Ares complimented it so then immediately Hermes found me a "War Collection" box for my Ares altar ☺️

Miracubots AU

Sooooo, me and a friend reconnected after a few years of silence (Thanks depression) and discovered not only do we still share similar old fandom brainrot, but we share NEW fandom brain rot and have very similar opinions about the Miraculous series, which lead into the brainrots fusing and with their permission. I present. THE MIRACUBOTS AU

AKA What if we took the cool and interesting magic system and initial set up of Miraculous....AKA the only good bits, and put it in a show with great writing and characters who we love and who deserve to go feral on a villain every now and again?

The AU takes place instead of the canon season four, Cody is aged up a little to 14/15, Doctor Morroco never lost his Verns device to Madeline Pynch so he's still around to be a menace, and the Prime bots...We haven't fully established if Prime is still happening, or if it's after RiD but the Autobots are still around and mentioned occasionally. And since it's a different version of season 4, the bots are still undercover to the town, only the family knowing they are sentient.

Madeline takes stage as the main villain of the series having acquired the Butterfly Miraculous and after discovering Nooroo and it's power, forcing the Kwami to tell her all about the other Miraculous, including the fact that using two of them, the Ladybug and Black Cat together gives one the power to alter reality.

Seeing an easy way to get her goal of being the riches and most powerful person on the planet, she forces Nooroo to tell her where the Miracle box is, but the poor Kwami can only confirm he senses it on Griffin Rock. With her goal in mind Pynch uses the Butterfly to become Swallowtail creating her first Akuma to draw out the guardian and hopefully the Miraculous she seeks.

Master Fu once he realizes what is happening, charges Tikki and Plagg to find two children they resinate strongly with to become the new holders of their Miraculous, reasoning that Children will be easy to teach and control, and he'd be better able to take the Miraculous back from children if the pair chose poorly.

To no one in this fandom's surprise, Cody Burns is who's picked by Tikki to be her holder. He does try to convince her to go to his dad or siblings so they can protect her after she tells him she's what the Akuma is after. But Tikki insists that she picked the right person to be her holder able to sence Cody having a loving heart full of courage.

Cody becomes the new Ladybug Hero Beetletron! looking very much like a miniature version of one of the Rescuebots, though one with a beetle Altmord, when he asks about it Tikki explains that it's because well, the Rescuebots have more or lest become his mental image of what a hero should *be* and thus the Miraculous copied their form. The name comes from Cody trying to think of a Cybertronian sounding name and vaguely remembering hearing the bots talk about some important mech from Cybertron....something-tron? Well it sounds robotic and he's a beetle so, Beetletron!

Fighting against the Akuma he's joined by another hero, a girl in a cyber punk looking get up, dark leathers and neon greens with a head covering mask, she even has a USB cable acting as a tail that she can use with her tech knowhow to hack! The new Black Cat introduces herself as Felidae Fatale, named for the scientific cat family Felidae, and well, she might not be the classic version of a Femme Fatale, she'll prove she can be just as badass as they can be.

Working together feeling like they've known each other for years though they just met, they beat the Akuma, and when Swallowtail makes her threat to claim their Miraculous's they confidently announce they'll make sure a villain like her, never wins.

In the aftermath the pair meet up and agree, keeping a secret identity from the other would be pretty silly considering the life and death danger their in, so. Reveal themselves.

And Cody laughs crying as he hugs his best friend Frankie, as there really could be no other person it would be.

After her Summerslam match, and the betrayal, Rhea heads back to her car.

The event hadn’t even finished, she could hear the thunderous sound of the stadium as she walked towards her truck. But Rhea didn’t care, she didn’t care about Drew Mcintyre beating CM Punks ass, hell right now she didn’t even care much about Damian’s World Heavyweight Championship match. Win or lose, The Judgment Day would never be the same again. The kiss of death had seen to that. The godforsaken kiss that no matter how hard she tried, Rhea couldn’t stop seeing over and over again. She’d been so convinced, when that damned chair had hit the mat, that it was a mistake. That he’d been trying to help her, that it was just another case of Dominik fumbling from the sidelines, but trying his best. Then she’d seen the smirk on his face, watched him pick her up from the ground as he’d done her so many times, after a hard fought battle in the ring. Her blood had run ice cold.

