The Gnoses aka Dragon's Heart
SPOILER'S BASED ON NEUVILLETTE'S ASCENSION CONCLUSION LINE
hi guys :) sorry i've been out for months lmao <3
"According to Neuvillette, the current Dragon Sovereign of Water, the Gnoses contain the Seven Authorities used by the Seven Sovereigns to command the elements. They were held by the usurpers after being stolen by the Usuper-King, robbing the Sovereigns of true dragonhood." > from the wiki The first translation of "gnosis" was like dragon's heart and now that aspect is coming into play in game and allowing us to make more informed speculations. If the gnoses are in fact the dragon hearts of the seven sovereigns and are powered by their abilities, and Neuvillette is the newest reincarnation of the Hydro Dragon... We can then speculate that Dvalin is the newest reincarnation of the Anemo Dragon. (Additionally, the fact that Celestia relied on the sovereign's power in the first place is reflected in the fact that the Primordial one is not of Teyvet, so they need the inside source of power in order to manipulate the world for their desires of total control. Here, I would point our attention to that one achievement, "Colors of The Rainbow: Light can refract into countless colors, but people stop at seven because they're too lazy to count. Perhaps the elements are like that, too.") In the ending scene of the Mondstadt's archon quest, when Dvalin asks "Is this the power of the Anemo Archon?" makes me wonder both if Venti returned a portion of that ancient power AND how much Dvalin might know about his own origins as a vishap at the least and as the reincarnation of the Anemo sovereign at the most !! I know Venti taught him to speak and sing, but like... did he really just casually raise a primordial power? ... I suppose that's nbd for a prospective shade of Istaroth though huh. (i can only imagine how upset the fatui must be if Venti returned the primordial power and thereby rendered the gnosis effectively useless in contacting Celestia)

I’m probably going to write a fic about Vennessa’s ascension to celestia because my theory rn is that celestia does not do good things and ascension is really really bad actually. Basically, while I found most of the genshin webtoon pretty bad I did find the part about Vennessa’s ascension super interesting lore wise. Venti tells her about how celestia has used the corpses of fallen beings and has shaped the world with them and seems almost regretful about her ascension- although I really don’t trust him, he’s definitely keeping things from us and didn’t stop the ascension, I think he knows something very bad is going to happen to her. We get one scene of her in celestia and all it shows looks like panopticon, a type of prison where one guard in the middle can see all the prisoners cells in a circle around it. She has a horrified look on her place, and next a falcon soars out of this place. Perhaps celestia has killed her or almost even worse just straight up turned her into the falcon of the west. Ascension to celestia is supposedly the reward for the greatest heroes, but I think it’s about neutralizing them so celestia’s rule goes unchallenged, and almost a sick joke. A hero cannot challenge them if their corpse has been turned into the clouds. Vennessa can’t pose a threat to them if they make her into a falcon

I love Mondstadt sm, and it's not because it is the "home region", but because it is a mysterious and sometimes even creepy region when you dig a little bit further

i think the funniest thing about Genshin is how the storyline completely fucks you over.
the beginning is pretty straightforward, honestly: you and your sibling were traveling to this world and had a fight with a god that you lost. you crash landed and ended up in a coma. woke up, your sibling is missing, and you go off to talk to different god and try and find your sibling.
if you pay even mild attention to the storyline and fast-forward a couple adventures,
there's some primordial god fucking with you, none of the gods you've met are actually really gods technically, there's been like 5 different civilizational genocides in the past 1000+ years that nobody seems particularly concerned about, your sibling is and isn't your sibling and is also maybe evil? (unclear), the world may be in a time loop, NPCs die every other world quest, the key to all your questions is a nation that got completely smited and cursed 500 years ago, and your most helpful kind-of ally is the guy that shows up once a year, cryptically trauma dumps some lore, and then fucks off again.
welcome to genshin impact.

