Hey, good to hear from you and thanks for your super kind note!! I'm doing a little better each day and am excited to get back to regular routines! While I was on hold over the phone about paperwork today, I managed to exercise my brain with the prompt you gave me! <3

Staff vs. Sword

Emperor Lotor leans against a wall, crossing his arms and quirking a slim, white eyebrow at the princess before him. “Surely, you jest with me,” he murmurs. “A staff again?”

Princess Allura beams, and she grabs her favorite staff from the blunted practice weapons with a solid grip, fingers tight. With a quick flick of her wrist, she spins it and sets the end solidly on the ground. “My bayard for Blue Lion also turns into a whip,” she says nonchalantly, “but that seems entirely unfair to use against you, as it produces an electric shock.”

“Ah, yes.” His eyes crinkle, his slit pupils dilating with softness. He adds dryly, “Because we do not already create enough sparks on the courts.”

She brushes back her long, thick braid and waggles her eyebrows. “You said it, not me.” And then she pokes his chest plate with the end of her staff. “Do tell me you’re not afraid of a second round after I defeated you.”

“And nearly caused an intergalactic incident,” he says, voice halted. “The training grounds are intended for practicing the art of combat—not the art of catching one’s opponent off-guard with a kiss.”  

With a giggle, Allura pulls the staff back, her Altean markings glowing a bright pink. “Yes, well, we Alteans have a saying that all’s fair in love and war. Now, pick your weapon, dear emperor, so that I may defeat you once more. And do choose something other than a sword this time—at least mix it up for me?”

Lotor eyes her before grabbing a blunted sword from the wall, inspecting its balance. His long fingers grip the hilt tightly. “A sword is the best extension of a warrior’s will,” he declares, raising his chin with a petulant chin. “It is simple. It is efficient. It is my favorite weapon.”

Allura sighs dramatically at him. “It does not have quite the—” she waves her hand—“the impact of a staff, though.”

He raises the silver sword to her. “The staff is an impact weapon,” he says dryly. “You simply seek to showcase your Altean strength to the Galra who prowl these courts, and that is why you prefer it as of late."

“Tish tosh,” she says, planting her feet properly on the training mat and eyeing him with an increased wariness. She knows Lotor likes to strike unexpectedly. “I also happen to like the way training robots crumple to bits beneath a staff. It relieves the stress I feel after a large conference with intergalactic leaders.”

A tick of silence stretches between them.

And then in a blur, Lotor races toward her, slashing down.

She blocks with the staff and swings, and he ducks smoothly before stepping back, flipping the sword in his hand.

He paces the mat, the overhead lights capturing the glow of his eyes like a predator in the dark wilderness. “Poor Princess Allura,” he teases. “All the power in the universe, and yet you fear the peace we have wrought together, instead longing for means of violence. Are you certain you are not of Galran blood somewhere in that long ancestry of yours?”

Alura’s voice strains as she circles him as well, resetting her staff. “I can’t think of a single species that doesn’t enjoy a rough tumble now and again, in a safe, non-war environment. Why, the humans even have something called, um—” Her concentration breaks as she pauses, snapping her fingers. “Um, wrestling. And something called rugby. And then they have a very large, worldwide competition for their various violent sports, called the Olympics.”

Lotor pauses.

His slit pupils widen in curiosity of other cultures. “Olympics? Is that similar to a Kral Zera?”

“Somewhat,” she nods, “but instead of choosing a world leader by, um, killing everyone, these tournaments are for medals that they wear around their necks and then bite in front of cameras. And no one dies generally.”

He lunges again, and in a blur, wrenches the staff away from her hands and presses her up against a wall.

Allura squeaks, eyes wide.

His nose is inches from her own, his breath a hot puff against her face. “How very curious.”  

Her breath stalls as her cheeks heat hard enough to radiate to him. “Um, y-yes.”

Lotor’s wide mouth splits as he whispers against her mouth, “Fortunately for you, princess, I’ve no intent to fight you truly, or you would already be dead with your silly staff. And if it were these Olympics, you would have no medal to bite.”

Face flushed, her eyes narrow to slits, and before Lotor can avoid it, she hooks her ankle against his and unbalances him. Surprised claws protract from his hands, gripping into her practice armor and his eyes widen.

And the two royals fall in a pile of limbs upon the mat, with Allura sprawled on top of a stunned Lotor, his sword clattering to the mat beside them.  