When she’d returned from injury with her sights set on Liv Morgan, incensed that she had laid hands on what Rhea felt she had made very clear was hers, Dominik had spent hours convincing her that there was nothing to worry about, that the obsession was purely one sided. She’d stood beside him while he’d declared his hatred for her. She’d believed every publicly spoken word, every whispered promise late at night. Everything felt like it was going to be okay, she was back, Damian was champion, Finn and JD the tag champs. It was the strongest The Judgment Day had been in what felt like a long time. They were going into Summerslam on the same page. Dominik had been laying from a different rule book though, for a long time

How long had he lied to her? How long had the two of them planned this? Exactly long had he played the doting, adoring boyfriend while all along they planned her downfall? Since before the injury, had he planned that too? Was he secretly thrilled she’d gotten hurt? He’d waved her off the day she’d relinquished her championship, told her that he loved her as she left. Was any of it true? Rhea went back to every moment since then, every phone call, every facetime from the road. Tried to pinpoint the change, but damn.. He was a good liar. Did Rhea teach him to lie that well, imprint that evil streak in him? Had she set up her own downfall?

Rhea reached her truck and climbed into the drivers seat, throwing her luggage onto the seats behind without any care. This wasn’t how tonight was supposed to go. Sure, she wasn’t sure she would have won her title, maybe Liv would have taken some cowardly way out to retain. It wouldn’t have mattered because Rhea would have gotten her hits, would have been satisfied that she’d taught the blonde a lesson once and for all. Her and Dom would’ve left together, hand in hand, would have picked up food to eat back at the hotel, arguing over who gets to play their music on the way. Now the seat beside hers was empty, absent of the sound of Dom’s teasing. His cup from earlier in the day was still sitting in the cup holder, the dregs of coffee long since gone cold. The charging cable still plugged into the dash. Little, insignificant pieces of him that she’d continue to find throughout her life, scattered around her home, like a thousand little razor blades cutting into her.

Why couldn’t he have just left her? A call from him while she was off the road rehabbing to make it easy, some crap excuse about time spent apart, even the truth about his feelings for Liv. Anything. Why this facade of love, why this public humiliation? Had he been miserable the whole time? Two years, planning how he’d take her down, finding the perfect companion in Liv to help him carry it out? This hadn’t just been about ending things, he’d wanted to break her. He’d taken pleasure in it, How could that be right? How could the same man who’d treated Rhea gently, lifted her up so high, treasured her like a prized possession, discard her in such a manner. It was like he was a stranger to her.

She gripped the steering wheel, fingers turning white from the pressure, the leather of the wheel squeaking against her rings. The sounds of the stadium were muffled inside the leather of her truck, but she could make the telltale music of Gunther, and Samantha’s voice declaring him the champion. Damian had lost his title, and Rhea wasn’t there, wouldn’t be in gorilla to greet him as he had so often done for her. She just couldn’t face it, the sideways glances from their coworkers, the whispered hushes of how she probably deserved this after everything she had done.

Maybe they were right, maybe this had been a long time coming? Maybe even before Liv had started playing him like her favourite game, Dom had always planned to one day hurt her the way she had hurt him. Because it was true, their relationship had begun with abuse, hurting him to try and get his attention like a playground shoving contest. Pushung him to the edge to try and unlock that potential that Rhea knew was hidden in there somewhere. She’d dragged him kicking and screaming from beneath the shadow of his legendary father. If he was the monster, she was the one who created him, and he’d turned and sunk his claws into her.

That’s what it felt like, claws dug deep into her skin, beneath her ribs, squeezing the breath out of her. She pressed her forehead against the steering wheel, letting the tears roll down her cheeks and further displace the already smudged makeup. Dom had told before the match that she looked beautiful, kissed her sweetly on her perfectly painted lips, knowing on that entire walk to the gorilla position that he would be the cause of her ruined makeup. She briefly wondered if he was nervous, if he had any second thoughts, if he even for a second looked at her and thought he was making the wrong choice.

The phone Rhea had thrown into the passenger seat as she had climbed into the car lit up with a text notification, probably Priest, back in their clubhouse, wondering where the hell she had disappeared to. As much as she wanted to ignore him, to ignore everyone outside of this truck, she wasn’t going to do that to him, not when he too had lost something. Rhea sat herself up and took a deep breath, scrubbing her face of the tears and picking the phone up. She was right, it was a text from Priest, but it wasn’t a ‘where you at’ text, or not even a ‘don’t worry kiddo, we’ll get him.’ promise from her best friend. Eight simple words that knocked the last of her breath out of her, whilst also at the same time made the most sense of anything that had happened tonight.