SPOILERS FOR DRDT AND THE CANON DANGANRONPA GAMES. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Okay, so. I've seen quite a few people hating on the chapter 2 culprit choice due to their execution and it not fitting their ultimate talent. The reasons they include as far as i've seen are; - Min's execution was centred around her talent, so to have the chapter 2's execution not centre around their ultimate is inconsistent. - The canon Danganronpa game's executions are centred around the the culprits talent, so having the culprit's not revolve around their talent doesn't make sense. - The "sections" (can u tell im not trying to spoil bfore the cut.) of the execution felt random and didnt really make much sense. My opinion of these takes? "NO, THAT'S WRONG!" In other words - I wholeheartedly disagree. And this post is going to explain why - as well as why I believe the culprit's execution is wonderfully done. *btw this is not an attack towards anyone and is purely my opinion as is your own dont come for me. please.
To begin: let's tackle the points I mentioned above. (side note - ik the colour coding looks a little random but its fun okay.) - "Min's execution was centred around her talent, so to have the chapter 2's execution not centre around their ultimate is inconsistent." I can understand why you think that, but Min's execution is more than just being based off her talent. Min's character revolves around how the only reason she's seen as anything more than a normal person is due to her being the "Ultimate student" and extremely smart (which can be seen in her bonus episode dialogue.)
Tumblr media
She's terrified of making any mistakes and her life revolves around being enough. She also has imposter syndrome due to her talent not being scouted out like usual.
Tumblr media
This plays into her execution as well - It gives her questions that have no real answer, causing her to fail - in other words, make a mistake. She also has to spend her last moments alive doing a test and being a student - which we know she feels as if that's all she's worth for.
Tumblr media
Basically - Her execution fits her character well, as well as her ultimate talent, because her talent is very important to her character. Let me copy and paste a line from the above paragraph -
"her talent is important to her character." Min's execution fit her talent because her talent was a big part of her - which cannot be said for Ace. Sure, there's some lore behind him not enjoying jockeying - but it's not as major to his character as his fears. As we know, Ace is scared of many things - But the things he is scared of all have some way of hurting/killing him. To boil it down - Ace is extremely scared of death.
Tumblr media
That's very major to his character, obviously - as it's the reason he kills Arei in the first place. Ace's execution is based on his fear of death and false alarms because that is the best way to cause despair for him- to make the execution as interesting for the audience and as torturous for him as possible. To sum this up - Ace and Min's executions are consistent. Sure, Min's execution revolved around her talent - but that's only because to her, talent is extremely important to her character. Her imposter syndrome and insecurity around her talent makes it a very big part of her, so that's why her execution was a test - Because it fit her character. Ace's talent, similarly, revolves around his character. He is scared of death and that is what led him to murder. The only difference is that Ace's talent is not as relevant to him as Min's is to her, and therefore it isn't part of the execution.
moving on! - The canon Danganronpa game's executions are centred around the the culprits talent, so having the culprit's not revolve around their talent doesn't make sense. Okay, to put it bluntly, no. as for the actual explanation!! I can give you multiple examples of danganronpa characters who's executions revolve not around their talent, but their charater. I think the best example I can give is Celestia Ludenburg. (please excuse me if i mess up anything on the following section its been a hot minute since i've played thh)
Tumblr media
To recap on her execution: Celestia is shown tied onto a pole. A fire starts, and she begins to get burned alive witch style. Suddenly, an ambulance crashes into her, killing her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, if you've been paying attention to the canon Danganronpa games, you would know Celestia's talent is the Ultimate Gambler. Which - shock - has absolutely jack shit to do with her execution! Anyway. Celestia's execution is actually pretty smart if you think about it. Celestia's character revolves around her wanting to seem extravagant and royal. (her clothing style, the whole European castle dream, you get me?) She doesn't want to be seen as some "Basic Japanese girl".
Tumblr media
When she is caught as a culprit, she eventually says that she'd be okay with dying as long as it was extravagant. And, at first, it is. She's being burned at the stake - like a witch, probably referring to her gothic (?) like style - which is certainly not a boring way to go. We see in her execution she's pretty chill with dying like that, as she is smiling. However, the ambulance then crashes into her. The genius in this is that car crashes are one of if not the most common cause of death. In other words, a basic way to die, and nothing special. That's the best way Monokuma could have caused Celestia to feel despair - Make her feel normal. Unlike everything I've just stated above, Celestia's talent is not too relevant to her arc. It's really most relevant in her FTE's, which are completely optional. Hey, doesn't that sound familiar? A characters execution is based of their character and not their talent due to their talent not being as major to their character? Yeah?????? YEAH??? - Kirumi Tojo's (and maybe korekiyo's??) execution also doesn't really fit their talents, but I wont go into detail on that.
