yu junghyeok and prince cedric have like practically the same design (+v similar personality) but listen the Vibes they have r diff... idk if this makes sense but u know charas w tired dilf energy... YJH has that but not cedric.. hes like a baby.. the way I describe it is YJH is babygirl but cedric is just my baby🫂🔥🔥🔥*gets incinerated* SKJDJ idk if it's noticeable at all but I try to capture diff vibes when I draw them....
when i draw cedric i try to go full shoujo... he is a romance novel male lead... sparkly eyes bright colors 90s anime blush... goes full squish mode when drawing him chibi MFNSKJ🤭
but when i draw yjh im like... no i have to convey the Angst and Depression.... *gives him dark circles and takes the light from his eyes*😇🖤
idk if it's noticeable but I also try to differentiate their designs in subtle ways (besides eye color etc),,, I give them diff eyebrow shapes!! I like YJH with triangle brows(thicker at the ends) and cedric w tapered brows(thicker toward the middle) like the webtoon... I also try to make cedric's hair a bit curlier than YJH🥹
#cedric riester#yoo joonghyuk#yu junghyeok#TWSB#orv#re: i have to convey the Angst and Depression.... *gives him dark circles and takes the light from his eyes*#<-- this is also my approach to drawing dark choco cookie KJDKSSJ#not that cedric isnt also angsty and depressed but... he hasnt been thru the Time Loops™️😔#and besides... he has his own emotional support prince jesse(yeseo)😇#to help him sleep better at night... whens the last time yjh had a good nights sleep... he was a gamer before this too🤧#yjh may be my pookie but the sheer weight of his chara holds me back from woobifying him completely...#maybe one day tho KJFKSJ#i think those squishy black eyed chibis r just as cute tho🤭#Still need to draw both of them more...#yjh is my bias btwn them but cedric is more fun to draw for me smfbdm at least rn#AND ITS BC OF THESE REASONS!!! LIKE I GET to go full shoujo and squishy blorbo w ced#and sparkly and blushy#but i cant do that w yjh it'd be too jarring skfjsndb#THEYRE BOTH EQUALLY CUTE TO ME BTW... but since i love both... i dont want to draw them exactly the same...#and like i said it'd clash tonally too much if i drew him like a romance novel male lead (even tho hes just as handsome as one)#I NEED TO READ THE ORV NOVEL#btw for me yjh owns this archetype... the yjh archetype... 🤧#but cedric is a cute variation bc of his orange eyes and curlier hair... 🤭 his fanta eyes make him stand out#from the other yjh wannabes (shoving jumin han into a locker) im jk#me @ every chara who looks like him: 🫵u will never be YJH /j#/jjjjj#ced is the exception... i immediately liked him BC he reminded me of yjh... there r enough fun diffs too#what on earth compelled me to ramble this much#my art

The only thing worse as a ✨💅chronically ill girlie💅✨ than being sick, is realizing you’re getting sick. No, this isn’t just allergies or a teeny cold or your period coming early like you’ve been trying to gaslight yourself into believing. This is a virus, and it’s about to get much worse.
And unlike most people with healthy bodies, you’re not going to be miserable for a couple of days but eventually fight it off. Your body is going to shut down. You are going to be in danger—go to the ER, be closely monitored, hooked up to dozens of machines and be drugged with dozens of medicines that trigger weird as fuck side effects danger.
And your usual symptoms related to your chronic illness, the debilitating ones that leave you in constant pain and fatigue, and render you a barely (if at all) functioning human being? Yeah those are about to get a hundred times worse. And they’ll distract the doctors because either
1️⃣ the doctors won’t believe you’re chronically ill (I can’t tell you how many times ER doctors have told me I can’t possibly have my ⁉️DIAGNOSED VIA DNA TEST⁉️ illness because “you’re only in your twenties, sweetie. it’s probably hormones or anxiety. 😘”) but still be concerned over these symptoms that aren’t related to your virus, and go down some rabbit hole, trying to treat the symptoms of your incurable chronic illness and ignore your current sickness you need immediate care for
or 2️⃣ tell you you’re not sick at all, and it’s probably a really bad flair up of your usual chronic illness (until of course the tests come back showing you’re positive for whatever it is this time, and then you’re back to option watered down version of the first option)
Oh, and insurance can only cover a teensy amount of the bill, so enjoy being thousands of dollars in debt 🤪.
I have never gotten a cold or flu or covid before and not been sent to the hospital by my PC or urgent care. On average, I am severely sick for at least two weeks, lose about ten pounds, and have a two to three month recovery period. This doesn’t include if there’s any additional complications like blood clots or muscle atrophy from being bed ridden.
Anyway, guess who just tested positive for the flu 😷♥️♥️🤣💅💅💅🫶💋

「 LEARNED FROM THE MOVIES ! 」 . . . 📂
harry potter : cedric diggory
wrd count : 3.4k
⊹˚.⋆ synopsis . . . cedric is hopefully in love with [name], but had been rejected time and time again. when he learns the rom com way (rizz) to winning a person’s heart, he tries it on [name]
⊹˚.⋆ starring . . . cedric diggory & male reader
It was hopeless.
That was what Cedric repeated to himself as he laid in the mess he called a bed. It seemed that every time he tried to woo you over, you rejected him! His advances always fell flat no matter how hard he tried.
His countless confessions always ended up with you giving him an awkward smile and saying later; although, by now he knew later would never come.
A frown scorned his face at the sound of the dorm's door creaking open. Cedric turned away from the soft light that poured through the door. He didn't want anyone seeing him; the hero of hufflepuff, so defeated.
"Cedric?" The familiar, feminine tilt of the voice made Cedric turn over to see who was asking for him. There stood Cho Chang; her scarf wrapped around her neck snug with a concerned expression decorating her face.
Cedric knew why she was here, but he couldn't even bother saying anything to the girl. He was hurting too much.
Small steps rang out as they got closer to Cedric's bed until they eventually stopped. A small, gentle hand placed itself on Cedric's shoulder, "Cedric?" Cho's voice was comforting and Cedric finally looked her in the eye; eyes rimmed red.
"Oh, Cedric," Cho cooed. She had never seen Cedric so hurt, but so many rejections do take it's toll at one point. Cedric was her best friend, and to see him so depressed made her heart swell in pity. "It'll be okay. If [Name] can't see that you're an amazing guy; he's dumb.
“Besides, there's ton of other fish in the sea," Cho flashed the heartbroken boy a smile to try to cheer him up, but Cedric's frown deepened.
Cedric sat up from his laid out position, brushing Cho's hand off his shoulder, "I don't want anyone else, Cho. I love him!" Cedric ran his fingers through his mop of brunette locks, "I need him to accept my feelings. I can't live without him."
Cho nodded as she processed Cedric's words.
She knew that he wouldn't accept any other propositions about what to do if it didn't end up with you in his arms. With a purse of her lips, an idea hit her. You loved rom coms! It seemed every other week you would be watching some type of muggle rom com with a love struck look in your eyes in the Ravenclaw common room.
All she needed to do now was to teach Cedric about these romance movies, so he could learn the techniques the male leads used that won your heart!
With an ambitious glint in her dark eyes, Cho took Cedric's hands and dragged him up, ready to show him the way to your heart. As the two stormed off to the Ravenclaw dorm, preparing to go through your DVD collection, they ran into the source of this adventure; you.
Your hands planted against Cedric's chest, balancing yourself before recollecting your composure and observing the two. Cho's hair has developed a bit of frizz, and the usual perfect placement of Cedric's hair was all over the place.
"Cedric! Cho! What are you two doing?" You asked as you awkwardly moved your hands away from Cedric's hard chest to your sides.
Cedric's eyes danced your face, taking in your breathtaking features as his perfect, pink lips spread open in response; leaving his lips agape with no words leaving his mouth. You had that charming yet awkward smile that usually occupied your face, and Cedric's mind had drawn a blank on the excuse he had thought of.
In luck, Cho was able to cover for Cedric who was staring at you, gaping like a fish, "We were actually looking for you!" A grimace placed itself on your face as you remembered how a few hours earlier you had rejected Cedric, and figured that that was the reason they wanted to see you. You turned to the boy with an apologetic expression, "I'm really sorry about earlier. We're good, right?" Cedric nodded dumbly before Cho cut into the conversation,
"Actually, Cedric, here is taking muggle studies, and he is doing a project on muggle movies! I always see you watching them in the common room and thought you might help him!"
Oh!" You rubbed the back of your neck awkwardly, "Well, I feel kinda stupid now, but, yeah, I can let you borrow some of my movies." You began to waltz off to the dorm as Cho gave Cedric a first pump from behind your back.
Cedric didn't return the enthusiasm; his attention being transfixed on the warmth your hands had left on his robes from the two of you running into each other.
The Ravenclaw dorm hadn't changed from the last time Cedric went in there to hang out with Cho. Everything had stayed the same. Cedric inhaled; getting wafted by the smell of candles, books, and ink. It smelt like you. You disappeared into the boy's dorm before coming out will a tall, leaning stack of DVDs. As you stepped forward toward the pair, the DVDS wobbled, and Cedric rushed to catch them. The tip of his fingers brushed against yours as they leaned against his chest. He sent you a cheesy smile, "That was a close one."
You nodded in agreement and moved to set the stack of movies on the tabletop. Cedric dawned a small frown at the feeling of your fingers leaving his, but quickly covered it when you turned back around to the two, "Well, here's my collection! What kind of movies are you looking for?”
Cedric stayed silent until Cho elbowed him, "Ow!" He gritted his teeth as he held his hip in pain, "Uh, Romance movies?"
Your eyes practically sparkled at the mention as you smiled like a just won the lottery and quickly sprung into a ramble, “I love romance movies! Everybody makes fun of me for liking them as much as I do with me being a guy and all, but who says guys can't like romance movies? They're always like, 'That's gay; and I'm like, 'Guess what? I am, so fuck off; but still, it is so exhausting." The glow in your eyes died down as you remembered the interaction which Cedric took immediate notice to. He placed his hand on your shoulder in an attempt to comfort you, "Well, if you ever want some company or someone to talk to about romance movies; l'm here."
Your eyes softened and the sparkle in your eye came back. You couldn't help but feel bad for never giving Cedric a chance. Sure, he was every students' dream guy with his tall, muscular body, dreamy eyes, and perfect, honeycomb eyes, but you didn't know him enough to ever consider him as a romantic option. The voice in your head that had so far been screaming at you to get away from Cedric was quiet, and you couldn't help but start to understand why everyone loved Cedric.