“Oh, no,” she says with a triumphant giggle, hands planted over his chest plate. Her curly flyaways are an angelic halo around her face. “You lowered your weapon but did not fully secure me, so I still win.”

Lotor grumps beneath her, his lavender cheeks flushing as he grips her forearms.

And despite Galra leadership watching the courts and murmuring with gossip in the far distance, Lotor softens. His rough, calloused thumbs stroke a pink marking along her bare forearm. “Best two out of three, then? I promise to secure you fully next time and cause another scandal for it.”

Allura leans forward, eyes sparkling. “Very well, Emperor Lotor. You’re on.”

Wait but like I’m rewatching THE BEAR and I’m watching that Marcus/Sydney scene in the last episode of Season 1 and Sydney said something that made me pause.

When Marcus asks her if she’s got a dream spot she says something like « yeah you’ll see it when I open it » and he says « I like the attitude, that’s how you win. » but then Sydney replies with « yeah or lose everything and end up living back with you dad and his stinky CPAP machine ».

And then it just hit me. Her dad is *sick*. I mean he must have sleep apnea at least to require such a device to help him breathe better ? So he definitely has some pulmonary related issues. The medications we all saw and were thinking it’s hers ? Someone already said they’re for her dad. Did anyone see what are the actual prescriptions or if it’s just the usual PPIs used for gastrointestinal stuff (like lanzoprazole etc) ?

So. Yeah….

Idk maybe it’s bc we saw him in season 2 and he didn’t *look* sick but I think the health scare we thought Sydney was gonna have in s3 ? Maybe it will actually be her dad after all and Idk how to feel about that. Like imagine if he has a heart attack or something… poor Sydney :((

A/N: Switching it up a bit until I get a good one-shot idea. I'm kind of using the idea of the nations having their own languages plus a common language in Kazuha's. Also I'm sorry Kazuha's is shorter I hope you enjoy it tho <3 and as always feedback is appreaciated!

Kazuha is the least jealous out of these three

He's rarely ever jealous if anything

He's very confident in the stability of your relationship

However, when he gets jealous, it's directed at the outsider, he's more annoyed than anything

Would probably just intrerrupt the conversation to place a kiss on your cheek (yk to show the person in question that they don't have a chance)

You'd obviously notice his that his atitude is a bit more cheeky than usual tho

And you'd be a tad bit surprised, because you didn't really expect something like this out of him

Kazuha was not the type to get irritated easily.

But as he watches the owner of dango stall flirt with you (shamelessly, I might add), he feels his jaw tensing up. Honestly, why were they dragging this out so much? He'd been so excited to show you around Inazuma City, and for the last fifteen minutes you were stuck at the dango stall.

Of course, you had no way of knowing what the seller was saying because of the specific expressions they were using, but he understood all too well. You were nodding your head politely, with a smile that looked more pained by each minute that passed.

When he's had enough, he walks over to the stall. "My love?"

You turn to face him, and he leans over to place a soft kiss on your cheek. "We need to leave."

You try to hide the wave of relief that washes over your face, as Kazuha explains something to the vendor. When they realise the context of your relationship, their attitude changes as embarrassment blooms in their expression, and Kazuha can't deny the exquisite satisfaction he feels at the sight.

"What did you tell them?" you ask, as the two of you continue your walk through the city.

"That we are two travelers that need to get back to Ritou, to catch our ship."

Not exactly a lie. Maybe except for the fact that the Alcor leaves in three days.

"Thanks for the save." Your lips curl up into a smirk. "Was kissing me a core part of the plan?"

Kazuha smiles, the kind of radiant smile that is more than enough to give you butterflies.

"Sorry, my dear. But if you knew the things they said to you...I just couldn't help myself."

He knows, at a rational level, that you love him, so why is it that he feels like this?

Xiao felt like his head was underwater, barely registering what you were saying.

He was so complicated and hard to handle, especially when karmic debt was taking a toll on him, it wouldn't be hard for you to find someone less exhausting-

The adeptus returns to the present, broken out by your voice. You're standing in front of him, puzzled look on your face.

"Did you zone out?"

Xiao swallows. "No. I was listening."

"No. You don't need to worry, this is no matter. Continue your story...about...your friend." He curses himself for the way his voice cracks on the word friend. And of course, you notice, and your expression shifts to a lesser degree of worry.

