Poly Billy & Stu x Male Reader
Where reader has been canceling plans and spending time with Randy when the three promised to hang out or just generally ditching them for him and they’re hella jealous? Like wanting to keep reader on a leash so he can’t run away anymore jealous.
「 JEALOUSY KILLS ! 」 . . . 📁
scream : billy loomis, stu macher
w.c: 3.2k
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⊹˚.⋆ synopsis . . . Billy and Stu confront you, raging in jealousy, after seeing you with Randy at Stu’s party; the man you had been ditching Billy and Stu for
⊹˚.⋆ starring . . . billy loomis, stu macher, & male reader
Macher parties were your least favorite. They always consisted of the people you hated the most: snobbish highschoolers that didn't give anyone below their social standards the time of day unless it benefited them somehow. You were bare witness to this in real time as a highschooler yourself.
You could usually count on the company of Billy or Stu to keep you occupied. For a while, at least. Yet they developed the habit of seemingly forgetting your presence as the party raged on. They would hang out with you for the first couple minutes of the party, but leave you alone at one point or another. Usually to hang out with Sidney or Tatum. It had happened again and again, and by now, you were sick of it. Standing alone in the corner as people you hate surrounded you was not fun in the slightest.
So you invited Randy.
✁.
Billy sat on the living floor, beer in hand, as Stu sat beside him. Billy was used to having Stu as company, and don't get him wrong, Stu is his best-friend, but there's a limit as to how much Billy can listen to the other man ramble. "Can't believe Will was able to do that! A keg-stand with one hand? I wish I could do that. Whadda ya think, Bill?" Billy's name escaping Stu's mouth caused Billy to look to the blonde boy who had been talking to him for... awhile.
Billy felt himself down the last few drops of beer as he cleared his head. It wasn't common for him to zone out. In fact, he would consider himself to be a great listener. Although, you kinda have to be when being not only best friends but also boyfriends with Stu Macher. But today, something else had caught his attention completely.
Stu flops against the wall as he realizes just how much Billy had been listening for. His gaze flickers to Billy, catching a glimpse of what had ruptured Billy's attention for the past half hour.
You, in all your glory, sipping on your drink in the most angelic way possible. A dark blue sweater draped over your body in a simple but beautiful way. Blue is your color, Stu thinks. No wonder Billy was staring at you. He looks back over to said man, watching as his eyes darken and his jaw tense. Confused, Stu looks back to where you stood, noticing the thing that was bugging Billy. "Is that?"
"Randy," says Billy, in a way that makes it seem like what he's looking at is the most absurd and repulsive thing he's ever seen. Stu mouth falls agape as his eyes catch sight of you, laughing as you touch Randy's forearm. "What is he doing with [Name]?"
Billy lets out a sarcastic chuckle. "What do you think?" Stu's eyes narrow as you laugh at some joke Randy made. He had noticed you two getting closer recently. Hell, you even ditched Billy and Stu to hang out with him more than once! But there was no way you two were-
Maybe you were. "They're not- right, Billy? [Name] wouldn't date Randy." Stu asked, panic and jealousy apparent in his tone. Billy sighs as he lips press into a stern line. "I don't know."
"What if they are?" Stu asks.
"We kill Randy," Billy says nonchalantly but there's something dark underlying his words. "Give [Name] a shoulder to cry on, make him ours. Simple." Stu nods along to Billy's words, but doubt still clouds his mind. "What if that doesn't work."
"It will. And if it doesn’t… I’ll put him on a leash if I have to," is all Billy says before going silent once more. His gaze is glued to you and Randy. You are still smiling at him and talking. But that's okay, Billy reasons. When you're comfortable with someone, you love to talk. You could spend hours rambling about the latest movie you saw or the newest episode of your favorite tv show. That doesn't mean you're dating him. Right?
And smiling? That was nothing. You smile at everything. Something both you and Stu had in common. Hell, you even smile at strays. And, to Billy, Randy was extremely familiar to a stray, wild, animal.
Can't be wilder than you and Stu though. Or did you forget who you are, ghostface?
Billy frowns at the thought. You didn't know. Both Billy and Stu had guaranteed that. But what if you did? What if that was the reason you had started to ditch them for the likes of Randy? Everything you had done with them was stuff you were know doing with Randy, after all.
The first time you had ditched them for Randy was on your weekly movie night. After you had yet to show up after an hour, they had gone out looking for you. They eventually found you sneaking him into a movie theater to see the new Hellraiser movie. Something you had promised to watch with Billy and Stu.
As you began to ditch them more and more, they continued to see what you were doing instead of hanging out with them, and every-time you were with him. Doing stuff you always did and/or promised to do with Billy and Stu. Watching stupid movies to make fun of their absurdity, sneak onto the roof to just talk until the sun crept over the horizon, etc.
It drove them insane. Sure, you didn't owe the two anything. You didn't sign a contract saying you had to spend every waking moment with them. But that didn't make the two any less jealous. Especially when Randy wouldn't leave your side.
"Bill, I can't do this anymore, watching them is driving me nuts, man!" Stu whined as he chugged down some of his beer. For a second, Billy was taken aback. He had completely forgotten Stu's presence (again) while glaring holes into Randy's back. "Maybe we should go up to him?" Stu asks.