Cho stood to the side as she watched the two of you gaze into each others eyes like the other had hung the moon and smiled to herself. Her job here was down, and she turned away with lithe steps in the direction of the girls dorm room; planning to tell all her friends about her matchmaker activities with Hufflepuffs' golden boy and Ravenclaws' certified filmbro.
Cedric caught Cho's departure in his peripheral vision and tried to fight the urge drag her back.
What kind of wingwoman ditches mid-seduction? Your gaze followed to where Cedric's was glaring at and found that Cho had left, "Oh, Cho left. Did she have to go somewhere?"
Cedric forced a smile as he cursed at Cho internally, "Yeah, had a... thing to do in the library." You nodded and turned to your pile, trying to brush off the feelings that had overcame you while looking in Cedric's eyes.
Said boy was peering over your shoulder as you separated the movies into two piles. His brows furrowed trying to figure out how you were deciding which one you were giving him, and how he would manage to make you fall for him with them. He tapped your shoulder, "How are you separating them?"
"I'm giving you my favorite romance movies," you pointed at the huge stack, "That's all of my movies including the ones l'm giving you, so I gotta sort them out." Cedric nodded his head but wanted to keep talking to you, "Which ones are your favorites? I want to hear your thoughts on them for my project." He would pat himself on the shoulder if he could. That was one good lie.
You could feel yourself about to spring off into a ramble and scolded yourself internally. Most people shunned you for your rambles, but for some reason you couldn’t quite place, you felt comfortable enough with Cedric to let go of your embarrassment about rambling, “Well, that’s a tough question,” you chuckled nervously, “I would say 10 Things I Hate About You, The Notebook, and Flipped.”
Your fingers clenched the new found DVD of 10 Things I Hate About You, “This one is just so fun to watch, you know? My favorite scene is when the main guy, Patrick, is singing infront of everyone during her soccer practice just to apologize to her. It’s so sweet.”
Cedric felt himself fall for you even more as your eyes glowed with love, “That’s what I love about romance movies! The guys are always so devoted to proving their love. In The Notebook, he writes her a love letter everyday for a year.”
You spun around back to your collection, scouring for the other two movies. Your hand grasped the DVD for Flipped and you handed it to Cedric, “In this one, he plants a tree for her because the one she loved got cut down.” Your hands filtered through the pile as you searched for The Notebook before finally finding it, “Well, that’s all of them. I hope your project does well.”
Cedric traced the spine of the movies as he nodded nervously but with a goal set in place in his heart. If he could show you that he loved you by doing those things, you might just finally accept his feelings. He gave you a quick, "Thank you" before leaving you and preparing for the journey up ahead.
╰┈➤
It had taken a few try's but Cedric had figured out how to play the movies you had given him. He sat in-front of the movie that was starting with a journal and pencil in hand. The first movie was, The Notebook; and Cedric was ultra-focused on it. He remembered how you spoke so highly of the letters Noah had written Allie, and looked at the crisp, lined-sheet of paper. The quill that rested in between his fingers felt like a testament to his love for you. All he had to do know was write you something that would take your breath away.
Cedric's quill danced along the paper in swirls and loops as cursive took over the page. He wanted to make the letter look nice for you. His fingers were clenching the quill so hard to the point pain shot out of his finger tips. Cedric ignored the pain in his fingers as his letter neared to an end.
Cedric's fingers burned red as he dropped the quill onto his bed. His eyes scanned the now finished letter over and over; trying to guarantee it was perfect before he sent it off to you. With a pleased smile, Cedric set off to the owlery for you to open the letter tomorrow during breakfast.
And before he knew it, breakfast had arrived.
Cedric's eyes were latched onto you as he played around with the food on his plate anxiously. Cho sat next to you, sparing glances at Cedric every so often. Cedric had told Cho about what would happen during breakfast, and she was scouting your reaction for him.
The owls swept into the dining hall in unison, and Cedric felt his chest swell with anxiety. It wasn't exactly anonymous with the timing of it all, and knowing your brains, it wouldn't be difficult for you to figure out it was Cedric who wrote the letter; in fact, it wouldn't be difficult at all.
Your owl dropped the rolled up piece of paper onto your empty plate as it flew over your head.
Cedric had tied the paper together with a [favorite color] ribbon for more appeal, and so he could pin point that it was his letter you were opening.
He watched as your fingers delicately untied the ribbon. The letter unraveled and you began to read the heartfelt words pour out onto the paper:
"Dear [Name],
There are many things I would like to say to you, but there's only so much room on a piece of paper. That doesn't mean I didn't try though!
You are everything I have ever wanted and so much more.
Whether it's your smile or your sense of humor or your desire to please everyone around you; you have made me fall for you. And trust me when I say; I fell hard.
I didn't know what loving someone meant until I met you. I've had crushes in the past, but none of them have made me feel the way you do. You make me feel like I'm the greatest wizard in the world, and I will never be able to thank you enough for that.
I'm running out of paper, so l'll make this quick:
I love you.
Always yours..
Your eyes lifted off the paper and flickered to where Cedric sat. It was a quick glance, but it made Cedric's heart race in an emotion between hopefulness and nervousness he couldn't quite discern.
Cho's squeals rang in your ears as your mind raced. Of course you knew it was Cedric who had written the letter. The timing couldn't have been a coincidence, yet that feeling of refusal that usually swept through you when Cedric made his advances wasn't there this time. It shocked you, but you couldn't ignore the blossoming feeling in your heart.
You were falling for Cedric Diggory.
Your eyes flickered back to where the boy sat at the Hufflepuff table. Cedric was gazing at you with that look in his eyes he usually held when he confessed his feelings for you, and you couldn't help the soft, tight lipped smile that stretched across your face at the sight.
If this meant what you thought it did than you were more than enthusiastic for what was to come.
╰┈➤
Game day was always nerve-wracking for Cedric. The whole of Hufflepuff depended on him to make them proud, but today only one person's opinion mattered to him; yours.
The second movie you had given him was 10 Things I Hate About You, and now it was time for him to recreate the iconic scene you said you loved.
The mic shook in his hand as he waltzed out onto the stands. Everyone was there with rumors spreading about Cedric doing something special, and Cho had guaranteed you were there too. With a shaky breath, Cedric walked out onto the stadium as the steady instrumental of 'Can't Take My Eyes Off of You' began to play.
He closed his eyes as the words of the song poured out of his mouth. Cedric was by no means a good singer, but if this is what it took to get you in his arms, he would sing for the rest of his life. Cheers followed his movements as he pointed at where you sat. You were covering your face with your hand, but your eyes were crinkled in joy.
The words flowed out easier as Cedric's eyes stayed focused on you instead of the hoard of students watching him. His movements became more relaxed as he danced around on the stadium's seats before sitting among the crowds as the chorus came to an end. Cheers drowned out the stadium hurting both your and Cedric's ears. Cho pushed your hand away from your face revealing the big toothy grin that had taken over the lower half of your face. It was the happiest Cedric had ever seen you before and he mirrored your smile.
Teachers were rushing toward where Cedric sat amongst the crowd, but he could've cared less for the scowls on their faces and the strides they took toward him. Stage 2 was a success, and Cedric couldn't help the tsunami of hope washing over him that after stage 3, you would finally be his boyfriend after all these years of trying.
Unbeknownst to Cedric, his hope wasn't too far off. The letters he had been sending you since that day in the great hall sat under your bed in a beautifully decorated box you had made specifically for them, and your face held a certain warmth as you watched the teachers pull the boy by his arms away from the crowd.
You were in love with Cedric Diggory.
╰┈➤
The wind blew in your hair as you stood in the middle of the green, newly-cut grass field behind Hogwarts. In the letter you had been given today from a certain Hufflepuff boy, a riddle had directed you to where you now stood. Suspicions of what could be going on had racked your brain since you received today's letter from Cedric. The third movie you had given Cedric was Flipped, and if he continued his current pattern, he would be planting a tree right here for you.
Your fingers twitched against your leg as you searched the area for Cedric. You considered yourself a patient person, but at the moment, all the patience you once had was gone.
To your relief, Cedric was walking toward you; his fist clenched by his side. A seed rested in his palm. He had taken the proper precautions for planting the seed earlier before your letter was delivered, and now was the time.
The sound of footsteps coming toward you caused you to turn around. Cedric walked toward you as you waved at him with a dorky smile, "Hi."
"Hi." Cedric cleared his throat awkwardly, catching your attention, "| guess you already know why I'm here, but, uh, here I am anyways.
And I'm sure you already know what is going on His voice shook as he continued, "I have loved you since the moment I saw you, and I know you wouldn't let me show it, but I couldn't let that stop me. I know that in the past you've rejected me and you might now, but I need to do this."
You nodded as Cedric opened his fist to reveal the dark, small seed that rested against his palm, "| want to be with you. I want to keep writing love letters to you, and doing embarrassing things just to make you smile even if it means I get detention. If- if you'd like that, please take this seed."
Your eyes fell onto the seed as your hand reached out to take it, “I'd like that. I'd like that a a lot actually.” You took the seed out of his hand; examining it, "I must say, Diggory, you really know how to win a guy's heart."
Cedric laughed as he took you in his arms relief taking over him, "I learned from the best."
"True." you added with a small giggle, "I do want my movies back though."
"No way." Cedric joked as he shook his head, "| like them too much now to give them back."
"Don't press your luck, Diggory. l've rejected you before, and I can reject you again" You playfully glared at the boy who was just grinning at you as giddy as ever, "Okay! Fine! We can share."
Cedric smiled against the top of your head as daydreams of laying with you took over his mind while the two of you watched one of your many rom coms.
"We really should plant this tree now." you whispered.
"Yeah, we should"
The two of you separated away from the hug as you bent down to the freshly dug hole in the ground. Cedric's hand cupped yours as you placed the seed into the hole, his fingers interlocking with yours, "I love you"
"I love you too."
Cedric couldn't help but kiss you like he had dreamed of doing all these years. It was as heavenly as he had imagined, and couldn't help but thank the movies that had helped him win you over and into his arms.