Moving on!
- The sections of the execution felt random and didn't really make much sense.
Well...no, not really! If you look into more detail, there's actually a lot of cool stuff to notice. (all the below comes from this post! check it out, it's super cool)
The first "death" is Death by Illness. This is alluding to how Xander's family allegedly died to an "unexplainable illness", which you can see in his bonus episode.
Tumblr media
Death by Fire is referencing his "Fiery" attitude/temper.
Tumblr media
Death by Car Accident - Ace mentions this one directly in chp 1. episode 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Death by falling is referencing Min falling to her death in her execution.
Tumblr media
Death by murder is kind of obvious. The attempt on Ace's life Nico made - as well as how the weapon is pointed at his neck, similar to how Nico garrotted Ace's neck.
Tumblr media
Death by drowning - This one is my own interpretation - maybe alluding to how water was used in both the murders so far?
Tumblr media
Death by lightening: Xander being electrocuted?? Maybe??
Tumblr media
Death by Execution: I hope I don't need to point out how this relates to DRDT.
Tumblr media
Ace dying from fear induced cardiac arrest is both ironic and incredibly tragic. This post explains it VERY well.
Tumblr media
TW FOR TALK OF EDs If I were to horrifically sum up the post - Ace could have lived if he didn't suffer from an ED. Anorexia makes your heart beat slower - having a slow heartbeat makes it so that, when you feel very intense emotion, your heart rate shoots up, making you more prone to have a heart attack, and therefore cardiac arrest. It's really, really sad that this caused him to die in the end. TW OVER
anndddd we're done!!! haha im so tired. anyway honorary teruko mention!!! also drdt dev i love u for chp 2 you did INSANELY well.

Kaeya's design pt.2 (updated until 5.1 because yes, more stuff gets added with updates, his design is that thought ahead)
or maybe im delusional and looking into things way too much! heyy, Me again!! this is gonna be a master post of all the things ive noticed about kaeya's design, ive made one like it before but since then there's been a bunch of new stuff so i decided to make a new post that has everything i have to note. this is complied of things i myself have noticed and things that others have. this post will not include anything about his skin other than noting a couple of significant differences since the outfit wasn't made specifically for him in the scope of the story, but i might cover it in a separate post
kaeya's design mostly consists of "two sides" in a way, his "mondstat" side and his "khaenri'ah" side.
Tumblr media
his mondstat side includes his vision, the full side of his cape in the back, the earring he wears and his rat tail, all this represents the freedom he has in mondstat and the person he grew to be there, a vision bearing knight of favonius.
the khaenri'ah side includes his eyepatch, the wisp of lighter hair in his bang, a clipped cape ("wing") and the majority of the fur coating. i believe this goes to represent that he's still tied to khaeni'ah despite all the time he's spent in mondstat, and that he's quite aware of it.
all across his design (the boots, corset belt, gloves, little things on the ends of the cape thing he has, his right sleeve) there are bunch of "eight pointed" stars we see associated with khaenri'ah, one being in his pupil which was a confirmed trait to khaenri'ahn people ever since we saw dainsleif.
id like to note that kaeya's eyepatch is stressed on a lot in game. its constantly referred back to most of the time when kaeya is brought up. he has a voiceline about it (that has been changed once in the english version to to a mistranslation i believe, ill include both versions) the first is the current version.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
traveler has a voiceline about it where paimon makes fun of it but i think its notable there's a voiceline specifically about it at all.
Tumblr media
its mentioned right when we start the world quest "Bough Keeper" where we meet dainsleif. he doesn't even have an eyepatch half of his face is just black it was a stretch in the first place.
Tumblr media
kaeya himself dismisses it as nothing unusual.