Billy clears his throat at the suggestion but glares at Stu. "Does it look like we could with Randy clinging to him? Don't be stupid." Stu pouts as he glances back at you and Randy once more. You're laughing at something he said, again. Stu's pout quickly turned into a frown. He was the only one to ever make you laugh that much.
Was he being replaced by Randy? Could Randy do everything he could? Better, even? The paranoia racking Stu's brain makes him sure he's going crazy. Surely, you wouldn't replace him. Right?
"I'm going up to him," says Stu. Billy gives him a pointed look. "Tell me how that goes."
"You should come with me," Stu replies. Billy feigns ignorance to Stu's words as he lifts the empty bottle of beer to his lips. "C'mon man, before it's too late."
Before it's too late.
The sentence echoes in Billy's ears. He didn't want to lose you. He couldn't lose you. Not to the annoying guys at school, not to the girl who always insists on being your partner whenever she gets the chance in English, and especially not to Randy. Billy wouldn't let that happen. Never. Not to anyone.
You were his and Stu's. No one else's.
Before he even can process what he's doing, Billy's standing up off the floor and walking to the kitchen. Stu right beside him with a satisfactory smile across his face.
You chuckle at something Randy says before you notice Billy and Stu walking towards the both of you. Your smile quickly drops. Now they chose to come say hi?
Stu swings his arm around your shoulder, "Hi, [Name]." His tone was flirty in the charismatic Stu way that would usually make your knees weak. Billy creeps up besides Stu. He gives Randy a quick glance before saying, "Hey" to you.
It was impossible not to notice your sour mood. Even Stu felt his confidence falter. You were pissed. Randy clears his throat, causing all three of you to turn your attention to him. "Sorry, Randy. Anyways, what were you saying?" You completely disregard Billy and Stu, focusing all of your attention on the brunette man in front of you.
Randy's gaze flickers to Billy and Stu before sending you a confused look. The two of you do a bit of eye communication as the tension between all four of you gradually increases. "So," Randy finally clears the air, "Have you guys seen the new Hellraiser movie? Me and [Name] saw it the other day."
As soon as those words leave his mouth, both Billy and Stu look like they want to rip his face off. They already knew of you ditching them for Randy, but to hear it out of his mouth made both men want to take you far, far away from the world. Make you theirs and only theirs.
"Not yet." Says Billy as his brown eyes lock onto you. The feeling of his stern gaze makes you swallow awkwardly. Randy didn't know you were going to see it with Billy and Stu. He also didn't know about your repeated ditching to hang out with him. Every word that could and had come out of his mouth was putting you one foot in the grave.
Randy laughs awkwardly, "It sucked. Didn't miss out on much." Billy just nods his head, not interested in what Randy had to say. "But [Name] can make any movie good. I never laughed so hard in a movie theater before."
"We get it." Billy says, annoyance clear in his words. Your eyes widen at Billy. You knew he never liked Randy that much, but he seemed to always tolerate him when you all hung out together. It made sense, so you never bugged Billy about it since Randy made his crush on Sidney very obvious.
Your gaze lingers on Billy, trying to decipher his abrupt aggressiveness. His face is contorted angrily. If looks could kill, Randy would be six feet under.
"So, Randy, you still got the hots for Sid?" Stu suddenly asks. It doesn't sound genuine at all. What were they up to? "Stu!" You whisper-yell at him. His blue eyes meet with yours. "Why would you ask that when Billy's right there?" It seems odd to you the fact you have to remind Stu that mentioning Randy's crush on Sid is a bad idea when Billy's right there. Unless he had something up his sleeve?
"Uh," Randy stutters, now slightly scared of what Billy will do if he answers truthfully. It doesn't help that Stu was staring down at him like a vulture. "A little, I guess." Your lips pull awkwardly back as Randy avoids eye contact with Billy and Stu. Why were the treating Randy like this?
Stu laughs at Randy, "I can't believe you would actually admit that when her boyfriend is right there!" His laughter quiets down but chuckles still escape his mouth. "Are you that stupid?"
"Dude! Stop being a dick," you whisper to him. Stu squints his eyes at you as if he's trying to figure out why you're defending Randy so hard. Stu frowns but continues on his taunts. "Is that why you came? To sneak a peek of her?"
"What? No!" Randy responds. "I came to hang out with [Name], so he isn't alone. He invited me in the first place."
You smile at his words. It didn't take much to notice; however, how Billy's jaw tensed and Stu's hand against your shoulder clenched. If the only people in the room were you four, you wouldn't doubt either of the boys breaking a beer bottle on Randy's head.
"Well, he isn't alone anymore, so you can leave." Billy says. Randy nervously chuckles, "I mean, I could. But I'm already here with [Name], and I like hanging out with him."
"I like hanging out with you too." You tell him, desperate to make him feel less uncomfortable when there's two men right in-front of him who look like they could slit his throat if given the chance.
"You know what's more fun to hang out with? The door. You should go check it out and while you are at it, get your ass out of here." Billy says without any hesitation in his voice.
"Billy!" You gasp. This wasn't cool anymore. "Can I talk to you?" Your gaze flickers to Stu. "Both of you. In private?" You send Randy an apologetic smile before grabbing both Billy's and Stu's hands and dragging them the hell out of here, without waiting for a response from the two.