Hi, can we have cedric admiring the outwardly tough but secretly shy gryffindor reader from afar when he and the other quidditch teams (mostly the class of 1995 of all four house like Fred and George, Katie Bell, Lee Jordan and all other house students which unfortunately I don't have any ideas 😅) notice that Harry, Hermione, Ron and Draco instantly freeze in front of her (at this time, Harry and Ron reconcile early, Ron is not jealous of Harry but angry for someone trying to get his best friend killed, and that Harry's 'this is my fate' feelings just somewhat anger him) (yeah, they're childish friends who get mad at each other instead of finding ways) (Also, can I pretty please have Harry x Hermione, Draco x Ron dating? It's okay if no👌) when she shut them down with her glares, before give them each a poke on heads and immediately hide her face in depressing as the four of them trying to assure her that no one will ever find out (after learning that the boys let Hermione to trap Rita Seeker in jar), and, although cedric can't quite catch up of what they're talking about, he's amused that he is able to see so much expression on reader for the first time~
𝕮𝖊𝖉𝖗𝖎𝖈 𝕯𝖎𝖌𝖌𝖔𝖗𝖞
Pookie, I have no idea what your asking for. My brain is a bit slow today so i'm just gonna have Ced admiring you being you???
"What do you mean!" Cedric hears your voice bellow from the other side of the room, instantly drawing his attention as well as that of several others. Though his is the only one to stay.
His gaze locks on you, wandering down for a moment to that yellow scarf of his, now somehow around your neck. Though your volume may have decreased monumentally from what it was before, Cedric still finds it in him to know your every expression. The way your jaw drops lower than the black lake, and your eyes widen as if you had just seen a Thestral. The way your eyebrows scrunch in utter confusion as whatever nonsense Ron had just told you.
And judging from how you seem to be restraining yourself from smacking the poor ginger, it was either incredibly stupid or incredibly catty. Perhaps a mixture of the two. Either way, Cedric continues to watch you, his lovely partner who is not at all overdramatic ever. He watches as you pinch the bridge of your nose and squat down in utter disbelief. He also watches you shoot back up, hands thrown up in exasperation as you walk away before Ron can even finish his mini monologue.
And later in his dorm room, he watches as you sleep on his chest, having tired yourself out by filling him in on all of the commotion. He follows the pattern of your breathing, so calm and deep and in sync with his, and thinks about how one day he'll get to watch you walk down the isle.

Starbite!!!
a small timeline :3 (little note all of the characters i made for Stars world are inspired by people I meet irl in someway. also her friend group was made with the thought of a group the afd (far right party) would hate so pretty much all the cool people :>)
Starbite was bitten at 14 (2019) with her friend Moonbite aka Malik Schäfer (made by plushjio_ over on insta) Also sort of tw: there is some sexual stuff mentioned bute never detail, mention of grooming and depression
being raised in Germany and still somewhat being naive kids they decided to join the police. Since Moons father was a cop and he teen boy was rather close to Sam a cop in training. This didnt last long however since through carelessness of the cops her aunt may died leaving her an orphan.
She moved in with Moon and his older brother Fabio. To said point Star realised just how corrupt the system is and radicalized going down the left pipeline. This resulted in the birth of Moonbite and Starbite or by the news Mondbiss und Sternenbiss.
(2020) But with Moon and Star running around that clearly had a distaste for the police they were quickly demonized by the Bild (a german newspaper which is known for their right leaning news) Sam who at that point reached the captain status felt personally hurt by them leaving and made it his mission to track them down. He did find out about about their personalities and nearly killed them. Luckly moon was able to "finish him off"
After that they were now seen in a even worse light. Yet distractions were great as Star got closer to a former villain aka Black cat (16 years old), to make it quick they have very homoeotic tendencies Which is also the start of Star learning how to cope badly but more to that later. (here is some art of her)
However star had to face a new Villain Doc Ock a 23 year old scientist who wanted to know more about Moon and hers biology. (He sort of represents the group of young poc guys who vote the afd aka her universes biggest hypocrite.)
(2021) Moon stopped working as much since unlike Star focused more on school. Which lead to a few horrible incidence with Doc Ock where Star only barley came out alive. He also realised that she is stronger than him and needs to find another way to experiment on her. So while she is over worked he would "help" her and slowly trying to win the girls trust. Troubled by how the right gained more popularity she was to stressed to actually learn for her final exams and failed them. Leaving her with a relatively bad graduation. That didnt stop her and Moon however from stealing a BMW E 30 for Moon which later on became his "work car" (dont ask me his creator is a car person) With the old motorbike from Black cat they would go to abandoned part of town and race. Which started the unhealthy coping for Star to get some control in her life. As at that point is very aware that she is a su~!ced bomb. In the summer of 2021 the two were also introduced to the Multiverse as they had a mysterio running around. From there they meet Hobie and later on gwen and quickly finding themself become friends. Hanging out more and more with him. Listen they might had smth going on cus who doesnt love hobie.
I must admit 2022 was defienlty the start of as plushjito put it their hoe era.
In said year Moon and Void (my other friends spidersona iust.numen on insta) were sent on a mission by Miguel which was nerve wrecking for star and moon since they always worked together and this was the first time they were separated. Which turned out it was since moon and void got captured and Moon was experimented on. As that universes Dr. Curtis used dino genes and cat genes (imma post about it later more info) which lead to him growing a tail and cat ears. (100% not cus i first designed him as a human and while plushjito is furry artist bahh naaa)
Anyways to the same time Star started mutating too seemingly on her own. (She was always suppose to mutate more through Doc Ock but that changed since the multiverse stuff blocked that from happing) Unlike moon she grew another set of arms and eyes.
It sort of turned her more into a spider? she got very good eyesight being able to use the lower once at night. her nails became stronger making great claws. Growing Fangs that produce poison that attacks the nervous system. (Also silly fact while ovulating after the deed gets the urge to eat her partners which lead in blood drinking)
After the mutaion Gwen, Hobie and Moons older brother helped take care of them. As moon rapidly grew depressed as he was a very extroverted person who liked to party which now seemed impossible. Star forced herself to come to terms with it as she felt like people needed her more. This is were her prioritizing work over her health started to get bad. As now she was even further removed for Sophia and only associated herself with Star leading her to forget who Sophia was or that it was once her.
There also go any job offers now! They already didnt get a Job other than small stuff.
(the art is iust.numen! check out their insta their art is amazing!!!!)) their so silly i love them!!!!
Anyways imma make another post soon. Again thank you sooo much for reading or just looking at the art<33

"𝕸𝖆𝖞 𝕴 𝖍𝖆𝖛𝖊 your attention." Snape said coolly at the end of a potions lesson. He looked extremely bitter. I assumed that whatever it was, he didn't actually want to tell us. All the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws stared at him expectantly.
His mouth was set in a grimace. "It is my unfortunate duty to educate you on an event that is happening on Christmas. The Yule Ball." Some of the girls giggled and he glared in their direction. "The Yule Ball is a traditional part of the Triwizard Tournament- unfortunately- and will be open to fourth years and above. However, you may invite a younger student if that suits you."
The girls, despite his glares, giggled again. I grinned, my cheeks red. "Dress Robes are to be worn and the ball will start at eight o'clock and end at midnight in the Great Hall. Now get out."
The Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws sprang up and dashed for the door, the girls are congregating in the hallways to laugh and talk about whatever they were talking about. I rolled my eyes and got up much slower, stuffing my textbook in my bag.
"Who are you going with?" Snape asked from behind his desk, not looking at me, "I'm sure you've foreseen it."
I paused, "No, I haven't actually. It's not Fred- He's going with Angelina Johnson. Ced's going with Cho. Harry's going with Parvati, Ron's going with Padma, and Viktor Krum is going with Hermione. So that doesn't leave much for me. I'm thinking about not going."
Professor Snape scoffed, throwing a stack of parchment in the trash. "Yes because I'm sure only five boys like you in the entire school."
"I'm just saying I don't foresee me going with anyone." I paused and then in a teasing voice I asked, "Who are you going with? Professor McGonagall?"
"Funny." he said, sitting down behind the desk. "Get out."
"Yes sir." I said sweetly, and smiling, left the room.
💙💙💙💙
𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖎𝖗𝖊 𝖈𝖆𝖘𝖙𝖑𝖊 seemed filled more with girls than with boys by the time Christmas break started. I wondered if the boys had all escaped, or if it just seemed like there were more girls because I was hoping a guy would ask me.
Against my visions, Fred and Cedric asked me first and I told them who I'd foreseen them going with without even saying yes or no. They accepted my visions however and they both decided they would go with Angelina and Cho, respectively.
I was anxious again. Another mark against my visions. I was also sad, wishing that I had accepted one of their offers, despite my visions.
Hannah Abbott was going with Ernie Macmillan of course. They'd been dating for a couple of weeks. Susan was going with Zacharias. Seamus was going with Lavender. I wondered briefly who Dean was going with- or if he was going at all.
Harry and Ron approached me as the weeks continued. Harry still hadn't asked Cho and Ron hadn't asked anyone yet either.
"Look." I said, running my hand through my hair. "Here's the thing. Harry, you're going to ask Cho. Ron your going to ask Fleur Delacour. I'll meet you back at the Gryffindor common room tonight."
And so, later tonight, I waited a the portrait when Ron came tearing up the stairs, Ginny coming after him. "Why'd you make me ask her?" Ron asked, ashen face. I stared back, unamused.
"Fairy lights." Ginny said and I followed them in. Ron made his way to a far corner. Ginny was trying not to smile.
A moment later, Harry came up, looking equally depressed.
"What's up Ron?" Harry asked, not looking at me as he joined us.
"Why did I do it? I don't know what made me do it!" He said wildly, throwing me a glare.
"What?" Harry asked.
"He-er- just asked Fleur Delacour to go to the ball with him." Ginny said, still fighting her smile, patting Ron's arm sympathetically.
"Oh." Harry asked, briefly looking at my stony face.
"I don't know what made me do it! I mean, I knew I was going to but still! There were people- all around- I've gone mad- everyone watching! I was just walking past her in the entrance hall- she was standing there talking to Diggory- and it sort of came over me- and I asked her."
"Well, he sort've yelled it at her." Ginny said, her smile fighting to the surface of her face.
Ron put his face in his hands, groaning and said, almost incoherently, "She looked at me like I was a sea slug or something. Didn't even answer. And then- I dunno- I just sort of came to my senses and ran for it."
"She's part veela. You were right- her grandmother was one. It wasn't your fault, I bet you just walked past when she was turning on the old charm for Diggory and got a blast of it- but she was wasting her time. He's going with Cho Chang. I asked her to go with me just now, and she told me." Harry finished dully.