Tumblr media
in his story quest he says he inherited it from his grandfather, which is solid proof that they're related by blood. (his story quest has some crazy foreshadowing btw that predicted that him and the abyss twin are possibly related in some way or another by extensions but i wont get into it here)
Tumblr media
there isnt really a solid idea attached to any of this, other than the fact that kaeya's eyepatch is stressed on as a point of intrigue, its pretty implied to be related to his origin of khaenri'ah, and we often see khaenri'hn people with their right eye covered in some way. and to those of you that think that he wears the eyepatch because diluc injured his eye during his fight, no he isnt. it might've been scarred by him yes but he isnt blind in that eye, and in the webcomic it shows kaeya wearing an eyepatch on the day crepus died, before the fight with diluc.
while we're on the subject of his eyes, he's somewhat of an abnormality amongst Khaenri'ahn people. every other khaenri'ahn person we know have teal eyes with their pupil being a bold black star outline, kaeya's on the other hand are a darker blue with a more faded filled in star. i wont include the eyes of every single character to prove my point but trust me i looked at them all. the only exception seems to be pierro but since he doesnt have an in-game model yet and he wasnt shown super clearly in the trailer im unsure what to make of it for now so i wont include it.
Tumblr media
one of the first things generally noticed about kaeya's design once you look into it a little is that he somewhat resembles cryo abyss mages, most notably the fur coat he keeps thrown over his shoulder, the "bunny ears" in his hair (ahoge?) but most of the resemblance comes from playstyle.
(in playstyle he's similar in the sense that he teleports on his fifth attack, his ult is similar to the icicles they produce after their shield is broken, he produces his own shield at c4 etc)
one crazy thing also is his cape looks a lot like the top part of the celestial nails and the bottom part of the statues of the seven, and weirdly enough parts of paimons outfits.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a lot of people theorize the log in screen is the enterance to celestia, and that the nails in dragonspine and the chasm are fallen pillars from there. for someone from a godless nation its sort of weird that he seems to have that connection to something celestial huh? this part of the design is also included in his special dish in the skewer itself. (he also marks the mushroom with an eight pointed star as opposed to the x on the regular one)
Tumblr media
other than celestian, mondstatian, khaenri'ahn themes in his outfit, he also has fatui ones! on the front side of the cape we can see that it attaches to a fur thing that covers kaeya's lapels. i have no idea how this attaches or if its just thrown on top, but this design choice is distinctly fatui, weirdly enough. specifically in the style of the attire of the fatui harbingers coats or official ware when they're gathered. i related it distinctly to pierro before but after getting a good look at capitano's model its more fatui, though there's some things that are similar distinctly between kaeya and pierro.
Tumblr media
most distinctly, the fur and the lapels being in a very similar shape which is the part that's distinctly fatui, the mask/eyepatch over the right eye as well a strikingly differently colored strand of hair being distinct to pierro and kaeya.
there's a kind of gap in the middle of pierro's chest part of the outfit that somewhat resembles the one kaeya has as well. i saw someone point this out on reddit but i cant find the post because it was a while ago but regardless, they brought up the point of it being exactly in the place and shape of where abyss heralds/black serprent knights have an eight-pointed star, which could be a subtle nudge at khaenri'ah as well.
Tumblr media
now, i have two ideas of what those similarities could be hinting at.
kaeya is actually a fatui member (which i believe has some sort of merit because of the recent appearances of capitano and some similarties between them in attire and playstyle weirdly enough, as well as a theory ive been getting behind that states that capitano could be/is related to anfortas alberich)
the fatui harbinger design choices are actually inspired by khaenri'ah, which isnt a stretch given that pierro is the founder and director of the fatui harbingers. thus making them look similar to kaeya rather than vice versa.
panning back up a little bit, regarding the silver hair in kaeya, it seems to be expanding to the rest of his hair, in his skin it goes down the length of his braid.