‘balor screwed me. it’s just us two now.’

Finn had been jealous, he’d been desperate to be in charge for a long time now, to prove he wasn’t below Damian, it was obvious. She’d seen the look thrown Priests way whenever he'd turned his back on Finn. The sneers that he’d thought Rhea hadn’t seen. In the quiet moments between the two best friends, she had tried to warn Damian, but his response had always been the same. ‘He's family, I trust him. You gotta trust him too’. The same way Rhea had trusted Dominik, believed his desperate promises. Where had that trust gotten either of them? Both betrayed by the people they loved the most. A different kind of love between Damian and Finn, sure, more familial and less romantic, but a love nonetheless.

On Monday an angry Rhea would step out into the world with Damian. A bloodthirsty Rhea, ready to paint the walls red, to wreak havoc on the ones who betrayed them. The weakness she’d shown in the ring after the bell would be the last time she ever showed weakness in front of Dominik and Liv Morgan. Saturday night Rhea would cry herself to sleep in an empty bed, devoid of warmth, in a hotel room devoid of ridiculous cow print boots by the door and ridiculous moustache care products on the vanity. She would get her revenge, that was without a doubt, and once that was doled out, Rhea would move on. In time she’d forget the smell of his cologne, the way his fingers would trace the pattern of her tattoos in the morning, the smile on his face when she’d press a kiss to his cheek and leave a lipstick mark on his skin. They would become distant memories, just another era of her career. But she’d never forgive him, not in five years time when they’d have some ill fated reunion, not in twenty years time when maybe they’d find themselves in a hall of fame. She’d forget, but she would never forgive.

Hey. I just bought a new tablet and am thinkin' about selling my old one for 25 bucks if anyone is interested. It's a Huion H610Pro V2. Everything works and nothing's wrong with it. No scratches or anything like that. I just got a new cable for it, no problems there. Pen is battery-less and doesn't need to be charged. I gotta dig up the pen holder but it's got lots of nibs in it. Haven't needed to replace even the first one and it's been 3 years. The software is child's play and the drivers don't break.

5 Weeks till Chicken Run 2!!

When two people are in a relationship (platonic or romantic), sometimes one of them never really knows how much the other truly cares about them unless they do something that shows it. Sometimes they can do an act that touches their heart and tugs at their strings. Other times, they can do a daring deed that may put their life in danger but in the end all is well. That's why for this week's post, we are going to review one of the most action-packed scenes from the movie - the pie machine rescue. When Ginger is taken for a test run for the Tweedys' new pie machine, Rocky is given the task to rescue her. Will he succeed or will he and Ginger be turned into chicken pies?

Let's pick up from when Mr. Tweedy snatches Ginger to test run the new machine he just put together for his wife. The other chickens see that their trusted leader is being taken to the barn and while the hens all start to panic, Fowler tries to take charge of this situation. Unfortunately, his commands are fallen onto deaf ears. That's when Rocky comes out of the hut and asks about the situation. Babs tells him that the farmers got Ginger and they're taking her to the chop. If only she knew where Ginger is really being taken to - and that it's much worse than the chop. Rocky is standing there all frozen, horrified to learn that the hen he's starting to care about is now meeting her doom.

Fowler insists that Rocky flies over to the barn and save Ginger. The younger rooster thinks fast and says that him flying into the barn is just what the Tweedys would expect and instead they give the enemy the old element of surprise, and the older rooster buys into it, still talking about the Germans as if WW2 had never ended. Fowler asks what his plan is and Rocky simply improvises by using a small coat hanger from Babs's knitting bag and having Bunty lift him up a telephone pole with an electrical cable that runs into the upper loft window of the barn. He hooks the coat hanger onto the wire and slides down toward the open barn window, screaming all the way down. He might have been hoping he looked heroic, but actually he looked completely terrified.

Landing in the hay loft, Rocky gets a closer look at what is making the engine sounds. At first he is surprised by the size of the pie machine in the barn but then his amazed surprise turns to shocked surprise to see Mr. Tweedy clamp Ginger's feet into ankle holders on an overhead conveyor belt. The farmer pushes a couple of levers and the belt starts moving Ginger toward the big opening in the machine. The Tweedys now move around to the side of the machine where the pies would come out so they're completely unaware of what happens now.