Ginny stopped smiling.
Ron glared at me. "This is mad, We're the only ones left who haven't got anyone- well except Neville. Hey- guess who he asked? Hermione!"
"What?" Harry asked, distracted and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, I know! He told me after Potions! Said she's always been really nice, helping him out with work and stuff- but she told him she was already going with someone. Ha! As if! She just didn't want to go with Neville. . . I mean, who would?"
"Shut up!" I snapped so sharply they stopped laughing. "Ginny's going with Neville."
Hermione came through the portrait at that moment. "Why weren't you two at dinner?" she asked, joining us.
"Because they've both just been turned down by girls they asked to the ball!" Ginny said angrily.
"Thanks a bunch Ginny." Ron said sourly.
"All the good-looking ones taken, Ron?" Hermione said loftily. "Eloise Migden, starting to look quite pretty now, is she? Well, I'm sure you'll find someone somewhere who'll have you."
I laughed.
"Hermione, Neville's right- you are a girl." Ron said, staring at her suddenly.
I stopped laughing.
"Oh well spotted."
"Well- you can come with one of us!"
"No, I can't." She snapped.
"Oh come on, we need partners, we're going to look really stupid if we haven't got any, everyone else has." Ron said impatiently but Hermione interrupted him.
"I can't come with you, because I'm already going with someone." Hermione said, blushing.
"No, you're not! You just said that to get rid of Neville!" Ron said.
"Oh did I?" Hermione asked, her eyes narrowing and flashing and she had a hard edge in her voice, "Just because it's taken you three years to notice, Ron, doesn't mean no one else has spotted I'm a girl!" She stormed off toward the girls' dormitories.
"She's lying." Ron said flatly.
"No she's not." I said angrily.
"Who is it then?" Ron asked sharply.
"I'm not telling you, it's her business."
"Ginny you can go with Harry-" Ron started and I growled, rolling my eyes.
"I can't." Ginny said, blushing too. "Didn't you hear Eliza? I'm going with Neville. He asked me after Hermione turned him down and it wasn't like I could go anyways since I'm not a fourth year. I think I'll go have dinner." she said abruptly, getting up and leaving.
"What's got into them?" Ron asked.
"Hermione wanted you to ask her but someone asked her first and she said yes." I said flatly. "Ginny wanted Harry to ask her but he's got his eye on Cho and Ginny's got enough dignity not to ask."
"What about you?" Ron asked. "Who are you going with? I heard you turned down Fred and Cedric."
"Yeah, I did." I said sharply. "Because I saw Fred going with Angelina and saw Cedric going with Cho. I don't interfere with the future."
"Then who are we going with? And why did you tell us who we were going to ask if we weren't going with them?" Harry asked.
"Because it's important that Cho knows you like her, despite the fact she won't be going with you. And Ron was going to do it whether I told you or not. And you, Harry are going to go over there and ask Parvati right now. Ron, you are technically going to go with Padma, but considering you'll be in such a terrible mood at the ball and won't even dance with her, it'd probably be better you don't go with anyone. If you are going to ask them though." I said, glaring at them angrily. "IF, you do ask them, you'd better dance with them, do you understand me? Girls hate not dancing."
Harry and Ron looked at each other and both of them nodded. "Here comes Parvati." I muttered. Parvati and Lavender had just entered the common room. Harry got up and went over and said, "Parvati? Will you go to the ball with me?"
Parvati giggled, blushing under her dark skin and then said, "Yes, all right, then." She said.
"Thanks." Harry said in relief. "Ron wants to know if Padma will go with him."
"I'll ask her." Parvati said, smiling.
"Thanks, that would be great." Harry said and came back to where we were sitting.
"Elizabeth are you going with someone?" Harry asked.
I shook my head, a bit downcast. "I haven't been asked by anyone that I haven't seen the future about."
"I'm sorry." Harry said.
I realized that I sounded extremely upset and I jumped to my feet. "No! Sorry, I'm fine, don't worry. I'm going to go eat."
I walked out of the Gryffindor common room. I went down to the Great Hall and grabbed something to eat and walked out to the forest. It was still light out and I found Firenze easily.
"Elizabeth Kane." He greeted me.
"Hi Firenze." I said, sitting down nearby.
I was quiet and he asked what was wrong.
"Well. . . nothing really." I said. "I just don't like being able to see the future much right now."
Firenze laughed, "Can't see who your going to the ball with?"
I blinked. "How'd you know?"
"Girls are usually very interested in balls and such. So judging by your down face, I assumed it had something to do with that." Firenze said, continuing to sharpen his arrows.
"It's just. . ." I hesitated. "It's stupid to complain about not having a date, you know? There are worse things than not having a date. And it's not like I wasn't asked. . . it's just that those who asked I'd already seen going with other people. . . you know I hate interfering with the future."
Firenze nodded, "I understand that and you are right that there are worse things. But I think someone as young as you shouldn't be worried about worse things. But perhaps that's a biased answer considering how much I like you."
He held my gaze for a second before tossing another arrow onto his pile of fixed arrows. I got closer, interested in the process.
"Can you teach me how to make arrows?" I asked, changing the subject.
He showed me that using fire could help bend arrows- and bows- into the shape that you wanted. Plants could be stripped and plant insides could be used as bow string. There were flat rocks that had to be chiseled and sharpened to turn into arrow points and more twine and feathers and leaves to attach the heads to the sticks and decorations for the bottom of the arrows.
I practiced with some of the wood he had laying around. I could make decent arrows but I couldn't make a good bow. I was very frustrated by this fact and it showed on my face.
"Your being to gentle with the wood." Firenze said, "here." He placed his large hands over mine and pulled on the wood harder. "See?"
I tried concentrating on what I was doing, but I was more distracted by his hands. They were so warm, big, and comforting. I blinked, trying not to think about them.
There was a better bow shape than I had done. "But if I pull to hard it'll snap in half." I said.
"No, that's what the fires for." Firenze said. "It's gentle, fast, and hard all at the same time, see?" And then, for some reason, his face turned red and he took his hands off mine and busied himself with the rest of his arrows.
I looked at him curiously. "What? I don't understand." I had never seen Firenze flustered before.
"It's nothing, Elizabeth." He said, his face still red. "I'm just saying that while you have to be careful with the wood, you have to pull hard to make the shape."
"Oh." I said, but that hadn't been what I'd meant at all. I was trying to figure out why his face was all red. I'd never seen Firenze embarrassed before. But I let the conversation drop.
"Who would you like to go to the ball with?" Firenze asked suddenly, tucking his back legs out to the side in a more comfortable position.
"Well. . ." I hesitated, holding another arrow in my hand. "I would've liked to go with Fred or Cedric but it wasn't possible of course. . . and anyone else I could've asked is much older- like graduated from school old- so they can't come obviously. . . I don't know if I'll even go."
Firenze was quiet, carving the stone into a triangle point. We talked about different topics for the rest of the time until it got dark, and then I headed back up to the castle. I wondered how Sirius and Dad were. I wondered how Trang was. I ought to write to them all tonight.
I did just that, going straight up to the dorm and pulling our parchment and ink.
Dear Sirius, Yule Balls coming up... yay. I guess. Anyways, I just wanted to make sure you got the chicken. I don't want you to be feeding on only rats! I'll send more food when I get a chance. Miss you a lot, Write soon Love, Elizabeth
Dear Dad, Perhaps I should've come home for Christmas- don't know why in the world I wanted to stay. I just realized only now that I don't dance. I suppose I should've thought ahead better. Wish you could come up here for Christmas since I messed up. I miss you a lot. I can't wait for summer to see you again. I love you. Write soon, okay? Love, Elizabeth
P.S. Did you ever send a letter to Uncle Moody about classes? He said on our first day that he got a letter from you describing what the class had been over. I just figured you'd told him when he came to our house. Perhaps you sent a follow up letter?
Dear Trang, There's a ball going on at school this year! I know you talked about a 'homecoming' back in September. I suppose this dance is something like that. It's called the Yule Ball. I don't have a date but I might go anyways. I only said no to Fred because I foresaw him going with Angelina. I think if I didn't have visions I would've said yes. But maybe there's a reason I don't go with him- right? Anyways, wanted to get your opinion on Magical candies. I'm going to send you a lot of different things for Christmas. It'll probably get there after Christmas though. Depends on how fast Sadie can get to America. (owls don't fly over oceans well of course). Write soon okay? I want to hear all about your crazy American friends. How's Carter? Have you found anywhere secluded to fly? Did you go to that homecoming dance? Love, Elizabeth
I stuffed each letter in an envelope, scrawling their names on the outside, and put them aside so that I could send them off tomorrow. Three days until the ball. I took a deep breath. I thought about what Professor McGonagall said a long time ago. She was right. My self-worth wasn't my visions. My self-worth wasn't if I had a date at the ball. I'd been asked and I'd turned them down.
Feeling much better, I laid down and went to sleep.
💙💙💙💙
𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝖓𝖊𝖝𝖙 𝖉𝖆𝖞, I rose and hurried up to the owlery. I'd need three owls. Sadie had come back from Sirius, a small note attached to her mouth. "I have a letter I need you to take to Trang." I said. "I know they aren't your favorite trips and I know it's a long wait so get some sleep, okay? I'll leave the letter with you and you can take it when your ready." She hooted softly. I tied the small letter to her leg, making sure all the flaps were down. She went up to the straw and slept.
I took Hedwig down so that she could deliver a letter to Dad and then I borrowed a school owl for Sirius. I'd attached parchment to Sirius letter so that he wouldn't have to scrounge around for parchment.
I sent them off and then was going to leave the Owlery when Dean Thomas came in. We bumped into each other and both clutched our foreheads in pain.
"Hi Dean." I said. I noticed he had no letter in his hand. What was he doing up here?
"Will you go to the ball with me?" He asked breathlessly in greeting.
I stared in surprise. "Oh."
"I mean, I wasn't going to go with anyone and I know you weren't going to foresee me going with anyone so I wanted to know if you'd go with me." Dean said awkwardly. Perhaps he blushed, but it was to hard to tell because his skin was so dark.
"Sure." I said, blushing. "yeah, I'll go to the ball with you."
He grinned. "Great, okay. I'll meet you in the entrance hall, yeah?"
"Yeah." I said.