"Are you jealous?"

"It's fine if you are, you know. I mean, not fine for you, but, you don't need to feel embaressed about it. It's just how feelings are sometimes. You know I'd never actually...you know..."

His eyes widen. "No, of course not! I- Forgive me." He takes a deep breath. "I do not know what to do about it, you know this is all very new to me."

"Well,I guess I just have to show you until we crush every shadow of doubt." You cup his face and slowly press your lips to his. It's a simple kiss, but you make sure it communicates your feelings.

"A little better?" You ask after you pull away.

"Yes," he replies and pulls you in again.

as i'm sure you know, COVID is still one of the leading causes of death for many people & is still disabling thousands on a daily basis.

i'm sure it wasn't malicious, but referring to the pandemic in the past tense when so many are still directly affected by it & testing positive to this day is ableist language, because it centers those who have the luxury of health to falsely think of the pandemic - and, as a consequence, vulnerable folks - as a thing of the past.

please consider the language you use when referring to the ongoing pandemic, which many (including myself) are still masking to protect our health to this day 😷

Hey I know youre not coming from a bad place saying this, and I know you’re trying to call me out but it’s kind of bold to assume that i was not one of the people with disabilities that was affected by the pandemic while this is a blog that’s openly about living with disabilities. i have eds, caught covid even while masking, lost people in my life over it, was left seriously sick after, went through every type of doctor, and ended up doing experimental treatment because no one really knew what happened to me and they still don’t know, and i still haven’t recovered (probably never will, tho who knows) in 2024. i am a person with a disability left in terrible conditions after having it. i still mask. i am one of the people you refer to while also calling my language ableist because i used the past tense. I don’t really know what tense to use while talking about it. And it seems a lot of people disagree on it too, so i honestly don’t quite know what to think I should use because it’s honestly confusing. i am extremely aware covid is very very real, and it has changed my life forever ever since i had it.

I do not have the false luxury of that belief that you seem to assume i do. It’s quite hurtful, and I’ve been pretty open about it on this blog, and it’s one of the reasons I even made this blog. I’m literally disabled.

Not only I survived covid in terrible condition with awful levels of chronic back pain + chronic migraines + pots but i also survived a dengue epidemic this year in brazil and I haven’t been doing well ever since getting sick months ago.

unfortunately, hmo has declared covid to no longer be a pandemic. It was still a pretty controversial decision, I don’t know if people are unaware that covid isn’t serious, I certainly am not, and I don’t personally think it is “over” or in “the past” because this is honestly my present and it will be my future.

I know you don’t mean it, but the assumption still feels weird because you’re sending this to a person who has a blog about living with a disability, and it even says so on my description and pinned post.

I don’t know what language to use to describe this anymore, and I know it will be controversial either way. But just please, please, please, don’t assume that I’m not a disabled person who doesn’t mask and didn’t have their lives and health fall into crumbles after having covid and then having dengue which is a very serious epidemic in Brazil right now. My country was one of the most affected by covid, and I saw my life change completely after having it, and I knew people who were left extremely sick and died because of it. On top of that we had another epidemic virus outbreak (dengue). On top of that I already had a chronic illness (EDS). Then on top of that this is a blog about living with a disability and chronic pain.

And it seems specialists don’t know what language to use either, but most of these specialists are aware the disease is still very serious:

Just please, please, don’t assume things like this because I used past tense. Whatever tense I use, it feels like there will be people who don’t agree, I get that. I don’t know what language to use, and I don’t want to be stuck on the semantics of it, because I feel quite stuck still to the awful things that have happened to me these past years, the ones that are happening right now. So I’ve just recently gotten super into MSR (basic, I know) and knew there would be like, decades of fic out there on the internet for me.

I’m not usually super into fic, either reading or writing it. I have only written and read fic sporadically and until now, never shipping fic (I mean except for all those Les Mis lemons I wrote back a decade before I’d actually ever had sex lol!!). Part of the reason I don’t read a lot of fic tho is that I just don’t like the way most of it is written. I find ao3 house style to be kind of grating, and I think this is mostly because I loathe the present tense. Which I know is a me thing

So after scrolling ao3 I found one that looked appealing to me and as soon as I started reading it I could tell it was…different. It wasn’t any more literary than the typical fic or anything and the prose isn’t particularly unique (it’s unobtrusive for the most part) but it has a distinctively different flavor.