Billy stops for a moment to speak to Randy once more, "The door is right there. Feel free to use it while we're gone." You curse under your breath as you pull him with you and take him up the stairs, eventually pulling the two into Stu's bedroom. Your hand doesn't leave theirs 'til you shut the door and can only hear the faint noise of the party raging on downstairs.
You let go of them to cross your arms over your chest, "What the hell are you two doing?"
Billy's the first to respond. "Showing Randy his place," he says, without an ounce of guilt for what he had done.
Stu nods and you glare at him. "C'mon, you guys. He's my friend. What's the problem with him hanging out with me? It's better than me being alone in the corner as I watch everyone around me make out and drink booze." It's your turn to be upset, and you hope your feelings get through their thick skulls.
"I don't care if he's your friend," Billy says, putting a strange emphasis on the word friend. Your brows contort in confusion and anger at his words. "What the hell is wrong with you? There was no reason for you to be that rude to him!" You snap. "I really like him, okay? And I don't want to lose him to you two being major assholes."
"Oh, so now you like him, huh?" Stu says and you sigh. Both of them were being so stubborn about this. "He's my friend, Stu. Of course, I like him."
"What about us? Do you like us?" Stu asks and your mouth falls open in shock.
"Yes? Why wouldn't I like you? You guys are quite literally my best friends."
"Then you shouldn't have an issue hanging out with us instead of Randy," Billy says. You close your eyes in frustration. The three of you were just going in circles at this point.
"Is it 'cause he likes your girlfriend? If so, that has nothing to do with our relationship." You ask and the expression on both of their faces makes you immediately regret your words.
"No. I don't care about Sid, okay? And it has everything to do with your... relationship." Billy pauses before saying the word like it's the most disgusting thing he's ever said.
"Yeah, man!" Stu chimes in. "He's weird. His hair is weird. And his clothes. And... and the way he looks at you! You shouldn't be around him."
"What? You two are behaving like children, right now! What is up with you two?" Your eyes widen as you suddenly put the pieces together. "You're jealous!" You place your palm over you mouth as your gaze flickers between the two. "You're jealous of Randy!"
"So what?" Billy says.
You inch closer to them, "You two are jealous because I've been hanging out with him so much. Oh my god. This whole time, I thought-"
"You thought what?" Stu asks.
"I thought you guys just didn't like him because he likes Sidney. But... why do you guys care that much if I hang out with him so much?" You ponder as you sit on the edge of the bed, no longer standing in front of them.
"Because you're ours, okay?" Stu says as he looms over you. Your eyes widen but he goes on. "We know you've been ditching him for us, [Name]. What did we do wrong?" He wraps his long arms around you as he moves to sit besides you on the bed. His hold is tight, possessive, but strangely enough, oddly comforting.
The room is silent for a moment before you speak. "You guys have been ditching me too, you know? At these parties, you'll talk and hang out with me for a little bit, but sooner or later, you leave me alone in some random room surrounded by people I don't know or don't like. Even at school! I didn't want to be clingy, so I made a new friend. I just didn't want to cling to you guys like some dog."
Your eyes show your hurt and Billy and Stu share a look. That was the reason? It never had even processed to them that that could've been the reason. But the same hint of relief in their eyes shone brightly. You didn't know.
"[Name]," Billy says as he walks to you. You gaze up at him as Stu rests his chin on your shoulder. He stands in-front of you before grasping your chin between his thumb and pointing finger. Flushed at the feeling of his intimacy, you avert your eyes. Before any of you know what's happening, Billy closes the distance between you. As your lips met his, everything else went into a standstill.
Too shocked by the action, you fail to respond to the kiss. This wasn't happening. There was no way Billy Loomis was kissing you. Did he-
Suddenly, all your worries turn into mush until the only thing you can think about is his lips on yours. And you finally realize this is what you had wanted for the longest time. To be with him. No- to be with them. They were the only ones in your heart. Stu's body warmth spreads through your body and captures your soul, making you part away from Billy.
Turning to Stu, your eyes bore into his, asking the question that wouldn't dare leave your mouth. Are we about to kiss? Stu answers the question immediately, pressing his lips against yours. The feeling that rushes through you is almost identical to the one you felt while kissing Billy. Your brain fogs, only focusing on him until the necessity to breathe arose, causing you to pull away.
"That was," you pause as your mind tries to find the words. "Unreal." You stare up at Billy dizzily. He takes the eye contact as a positive, sending you a rare but genuine smile. Stu practically jumps on to Billy as he springs up from the bed, wrapping his long arm around Billy’s neck, putting him into a headlock. “Sorry, Bill, but he was talking about our kiss. Not yours.”
Billy pushes him off and you can’t help but chuckle at the two. Billy punched Stu shoulder playfully but still with impact. “I can make them say that about more than kissing. Too bad, you can’t do the same.”
“And how would you know, smart guy?” Stu asks but you can feel the sexual tension start to build up between them. Billy suddenly pulls Stu’s head back by his hair, “Cause you can only take dick.” Stu bites his lip in arousal and you can tell that this was by no means something that they hadn’t done before.
Billy turns to you, Stu still in his grasp. “Do you want this?”
