#I was literally a tinny tiny failure to thrive child actually. who could barely eat anything due to severe allergies and more shit!

Okay like two hours have passed since I got the Pfizer booster and I have had like zero side effects. I think a lot of the things I thought were vaccine side effects were just that I was apparently very, very allergic to the Moderna vaccine, so that's...something lol

Currently having issues with my own asthma so I’m gonna project onto characters.
Gem has asthma that likes to act up when she’s running around, which she does lots when she’s little, but she doesn’t quite notice when an attack is coming on so she has to have a caregiver keep a eye on her when she’s little just in case. Unfortunately attacks still happen But her caregiver’s (Impulse and Cleo) catch them before they get too bad and help her through them. As much as they suck, at least it gives her an excuse for cuddles. It helps that Cleo has asthma too, so she’s good at coaching the little through attacks in the event they get too scary.
Sometimes all you can do is deal with the attacks when they happen. Prevention can be difficult when we're talking about someone who wants to run and play.

*Dr. Smita Goel Homeopathy Clinic*
www.thehomeopathyclinic.co.in
Our immune system is our body’s defense against infections and other harmful invaders. Without it, we would constantly get sick from bacteria or viruses.
Our immune system is made up of special cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect us.
Normally, the immune system can tell the difference between foreign cells and our own cells.
In an autoimmune disease, the immune system mistakes part of our body, like our joints or skin, as foreign. It releases proteins called autoantibodies that attack healthy cells.
Some autoimmune diseases target only one organ. Type 1 diabetes damages the pancreas. Other diseases, like Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), affect the whole body..
Women get autoimmune diseases rate is high compared to men. Often the disease starts during a woman’s childbearing years (15Years to 44Years).
Certain autoimmune diseases, like multiple sclerosis and lupus, run in families. Not every family member will necessarily have the same disease, but they inherit a susceptibility to an autoimmune condition.
Because the incidence of autoimmune diseases is rising, researchers suspect environmental factors like infections and exposure to chemicals or solvents might also be involved. Our modern life style, working style and foods are also huge causes.
We don’t know exactly what causes autoimmune diseases. Genetics, diet, infections, and exposure to chemicals might be involved.
The lymph or lymphatic, system is a major part of the immune system. It's a network of lymph nodes and vessels. Lymphatic vessels are thin tubes that branch, like blood vessels, throughout the body. They carry a clear fluid called lymph. Lymph contains tissue fluid, waste products, and immune system cells. Lymph nodes are small, bean-shaped clumps of immune system cells that are connected by lymphatic vessels. They contain white blood cells that trap viruses, bacteria, and other invaders, including cancer cells.
White blood cells are the cells of the immune system. They are made in one of your lymph organs, the bone marrow. Other lymph organs include the spleen and thymus.
When our immune system doesn't work the way it should, it is called an immune system disorder.
• Primary immune deficiency – Be born with a weak immune system.
• Acquired immune deficiency – Get a disease that weakens your immune system.
• Allergic reaction – Have an immune system that is too active.
• Autoimmune disease – Have an immune system that turns against you.
There are some common examples:
• Severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) is an example of an immune deficiency that is present at birth. Children are in constant danger of infections from bacteria, viruses, and fungi. This disorder is sometimes called “bubble boy disease.”
• Temporary acquired immune deficiencies. Our immune system can be weakened by certain medicines, for example: This can happen to people on chemotherapy or other drugs used to treat cancer. It can also happen to people following organ transplants who take medicine to prevent organ rejection. Also, infections like the flu virus, mono (mononucleosis), and measles can weaken the immune system for a brief time. Our immune system can also be weakened by smoking, alcohol, and poor nutrition.
• AIDS. HIV, which causes AIDS, is an acquired viral infection that destroys important white blood cells and weakens the immune system. People with HIV/AIDS become seriously ill with infections that most people can fight off. These infections are called “opportunistic infections” because they take advantage of weak immune systems.
If we are born with certain genes, our immune system may react to substances in the environment that are normally harmless. These substances are called allergens. Having an allergic reaction is the most common example of an overactive immune system. Dust, mold, pollen, and foods are examples of allergens.
Some conditions caused by an overactive immune system are:
• Asthma: The response in our lungs can cause coughing, wheezing, and trouble breathing. Asthma can be triggered by common allergens like dust or pollen or by an irritant like tobacco smoke.
• Eczema: An allergen causes an itchy rash known as atopic dermatitis.
• Allergic rhinitis: Sneezing, a runny nose, sniffling, and swelling of your nasal passages from indoor allergens like dust and pets or outdoor allergens like pollens or molds.
In autoimmune diseases, the body attacks normal, healthy tissues. The causes are unknown. It is probably a combination of a person’s genes and something in the environment that triggers those genes.
There are some common autoimmune diseases are:
• Type 1 diabetes: The immune system attacks the cells in the pancreas that make insulin. Insulin removes sugar from the blood to use as energy.
• Rheumatoid arthritis: This type of arthritis causes swelling and deformities of the joints. An auto-antibody called rheumatoid factor is in the blood of some people with rheumatoid arthritis.
• Lupus: This disease that attacks body tissues, including the lungs, kidneys, and skin. Many types of auto-antibodies are found in the blood of people with lupus.
So, we should never ignore to our care for immunity system. Homeopathy medicines are a good choice for improving our immunity system.

Anyways very funny to see food allergy posting on our dash. We've recently learned there's a decent chance we're either sensitive or allergic to capsaicin, the thing that makes food spicy, which is very very funny to us specifically because we recently spent several weeks in Germany and spent the whole time halfway to starving to death because they didn't have anything Spicy and we are now discovering that apparently spice is "hostile to our body" and "not something we should be eating" despite it being a staple of our diet for most of our life