This lead me to believe it was an older fic, and I quickly confirmed that it had originally been posted on gossamer decades ago at this point. And i just thought it was interesting that I was able to tell that it was older just from the prose. I haven’t really read enough fic to really substantiate this but maybe you or your followers can speak to this

Styles do change. It's hard to pin down the exact differences. Maybe past tense was a little more common in 90s fic, but it's not absent now. The big picture stuff I usually use to define AO3 house style (e.g. "Sounds like genre fiction") was true in the 90s too... but your average genre fiction may have sounded a little different then too.

Some fandoms, like Starsky & Hutch or The Man from U.N.C.L.E., have fans reading the old stuff constantly, so there's more direct influence from older work on newer.

But yes, I too sometimes read something and realize it's probably older.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE OBC CAST RECORDING OF MEAN GIRLS.

‘A Cautionary Tale’: Honestly the best start to a musical ever. I’m obsessed with this song so much it’s insane. The little ‘nice’ from Damian and then ‘thank you’ from Janis after the ‘you can’t buy integrity from the mall’ line is SO SATISFYING. So good.

‘It Roars’: The transition into this song is so seamless and perfect and it’s so catchy. It shows how separated Cady is from society and it helps make sense of who she is, why she acts the way she does and how enthusiastic she is to finally join a more “normal community/society”. Does that make sense?. I am personally thankful that it was cut from the movie and replaced by ‘What Ifs’ because I just don't think it would’ve translated well. And that’s okay! Some things are better left untouched.

Which makes Lance and Jio are brother-in-laws. Makes me wonder how those two get along while living together on the same roof with their wives. With their personalities are complete opposites with each other.

The encounter was... awkward and a little tense, to say the least. Neither Lance nor Jio had caused each other any problems, not at all. But the lives of both had changed dramatically, for sure.

Firstly, Lance was struck by the fact that elves, a race that is thought to be extinct, is actually far from extinct. At least one living representative stands right in front of him. Jio's disguise won't fool Lance's violet eyes: he can see through the enchantment. Naturally, the curious adventurer will have a bunch of questions, which, naturally, the antisocial elf does not want to answer. This situation can be described as, "This is Jio, he likes his personal space. And this is Lance, he likes Jio's personal space." Lance isn't that intrusive, but let's be honest - a living elf who is now a brother-in-law.... Lance won't miss an opportunity to shower Jio with questions, and he's pretty stubborn. Although the elf is also stubborn as well. It's hard to say who would win.

Secondly, is the realisation and distinction of their unconventional professions. As far as we know, the Cult of the Lady with the Red Tail is not an official organisation, but is even a criminal clan engaged in assassination. At least, most people don't know the motive of the cult's followers and only listen to gossip about the next murder of someone unknown politic. Only Jio, his friends and his lover know that these people are no longer people, but soulless puppets of Gabriella, but still their cult deservedly has the status of "dangerous". Lance, on the other hand, is an adventurer and the right-hand man of The First Slash Clan. All of the Clans and the Ministry of Magic have an unspoken neutrality with the Cult, but each side always has a hand on the hilt of the sword if one side starts to get dangerous. Lance understands the situation perfectly well, so he approaches it rather cautiously. He truly understands the motive of Jio and the others, tho he's not too fond of the methods. But he also loves his spouse and will try to keep peace both within the family and among the Clan and Guilds. Lance is a good diplomat.

Despite their different personalities, the two have settled in quite peacefully. Lance occasionally teases the elf, and Jio can point his katana in Lance's direction (it doesn't come to fights, because they both don't want to upset and anger their sisters' wives), but they can become friends. Even if they don't socialise, just sit in complete silence.

If the sisters want to introduce their husbands to their friends and family..... Jio's and Lance's reactions might be different. Of course, Lance will present himself as an adventurer, while Jio will make up a story (for "assassin elf" doesn't sound like... much) for the friends and parents of the two farmers. If it's about friends who are also adventurers, or with Daia, Kiwi and other Cult members... This is where both men will try to delay the meeting a bit to figure out how not to create conflict. Belinda certainly won't be thrilled that one of her long-time friend's granddaughters having an adventurer as a spouse, and the Ministry of Magic will be tearing their hair out when Lance introduces his 'brother in law' to them. It's a delicate matter, so you have to be careful here. It'll take time, but everyone will get used to this chaotic family. Especially since the sister farmers have done more chaotic things before, and it all ended peacefully.