He dashed down the Owlery steps and I stood there for a second. Then I cursed. I'd just sent those letters off! Bloody hell.
Groaning in frustration I set down the stairs. I entered the Great Hall and sat down with the others. "Guess who just asked me to the ball?" I asked lightly.
"Who?" Ron asked, interested. Padma had told him she'd go to the ball with him.
"Dean Thomas."
"Really?" Hermione asked, a bit amazed. "I didn't think he was going to go with anyone."
"Yes." I said, pulling over a plate of toast and the butter dish. "He said as much in the Owlery. However, I didn't foresee him with anyone, probably because he wasn't going to go with anyone, so I said yes."
"I'm surprised." Harry said. "Thought you'd go with Fred or Cedric."
"Well. . ." I said slowly. "They did both ask me, as I've said before. But since I'd seen them with other people. . . I didn't feel comfortable interfering with the future for selfish gain."
Ron was shaking his head and muttered, "Mental." I gave him an annoyed look.
We left the Great Hall and Ron ducked behind Harry to hide as Fleur went past saying, "It is too 'eavy, all zis 'Ogwarts food. I will not fit into my dress robes!"
"Oooh there's a tragedy." Hermione snapped. ''She really thinks a lot of herself, that one, doesn't she?"
"Hermione- who are you going to the ball with?" Ron asked quickly. He'd been asking her frequently, trying to startle her into giving in. It wasn't working.
Hermione simply frowned and said, "I'm not telling you, you'll just make fun of me."
"You're joking, Weasley! You're not telling me someone's asked that to the ball? Not the long-molared Mudblood?" Draco's voice came from behind us.
Harry, Ron, and I spun around and my wand was out. Before I could cast a spell, Hermione beamed, and waved to someone behind Draco and said, "Hello, Professor Moody!"
Draco went pale and jumped backward, looking wildly around, but Uncle Moody was still up at the teacher's table, eating.
"Twitchy little polecat, aren't you, Malfoy?" Hermione asked scathingly and we went up to the library.
"Hermione, your teeth." Ron said slowly, looking sideways at her.
"What about them?" She asked defensively.
"Well, they're different." Ron said, frowning.
"Of course they are- did you expect me to keep those fangs Malfoy gave me?" Hermione said, rolling her eyes.
"No, I mean, they're different to how they were before he put that hex on you. . . They're all. . . straight and- and- normal sized." Ron said.
Harry and I leaned around to see her mouth too as she smiled mischievously. They were different.
"Well. . . when I went up to Madam Pomfrey to get them shrunk, she held up a mirror and told me to stop her when they were back to how they normally were, and I just. . . let her carry on a bit. Mum and Dad won't be too pleased. I've been trying to persuade them to let me shrink them for ages, but they wanted me to carry on with my braces. you know, they're dentists, they just don't think teeth and magic should- look! Pigwidgeon's back!" She said, pointing.
Pigwidgeon was twittering on top of the banisters, a scroll of parchment tied to his leg. People passed by, pointing and laughing and group of third year girls paused and said, "Oh look at the weeny owl! Isn't he cute?"
"Stupid little feathery git! You bring letters to the addressee! You don't hang around showing off!" Ron said, grabbing Pigwidgeon out of the air in a fist. Pigwidgeon hooted, his head protruding above Ron's fist. The third-year girls looked scarred for life.
"Clear off!" Ron snapped at the third-years girls. I frowned at him. "Here- take it, Harry." Ron added.
In the corner of the Gryffindor common room, Harry read aloud Sirius' letter.
Dear Harry, Congratulations on getting past the Horntail. Whoever put your name in that goblet shouldn't be feeling too happy right now! I was going to suggest a Conjunctivitis Curse, as a dragon's eyes are its weakest point but your way was better, I'm impressed. Don't get complacent, though, Harry. You've only done one task; whoever put you in for the tournament's got plenty more opportunity if they're trying to hurt you. Keep your eyes open- particularly when the person we discussed is around- and concentrate on keeping yourself out of trouble. Keep in touch, I still want to hear about anything unusual. Sirius
"He sounds exactly like Moody. Constant vigilance! You'd think I walk around with my eyes shut, banging off the walls. . ." Harry said, pocketing the letter. I giggled.
"But he's right, Harry. You have still got two tasks to do. You really ought to have a look at that egg, you know, and start working out what it means. . ." Hermione said.
"Here." I said. "Cedric's going to give you a hint and you should take it up."
Harry scowled.
"I know." I said, rolling my eyes. "But he's already figured it out. Stupid thing really, he won't exactly be paying you back and I'm not telling you what it is. But if you take up the offer sooner rather than later, you'll be much better off."
"Want a game of chess Harry?" Ron asked.
"I'll see you guys later." I said. "I'm going to get some homework done."
"Sure Ron. See you later Elizabeth." Harry said and I left the common room.
💙💙💙💙
𝖂𝖍𝖊𝖓 𝕴 𝖜𝖔𝖐𝖊 up on Christmas day, I bounced out of bed to see the stack of presents at the foot of my bed.
Dad had sent books, of course. Lord of Chaos, Insomnia, The Bingo Palace, and Born in Fire. He'd also sent me a binder with sleeves in it. I wasn't sure what it was for a moment until, after looking at it, I realized it could be used to hold my Chocolate Frog cards. He'd also sent a letter.
Dear Elizabeth, Is Hogwarts really so bad that you wish it was summer already? And I'm sure you'll end up being glad that you stay at Hogwarts for the winter. Despite that, I do miss you too. I love you a lot. No, I never sent Mad-Eye a letter. Perhaps he's mistaken or perhaps he wrote down the contents of our conversation which he then mistaken for a letter. Not entirely sure. Or maybe he just didn't want the students to know that he knows me personally. I can understand and respect that. Anyways, let me know if anything else goes on at Hogwarts. Love you, Dad
I frowned. Sure, Uncle Moody made some rash decisions but mistaking his own handwriting for a letter from dad? Not likely. Of course. . . not every wizard or witch liked to admit they knew a werewolf. . . and while dad could respect that, I most certainly couldn't. And I couldn't see Uncle Moody being ashamed of knowing Dad. He didn't care about people's opinions. So why had he said he'd received a letter from dad over the summer?
Hermione had sent me a Quidditch book titled Quidditch Teams of Britain and Ireland.
Trang had sent me American candy and new books from the Vampire Diary series.
Ron sent me a book called Mythology and a note saying that I should stop reading IT. I had actually gotten him the book IT for Christmas. I wondered if he'd get nightmares from reading it. Then I wondered if he would even read it.
Harry had sent me chocolates from Honeydukes.
Hagrid had sent treacle fudge and a carved dragon statuette.
Mrs. Weasley had sent me hot fudge cakes and a pink sweater with white rabbits knitted on it. She had also sent a letter thanking me for the portrait I'd done of the family and told me that it was hanging on the wall in the living room.
Fred and Cedric had sent me more charms to put on the bracelet that Fred had originally bought for me on my first Christmas here. Fred had sent a rabbit, dolphin, and British flag charms. Cedric had sent a snitch charm and a book charm. I added them to the bracelet immediately.
Bill had sent me an artkit, fit with a book, to learn how to Gongbi, a type of Chinese style painting.
I was glad that Dean hadn't given me anything for Christmas because I hadn't gotten him anything.
Sirius had sent me a penknife, not unlike the one he sent Harry. I had been meaning to ask him about the house key he'd sent for my birthday but was afraid of the answer.
As always, there was an anonymous present, which I was almost always fairly certain came from Professor Snape. I dropped the rock into my hand and stared at it curiously. It was black onyx but it didn't seem to be a decoration of any sort. There was no holes or loops to put string through to make it a necklace.
Then, looking through a small part of the onyx, I saw that there was a diamond in there. It wasn't large. Probably smaller than my pinky fingernail. But it was there. It had to have hidden meaning- I just didn't know what. I set the onyx down carefully on the table, not wanting it to get broken.
Then, I noticed there was one last present. It was wrapped in a sheaf of animal skin and I carefully laid it on my bed and opened it up and gasped. It was a bow. It was beautifully crafted- obviously handmade with a pink tint to the wood. There were about a dozen arrows with it as well. Everything about it was perfect. There was a handwritten note inside that read For my favorite human.
I laughed and set the animal skin, bow, and arrows underneath my bed. I grabbed my cloak and scarf from the bedside table and raced down the stairs, out of the castle.
I had to search a little bit before I could find Firenze. He and Ronan were talking amongst themselves. Ronan bowed to me and I bowed back quickly. "Hello Ronan." I said. "How are you?"
"Very well, and you, Elizabeth Kane?"
"Decent." I said with a smile. "Merry Christmas!"
"Merry Christmas!" Ronan said with a smile. He nodded to Firenze. "I will converse with you later." Firenze nodded back and then turned to me as Ronan galloped off.
"Thank you for the bow and arrows Firenze." I said, smiling still. I didn't want to use the word gift or present in case that was offensive to their kind. Firenze already had animosity with Bane- I didn't want to create anymore.
"You are quite welcome." He said with a smile. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a drawing I'd done of him. There were actually a few sketches on the page. He took the page, looked at it, and laughed. "I think you've overdone my arm muscles a bit Elizabeth Kane."
It was probably true- I'd done up the muscles in his arms and stomach. I blushed. "It's fairly realistic in my mind."
Firenze put a hand on my shoulder. "Thank you Elizabeth Kane." Then, to my surprise as he rarely showed any type of physical affection to me, he pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back tightly, savoring the moment for I was sure this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
"You're welcome Firenze." I said, smiling upwards. My stomach growled. He laughed again.
"I suppose you came out here without breakfast?" His teeth were absolutely perfect and white. We pulled out of the embrace and started walking back towards the edge of the forest.
"First thing." I said.
"Got a date for the Ball?" He asked.
I sighed, "His name's Dean Thomas. It was a bit of an unexpected invitation to be completely honest. I'd never gotten a vibe from him that he was interested in me, but I accepted as I didn't see any futuristic problems about going with him."
Firenze nodded, "That's fair enough I think."
"Anyways!" I said cheerfully. "I think I'll go inside and get some breakfast. How clear do you think the stars will be tonight?"
"Hmm." Firenze stared up at the light sky. "Probably clear. What time does the Yule Ball end?"
"Midnight." I murmured. "Best time for viewing."
My stomach growled again. I said good-bye and hurried back up to the castle to eat.