Tumblr media
in the webcomic where we flash back to the past a bit, we see kaeya actually doesnt have the little strand of silver over his left ear, as well as when we return to the normal time setting of the comic, its also not included in his icy featherflight splash art (this 100% could be a stretch on my part they could've just forgot about it its a small strand) (while we're talking about stretches, my biggest one is that childe has a similar streak in his hair lol but that might be going toooo far)
Tumblr media
last but not least, his vision, one of the most interesting things about his whole characters. a person from a nation that actively defied the gods recieving a sign of their recognition seems like kind of a threat doesnt it? and its all the more ominous that his vision casing is different from every other mondstat casing!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is the back of kaeya's vision next to the back of diluc's vision for comparison, the only notable things are the lack of a third wing probably signifying he's sort of out of place, and the swirl? wave? whatever you wanna call it is on the wrong side. every other character with a double sided vision has the swirl on the other side like jean, diluc, mona, eula, lisa (etc..? i havent seen anyone else with a double sided vision which is also interesting, at least from mond)
however!! weirdly enough, in the 3.8 summer event where kaeya gets his skin, his vision actually gets a different casing, as you can see he gets his full three wings, as well as an extra spike! but not really an extra spike because the vision is just on top of another thing that makes it look like it has a third spike, but the wing is actually there. the genshin fashion archive isnt updated with kaeya's skin so i cant check if there's a swirl, even though the vision isnt even double sided in the skin which is also really weird to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
im pretty sure ive covered most things, if anyone has any additions please let me know! id love to look into them.
i think kaeya is a really interesting character who's incredibly centered around foreshadowing in the way he carries himself and his backstory, so to think that they managed to extend the foreshadowing bit into even his design is a little bit insane imo.

in a shot of celestia in the manga, when venessa ascended, we actually get to see whats inside celestia. now to humans, celestia is heaven. but when we look at this image, this doesnt really reflect my idea of heaven. vanessa's reactions seems to portray a mixture of emotions aswell. rather than being heavenly, this image seems to reflect the opposite: a prison. or to be specific, a panopticon. the concept of the panopticon originated in the 18th century. the idea is simple: an institution to observe all things from a similar location. if my theory of visions being a diversion or a bait is correct, these visions are used by the fake god to keep an eye on certain individuals. if the fake god feels threatened by this individual, they are ascended into celestia: a prison. to add to the theory or panopticon, during our dialogue with ningguang at the jade chamber, she speaks of the jade chamber as a tool to oversee everything in liyue. similarly, celestia accomplishes the same thing, keeping an eye on the whole of teyvat. if you keep this in mind, the dialogue from danslief in the travail trailer seems to make sense.

MLP:FIM Theory: Green Element of Harmony
A theory created by DRWolf001, suggesting that there is a hidden 7th Element of Harmony that is Scorpan/Spike's.
Watch his videos before reading this.
~~~
Scorpan's Past
Canon: Tirek and his younger brother Scorpan first traveled to Equestria in the hopes of conquering it. Scorpan fell in love with the ponies and they're way of life, and became friends with Star Swirl swirl the Bearded.
Tumblr media
Speculation: Scorpan finds Spike's dragon egg by itself just on the outskirts of the pony nation, and he decides to keep it.
Reasoning: Scorpan finding Spike and bringing him to the ponies is a reference to their G1 counterparts, where a similar thing took place.
Tumblr media
Canon: In Princess Celestia's narration, she says Scorpan went back to his homeland after Tirek's imprisonment.
Speculation: Instead of him immediately leaving after Tirek's imprisonment, in actuality he stayed in Equestria for some years.
After Stygian brought the Pillars together to defeat the Sirens, Scorpan became friends with them too.
Canon: When Stygian turned into the Pony of Shadows, the Pillars create the seed that would grow into the Tree of Harmony by fusing their magic into it.
Speculation: Scorpan was the one who inspired Star Swirl the Bearded to create the Seed. During the spell, Scorpan was in the room with the Pillars, so his magic unintentionally was added to the spell.
After the Pillars sacrifice themselves to defeat the Pony of Shadows, Scorpan decides to go back home.
Where did his element go?
Speculation: Before Celestia and Luna used the Elements to defeat Discord, Scorpan had returned to Equestria to see if the Tree had grown. He finds the Elements and removes the branch containing his Element. The branch he took is turned into the Staff of Sacanas after he removed the gem within it.