Watched the First 4 Episodes of the PJO Series, Here are My Thoughts:

Cast:

I absolutely love the cast!! They are just so perfect for their roles!! I've seen my fair share of clips and behind the scenes footage to know the chemistry between the actors and how perfectly the main trio embodies their characters, but actually seeing their acting and how well they fit together just makes sense in my brain!! They're all so small as well and adorable that it really puts it into perspective how young they truly are to be going through all of this and the things the characters go through as the books progress. It hurts but it's also endears you more to the actors and the characters.

Walker is just absolutely perfect as Percy. He's such a little shit and the way he delivers his lines, whether they're angry/emotional/sad or just comedic, is simply amazing!

"I am impertinent" THAT PART HAD ME WHEEZING FR

Although I don't have an issue with Lin Manuel Miranda as a person (I absolutely love his works and stuff) it does not make sense to cast him as Hermes, and that's just going off the elevator scene when he delivers the package! Like I honestly can't imagine this man as Luke's father :// It could've been better.

But the others are just great! Their energy is amazing and omg Mr. D was a blast! It's a much different portrayal than I was expecting since Mr. D is so chill and like aloof in the books, but seeing him yell and stuff at Percy to take on the quest just made me look at him in a new light!!

Filming/Aesthetics:

Every scene is shot so beautifully! And the choices they made with the places they add the music too!! Like the entire fight with the Minotaur being void of music was such a good choice. It just makes the entire scene so much more emotionally charged and tense while keeping the audience on the edge of their seat!! It was filmed so well and god it transported me to how it felt like when I read the books for the first time and went through that scene~

And omg the scene with Sally just sitting in the rain on the windowsill :(( That one was so soft and sad istg- any scene with Sally was just perfect, love her and the actress who did such a good job with her!!

Changes from the Books:

It's been around 5 or so?? years since I last read the books, so my recollection of what actually happened and what didn't was a bit fuzzy while watching the series but I was able to see how things changed. And so far, I don't mind the changes that much, like yes some had me staring at the screen like "hm" because they wetn a different way than I was expecting, but overall not too bad!

I did enjoy the scenes with Medusa, I liked having Percy wanting to hear her out and trusting to follow her inside because of what Sally had told him when he was a kid. I liked the conversations between Percy and her in the kitchen and even when she was explaining her side of the story to the trio. It was such a good way to present the scene, to show her resentment of both Athena and Posiedon, and also to show how she interacts with Percy to lure him in and play on his trusting and albeit naive nature at that point in the quest.

I did see people talking about episode 8 and the big reveal tho and I'm both excited to see it but also wary of the change they added cause I've seen a lot of mixed reactions. Some prefer the book version, some the version in the series.

General Thoughts:

I'm honestly enjoying the series, it's exciting seeing it all come to life and the dynamics and just sitting there in anticipation of what's to come.

I'm currently watching it with my big sis and let me tell y'all it's so much fun!! She hasn't read the books so all she knows is purely from when we watched the movies together a long time ago so she doesnt remember much (but unfortunately the big reveal at the end isn't going to be a surprise for her). I'm having the time of my life being a little shit and laughing at her confusion or whenever she'd start yelling "WHAT" at the screen like when Sally dissapeared HAHAHA she keeps turning to me and trying to come to conclusions and theories for things while I just smile or shake my head at outrageous ones. I am excited to see her reactions to certain scenes in the other books, especially when it comes to a certain someones end in the last book (she does not like him rn so I'm like 👀 rn to see if that might change along the way).

Uncle Rick did such a good job with the series so far and I'm excited to watch the rest of it, especially now that news of it being renewed for season 2 came out HEHEHE

i only understood this after playing ghost trick lol, ig all i had to do is to scratch the idea of terminus ascending in the 'present' (the past to us) instead they ascended in the future and are currently traveling to the past (our present). we now know that the SH follow finality and they're avoiding the destruction of the future so makes sense they know of the future, if terminus is going back to the more distant past while ascended in the past themselves, how can they know of the future?

if finality already happened, Is it possible that terminus ascended at that point? to go back to the past and try to change it. ig terminus doesn't want to erase "finality" but just change the way it happens

As for chishiya, he was having the time of his life, he found himself visiting these events frequently, probably because he enjoyed crushing people, giving them hope and toying with them, before crushing them in these games. And since these tournament events happened at night chishiya even went as far as to add alcohol to his night of fun, after all, based on his standards there wasn’t much he’d call competition, his regular drinks were whisky’s and martinis depending on his mood and how much fun he was having. These events also helped chishiya take his mind off his soon to had been fiancé, this was a truth he had only shared with kuina. Chishiya missed his beloved girlfriend and worried about the possibilities of her ending up here, after all, chishiya had only been in Tokyo that day to pick up the custom made ring before appearing in the borderlands.

