So like, how would FL/childe react to you giving them pretty rocks? I love collecting rocks and tumbling them, and I also like giving them to everyone I mildly like.

Like, you just casually find a cool rock on the street, so you pick it up, clean it, and hand it to FL/Childe. You do this every time you two go out. The house is covered in rock that you gave them.

ahh, the crow instinct. always a favorite of mine!!

it starts with one little rock, gray and smooth and smaller than your palm. it looks boring to many, but it's perfect to you- it's so wonderfully shaped! round and oblong, a perfect oval. you bring it to Legacy with little fanfare, merely setting the stone in his open claws before turning back to whatever you were doing. but he stares at it, wide-eyed, admiring its smooth surface and perfect shape. he puts it on his favorite shelf, amongst the other knickknacks he's accrued over the years- a hawk's feather, a bead bracelet you made him that needs to be repaired, the tiny glass whale you brought back from a trip. the rock goes right in the center, a pleased purr coming from his lips before he wanders off to assist you again. the rock is momentarily forgotten, yet still proudly displayed on his little shelf of trinkets for the time being

then you give him another. and another. and another, until almost every shelf is decorated with at least one little stone

sometimes the rocks are mostly plain, with an interesting stripe or shape, while other times they turn out to be chunks of crystal or petrified wood- half of the fun is finding out what he gets this time. Childe brings each stone to Zhongli when he's on break, watching the ex-Archon carefully examine it with a smile- he always has a story to tell the Eleventh Harbinger about the rocks, praising you for your good taste even over the simplest ones. Childe takes them back to him with a subtle grin on his face, picking the perfect place to position it and just looking at his collection fondly- they shine so softly in the light of your home

it's little surprise when Foul Legacy begins bringing you all types of flowers, nudging and encouraging you to press and dry them for display or use
