Hello everyone and welcome to my second day of blogging about Palestine

today i wanted to highlight some charities and foundations that you can financially support instead of big companies who are going to fund your money into guns and supplies for the Israel troops

1. Press - House Palestine

Press-house Palestine is a non-for-profit organisation which supports the journalists documenting the lives of people within Gaza. This organisation grants journalists with legal protection so that their experiences and freedom of speech can be presented online. ( they also have a instagram by the name @press_house_palestine ) This link provides articles about ongoing events within the country

2. Doctors Without Borders

i’m sure that there a high chance that you have heard about this one before, but ill mention it anyways since its a good charity. Doctors Without Borders is a organisation dedicated to supplying medical aid to places without proper access to it. what i have linked below is a donation link for their specific Gaza cause, which both implores for a ceasefire and provides Palestinians with medical equipment. you have the option to donate monthly or just one time

3. Islamic Relief Australia

this organisation is one that is located within Australia, but strives to provide food and water to the people. So far they have already given 16000+ people water and over 1 million ready-to-eat meals. They also have other donation links within the site that incudes to help rebuild infrastructure within Gaza and to help rehome palestinians to Australia. NOTE: There are other varients of this organisation within other countries such as the UK

4. Olive Kids

Olive kids is a foundation focused on supporting the children of Gaza. this includes education, medicine and food. This is another Australian-based foundation but that is because i live in australia. if you want to find region specific causes for your location then please google it yourself. Australian causes can be donated to by anyone anyways so you might aswell use this info anyways

5. Action Aid UK

this foundation focuses on providing Palestinians with the services that they do not have anymore, such as power and electricity. They do 90% immediately going towards the people of Gaza and 10% for future emergencies

I also want to stress two things. 1, if you arent in the right financial position to donate then dont, spreading the word does help aswell and 2, im not the excuse for you not to research yourself. all of these groups i found by myself via google, and as long as you have some media literacy, you too can find information. and you should find more than 5 and spread it around, i just wanted to highlight 1 from 5 different sections since i hadnt even heard about most of these until now.

Evacuation of my Neurological Patient Brother 🥹🙏

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I’m reaching out to you today, on behalf of my husband, with an urgent request for assistance. My family is currently facing an unimaginable situation as I desperately seek to evacuate them from the ongoing crisis in Gaza including my brother-in-law, who is a neurological patient, and my mother-in-law who is 70 years old, and she is not only grapples with the challenges of aging but also shoulders the burden of chronic illnesses, including high blood pressure and diabetes. My brother-in-law's condition requires specialized medical care, as he suffers from a benign tumor in the cerebellum. He underwent two major surgeries to remove the tumor, and an internal valve was installed to drain the cerebrospinal fluid.

This operation led to a permanent disability in movement and stiffness in the muscles of the legs, especially the left side. He needs constant follow-up and permanent rehabilitation treatment, as he was receiving two physical therapy sessions weekly to relieve muscle stiffness, but since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip (more than 4 months ago), he has not received this service, and in the same context, he needs daily medication which is simply not available now in Gaza, as the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip has been severely impacted by the ongoing conflict, with limited resources and a shortage of medical supplies. It is crucial that we act quickly to evacuate him to a safer location where he can receive the necessary medical attention and support, in addition to the evacuation of 6 other members of my family.

As many of you may be aware, Gaza has been experiencing a devastating humanitarian crisis for years. The recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has worsened the situation, leaving innocent civilians trapped and in desperate need of help. Knowing that we live in Gaza City, but the Israeli occupation army forced us to evacuate our homes and move to the center or south of the Gaza Strip. We left our home on 13th Oct. 2023 and moved to the center of the Gaza Strip, which was supposed to be a safe area, but then the Israeli soldiers began military operations in the central region. Therefore, we were forced to move to Rafah, living in a house including 20 members. Currently the Israeli Occupation Forces are threatening to invade Rafah, where 1.4 million people are taking refuge in an area of 55 km2. If Rafah is invaded, more massacres will be committed in addition to the massacres that were and are currently being committed in all areas of the Gaza Strip. Note that our house was directly hit by a missile, and currently the Israeli army does not allow us to return to Gaza city and to our homes, in addition to the fact that Gaza currently does not have the minimum necessities of life, such as electricity or clean water, in addition to the scarcity of resources. So, in an attempt to save our lives, we are planning to evacuate to Egypt, but the cost of evacuation is exorbitant, far beyond what our family can afford, therefore I'm setting up a GoFundMe campaign to raise USD $59,000. Here is the breakdown of the funds: • A total of USD $49,000 is estimated to cover the expenses associated with obtaining permits to leave Gaza, as well as crossing fees at Rafah, at the Egypt-Gaza border. This amount breaks down to USD$ 5,000 - $7,000 per person (7 people). • It is estimated that USD $10000 will be sufficient to cover the basic needs of my family in Egypt, including their accommodation, food, and other essential. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. Even the smallest contribution can help us an inch closer to our goal of saving our life. Knowing that times are tough, and the invasion of Rafah could happen at any time, noting that the crossing with Egypt is in the city of Rafah, and it is possible that the crossing will be closed at any time due to the invasion, so I hope you help as soon as possible. We are a large family consisting of 11 siblings, along with our parents Ahmed and Saada. We lived in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, and had a decent and happy life. Each of us has our own family living in Rafah, Khan Younis, and Gaza. Our lives were stable until the war came at the end of 2023, turning everything upside down

On 13/02/2024, we lost our dear father due to shelling, and my mother could not bear the shock, passing away a few weeks later on 02/03/2024. The tragedy did not stop there; we also lost my sister Huda’s husband, Abdulrahim, due to random shelling. In total, we have lost nearly 50 family members and relatives

Our homes were destroyed completely or partially, and our lives turned into homelessness. We live in tents and overcrowded shelters that are unfit for human life. My family members moved between Khan Younis and Rafah seeking safety, suffering from food shortages, disease outbreaks, and lack of medical care. Children’s lives became at risk, losing their right to education and suffering from lack of care and affection

These are Omar(2) and Salah(5), Bilal's nephews. 8 months ago, they were enjoying the warmth of their home and being pampered by their parents and everyone in the family. The pictures below are from Omar's first birthday. Bilal told me how he was the one who prepared everything for the surprise party. He was,then, so excited to gather the whole family and give Omar a memorable first birthday and bring joy to everybody.

Now, Omar and Salah are going through hardships no child should be experiencing. They are surrounded by rubble and unsanitary conditions wherever they go; not to mention the random bombings that threaten their lives every moment of every day. Omar took his first steps while being displaced in a tent in Rafah. Imagine your baby learning to walk in a refugee camp under the constant buzzing of drones! The children and the whole family had to endure the cold winter and being drenched by rain in their flimsy tent, and now they have to go through the unbearable heat in the same inhumane circumstances. As if all this suffering wasn't enough, the occupation is currently asking everyone in Rafah to evacuate again, even the hospitals!

The survival of Omar, Salah, and the whole family in now more than ever at stake. Bilal has been in Germany for a year or so now. The thought that he might never get to see his beloved nephews again haunts him every day. He humbly asks for your support to help him keep his loved ones safe until he has the chance to reunite with them, hopefully as soon as possible.