Ginger struggles ineffectually against her ankle clamps. Up ahead, she could see that the clamps released over a large chute that led to who-knows-where. This was a situation she couldn't think her way out of, or even will her way out of. For the first time, maybe in her whole life, she was totally helpless. But never fear because Rocky pops up behind her. Ginger had never dreamed she would be so happy to see him in her life. The rooster at first tries to run on the slick surface of the conveyor belt but his feet are churning madly. More than anything he'd ever done, he wanted to get to Ginger and save her. Beneath her tough exterior, Rocky had a feeling she liked him. He fights the conveyor belt and gets his legs to work, running towards the hen. He makes a leap for her, but was about a few seconds late. The ankle clamps releases Ginger and she falls down the chute. She was gone from his grasp. Our dashing rooster makes an inadvertent pun as he looks down at her from the top of the chute.

As Rocky looked down to where Ginger had fallen and hears her helplessly screaming his name, he was unaware that he was standing on a lever. Since he didn't know he was standing on it, he also didn't know that it was moving downward under his weight. When it reached its lowest point, it turned on an indicator light that was labeled Veg Feed. A trough of mixed vegetables poured down on Rocky's head, sending him hurtling down the chute too. As he slides down the chute, ahead he sees a sign that said Veg where the mixed vegetables go but just before he arrived, it flipped over and now it says Meat. Still zooming downward, Rocky was diverted down another chute that sent him toward a set of rotating saw blades. At the last second he notices a pole he could reach and grabs onto it. He dangles over the blades for a few seconds, then the pole dips down a tad and he slides down, plummeting down a dark shaft. Down below, he could see that in the depths of the machine was a labyrinth of conveyor belts going in all directions with huge, noisy stampers, rollers and pushers going the whole time.

Rocky lands in a big clump of dough that was chugging along on a conveyor belt. And to his surprise and relief, there was Ginger chugging along as well with her feet stuck in dough too. Rocky and Ginger may be together again but right now having their feet stuck in dough is the least of their worries. They hear another menacing roar and look behind them to see a giant roller, rounding around the corner and coming down the conveyor belt toward them. It was clear to see that as it rumbles toward them, it flattens all the clumps of dough. In a second, it would flatten them too! They struggle mightily to get out of their dough balls but are far too mucked up in it so Rocky hops over to Ginger with the dough attached to his feet. He sees a chain swinging over the conveyor belt; he grabs Ginger's hand and grabs hold of the chain, pulling them both out of their dough balls and out of the way of the dough-roller.

When they reach an opening above the roller, a large pole knocks them off the chain and they plop down face-first onto a flattened blob of dough. They quickly recover from their fall when Ginger notices a giant pie crust cutter coming toward them. Rocky and Ginger quickly get out of the way in time as the cutter comes down around them, holding onto each other in the process. They notice this little detail as they look at each other when the cutter goes back up. But then they are then swept up in a pie tin that is then moved onto yet another conveyor belt. Both are scared but at least they're going through it together. Rocky places his arm on Ginger's arm to comfort her through their scary ordeal.

Up head they see a giant gravy dispenser, squirting scolding hot gravy into the tins in front of them. Then diced mixed vegetables come raining down on them. Rocky and Ginger are now stuck in a chicken pie tin being covered in diced up carrots, potatoes, peas and celery and about to be smothered in gravy. Rocky digs through the vegetables to find something to help them as Ginger keeps looking at the dispenser in fear. Soon the clever rooster grabs a whole carrot and, wielding it like an orange lance, shoves it right smack into the hot snout of the gravy blaster. The carrot plug holds; Rocky and Ginger high-five each other on their narrow escape from this ordeal. But just then, a presser comes down on them, covering them up with a layer of pastry.

A pusher then slides the Rocky-and-Ginger pie into a large room filled with other pies. This particular pie has two bulges moving around in it until the rooster and hen pop out of it, breathing some fresh air and a sigh of relief, but also feeling a little bit of heat. Rocky comments that it feels like an oven in the room they were in, but Ginger notices something he doesn't at the time. She taps his arm to alert him and that's when he finally takes notice. The room feels like an oven because it IS an oven. Rocky and Ginger watch terrified as blue lights begin to light all around them, shooting out of the floor. Then they see a large, heavy door at the front of the room start to close. With no time to lose, Ginger races toward the door with Rocky right behind her.