💙💙💙💙
𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝖉𝖆𝖞 𝖕𝖆𝖘𝖘𝖊𝖉 quickly- most likely because I was dreading dancing. I forgot I didn't know how to dance.
There was the normal Christmas lunch that took place every year. The tables looked weird because everyone was visiting different tables. There were Hufflepuffs sitting with Ravenclaws and Gryffindors sitting with Hufflepuffs. It was very bizarre to see, especially with the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons sitting throughout the four tables.
Then, afterwards, I went outside with the Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione. We had a snowball fight. We mostly targeted Ron. Ginny was very good at throwing snowballs and more importantly- dodging them.
Hermione however, decided to watch on the steps. I would've thrown a snowball at her just to get her to join in, but I knew what she wanted to do with her hair so I refrained from the temptation.
She left a full three hours before the dance started. Ron shouted after her as she went up the steps, "What, you need three hours?" and then, "Who're you going with?"
But she didn't answer and simply disappeared into the castle. "Who is she going with!" Ron said in frustration, taking another snowball to the head.
"You know." I said. "If she doesn't want you to know, you'll just have to find out at the ball-" I ducked a snowball thrown at me by Fred. "-and then, you have to promise you're still going to dance with Padma."
I threw a snowball at George's stomach and it hit. I went in with about an hour and a half left and I pulled Ron aside, and said seriously, "I'm serious. You pay attention to Padma tonight, do you understand?"
"Yes, I get it." Ron snapped.
"You're going to be looking for Hermione until you find her and not paying attention to Padma. Try and change the future and give her some attention. You'd better dance with her." I said and walked away, dodging one last snowball thrown by Fred.
In the girls dorm up in the Hufflepuff house, Susan was wearing green dress robes and Hannah was wearing pink.
I quickly got into my own long purple dress. Susan zipped up the back. It took me about twenty minutes to finish my makeup. I played up the eyes and lips. Then, with a bit of help from Susan, I finished my hair in an elegant bun with small braids circling on my head. I stuck in pearl bobby pins to keep everything in place.
I helped Susan with her hair in return, and then went over to my dresser and took out the silver heels I had saved for the occasion. As jewelry, I put on the black sunflower necklace that Snape had given me for Christmas last year and the dragon ring that Dad had given me for a past birthday. I didn't wear the charm bracelet- it was to juvenile, I thought. I left my glasses off as well. My vision was a bit wonky but clear- I'd been getting used to it.
I walked down the stairs to the entrance hall. My vision was slowly adjusting. Dean came out of nowhere, wearing black dress robes.
"You look lovely." He said, a blush creeping up his dark cheeks.
I smiled at him. "Thank you."
A moment later, Harry came down with Parvati, Ron trailing after him.
"Hi Harry, Hi Parvati." I said in greeting. My arm was around Dean's.
"Ah, you look so pretty!" Parvati squealed.
I blushed. "You look lovely as well." She really did. She was from India and had worn the traditional Indian dress with a sash. The robes were a shocking pink. Her dark black hair was plaited with gold and she wore gold bangles on her wrists and gold jewelry about her neck. Her sash- if that was what it was called- was a purple color.
"You turned out well." I said to Harry.
"Gee, thanks." Harry said, looking extremely nervous.
"Chin up." I said. "You've got a pretty date and she's a strong dancer too." I winked at Parvati. She smiled. "Besides, four or five dances isn't that much now, is it?"
Ron was looking around the crowd. Parvati found her sister and brought her over to meet Ron.
"Hi." Ron said, and I was pleased to see that he was looking directly at her rather than around the crowd.
Padma was just as pretty in her dress robes. They were the same style as Parvati's, but turquoise in color with a yellow sash. In my opinion, I thought she might even be prettier. She had slightly fuller lips than Parvati and I preferred the colors of her dress robes.
"Oh no." Ron cried out and ducked as Fleur passed with the Ravenclaw Quidditch captain, Roger Davies. He stood up as she passed by without a single look at us.
I ignored a group of Slytherins that had just come up from the dungeons. Instead, I focused on the front oak doors. A moment later, Professor Karkaroff entered, the Durmstrang students and their partners following after.
Krum was at the front of the party with Hermione. Her hair was done up elegantly and sleek looking. Her dress was periwinkle colored. I looked over. Harry had a blank look on his face, not knowing who she was. Ron however, looked a bit sour and I stomped on his foot and glared at him. He winced. I'd forgotten I'd been wearing heels.
"Champions over here please!" Professor McGonagall called from across the Great Hall.
"See you later." Parvati said to Ron, Padma, Dean, and I. Dean gave me his arm and I took it. Ron gave Padma his arm and she took it delightedly. His robes, I'd forgotten to mention where a dark maroon and looked well on him. No lace or nothing.
We walked past the champions. I smiled at Hermione and nodded to Cedric as we passed. Cho looked absolutely beautiful and I was glad I had declined. I wouldn't have looked like that next to Cedric. The two of them were made for each other. I found I wasn't jealous like I thought I might've been. After all, I couldn't be with all my crushes.
On the other hand, Cedric scowled at Dean, looking quite jealous. I paid him no attention. Luckily, Cho hadn't noticed- looking at her Ravenclaw friends in the crowd.
Ron and Padma followed. We made our way to a small round table in the back and joined Seamus, Lavender, Neville, and Ginny. Ginny looked lovely in her blue robes and Lavender was wearing. . . lavender robes. Us girls grouped together and the boys all sat with each other. I didn't mind though.
The champions entered in a line, following Professor McGonagall up to the high table. She was wearing crimson robes which I thought would've looked nice on her if she hadn't put such an ugly wreath of thistles around her hat.
Everyone in the Great Hall started clapping and I joined in. Ron wasn't looking sulky, the way I'd seen before, but he was getting close to it, staring at Hermione and Krum with a look of distaste. But he looked at me and immediately turned to engage Padma in conversation.
I turned my attention to the high table. There was Dumbledore, wearing robes of blue. Then Karkaroff, he was wearing a moody expression, as he watched Krum and Hermione, to rival Ron's. I remembered his bias against Muggle-born witches and wizards. Ludo Bagman was in robes of bright purple with yellow stars- ugly to say the least. Madam Maxime was wearing a flowing gown of lavender silk, applauding politely and properly. Mr. Crouch, of course, was not there- the reason still remained unknown to me. However, in his place was Percy Weasley.
I was slightly irked about Mr. Crouch not being here, as I had wanted to corner him and see if he'd managed to throw off the curse. Or maybe he'd thrown off the curse and that was why he wasn't here. The thought made me uncomfortable.
I looked over to where some of the other teachers were sitting. Professor Sprout had ditched her normal patched and frayed clothes and was now wearing clean dress robes of tinted gold. Professor Flitwick was wearing navy blue. Hagrid was wearing his usual horrible brown suit. Professor Snape was wearing black, but not his usual overflowing robes.
He was wearing long black pants and a stiff white shirt which he'd covered with a long black coat. The edges of the bottom of the coat stuck out, the entire outfit was crisp. His hair looked exactly the same and he was wearing an expression of extreme boredom. He looked extremely handsome- I couldn't help noticing.
Professor Moody was wearing brown as well with a white ruffled shirt. He kind've looking like those explorers that Trang had showed me in one of her American history textbooks, except he was missing the funny black hat. But he had the long white socks and black buckled shoes. Pilgrims- I think was the word. I wasn't very certain about American history as I was British.
Once dinner ended, our entire table got to their feet so that we could start dancing. I had my arm on Dean's again. Harry had one hand on Parvati's waist and his other was clasped in her head. Seamus and Dean sniggered and waved at him.
The Weird Sisters- not one of my favorite bands- started up a mournful tune and the champions and their partners started to dance. After an appropriate amount of time, other couples stepped in. Dean led me into the circle and we started to dance as well.
As much as I complained about not being able to dance, it was easy when it was choreographed to be somewhat the same. There was a pattern to be memorized, it wasn't just something left up to everyone.
Dean and I moved in a circle, closer to the teacher's table. I tried my best not to glance over at Professor Snape- I cared about his opinion way to much to see if he was looking at me or not. I noticed though, that Karkaroff was nearby, staring at the two of us, wearing robes of white with a black belt across his waist.
Finally though, as Dean twirled me around, I gave the briefest flicker with my eyes over to the Professors. Professor Snape seemed to be staring into my soul as our eyes met for a second. And then, my eyes were back on Dean and we were waltzing away.
Another dance started up and my eyes darted over to where Harry and Ron were but they continued to dance and I relaxed a bit.
Both Fred and Cedric interceded with Dean to get a dance or two in with me. Angelina didn't mind so much with Fred, going off and dancing with George and Lee, but Cho was another story. She threw jealous glances mine and Cedric's way, while talking to her Ravenclaw friends.
I frowned at Cedric, "You're making Cho jealous."
He looked uncomfortable as we danced, "I wanted to take you."
Now I was uncomfortable.
"Why'd you turn me down?" He asked.
"Because I saw you going with Cho and I don't interfere with the future." I replied honestly.
"What if you couldn't see the future?" Cedric asked.
I hesitated and then admitted, "I probably would've said yes."
He seemed a great deal happier with that answer and I quickly said, "But it doesn't change the fact that you were and are supposed to be with Cho."
He pursed his lips. "It's a dance Elizabeth. This is the only dance I get with you probably ever. Let me enjoy it."
I scowled at him. "I'm enjoying it."
"Good." He said with a grin and twirled me around. I finally laughed.
"You are a good dancer." I admitted.
"I know. You're terrible." Cedric teased.
I blushed, laughing again. "Oh Ced. . ."
The song ended and we broke apart, staring at each other for a moment before Cho glided over, taking Cedric back into her arms. I took the hint and went to find Dean.
Around eleven o'clock, I said goodnight to Dean. I stopped by Hermione who was in deep conversation with Krum and another boy by the drinks table. He was incredibly short.
"You look gorgeous Hermione." I told her earnestly and she smiled at me.
"And you look beautiful." She complimented me back.
"Hello Viktor." I said and simply nodded to his other friend.
"Elizabeth, you looked very nice." Viktor said awkwardly, looking at Hermione like he hoped she wouldn't take offense to him complimenting me.
"This is Viktor's friend Felix er- I can't pronounce his last name." Hermione said quickly, introducing us.