Your mouth opens in response, “I-”

hello! how are you doing today?
can i request stu macher and billy loomis with a reader who’s love language is giving gifts? specifically they hand make gifts for every little occasion or just because they feel like it, but feel guilty if they get gifts themselves? thank you :)
「 LAME ! 」 . . . 📂
scream : billy loomis, stu macher

Tumblr media Tumblr media
⊹˚.⋆ synopsis . . . You give your first gift to Billy and Stu… except you’re a total nervous wreck about it.
⊹˚.⋆ starring . . . billy loomis, stu macher, & implied!male reader
What were you doing?
You asked yourself that a million times now as you made your way back to Billy’s house. It wasn’t any special occasion. It wasn’t even a holiday! Yet, there you were, outside Billy Loomis’s door, gift in hand.
God, you were lame.
You stifled a groan as you stared at the friendship bracelets you had made for Stu, Billy, and yourself. The teasing from them would be endless! Stu would probably love the gift, show it off to everyone. And.. threaten anybody who dared to make fun of you for making the bracelets, saying how much of a queer you are or something stupid.
But Billy..?
Would he even wear it? All your efforts into making the bracelets? Wasted..?
Before knocking on his door, you paused and looked down and just… stared. Rethinking your life choices; however, was interrupted by a certain loud mouthed boy swinging Billy’s front door open.
“Is that [Y/N], I see?!” Stu exclaimed teasingly. He slung his large arm around your tense shoulders, “I was just thinking about you.”
“Hi, Stu.” You said as you hid the bracelets clutched in your hand as quickly as possible. Stu was more perceptive than a lot of people took him for. And pushy. And nosy. Not a good combo when trying to hide something from him.
However, not quick enough for Stu not to notice. He was practically breathing down your neck trying to catch a glimpse of whatever was hidden in your clutches.
“What’s that?” He asked, eyeing you, trying to draw out your secrets with that look in his eyes. That puppy dog look.. Christ.
Desperate to hide the flustered expression covering your face, you played his question off, “What’s what?”
“Whatever is in your hands.” He said quickly.
Caught red handed. Ouch. Your flustered expression dropped into a frown. There was no backtracking now. Stu wasn’t who you were worried about anyways.
“It’s for you and Billy..” You admitted.
Stu was quick to wrap his long limbs around your torso in delight. His hold was tight. Too tight. However, it was impossible not to melt into his grip. He was albeit a big, sometimes scary, teddy bear. One of the cheap ones from the fair though, you thought with a snort. Not stuffed enough, so it’s all lanky and saggy.
“Okay, don’t make it weird when we get in there. Billy doesn’t know.” You practically beg before reluctantly heading inside. Billy was in his room, lounging on his bed, watching some stupid horror flick. His dark eyes eyed Stu and you as you guys walked in. Suspicion— for obvious reasons. You looked like a nervous wreck, and Stu was bouncing on the balls of his feet behind you. Something was up, and it didn’t take a genius to see that.
“Hey guys, he said coolly. You waved at him in return before climbing on to his bed. The three of you sat in a small circle, and you never regretted your life choices more. It was far too late to turn back and run and pretend like you never got them the gift in the first place.
Preparing yourself for humiliation, you ripped the bandaid off. “Okay, even if you hate this, please save me the embarrassment, and don’t make this weird. Just pretend it never happened, got it?” The two nodded. Billy— in confusion. Stu— in excitement. You unclench your fist to reveal three bracelets. Matching, too.
“I- uh. Well- tada??” You said awkwardly before shoving the bracelets in their hands, eager to get rid of them.
As you thought, Stu was like a kid in a candy shop. His smile beamed at you, easing your discomfort. Billy observed the little bracelet before carefully sliding it onto his wrist. You watched in anticipation.
“It’s cute,” he remarked gently. His hand cupped yours as he slid your bracelet on your wrist.
“I’m glad you guys like them,” you said eagerly, “I’ve been wanting to get you guys things for ages, but I thought you guys would think I’m lame!”
“Already do,” Billy teased.
That same flustered expression came right back onto your face, but this time it didn’t feel so mortifying. Maybe being lame wasn’t so bad. Staring down at the matching bracelets on all three of your wrists, you couldn’t help but smile.
You really ought to make them more gifts in the future.
Tumblr media
✎ notes . . . this kinda sucks so I’m sorry— still just trying to get back into the groove of writing, so pls give me a little bit of patience! but this was cute, so thank you for sending in the request <3

Setting up the stream with as much anticipation as you had nerves, you opened Genshin. The loading screen painted your face with its glow as you greeted the chat. They were as equally as excited as you were to finally get your first c6 five star. Bangchan and Felix had, so now it was your turn.
“Ah, I’m nervous, chat.” You said with a big grin. Your fingers danced over Alhaitham’s banner. The chat was spamming good luck messages as you hit your first ten pull.
First ten pull— 4 star.
Second ten pull— 4 star.
Third ten pull— 4 star.
At this point, you couldn’t care less for whatever four stars were joining your character list. All you cared about was getting Alhaitham. The chat cheered you on as you reached the 50/50. With a little exhale, you made that ten pull…
The gold lit up your face, reflecting in your eyes. Biting your lip, you clicked through the weapons and such until the character splash hit your screen.