Rocky is following Ginger towards the door until he falls into a pie. He tries to keep up with her, he really was, but just keeps on falling into more pies and getting covered with more gravy. All the while, Ginger is still running towards the door not realizing that Rocky's ordeal. She slides through the space beneath the lowering door and looks back to see her friend falling into nearly every pie in the oven. First Rocky has rescued Ginger a few times in the machine. Now she has to rescue him. Talk about teamwork. Ginger grabs a wrench and sticks it in the door to hold it open, then races back inside, pulls Rocky out of the pie he was mucked up in and rushes him toward the door. And she knows she has to do it quickly too because the door was now bending the wrench. Soon the wrench shoots out and lands into nearby gear works, and the door starts to close again. Rocky and Ginger then slide through just in the nick of time; Ginger did have to save her beloved beanie hat before the door closed though.

Ginger places her hat back on her head and Rocky uses a rag to wipe the gravy off his face so he could see again. At least they're finally out of danger. However, Ginger then feels a drop of gravy fall on her head and one on her hand. She and Rocky look up to see the gravy dispenser still with the carrot stuck in the spout, shaking vigorously and dripping gravy. The chickens looked around the machine as it started to ground and groan. Rocky yells to Ginger that the machine is going to blow and that it's time to run. As they start to make their getaway, one of the gear works shoots out a screw and falls down on the gravy dispenser. The dispenser spits out the carrot which shoots past the fleeing Rocky and Ginger and knocks out six enormous cogs from their spot.

The terrified chickens make it to another chute just before the cogs could either come crashing down on them or block their escape. The cogs begin the clatter down the chute after Rocky and Ginger who were now running for their lives as fast as their feet could carry them. Kind of reminds you of the boulder scene from Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark, doesn't it? All around them sharp gears are shooting out and getting stuck into the walls. Up ahead they see an opening that leads to a chasm of bigger gears. Rocky uses one of his hands to grab Ginger's hand and they make a leap the rooster grabs hold with his other hand. Screaming their heads off, the chickens swing over the chasm and towards a vent where they are then flown up and out of the machine. They then land on top of a pie box rolling down a line which comes to an abrupt halt.

Rocky and Ginger can finally relax now that their scary ordeal is finally over; they were finally out of the horrible machinery. They breath a sigh of relief with Ginger lying on top of Rocky. At once, Ginger looks up and screams again, moving out of the way just as a giant press comes down from overhead and stamps a label onto Rocky's chest. The hen's face of terror gets even worse when she reads the label on the rooster's chest; she peels it off and he yells out in pain. Ouch, that's got to hurt! Ginger tells Rocky they've got to warn the other chickens of this horrible realization and they run out of the barn, completely unnoticed by the Tweedys who are far too preoccupied with their pie machine going on their fritz.

We're going to stop right there because what comes after this daring rescue is important for next week's post. Anyway last week's post has shown that Rocky and Ginger are starting to like each other. Some might even say there's a hint of attraction between them. However you never really know how much someone cares about you unless they do something to show it like doing a kind and heartfelt act or even a brave and daring deed. In this case, Rocky went in to rescue Ginger from the pie machine even though he was in danger himself. He may have been scared but he swallowed his fear to rescue his damsel in distress. After their dance and her apology, Rocky was starting to truly care about Ginger. The rooster even had a feeling that the hen was starting to care about him after seeing him cheer up her friends and their dance together as well. In this case, it's true; Ginger does care about Rocky because when he needed rescuing himself, she came to his aid. This whole action-packed scene showed just how much they do care about each other. When one needed saving, the other is there to lend a helping hand even if it meant putting themselves in danger in the process.

Anyway this is my eighth weekly Rocky/Ginger moment post commemorating the upcoming sequel to Chicken Run. I hope you enjoyed this post. There will be 4 other posts about the first film coming up in the future as well as one monthly post about the sequel. Waiting for this long-awaited sequel may not be easy but these posts are making it easier as the release date draws nearer.

more audio shenanigans

so, i got this old mic. it's my second from the sennheiser MKH series of RF mics (they use radio circuitry to cut down noise and withstand moisture in the air, instead of just being normal audio circuits). in both cases, they use T-power or AB power (same thing), which is totally different from and dangerously incompatible with phantom power, which most modern equipment uses. these mics are older than me, i could afford them because they're so old and so unsupported but they sound fucking good. mostly people get the newer versions, they work phantom powered and sound mostly identical. not me!