I shook hands with him. He was thin and tall with light brown hair. He was from Sweden and was only eight years old, though he looked at least twelve. I was surprised by his age. Apparently he worked under Karkaroff as a study. I thought it was very interesting. His last name was: Kjellberg. Apparently understudies started at young ages. Probably because learning things at a young age made it stick longer in the brain.
I said good-bye to them and made my way out of the Great Hall and down into the entrance hall. I noticed Harry and Ron had taken a walk too, though not with Parvati and Padma. I wondered briefly if they would still over hear Hagrid and Madam Maxime's conversation or if that had already happened.
Snape and Karkaroff had just passed them. Karkaroff had broken off from Snape, passing me now. He slowed and we exchanged a look. I shivered and looked away.
I turned down a side path, away from Karkaroff, that would lead to the greenhouses- but I went into the forest instead. I wondered where Firenze could possibly be tonight. I looked up at the sky as I walked. Firenze had been right, there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
"You look stunning tonight." a voice that wasn't Firenze's said. My heart started to beat extremely fast. I turned around slowly. Professor Snape stood there, his arms behind his back. He had no expression on his face, though there was a faint colour in his cheeks.
"Thank you." I said, barely whispering. My words carried across the clearing. I realized how story-book this was. The perfectly circular clearing with the stars shining down on us. The lovely glowing flowers that were in half-bloom. If only it was the summer and not the winter and lightning bugs were flying around.
Professor Snape seemed to be thinking along the lines of the weather because he said, "Aren't you cold?"
I looked down. I had forgotten a cloak. I shrugged instead, "I was only planning on staying out for an hour or so."
He took a step closer, a hesitant one. His eyes were locked on mine. I felt the way I had in the potions classroom with Karkaroff, except I wasn't frozen from fear- but anticipation. I shivered. He mistook the shivering however.
I met him halfway in the clearing. He held out his hand and asked, "May I have this dance?"
It was such a corny, fairy tale like line that I was utterly surprised he had used it. I placed a hand in his, noticing how warm his hands were. That surprised me even more, I think. Being in the dungeons was freezing and I expected his hands to be cold.
I put my other arm around his neck. His other hand was on my waist. I had expected him to be a good dancer- an expectation that he met.
"I did mention how beautiful you look tonight, didn't I?" he whispered in my ear.
"Yes." I whispered softly. "And though I never said a word, I think you look extremely handsome tonight."
Though I had grown over the summer, I still wasn't quite as tall as him. My head rested just on his shoulder. We'd stopped dancing formerly and were now more swaying side to side. I was trembling now, a bit from the cold, and a bit from nerves.
"You should've brought a cloak." He murmured again, against my cheek.
"I don't usually think before I act." I muttered. "You know that."
He laughed, a real one, and said, "Yes, I suppose I do."
What was this? I had never really expected romantic feelings from him- him being a teacher and all. He hadn't danced with anyone at the ball and had left early. I knew, of course, he'd had feelings for my mum and that could've been a reason he never loved anyone. The words, "I act heartless because my heart died with her" kept popping into my head when I thought about his cold demeanor.
But this wasn't cold, this wasn't heartless, and this was certainly borderline romantic. Okay, it was completely romantic. Dancing in the moonlight in a forest. His hands were warm and so was his body. I was growing careless.
"The stars are pretty aren't, they? I suppose that's the reason you came out here in the first place." he whispered. Did he just call the stars pretty? How completely unlike him.
I opened my mouth to explain exactly why I came out here, but my brain didn't work and instead I whispered, "I love you."
We stopped dancing. He froze and I froze and then I clapped a hand over my mouth in horror. His eyes were locked on mine, looking almost frightful. Without saying another word, I drew away from him, dashing past him. Kicking off my heels, I ran back to the castle, leaving Professor Snape behind in the clearing.

other things that Really Do Work:
-yoga. it won't cure your disability, but there's difficulty levels for basically anyone that isn't fully bedbound, and it's a really good low impact relaxing form of exercise that rlly helped improve my CEDS joint pain
-touching grass. no seriously go outside barefoot and just stand on the raw earth for a bit soaking up the sun. trust me. even just taking your laptop outside to doomscroll on the porch can make miles of difference
-faking it. op touches on this but pretending you love yourself attracts new friends like flies and sooner or later you really believe it
-quit making suicide jokes. it's a form of passive ideation and rlly does make your depression worse.
-drinking enough water. did you know being chronically dehydrated can worsen muscle pain issues?
-eating breakfast. i shit you not eating breakfast was such a game changer for both my sleep schedule and my mood
-waking up early. i know the night owl lifestyle is big esp with adhd gang but when you get up early you really do feel like you have all the time in the world.
-good hygiene. this can feel like an insurmountable task if you're disabled but genuinely if you can find some kind of workaround. brush your teeth in the shower. use dry shower foam (it's a no rinse type of cleaning foam) or wipes. wash or wipe down your face. get your hair washed for like $5 at a hole in the wall barber shop. ask a trusted friend or partner to wash your hair for you. whatever you have to do to make it a habit, do it. i promise your mental health will magically become way more manageable when you don't feel filthy.
-trying new things even though it's scary or you aren't sure you're very good at it. novel experiences are a MUST, and the more you do it the more comfortable you'll be. i'm not saying you need to abolish all of your personal boundaries, but venture outside of your comfort zone once in a while! do it scared! test the boundaries of your comfort zone! coming from someone with severe OCD that is now in remission due to ERP therapy, defying your comfort zone and examining and deconstructing your discomfort can be both fulfilling and extremely healthy! you might broaden your perspectives, or meet a new friend, or find a new favourite hobby! even if you don't end up enjoying the activity, you learn more about yourself!
-psychiatric medication. there's still a lot of stigma against medication or people who try one med that doesn't work and give up, or people who had a friend who tried that med and it didn't work for them, people who think their problems aren't bad enough to justify medication etc etc and i need you to know that it's ok to ask your doctor for a different medication if the first line of treatment doesn't work. it can take months or years to find the exact combo and dosage you need, and it can be discouraging and scary, but trust me: when you find the right meds, it's a complete game changer and you'll kick yourself for not trying them sooner.
there's a broad range of needs and abilities out there, and not everyone can or needs to do everything on this non exhaustive list, but if you CAN and haven't already tried it: do it. trust me. you'll be so pissed off but it'll be worth it.
fucking hate it when the stuff everybody says "actually works" does actually work.
hate exercising and realizing i've let go of a lot of anxiety and anger because i've overturned my fight-or-flight response.
hate eating right and eating enough and eating 3 times a day and realizing i'm less anxious and i have more energy
hate journaling in my stupid notebook with my stupid bic ballpoint and realizing that i've actually started healing about something once i'm able to externalize it
hate forgiving myself hate complimenting myself more often hate treating myself with kindness hate taking a gratitude inventory hate having patience hate talking to myself gently
hate turning my little face up to the sun and taking deep breaths and looking at nature and grounding myself and realizing that i feel less burdened and more hopeful, more actually-here, that i am able to see the good sides of myself more clearly, that i am able to see not only how far i have to grow - but also how much growth i have already done & how much of my life i truly fill with light and laughter and love
horrible horrible horrible. hate it but i'm gonna do it tho

I Don't Have A Name For The Story Yet But One Thing For Sure This Is For A School Assignment And This Is Just A Summary (Part 1)
long ass title 💀
anywaus school assignment story i don't have a titlw for yet. splitting this into parts bc i'm not actually done with it yet augh
———
ok so basically it starts with a good ol intro for our protagonist; emira! she is a cake seller or smth. like a baker who sells in a bakery or whatever. you get it now right
ok let's get to the good part. she just so happen to be done with shopping for ingredients for a bunch of cakes and bread and pastries she'll sell but then oh wow!!!!!! the sky turned red and the wind is super strong oh my fucking god!!!!2!1!1!11!1! and then emira ran into some giant ass monster and nEARLY GOT HERSELF KILLED. YOU FUCKING DUMBASS.
dw she got saved by prince cedric tho <33333 no there is no canonical romance here if there is it's so so soooo not obvious but it's implied somewhat. it's just that the romance isn't between emimi and ced. anyways they talked for a bit and then emira brought up how they should do smth instead of hiding in some ugly ass cave forever
cedric then goes on thru a depression moment as he explains that he Does Not want to disobey his father by not listening to him and going outside to fight the monster himself and then cedric's friend andrew joins the conversation then tells him to just Shut The Fuck Up And Go Fuck It We Ball Already (emira joins in on that btw)
andrew then ends his super cool motivational speech with a very wonderful "i believe in you, cedric" and that made cedric super silent for some reason. now, this is where the very very veryyyy vague romance hints comes in. bc even if i obv made it Not obvious here, cedric and andrew do have some sort of.....chemistry with each other. off screen tho. not on screen. if it's on screen i'll get fried by the teacher /j
ugh....homos. /pos
anyways the three were going to go out of the cave to fight that bitchass monster but then cedric's dad came in. after so much begging and pleading the dad decided to let them go........with extra company
introduction of another character time!!!!!!! her name is mia and she's a royal guard :3 she's kinda like logos personality-wise; fucking emotionless and not so expressive. oo.
anyways timeskip to...iirc an hour later??? they're in some forest now and then they meet this witch named minori who is the most Cockiest Bitch Ever. i love her. she did Not want to come with the group to find and fucking kill the monster but then after awhile of arguing coaxing she decided to join them
YAYAYAYAYAYAYYYY THE GROUP'S GETTING BIGGER
two hours later they get lost in the forest like the little shits they are and then minori teleports them out of the forest and into emira's hometown—a village. they then go face to face with the monster from earlier but then some random ass voice came up from behind them and then it turns out.....
OH MY GOD THE VILLAIN IN THIS STORY; ALBERT?!?!?!?!?(_(4_!(4&!&(&!&(&
yea cedric knows albert actually. albert is cedric's bitchass ex the son of cedric's dad's enemy from the neighbouring kingdom. and that's where i finished off for now lol
#arthesias rambles (art blog edition)#arthesias ocs#the ever so postitive cake seller ☆: emira (oc)#the obedient prince: cedric (oc)#the sharp tongued inventor: andrew (oc)#the expressionless royal guard: mia (oc)#the prideful witch: minori (oc)#the one who is thirsty for revenge: albert (oc)

Physical Therapy Clinic in New York City
What is the common cause of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is a group of connective tissue disorders characterized by joint hypermobility, skin hyperextensibility, and various other symptoms. There are several different types of EDS, and they are caused by mutations in different genes, which affect the structure and function of collagen, a key protein in connective tissues. Collagen provides strength and support to various parts of the body, including the skin, joints, blood vessels, and internal organs.
