Kanja: So, these men just put the egg in a mere box? And then left it alone, completely unguarded, despite thinking a monster would hatch from it? Why didn’t they just destroy it? Or sold it? Assuming that that egg was actually layed by a rooster, something that rare should make a sum...

Nero: What do I know? I’m just telling you the story they told me back at home. But why would they lie? Also, it wasn’t just a mere box. It was a treasure box! And if that egg can hatch a monster, it is probably also hard to destroy.

Kanja: Why would they lie? Boy, sailors spin yarn all the time. They love the attention. Who would be better to tell a made up story to than a little boy hungry for adventure?

Don: They didn’t destroy the egg at the end of the story to keep you thinking about it. Classic cliffhanger. You of all people should know. Also, there is no way a monster - a basilisk! - hatches from a chicken egg.

Nero: Rooster! That’s what makes it special!

Don: I can’t believe you really planned to have us looking for some made up treasure to sell. As if we hadn’t enough work to do. If you are that broke again, just lend some money from one of us instead of hunting fantasies.

Nero: Shut up, Don!

"A Rooster's? Egg?? Do you mean a rooster is contained within that egg or that a Rooster, a male chicken, layed that egg?" He asks, confused as to why this would be within a treasure chest.