my bigger field mixer and recording rig both have switches for T power (the switch in my FP33 is what got me looking for these mics) so mostly it's not a problem.

except my smaller recorder (this old MR-1 in the pictures) and my very tiny FP24 very much do not have T power.

so, i found the manuals for these old mics of mine online and in both there's a little circuit diagram for powering them with a 12v supply and that's what i did here in a cable: attached a couple 180-ohm resistors to the ends of the leads of this A23 battery holder (this would also work with smaller A27 batteries) and stuck them to pins 2 and 3 of an XLR connector, finished up this cable, stuck it inline.

turning everything on, i listened to the resistors charge up and come online, and the sound over the mic was,

i forgot to turn down the gain in the recorder!

i went into the menu of the MR-1 and set gain to -26dB, and the sound over the mic was just silky.

this whole rig fits in my purse, without emptying it.

i ordered a few more resistors to go with some capacitors i have to make a low cut filter inline, and then i'll have all the channel strip i want for this rig.

my FP24 does not work with this setup (i'd tried to use it for its LCF during this whole process) so i'm guessing i'll need to make an adapter to go from phantom power to T power so that it can hopefully more easily pretend this mic is no different from the other mics, but that's not urgent or anything i'm super curious about just yet. soon enough.

including screenshots here of the manuals for the MKH 406T and the MKH 815T showing identical schematics for providing power to a T powered mic. looking at the simplicity of it, i don't know why phantom power became the standard.

I wrote up a User Guide for my Prototype Pokédex. I think I made it a little long, but hopefully nothing is confusing.

Hello! And welcome to your new Pokédex!

This manual is for the Rotom version of Prototype Pokédex engineered by Alice.

1. Getting Started

Included in the Rotom version is:

1x USB A to USB C cable

1x AC charger

1x International Outlet Adapter

1x Rotom Adaptable mini-Camera Drone

1x Prototype Pokédex

1× Hard plastic cover case

1x Faux Leather Carry bag

2. Know Your Pokédex

This Prototype is modeled after the original Kanto Pokédex, the same model that legendary trainer Red used during their peak! As such, it is a notebook-style Personal Digital Assistant, but with an added slide out keyboard and stylus. However, instead of red, it's a stylish black.

It features a 8 inch touchscreen OLED screen with included glass screen protector.

The Prototype has two outward switches and one volume wheel.

The power switch is located at the right edge, with power on marked with ○ and power off marked with — . The second is at the top edge. This sliding switch has three modes, marked as (T), (R), and (E). These stand for Trainer, Researcher, and Emergency. The volume wheel controls the volume for the included speakers, but not for the emergency speakers.

At the bottom edge is a USB C port at the center. The left of that port is the stylus holder and the right is the AC charging port.

3. First Start Up

When being powered on for the first time, you will be greeted with a selection of themes ranging from Nostalgic 8-bit to Caterpie Green to Cherrum Pink or even Koffing Purple. The theme, along with other personalizations, can be changed later in the Personalization tab within the Settings.

After selecting a theme, you will be prompted to select a system language. After selecting a language, you will be asked to enter a first name, any chosen pronouns or titles and an emergency contact. The Prototype Pokédex can contact the inputed number along with emergency services in the case of an emergency with a pre-written or personalized message from the user. (Note: The entering of an emergency contact is not necessary for the function of the Pokédex but emergency calls will instead only be directed to emergency services. The given name and pronouns will be used when attributing data gathered by you in published research.)

After inputting a name and contact, you will be asked if you would like to list any Pokémon companions manually or have them added automatically when syncing at Pokémon Center PC. This is only for your current companions. This would conclude the start up and the Prototype will enter the default Trainer mode.

4. Operating Modes

The sliding switch at the top of the Prototype switches the Pokédex from 3 separate modes. The default setting upon first start up is Trainer mode. After entering personalizations, you will be at the home screen. The home screen defaults to the list of indexed Pokémon. This can be changed within the Settings.

A. Trainer Mode

Within Trainer mode, you can access virtually the same type of information as you could on a standard Pokédex. This includes:

- List and number of Pokémon caught

- List and number of Pokémon seen

- Summary information of current battle party

- Quick Access to PC boxes

- Fun facts about Indexed Pokémon

- EV/ IV projections

- Pokémon Habitats

- And much more!