“Qiqi?!” You exclaimed as you sank down into your gaming chair. The chat exploded in kahoots at your unfortunate outcome. The small zombie stared at you, a painful reminder of your first failed 50/50 of the night.
“Why is it always Qiqi, I swear!” You whined as your fingers dug in your hair. “If anything she’s going to be my first c6 five star.”
With a frown, you claimed her new c3 constellation. The chat found humor at your annoyance. Some pitied you, and donated. With some quick thanks to those who had cared to donate, you returned back to wishing.
Eventually, you hit the guaranteed pity and got him. With a smile, you immediately began playing with Alhaitham, but the job wasn’t over yet. This was only one Alhaitham needed out of 7.
“Should we wish for his weapon?” You asked the chat who immediately exploded into variants of yes. Before you could pull for his weapon though, a familiar username donated.
y/nsupremacy donated $100
“just for good luck ;)”
You grinned at the donation. y/nsupremacy had become a bit of a legend in your streams, always donating high prices and leaving flirty messages. It was a bit of an inside joke in your fandom that he was your sugar daddy.
“I was wondering where my good luck charm was. Thanks, y/nsupremacy!” You said earnestly as you started to wish for Alhaitham’s signature weapon.
On the other side of the screen, Heeseung felt giddy at your words. Being y/nsupremacy was his little secret from the world— exception being the other members of enhypen. Was it the wisest decision to send huge amounts of money to his competition for number one creator on twitch? Definitely not, but he couldn’t help it. The interactions with you, the way his heart raced as your eyes went wide at the amounts of zeros he sent, the shipping between the two of you in chat, etc. It all made his unabashed spending of money all the worthwhile.
He sometimes wished to reveal himself. Change the shipping from y/nsupremacy and y/n to heeseung and y/n, you know? Imagining the internet exploding with the news strangely made him feel butterflies in his stomach. The two of you would be the most powerful content creator on twitch! Heeseung had often had fantasies about collabing with you, seducing you with his charms, yet when he had reached out in the past… he was ignored.
So he settled. If you didn’t want to notice Heeseung as Heeseung, you at least noticed him as y/nsupremacy. As he watched you pull, you now with c2 Alhaitham and his signature weapon, Heeseung heard his dorm room door creak open. He spun around in his chair to see Jay standing in his door way.
Before Heeseung could tell him to get out, Jay was quick to announce why he had came. “Sunghoon ordered us a pizza. Come and eat.”
The urge to shake his head no and tell Jay he would eat later was quickly stripped away from him as the other members started to pile in his doorway. With a sigh, he pushed himself out of his chair and into the living room, followed by the other members with the exception of Jay. Jay scoffed playfully as he watched you gleefully on Heeseung’s monitor. They way you smiled as you pulled yet another Alhaitham con was endearing. Jay quickly exited out of stream, and switched Heeseung to his main before shutting off his PC.
By the time the pizza was devoured, Heeseung was already headed straight back to his room. Eating his last slice, he turned his PC back on and immediately hopped on your stream. You were running low on wishes, yet you were only at c4 Alhaitham. With a devious smirk, Heeseung prepared for his next donation, unaware of which account he was on.
heeseunglee donated $1,000
“you got this, pretty boy ❤️”

Tumblr media Tumblr media
⊹˚.⋆ synopsis . . . [name] gets a call from an unknown caller who is quite the flirt
⊹˚.⋆ starring . . . ambiguous ghostface (billy intended but never stated) & male reader
My index finger delicately traced the cool edge of the countertop mindlessly as I burned holes into the the digitalized numbers on my microwave. An eye-catching, neon green number radiated off the timer’s screen, brandishing the time left until my popcorn was finished popping. The sounds of kernals popping, blossoming into delicious, fluffy popcorn made my mouth drool with anticipation.
With my popcorn finished, the start of my horror movie marathon could begin. The circumstances were right, and something in atmosphere just made this the perfect night for a few slasher flicks. I wasn’t sure what it was exactly that made this very night seem so perfect. Maybe it was the rare weather we were currently experiencing. Living in California, humid days tend to melt into even more humid nights with air so thick it seemed to stick to your skin. My nights were apt to consist of fighting the AC to remain just cool enough to save me from the humidity. This was enough to ruin any aspirations of a horror movie marathon.
But tonight was different. Tonight was unlike any night I had faced before in my 17 years old living in Woodsboro, California. An unfamiliar blue breeze had swept through as the sun ducked down behind buildings and night emerged from the suns departure; a tiny golden blaze of warmth and light on the horizon marking the rebirth of a perfect night from the sun’s ashes.
As I said, I wasn’t sure what really made the night so perfect, but that was my best guess. Nothing else else was out of the ordinary. It was just another day in Woodsboro.
The microwave beeped as the final symphony of pops echoed from the bag. Just a few more seconds before I got my hands on the delicious treat. I licked my lips at the thought. My hand clutched the handle to the microwave wave door as I pulled it open. The bag sizzled as I pinched the very edge of it. The heat from the bag warmed up my hand as I walked past the living room into my room. Just a quick flight of stairs and the marathon would begin!
“RI-I-ING!”
“RI-I-NG!”
The clattering of the phone echoed in the empty house, startling me. My mother usually picked up the phone before it even rang due to her insane motherly intuition, so to hear the rattling scared me more than I would have liked to admit. I shook of my nerves as I clutched the phone, bringing it up to my ear, “Hello?”