This week the game chosen was chess and that was a game chishiya had been mastering since he was nine, not having his parents actively present in his life gave him the opportunity to learn and grow independently. So at this point chishiya was a master. So far he had been scaling through the games, but he had heard that the predicted finalist was clearing opponents like it was nothing. He could never take a good look at the person because whenever they played, there was always a crowd around them, watching them intently, even though his games attracted a crowd it didn’t attract a large crowd like this person’s games. Finally the finals came and chishiya had arrived at the chess table 15 minutes earlier, he couldn’t shake off the nervous feeling in his stomach but as a result of that feeling , chishiya was even more excited.

15 minutes passed and his opponent appeared standing before him, wearing a scarlet red scarf hanging loosely around her neck, her fierce eyes piercing into his soul forcing him to look up and when he did, his normal expressionless gaze disappeared along with the unbothered facade he had sown to his personality. He felt dumb for not realising that you were his opponent, he did however notice that you were not a member of the beach and suspected that you had just walked in, found people placing chess and decided to join (that’s actually what happened). You stretched your hand out to shake him and asked playfully giggling “shall I have this dance” still star struck he nodded. The game began and after you both made your first move, the atmosphere was tense, after every move chishiya would raise his said to meet your fierce eyes, it made him warm, it distracted him, weakened his moves and to cope he drank more. You were winning, and chishiya was tipsy but still sober enough to play and understand his surroundings. “So what do we get if we win” chishiya asked, “something from each other” you added capturing his pawn, “well what do you want from me” chishiya interrogated, “you will find out once the game is over” you smirked retrieving your queen, “what do you want tho?” You spoke again, “alas querida I can not tell you yet” he said smugly in a stupid made up accent, which made you laugh, you stretched your hand over the board to brush back the blonde man’s hair, causing his body to be suddenly over taken with warmth, the tip of his ears red and his eyes fixated on you, before he could ask any questions you said “your hair, I want to play you at your best, I thought it might be obstructing your vision… I like the colour, it suit you…. Well you have always had it like that…. Well then I guess I just like your hair” chishiya smiled at your embarrassment and you both resumed the game, 30 minutes later, the game was over, chishiya had resigned and you were victorious.

After the game results had been declared and you had been celebrated, chishiya takes you on a walk towards his room where he hoped you would spend the night before introducing you to hatter and the other beach executives. “Ok ‘champions’ what did you want from me” chishiya said grabbing your hand and kissing it, “I probably shouldn’t ask, you are drunk right now and I might be and yeah we should just sleep” you said, realising you were now infront of chishiya’s room, you tried to get past him but he grabbed you arm, pulling you towards him, before asking “do you still like…. My hair” chishiya said trying to pick his words carefully.

In that moment y/n stood close to him so close she could feel the warmth of his breath as he spoke, her heart racing as their eye met, holding their gaze at each other, his hand wrapped around her waist, overwhelmed by her own need for him, she pulled him into a rough and messy kiss, pulling away from her, his overwhelming desires driving him crazy chishiya struggled with opening the door to his room, once opened, they wasted no time getting into the room, kissing roughly, making her decision on what she wants from this man, y/n pulled away from the kiss, biting down on his neck causing an unusual moan to escape from the lips of the blonde man. y/n planted a trail of kisses on the man as she dropped to her knees. Getting to the meeting he placed the red scarf on the table. Waiting patiently for you to find him, soon enough, you burst into the room, charging at him, demanding he returned the scarf. “Oh darling you are up” he said all innocently “don’t oh darling me, where is it? I know you took it, you are the only one capable of such” you said placing your hand on the table, staring at him with glares that could kill, “I don’t know what you are talking about it’s right th-” chishiya said, before interrupted “oh cut the crap and hand it over” you said interrupting him, “but darling it’s right there” he said smiling and pointing at the table, your hand was in it this whole time, you instantly calmed down, your thoughts became more rational and your mind clear, you had not noticed that the scarf was under your hands, just like you had not noticed that the leaders of the beach were watching the scene and how you had not noticed that you were standing before them wearing only chishiya’s hoodie, which covered you very well but it made your relations with him apparent, at that moment chishiya realised that he’d probably be kicked out of his own room for a while and during all this hatter had been laughing with aguni, it wasn’t common for someone to handle chishiya like that, however they were more surprised that chishiya got laid consensually before Niragi.