An added bonus to our pool of information from multiple regions allows you to compare data on a particular Pokémon from the perspective of different regions. You, too, can add to this research by contributing your own findings!

When viewing a Pokémon's information page, you will see a ➕️ at the bottom of the screen. Selecting this will allow you to add an entry yourself. First, you will be asked if the provided information will be about an observed wild Pokémon, a befriended wild Pokémon, a Pokémon in someone else's care, or a Pokémon in your own care. You may want to use the stylus or the slide out keyboard to write your findings. You may also use the onscreen keyboard.

Do not be afraid to note down anything of interest. Even something as simple as favorite foods can make a big impact on our research.

Once you have written your entry, you will be asked if you would like to provide any audio, video, or images as supplemental evidence. You may use the USB C port to add files from external devices or use any files recorded using the onboard microphone or the Rotom Adaptable mini-Drone's camera and microphone. When an entry is submitted, you can tag it to a specific name. This is useful should you be observing the same Pokémon for a long period of time or if writing about your or a friend's Pokémon.

B. Researcher Mode

When switching to Researcher mode from within the home screen, you will be taken to a list of Researcher functions. These are:

- Up to date, full research notes for each Indexed Pokémon

- Pokémon Cry Recognition and Imitation

- List of Common Egg patterns per species

- Curated Care instructions per species

- Up to date Pokémon Habitat breakdowns

An additional feature of Researcher Mode is found in Trainer mode. When viewing a Pokémon's fun fact, you can switch to Researcher mode and read an expanded version. For example:

Hatterene, the Silent Pokémon

If you're too loud around it, you risk being torn apart by the claw on its tentacle. This Pokémon is also known as the Forest Witch.

If you're too loud around it, you risk being torn apart by the claw on its tentacle. This is a common hunting behavior of wild Hatterene within the Lake of Outrage. While omnivorous, they tend to avoid prey they hunted themselves and instead focus on the stores of food of their prey. It is currently theorized that this hunting pattern developed as a result of wild Hatterenes searching for fights between other Pokémon and stalking the losing Pokémon back to a store of food, wherein the Hatterene pounces and makes off with its prey's food.

This Pokémon is also known as the Forest Witch. This epithet is attributed to an old folk tale that is lost to time. One hypothesis suggests that Hatterene also inhabited the Glimwood Tangle and other parts of the Wild Area before human settlements became large enough to clear out its home forests. The epithet is still widely used as even to this day, newly evolved Hatterene can sometimes be seen migrating out of forests that are home Hatennas and Hattrems on foggy nights.

Researcher mode is also the mode necessary for proper syncing at a PC.

C. Emergency Mode

Emergency Mode is a mode that restricts the functions of the Prototype to only the following:

- Calling Emergency contact and Services

- Pokémon Cry Recognition and Imitation

- Trainer Survival Guide

Activating Emergency Mode also activates the Prototype's Battery Saver, which can sustain minimal use for about 5 days from a full charge.

Using Emergency mode to call for help also sends a message to the emergency contact if one was provided.

During emergency use of the Pokémon Cry Recognition and Imitation software, the emergency speakers are used instead. These speakers are louder and are capable of producing sounds only Pokémon can hear to scare away potential threats. If during normal operation, the software detects a hostile or angry cry from a Pokémon who's hostility could prove dangerous to you, the Prototype may prompt you to switch to Emergency mode. Emergency mode also allows you to imitate the cries of known predators or competitor Pokémon of any Pokémon recognized as a threat.

The included survival guide has basic first aid information, a list of edible berries and herbs, explanations of common hazards, camping instructions for various terrains and climates, and navigation techniques.

The Emergency uses of the Prototype are not a replacement for proper preparedness and research. Please be sure to pack any and all necessary items for any hikes or outdoor travel, and to notify others where you're headed and how long you expect to it to take.

5. Syncing to Alice's PC

In order to receive up to date research and to upload any new data, you can use any Pokémon Center PC to sync. Simply set the Prototype to Researcher mode and plug in the USB A to USB C from the PC to the Prototype. You will be prompted to enter Sync mode. Depending on update sizes, this may take a few seconds to a few minutes.

On most PCs, the USB ports will be on a side panel either on the right side of the monitor box or on the right edge of the keyboard.

Once the sync is complete, the Prototype will prompt you to remove the cable when it is safe to do so.
