Make milkshakes??? it seems very obvious in retrospect, perhaps everyone else knows this, i only assume otherwise bc id think if everyone else Did know this we would all be constantly making milkshakes for ourselves and i have never heard anyone mention doing so. 1 cup ice cream 1/4 cup milk mixed until smooth consistency. thaw the ice cream for like 15min beforehand. you can just like mix it in a cup w a spoon. like thats literally it thats all it takes. you got milkshake babey.

Greetings from one tea lover to another! You've made me wonder: what is regarded as an indigenous drink in Texas? [Goes Googling.] Sotol? Yaupon / black drink? Oil?!

Hello! Oooohh! Excellent question. I think that’s gonna depend on where in Texas you’re at. Given that’s it’s so big, there’s gonna be a lot of variety as there are quite a few tribes that call/have called Texas home. (Interactive map here!)

Unfortunately, I couldn’t actually find any beverages associated with the tribes native to my area, just foods and other consumables. I’m sure they drank herbal teas and the like but I wasn’t able to find anything specific.

All that said, if you walked up to a Texan and asked them what their favorite Texan beverage was you’d probably get iced tea, Shiner Bock, Dr. Pepper, or Big Red (soda not the gum).

Woke up early today for my appointment and only had a tiny piece of walnut pastry for breakfast. Post appointment, I dropped by at KFC Singapore for breakfast. Chose the Original Recipe Riser Egg Meal (S$6.60) which included the burger, two pieces of hash brown and a white coffee. Enjoyed that thick and savoury crispy chicken fillet, scrambled egg, cheese and drizzle of mayonnaise between soft oat bran buns while sipping the hot milk coffee. How I wished my morning is spent at such leisurely pace and not rushing for the train and bus. :(

I just need to tell people about this cheese I love, because the grocery store had more today! Chèvre wrapped in smoked maple leaves! I can't say it is my favorite cheese because I have too many favorites, but I do love smokey cheeses. (It's hard to beat a crazily sharp cheddar though)

- my top fave coffee drink of all time is an iced caramel macchiato, my beloved. i know how basic this sounds but the secret is out… i like my coffee sweet!! (shameful i know i can hear the coffee snobs coming for me as we speak) anyways this drink was made for me like i love a fun aesthetic looking beverage that tastes good, it has a very very low chance of cross contamination re: my allergies (which is even better!!), and i make it for myself at least once every shift!

- i also like iced lattes. i like the taste of espresso compared to regular coffee if i have a choice! also i prefer my coffee cold (iced) bc it takes me 110 years to drink anything

- tea wise!! ohhh there is nothing better than a hot black tea with a spoonful of honey to end the day <333 i’m also partial to iced tea but prefer green tea if it’s cold

tbh i’m very lucky to be picky and choosy bc i’m a barista a few days a week but most days i settle for hot coffee in the mornings bc i am too tired to make anything fancier hehehe. anyways coffee people don’t hate me for being the most basic human being on this planet 🙏