“Hello.”
My brows jumped up at the cadence the voiced possessed. It wasn’t by any means human, but strangely, attractive. The raspy, manufactured sound of it sent a chill down my spine. Who’s voice was this? “Hi.” I said back, eager to hear more of the mysterious voice.
“Who is this?” The voice asked.
“[Name]. You?” I answered nonchalantly. But this was just a facade. My foot tapped against the tiled floor, enthusiastic to get the name of the owner of this voice. “That’s a nice name.” The response was curt, leaving me dying for more. “You still haven’t answered my question, you know.”
“What question?”
I rolled my eyes at the remark. “The question I just asked you?”
I could hear the muffled sound of a chuckle from the other end of the line. This must be a prank call after all. I sat on the plush cushion of the couch as I settled the phone in between my ear and my shoulder, awaiting the caller’s response. “I can’t say.”
“You can’t say?” I quirked a brow in disbelief, “Why? Are you a top secret FBI agent or something? Will revealing your identify to me, end you up dead?” I teased.
“No,” the voice drawled out, “But you might.” My shoulders tensed against the soft feel of the couch. “Excuse me?”
“Nothing.” The voice replied as innocently as ever. I sighed in frustration. “Goodbye now.” The phone fell silent as I slammed it back onto the phone stand. My head leaned against the couch. So much for that. I pushed up against the couch, shaking off the encounter and grabbing my abandoned bag of popcorn. Before I could even set a step down to move away from the table, the phone began to ring. I bit my lip in frustration before snatching the phone in my hand. “Look, man, I don’t know who the fuck you are or why the fuck you’re calling, but if you pull some creepy shit like that again, I’m calling the police.”
“Don’t get your panties in such a twist. Just having some fun with you.”
I laughed sarcastically. “There are many other ways you can have fun with me without threatening murder.”
“Is that so?” The voice purred out. The sound of his voice so clearing twisting my words made me cringe. “I didn’t mean it like that.”
“I don’t believe you.”
My brows furrowed. “You don’t believe me? Why?” I asked as I sat back down onto the couch. This guy obviously had no merit to what he was saying so I let myself relax back into the cushion waiting for him to answer me. My waiting; however, was prolonged as there was a long, excruciatingly suspenseful pause before the voice finally responded, “Because I know what you want, [Name].”
“Oh yeah,” I snarked, “And what do I want exactly?”
“Me.”
My face warmed up suddenly. This guy was bold. And a good flirter, no doubt. But I wasn’t one to cave in so easily even if I found his voice extremely attractive. That didn’t mean; however, that I wouldn’t enjoy the man’s attention on me. “You caught me red handed, but I’m afraid my heart belongs to someone else.”
“You got a boyfriend?” There was a brief pause. “Girlfriend?”
“Why should I tell you?” I teased.
“Why shouldn’t you?”
I hummed out, “Good point. But, nah, no boyfriend or girlfriend.”
“That’s surprising.” The man replied. My eyes squinted as my lips pursed. “Really? What makes the fact I’m single so surprising?”
Another long pause followed, and my body tensed with anticipation of what the man would say next. He had drawn me into his game. I was playing checkers while he was playing chess, and now I was simply a pawn in his grasp. The silence on the other end of the phone made my ears reach out for the slightest of sounds. Disappointingly, the only noises I could pick up on were a slight breeze and the sound of rustling against something.
“You still there?” I asked.
“I’m surprised such a pretty boy like yourself is still single.” The voice answered without the hint of stutter. My eyes shot open, wide as saucers as my face heated up to an almost unhealthy temperature. I could feel my mouth go dry as I fumbled for a response that didn’t make me look like a flustered idiot. “H-how d…o you know what… I look like?” I asked embarrassed.
The man snickered at my awkward pauses and stutter. “Do you want to play a game?”
I exhaled a breath at the topic change although it was slightly irritating that he was avoiding my questions yet again. “Sure, but it isn’t fair that I’ve answered all of your questions but you’ve never answered mine, you know.”
Ignoring me once more, the voice went on. “Guess what I’m doing.”
“Bothering me at…” I paused as I checked my watched, “around 12:30 in the morning.”
“Am I really bothering you?”
I chewed on my lip with the slight twinge of guilt overcoming me. “Nah. I didn’t mean that. I actually like talking to you, to be honest.”
“Good.”
“That’s all you gotta say?” I asked.
“Guess where I’m at.”
I blew out past my lips in frustration. What was this guy’s attitude problem? “I don’t know. I mean,” I thought back to the breeze and rustle I heard prior, “Outside, maybe?”
“Correct.”
“Do I get a cookie?” I asked with a large grin spreading across my face.
“I could give you something better than a cookie.”
“Another innuendo? You must be a teenager,” My voice trailed off, “Or a 40 year old bald, greasy perv.”
The voice chuckled. “Which would you prefer?”
“Good question,” I laughed awkwardly, “The teenager. Way less creepy.”
“You’re in luck.” Answered the voice and my knees went weak. Why did that have to be so hot. I felt almost dizzy with attraction. My voice trembled. “So I’m guessing you go to Woodsboro Highschool, right?”