Reasoning: This is based on an unused concept for the movie, which would've shown that Scorpan was the original owner of the Staff of Sacanas before the Storm King stole it from him, and that the Staff was made from a branch of the Tree of Harmony.
Tumblr media
Because his Element wasn't originally a part of the spell, the other 6 Elements work completely fine without it. However, with the combined power of all 7 Elements, they can do much more.
Scorpan and Spike
The Mane Six each share elements with the Pillars of Equestria. Spike and Scorpan are not only connected by the past, but share similarities with each other as well:
Scorpan was Star Swirl's first and closest friend, and Spike is Twilight's first and closest (non-blood related) friend.
Scorpan is the only non-pony member of his group of friends, and Spike is the same.
Scorpan is friendly to ponies, appreciates their way of life, and enjoys living with them, just like Spike.
Castle of Friendship
The Castle of Friendship was formed from the Chest of Harmony, which served as the seed that planted it. The Chest itself was a sprout from the Tree of Harmony.
When the Castle formed, it created a 7th chair for Spike, which it technically didn't need to do if he wasn't connected to the Tree of Harmony in the same way the Mane 6 ponies were. Spike's chair is closer to Twilight's.
Although, it's possible that since the Tree is somewhat self aware, it knew Spike was Twilight's assistant/best friend, and lived in the Castle as well, so that's why it created a 7th chair for him, closer to Twilight's.
Tumblr media
Unknown Green Element of Harmony
Throughout the franchise, when images of the Elements of Harmony are shown both within the show or other material, sometimes a green element is shown, usually in the place of a different Element:
Tumblr media
It could simply be an error.
However, there are some cases where the green element is shown with the other 6 Elements:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Each Element's color represents a part of the character's design that shares the same color:
Magenta: Twilight's cutie mark color
Orange: Applejack's coat color
Red: Part of Rainbow's mane and cutie mark color
Purple: Rarity's mane color
Pink: Fluttershy's mane and cutie mark color
Blue: Pinkie's eye and cutie mark color
Green: Spike's eye and spine color
Element Chart
Star Swirl the Bearded = Sorcery | Twilight Sparkle = Magic
Rockhoof = Strength | Applejack = Honesty
Flash Magnus = Bravery | Rainbow Dash = Loyalty
Mistmane = Beauty | Rarity = Generosity
Mage Meadowbrooke = Healing | Fluttershy = Kindness
Somnambula = Hope | Pinkie Pie = Laughter
Scorpan = Respect | Spike = Acceptance
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BTW, Sunset Shimmer's Element is Empathy!
? = ? | Sunset Shimmer = Empathy
Stygian is meant to be Starlight Glimmer's parallel, so those two aren't Elements.
~~~
There is a lot of glaring evidence here to suggest that this theory could be true. So much so, it makes me wonder if it's actually what they were foreshadowing and building up to... until Hasbro had them do the School of Friendship storyline instead.
The storyline for Season 8 would've been completely different, it instead being a continuation of setting up the Pillars in Season 7.

Since it's been confirmed that the archons don't distribute visions, I bet that Celestia gives the most visions of a certain element to the archon they suspect is going to need replacement the most.
How many people have visions that don't even care for them? There are a lot of pyro characters, and Dain said in the Teyvat Storyline chapter preview that the pyro archon plans to share a secret of war to the traveler. That quest will be called Incandescent Ode of Resurrection, and so I'm curious. There are an increasing number of anemo and geo users, since the anemo and geo archons have lost their celestial gift. (Even tho Venti continues to act in place of the anemo archon.) There were many electro users, but since Ei came out and started interacting again in an archon capacity, there haven't been many electro allogene introductions. Fountaine has been struggling since the beginning of the game with the waters pollution, the energy resources being wasted, and the people are frantically trying to make the city run. There has been three new hydro characters this year, Kamisato Ayato, Nilou, and Candace.
OBVIOUSLY I understand that the characters released and shown are done for a gameplay +profit-centric perspective, but in game, isn't it curious?