The most common cause of EDS is genetic mutations that affect collagen production or its processing within the body. The specific gene mutations and the inheritance patterns can vary depending on the type of EDS. Some types of EDS are inherited in an autosomal dominant manner, meaning that an affected individual has a 50% chance of passing the mutation on to their children. Other types may have different inheritance patterns.
It's important to note that there are different subtypes of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, including the hypermobile type (hEDS), classical type (cEDS), vascular type (vEDS), and others, each with its own distinct genetic basis and clinical features. Genetic testing and evaluation by a medical professional are typically necessary to determine the specific subtype of EDS and its underlying genetic cause in an affected individual.
What Is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome?
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) refers to a group of 13 different connective-tissue disorders that involve a genetic mutation in collagen and connective-tissue production and structure. Connective tissues are those that comprise and support the skin, blood vessels, bones, and other organs.
What Are Complications of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome?
Complications of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome include the following:
Increased risk for developing depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
Risk of bleeding during surgery
Getting cuts and bruises easily
Pregnancy may be dangerous for some patients.
What Is the Life Expectancy of Someone With Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome?
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome typically progress slowly, and the prognosis depends upon the type of EDS and the severity of the condition.
Patients with the classical and hypermobility forms of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome have a normal life expectancy.
About 80% of patients with vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome will experience a major health event by age 40 and the life expectancy is shortened, with an average age of death of 48 years.
The lifespan of patients with the kyphoscoliosis type of EDS is decreased, due to the condition's effects on the vascular system and the potential for restrictive lung disease.
Understanding Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
To get a good understanding of the symptoms of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, it is essential first to understand what causes it. EDS is a genetic condition, so if you have it, it’s not your fault or the result of anything you did! Your genetics affects everything in your body, including the production of collagen, a protein that offers structure and support to the body’s connective tissues. Depending on the specific type of EDS (there are multiple subtypes like hEDS), your body will exhibit different symptoms. For example, it can cause connective tissues to be weak, stretchy, or breakable.
The symptoms of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome can affect several body parts. That’s the reason you can talk to a group of people with EDS, and one person will have stomach issues while someone else will have really bad joint pain.
Here are some of the most typical signs: Joint Hypermobility, Skin Fragility, Non-Stop Pain, Fatigue, Gastrointestinal Symptoms, Cardiovascular Issues, Vision Issues, Oral Issues,
These are some of the more common symptoms of EDS. But it bears repeating that symptoms can vary widely from person to person, and while you might have one or two symptoms from the list above, someone else may have something completely different.
As I said from the start, reading about the symptoms of a particular disease can take you down a dark rabbit hole. The best thing to do is to talk to your doctor about what you’re experiencing and confirm if you might have EDS. There are multiple tests that can be done to see how likely it is, and you can confirm a diagnosis by consulting a geneticist.
We see many patients that have some of the symptoms of EDS, like joint hypermobility and persistent pain, but haven’t received an “official EDS diagnosis.” We were able to get rid of the pain and work through many of the issues so that they could significantly reduce the pain and get back to living everyday lives again. If you’re from the New York area, click here for a free consultation!
Handling the Symptoms of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
OK – so you have some of the symptoms of EDS, and maybe even an indication that you have EDS from your doctor. What can you do about it? Although there is no cure for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, there are numerous treatments and things you can do to live an amazing life!

Revising A Tale of Star-Crossed Knights - Chapter 12
Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/39015690/chapters/102426453
This is another key chapter. There's two key events that take place in here actually, Fee's birth and the characters learning about the Aed Massacre and Belhalla.
For this one, I remember that I was trying to take a different style than what I went for in the preceding chapters, and this is how the rest of Part 2 proceeds for the most part. The idea is to directly contrast what Erinys was doing with what Finn was doing. To an extent, this was also to show that Finn had it better than Erinys in many regards. We see, for example, that he's doing rather frivolous things like arguing with Quan or helping Glade date Selphina while Erinys has to give birth to a whole child on her own.
(I noticed that, again, I still had the problem of putting weird sentences at the end of scenes because I'm not great at creating transitions. I think I'm better with shorter scenes than with creating a grand overarching story. Sadly this time, I still prioritized finishing the thing to writing something better...but if I waited for inspiration, I would be waiting forever.)
I'll also say that in revisions, I almost cut out the scene where Erinys gets depressed and Lahna comforts her. I feel that it's a bit awkward and interrupts the rhythm of Finn's side of the story, but overall I wanted to show the developing bond with Lahna more or less adopting Erinys as a daughter and Ced/Fee as her grandchildren.
The second part is the Aed/Belhalla thing. My unique take on this was that the Aed Massacre and the Battle of Belhalla took place entirely offscreen since neither of our main characters were there. Instead, we get to see how our protagonists learn of the news and react to it. I think I got Finn's reaction down much better than Erinys', but that was because I didn't want to write an NPC saying more or less the same things that Lachesis said. Finn would obviously be very emotional to learn about Quan and Ethlyn getting killed, and the presumed death of Altena as well. I don't think I had Erinys get as emotional as she should have to learn about Lewyn, but I think it's more that she goes on autopilot to comfort Lahna who is obviously aggrieved over the reported death of her son.
(Something that just came to mind as well is that Lahna never learned that Lewyn had children of his own. I don't think I'll write a mention of that into the later chapters, but it's a bit interesting.)
Anyways there's the end of the first part of Part 2! The second part is...probably in my opinion, the most underbaked part of the work, but we'll get through it as we revise.
---
Original A/N:
Oh no. Oh no. Tragedy has struck. The unthinkable has happened. Finn has lost his lieges, Quan and Ethlyn. Erinys lost her liege, Lewyn. They both have to cope with it.
This is really bad for Finn. I genuinely love the entire scene where Finn learns about Aed. Since this story is through his eyes (and Erinys' eyes), we didn't get to see Aed or Belhalla, so the first indication that something is amiss is Ethlyn's disappearance. Then there's the unexpected arrival of Lachesis where she literally sobs into his arms, so we see Lachesis' anguish. And then Lachesis can barely make it through telling Finn all of the bad news, and Finn...just dies. A part of Finn dies here. The next chapter is where the transition into the stoic emotionless Finn begins.
Erinys has her share of struggles, I'd say worse struggles than Finn. She's yearning for Finn still just as he is for her, except that she also has to give birth to a baby on her own. That's a real struggle. She tries to keep up with all of her responsibilities despite Lahna's wish for her to take it easy, which overwhelms her. And then the news of Lewyn being gone hits her. She's burnt out so much that it affects her a bit less than Quan and Ethlyn's deaths affect Finn, it's not even totally unexpected since it strikes both her and Lahna as a sort of "death by misadventure," but it's still a tragedy.
Have to note here that I actually cut a scene with Erinys and Lahna that took place after Quan/Ethlyn/Altena departed. The scene was basically that Erinys is overwhelmed and depressed because she feels like she's not being a good mother and she's not being a good servant either. I cut it because I felt like it duplicated many of the interactions in an earlier scene in this chapter and I didn't want to fall into the trap of overemphasizing the angle of being a single mother, but I might work it into Chapter 13.
So Chapter 12 is basically the midway point of Part II. The next 4-5 chapters (if not more) will deal with Finn and Erinys both having to deal with the fallout, which parallels with each other. Lachesis will continue to figure in Finn's story, and a certain two mages are going to show up in Erinys' story for a little bit. Stay tuned for Lots of Angst.
Additional notes: Okay I was too lazy to write a scene where Glade asks Dryas/Dorias for permission to date Selphina. But this isn't a fic about Glade/Selphina anyways. Lewyn's father...He obviously never appears at all, but I feel like he has that Forseti-bloodline mischievious nature in him. He left the castle on a regular basis for weeks or months at a time, leaving Lahna (a minor noble) to do the real governing. Lahna's genuinely skilled but looked down upon because of her gender which is part of why Silesse fell apart after Lewyn's father died. Lewyn's father also dies at age 45 from a heart attack or something similar while doing something dumb, basically an act of God, so it gets Lahna kind of used to Lewyn. Kind of. Quan and Ethlyn's deaths happen on June Hezul 22nd because I said so. When Finn and Lachesis are alone together, I actually thought about expanding on the point that it might be seen as improper. I didn't though because I feel like Lachesis just wouldn't care. Their relationship is going to turn into friends who might get mistaken as a couple occasionally, but they're married to different people of course. The line about Leonster saying that Finn would stay there is BS, it only exists to prevent the plot hole that Erinys would think that Finn is dead. I would want her to think that Finn is alive, so by extension Ced and Fee think that he's alive too.

Hello, I'm slightly closer to graduating... What did I do today instead of doing what needs to be done?
Oh yeah, I finally watched Magnifico (2003)! Glad I'm forgetful and I forgot its ending. It was a great film, Jiro Manio was great. Couldn't help name the other actors. And I couldn't focus because all I see is how Bobby, my cousin, acts the same way as Magnifico. It helps bridge realism towards the film and also, the world-building. God. Ced would love this he loves films centered on community.
Right, Ced. Today was a lot of things to unpack. Bottomline he didn't reply past 7PM and just after me watching, I stumbled on his Google account. Clicked on with some stuff mindlessly and discovered an activity log of how he's still awake and have watched a film at 12AM. I watched the clock strike 12 on my phone with him as wallpaper. At 2AM, I couldn't control and tried calling him. Leaving messages of pleas then an apology for ruining his night in case he's asleep.
I just came back from messaging Ced. I was about to tell bits of what happened tonight. I'm just drained, tired of explaining. I wish I could actually put this energy into doing. Like literally doing walk the talk. I think I might have to break up with Ced. As this blog is aware, I fell into a deep hole of depression when I started college in 2019. All my self-esteem went down the train. In all those years, I had Ced to hold to. Be my sense of support, in whatever it may be. I know how much he loves me. And how our love managed to be strong despite anything. I take it back. I may never know how much he truly loved me. All I made him remind was his setbacks. And also, we're completely different persons now. Somewhere when he took jobs and became busy I was supposed to change too but I refused. So I'm left here with nothing else better to do but check his history logs for I don't know what brings me.
He'd been making a lof of plans, and a lot of progress. Maybe I'm the one ruining all of it. I'm ruining his life exactly as he tells it.