“Why?” The voice asked, but I could practically hear the smirk that dawned his face. “You want to know who I am?”
“And what if I do?”
“I can show you.”
My lips spread out into a toothy grin. “Show me.”
“Say please.”
I felt humiliated but strangely enough, the word that followed left my mouth agape in utter allurement. “Please?”
“Find me.”

「 SEVEN PLAYER GAME ! 」 . . . 📂
eight. smau + written
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⊹˚.⋆ starring . . . heeseung x male reader smau!
⊹˚.⋆ synopsis . . . A member of the prominent youtube group “ENHYPEN” accidentally donates a significant amount of money to a very well-known gaming creator sparking rumors and forced collaborations by their managements.
Tumblr media
To say things between you and Heeseung were tense was an understatement. The tension between you two made you want to bang your head against the passenger seat window ‘til it broke, and then throw yourself out the car only to be run over repeatedly. He definitely heard you guys, and now you had to deal with even more awkwardness between you two. As if it wasn’t awkward enough before.
His gaze was obvious too. Despite him not full on staring, the very frequent glances in your direction just made you want to melt into the seat. And the few times you guys accidentally made eye contact? You prayed for God to strike you down then and there every single time.
As you prayed for this car ride (which seemed to go on for forever to end), Heeseung cleared his throat. You glanced at him, avoiding his big doe eyes, as his eyes traced your face, searching for anything that gave away what he did to you. How didn’t he even remember?
He stared into your eyes as the two of you pulled up to a red light before letting out an exhale, “I’m sorry.”
“For what?” You asked cautiously, trying to tip toe around him confirming he even knew what he did all those years ago.
Heeseung cursed a little under his breath..
“I don’t know.. but I heard you talking with Felix and Chan. I don’t remember what I did, but trust me, I feel like absolute shit about it because I really like you, y/n.” He said, a hint of desperation laced in his voice.
With wide eyes and bated breath, you struggled with your response. It was obvious Heeseung was into you. You’d have to be an idiot not to realize that by now, but that didn’t mean his crush would go any farther than just a crush. You two didn’t have to have this huge confrontation, and you certainly didn’t have to be vulnerable with him. Not when this weird relationship with him wouldn’t go anywhere beyond collabs and clout chasing. With that to ease your decision, you replied stiffly, “It doesn’t matter, it was years ago. I was stupid for holding a grudge against you for something that insignificant to you. I’m sorry.”
Heeseung let out a little sigh of relief, but he couldn’t ignoring the gnawing feeling in his chest. What did he do to you? As he stared at you, looking angelic through the light streaming from the passenger window, he could see the walls you just built between him and you. Running away from what he did, instead of confronting him wasn’t his ideal way to get over this hurdle between you two, but he didn’t want to ask for more from you now. He didn’t feel entitled to.
The silent ride back to the enhypen house was solemn. When you guys pulled into the driveway, you almost jumped out of the car. Space away from Heeseung felt freeing. Everyone piled into the living room. You sat inbetween Chan and Felix, avoiding being any closer to Heeseung than necessary. Chan felt your stress, and placed his hand on your thigh, soothing you with his familiar touch. You gave him a grateful smile before Jungwon began to speak.
“We got some good content today, but we still need to do the challenge video. And then Y/N is staying the night, right? For the sleepover and Heeseung’s livestream?”
You nodded, “We can discuss the other collabs later. Let me go get my bag from my car.”
Felix and Chan followed you out, glancing back to make sure that the three of you were alone. You leaned against the car door, looking at the two men in front of you with a sullen expression.
“He confronted me about it..”
“And..?” Chan asked you with an awkward smile.
“I just told him to move on from it.”
You can see their disappointed looks. Turning away, you opened your car door and grabbed your bag from the backseat. Slinging it over your shoulder, you took a deep breath. “I’ll see you guys tomorrow to film.”
The boys nodded as they glanced at you sympathetically before getting into the car and driving off. You waved them off from the porch before standing there, simply collecting your nerves. One live stream— one stupid sleepover. It’s not the end of the world. Right?
Entering back into the house, you stood awkwardly in front of them fumbling your fingers as their gazes flickered back and forth between where you stood and Heeseung. There was a tension that was between the members. The shared glances between you and Heeseung made one thing very clear. He told them about what had happened in the car. You held your bag tighter, grimacing at the fact. This was going to be a very long night.
Pushing away some hair that had fallen into your eyes, you decided to be a mature, sensible person. You slung your bag over your shoulder, “So where do I set my stuff?”
Sunoo shot up, and scrambled over to your side. His soft hands steered your body to follow him. “My room,” he said happily before opening the door. You set your back down against the wall, before standing up.
“Thanks!” You said gratefully. Sunoo glanced back into the hallway, trying to see if any members were near before shutting his door. He looked you up and down for a moment, making you feel intimidated by his sharp, fox-like gaze.
“I know you’re not the fondest of Heeseung, but please don’t play with his heart. He’s more sensitive than he appears.” Sunoo said. “He’s my family, you know? They all are.” He rubbed his arm slightly as he eyes made direct contact with yours, “So.. don’t be too hard on him.”
You could feel your pulse quicken, and you quickly stammered out, “I’m not playing with him!”