DFF episode 5 thoughts:

Rambling some thoughts about the DFF characters, spoilers possible so I'm putting a cut

Jin - I was surprised that it seems like Jin isn't one of the bullies, I thought for sure he would be. Unless he's REALLY good at hiding how manipulative he is, he seemed to genuinely like Non (as a friend, I think) and wanted to befriend him. Especially since he fought back to his friends when they shit-talked Non... but then the question comes up, why is he friends with them if they're nasty and he's not? And why was he surprised at the way they talked to Non? Is he new to the group? Why did they accept him?

Tee - This episode made me a bit more sympathetic to him but also made me dislike him more at the same time? Because on the one hand he's in a really awful position where his uncle his using leverage of withholding the money Tee needs to help his sick father, and threatening to cut them off if Tee doesn't help with his criminal enterprise. And at the same time, Tee was so nasty and manipulative to Non I still had a hard time sympathizing with him. I'm interested to see how he and White got together, and if things with his dad resolve.

Top - Hated him, but I wish we'd gotten more depth. He doesn't seem to be part of the core of the friend group. He's just a mouthy hanger-on that doesn't have much beyond that, but I'd imagine his home life isn't good either since that's the direction the show has gone for the rest of the bullies.

Por - I felt bad for him, ngl. He had Regina George running the school vibes, but then his home life is tense. His mom babies and spoils him but his dad seems to disapprove of his entire life, and only care about Por as far as it extends to the dad's image. In the preview for the next episode, we see Por getting hit by his dad. It makes sense to me why he became the bitchy bully popular kid, since he has money but not love.

Fluke - He seemed to be part of the core of the group but also really quiet? Like it seemed like Tee, Por, and Fluke were the original three friends and the core of the group since they were the ones to convince Tee. But beyond that scene, Fluke seems really quiet and reserved. He's also the one to show disapproval of Tee and Top bullying Non and blaming the camera breaking on him, but he doesn't say anything about it or back up Jin.

Non - I wonder about him. He was presented as an entirely innocent victim this episode - but is he? He's taking medication for mental health issues, clearly. What kind? It is possible that he eventually snaps and causes something bad to happen... he shows s*icidal tendencies this episode, so is it possible he goes all the way later because of some of the bad stuff that Tee dragged him into? Or maybe he snaps and tries to hurt someone? I don't know, I'm interested to see what happens next. Currently I feel bad for him and wish the others would leave him alone, but we'll see if that changes over upcoming episodes.

Keng - Creepy. I liked him up until he pushed a ride on Non even tho Non didn't look like he wanted it. Now I wonder if he spotted a lonely, isolated kid and easy target and is harassing him... he could be the ❤️ in Non's phone. Idk but I don't trust him.

Questions I still have:

How did Keng end up dead? IS he really dead?

How does Tee's uncle play into all of this, as well as the money laundering with Non?

Did Non commit s*icide, did someone kill him, or is he still alive?

How does the politics and money laundering play into the broader plot?

How did Non end up going along to the vacation home when Por clearly doesn't want him to be there?

How does the cult play into all of this, if it does?

Are the present boys being haunted, or is it hallucinations? If it's a haunting, why did Top try to kill Jin when Jin was the nice one to Non, unless something goes wrong later?

Does Non like Jin? Does Jin like Non back?

Who is ❤️ in Non's phone?

How does the group not know if Non is dead or alive? Did his family never report him missing? Do they think he's abroad? What's going on there?

