I’ve talked about this before but imagine what it’s like for someone in a country/place where eliot is Top Most Wanted and then your tech guy finds a breakout star baseball player on their visual scanner that looks EXACTLY like spencer. but…there’s no way that’s him, right???

and then the next year it happens again but this time it’s some one hit wonder country singer kenneth crane that has like 78 tween-run fangirl blogs dedicated to him. you see a grainy video of him being chased by a horde of screaming teenage girls and ??? no way Eliot Last Thing You’ll Ever See Spencer is a country singer star just. signing pictures of his face right…?

a few months later your intern shows you footage of an eliot lookalike who is in san lorenzo talking about how there is dog fighting in the presidential palace and you just. sigh. because of course. a scant few days later the political geography of the country changes drastically and damien moreau is imprisoned. …interesting

and then a year of silence goes by. he still shows up as blips on the radar but he must have a good hacker working for him because his tracks on the internet are expertly erased.

every time you ask through interagency channels some random interpol guy talks in (condescending?) riddles at you and it also somehow feels like he’s threatening you

and then your friend who recently got into foreign hockey teams sends you a dropyourgloves video of someone called jacques the bear. you immediately get a headache (and watch some more videos because even you can admit this guy is a good hockey player)

and you know he’s a Bad Guy but it’s been admittedly a bit entertaining seeing what claim to fame he will come upon next. and his most recent actions over the few years make you wonder.

a few months later your phone pings because multiple heads of state evacuated from DC. the reason? eliot spencer was in town. you hear two days later a bioterrorist was taken down by… the report was redacted. your hacker tells you spencer and two teammates were behind the successful operation. which, huh.

not even a full year later it is released that spencer is dead and… you don’t know how to feel.

I understand if you can’t answer cause of spoilers but does Wukong or anyone ever find out about the full truth of macaques past? I assume it comes back to bite him at some point the past always does

A lot of small things that Macaque do are in consequence of how he lived, his want to stay in the island instead of traveling, his overprotectiveness of ffm are in relation to his previous homelessness status, of never having had a place or troop to call home

His unwavering faith and following in Wukong is in relation to him thanking the other for giving him a home and wanting to repay him for that, etc etc

i am not usually interested in dramatically canon-divergent scenarios because the canon story is what compels me, but i've been obsessed with this moment ever since i re-heard it during my second viewing. from the perspective of someone who already finished the story once and now knows the truth - this was wild.

So do we think maybe Buck golfing with Gerrard is something along the lines of Tommy giving advice to Buck to get to know him and play nice to make his life easier (or some such - because Tommy never actually had any hated directed at him from Gerrard so never actually experienced first hand what he was like in the same way Chim and Hen did).

Which Buck will do and find out a few things about his situationships (it’s technically unlabelled as a relationship so I’m not calling them boyfriends!) past behaviours and dots will start connecting all those red flags that Tommy is waving?!!

Changing the graphics settings in Warframe is like putting up domino pieces.

Been changing a setting, restarting warframe, then checking how it looks, if it looks shitty I restart the pc because I've changed the settings there too,

For WIP Wednesday, with all the wrestler Peeta chatter today, I have to ask if you're considering a fic or drabble -- or maybe another part of Senior Year? I know you've mentioned before about watching a lot of wrestling in high school :)

Yes!

So I have a plot point in Misadventures where she goes to all the wrestling matches… but only to ‘watch Prim cheer’

But also an idea for Senior Year to send Katniss to ‘States’ to watch Peeta wrestle for a title… I’m trying to figure out a way to suspend my disbelief on a couple issues. Writing action is not a strong suit/interest of mine so it would be more about the nerves and excitement of watching…

Wrestling is sort of cool because it’s both an individual and a team sport - each person is wrestling one on one against an opponent, but then individual wins count towards a team total - A pin has a higher point value than a regular win or an overtime win/tie and a forfeit (if I remember correctly) has as much weight as ‘pin’ to the other team. Wrestlers can have a range of weights classes they can wrestle, so there’s is a level of strategy to putting each in the right weight class to get a team win (like putting a mediocre wrestler in a wipslot against a wrestler they will likely loose to - as long as you aren’t pinned it’s better than a forfeit)… Haymitch feels like the ideal wrestling coach in that regard