🌸 so first i recommend learning abt the law of attraction (u can look it up too if this is confusing). essentially, the law of attraction (or loa) is whatever u think will happen, will happen. for example: if i assume i have brown hair and affirm and persist in this belief (even tho i physically have blonde hair), then my hair will change to brown

🌸 youtube has some great subliminals that can help u to feel more confident in ur affirmations!! remember that if it isn’t working for u, it may be that this specific creator isn’t helping much, or it could be that ur still in a doubtful mindset! it really helps to get urself in a confident mindset, as if u already have ur desired thing <3 it can be hard when ur not used to it, but be stubborn!! u deserve to have everything u want!! if it’s too intimidating, go for something small first (ex. freckles or a small amount of money). dont focus on the results until they appear, focus on the journey and how grateful u r for it <3

🌸some yt subliminals i listen to: strawberryincense, adoeraa, strawbchan, and thewizardliz! however feel free to branch out and look for ones that suit ur tastes (i recommend looking for ones w a lot of followers, bc to me it feels safer)

🌸if ur affirming without subs, there r tonssss of ways to do it. it’s rly whatever makes u feel confident and happy. there’s robotic affirming (where u write/think/say ur affirmations over and over for a certain amount of time), there’s ’letter to the universe’ (where u write a letter to the universe saying all ur grateful for *say ur grateful for things you want to happen*), or u can write a little paragraph in ur notes app talking in present tense about all the things u want (ex. i looove having pretty hair and sparkly eyes!!). if u wanna do it all just in ur head remember to try affirming in the present tense. imagine ur rly grateful that all ur desires have come true!!

I woke up the next day to something unexpected. The video with Max went viral as expected, but for the wrong reasons.

The editor of the video didn't cut out the talk I had with Max while eating the dish, and everyone was going crazy over it. One account in particular stood out.

" Let's view a replay from this morning's interviews..." the other said.

Past - This morning, Italian GP interviews

" I heard Mercedes have made some admirable changes to their cars. Russell is right behind you. Scared?" The woman questioned.

" They were also supposed to have admirable changes in quali, and that didn't stop me from passing them both. I'm not worried." you answer.

The woman smiled, and another man asked a question.

" Now, Y/N, rumours are you're dating Max! Any comments?" he excitedly asked.

" None." you say, smiling to add fuel to the fire.

All the reporters suddenly bombarded you with questions, so you quickly left while giggling without looking back.

It was Charles' turn to answer some questions from the media.

" So Charles, there seems to be only friction between you and Y/N since the start of the year. She seems to be confused as to why she's the only one you're tense with, even though you have other enemies." A snobby reporter asked.

" I have my reasons, and so does she. Let's keep it private and talk about racing instead." He answered impatiently.

" What about Max and Y/N's relationship, what do you think about that?" another reporter shouted.

Charles jaw clenched ever so slightly.

" I think it will only bring them disadvantages on track, and tension off-track. Stupid move from their part," Charles annoyingly admits.

" That is your opinion about relationships off-track?" someone yelled out.

Charles hesitates for a moment.

" Absolutely. We are all friends to a certain extent, but bring love into this and it's over. It'll end badly, mark my words. Now if anyone has a question about the car, please?" Charles desperately said.

Present- Italian Grand Prix

" Ouch... Charles Leclerc, forever a heartbreaker it seems! Let's see how this all unfolds as the cars are placed on the grid." the announcer concludes.

Y/N POV

This is my time to fucking shine. Two respected drivers in front, my race to win.

The lights are off, and I have a remarkable start that leads me to already fighting Leclerc at the first corner.

He's a remarkable defender, and unfortunately so am I. My defence often outshines my offence. Still, I know how to overtake well and I'm starting to see a habit that Leclerc has. He's often directly on the apex, meaning I still have place to overtake him without losing speed.

I try overtaking him after a few laps that I used to close the gap between the both of us, and it almost succeeds. There's a chicane coming, and I know that's when I need to do it. The job would be done afterwards, not many were able to overtake me.

The chicane comes quickly, but sure enough when we come out of it I'm in front of him.

Even through all the noise, I hear the crowd cheer for me. I'm half Italian, after all.

Stroll crashes later on in the race, meaning the safety car was deployed. This was my chance to pass Max in front. I needed to have the quickest reaction time.

I hear Chris tell me it's the last lap before the safety car leaves, and I prepare myself.

Max and I react almost instantly. I have the upper hand and now we're wheel to wheel going into the second corner, and third, and fourth... And finally, at the fifth turn, I speed through the same chicane I overtook Leclerc in and I am now leading the race. The crowd roars.