This was not how you wanted this to go down. Did they all think you were a cold hearted schemer? Just because you didn’t like the guy? You almost wanted to leave the house, and put an end to these collabs. That would show them you’re not a clout chaser.
Yet looking at Sunoo, you could see the concern— not that accusatory look in his eye you had initially panicked about. Who wanted to see their best friend get their heart broken? You bit your lip before sighing. Heeseung deserved better than you to be friendly with him momentarily, and then to shun him.
Sunoo lips pursed for a moment. You could see the gears turning in his head as he tried to decipher what you were thinking. With a little exhale, you clenched the fabric of your jeans, almost desperate to ground yourself. “I’m being completely honest. I’m not playing with him. I’ll clear things up with him. Tonight. I swear.”
It wasn’t what you necessarily wanted to do, but it seemed you had no other choice.. Sunoo stared at you before smiling a little. His eyes had a certain gleam in them, “No wonder he likes you.”
Your eyes shot wide at his vague words. He started to exit out the door without saying anything more, but you stumbled alongside him. Sunoo had a little grin at your dazed expression. “What do you mean?!” You asked with a confused grin, trying to see what he meant by that.
Sunoo tarted to giggle as you made your way back to the living room instead of answering you, yet you continued to push him. “What do you meann?!” You whined as you two entered the living room. He winked at you as you sat down, but you huffed in your spot. What did he mean? You glanced over at Heeseung, who was sitting by himself, feeling a little guilty.. He did deserve to know the truth.
With a small scowl, you walked over to him. Your knees brushing against each other as you sat beside him. His eyes traced over your face before landing on your eyes— shock and hope reflecting in his deep brown irises. You tried to resist the small smile at his cuteness. “Ready to stream?” You asked.
His eyes lit up, “Yeah!”
You two stood up with relief— Heeseung glared at the others as they wolf whistled and made faces behind your back. He followed behind you, his tall frame trailing close to you. As you entered the hallway, Heeseung brought you to his room.
Which was.. empty.
“Do you not have a rug or anything?” You said shocked. The room was practically empty except for his bed and gaming set up. Heeseung shrugged as he sat down at his desk. “No.. The members made fun of me for it too.”
“I’ll buy you a rug!” You say with a chuckle as you leaned against the top of his chair. You could see his Adam’s apple bob as he gazed up at you. His eyes crinkled as he smiled at your joke. Peering down at him, you almost couldn’t believe he seemed so cold in the past.
Your finger traced the top of the seat, planning out what you were going to say to him. You took a deep breath before exhaling a quiet, “I’m sorry.”
Heeseung sat up a little. He turned around in his chair to face you more.
“Sorry?” He asked annoyingly charming, his lips quirking.
“For the car— I was an asshole to you.” You said with a slight pout. “I know I didn’t handle it the best, but I really just want you to know I’m done holding that stupid grudge against you. I’m a petty person, at worst, and I let the worst get the best of me.”
Heeseung nodded, listening intently about what you had to say. He smiled up at you in away that made all your worries about your apology go away.
“It’s okay,” he said gently. “Let’s just move past it, for real, this time.”
You nodded as you let out a sigh of relief. Heeseung laughed slightly. You moved to scoot a chair closer to his gaming set up, prepared to stream alongside him. He set up his system before hopping onto league. You watched carefully before pulling out Twitter.

Can you write Thomas Hewitt, Billy Lenz, the Sinclair Brothers, and RZ Michael Myers hearing their s/o refer to something they don't like as "icky-yucky" for the first time? It's a little weird but I say it a lot and I wanna know how they'd react. Thank you!
「 ICKY-YUCKY ! 」 . . . 📂
slashers: various
w.c: 1.14k
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⊹˚.⋆ synopsis . . . how slashers react when their s/o says “icky-yucky”
⊹˚.⋆ starring . . . thomas hewitt, billy lenz, vincent sinclair, bo sinclair, rz michael myers & gn reader
⤷ thomas hewitt
• You know I’m gonna have to bring it up: cannibalism
• Regardless of how you and Thomas met, you’re obviously gonna know that the meat isn’t always.. trustworthy
• He’ll definitely be confused on why you’re apprehensive to eat the plate of food in front of you he just set down
• He’s grown up with it, you know? Plus, it tastes fine to him
• But he’s not gonna force you to eat anything you don’t want to
• Lunda will just buy you other foods with the money they took from you when they took your things
• And I can guarantee that some of the food is definitely out of date and tastes absolutely disgusting
• For example, It’s a hot summer day in the Texas heat, (absolutely unbearable btw coming from a texan) and you and Thomas are out, working.
• Thomas can see the sweat sweeping through your shirt and dripping off your skin, so he decided to get you a fresh cup of lemonade.
• Unfortunately, the lemonade was out of date..
• When Thomas hands you the cup you thank him gratefully and lift the cup to your lips
• The sour taste makes your nose scrunch and the now thick consistency slimes its way down your throat as you swallow it down.
• “Icky-yucky,” you mumble.
• Thomas hears this and tilts his head slightly. Did you not like it? He grabs the cup out of your hand, rushes back to the kitchen, and gets you something else.
• He never wants to disappoint or hurt you
• He threw out the lemonade jug out IMMEDIATELY after getting you something else to drink
• Never want to hear the words “Icky-yucky” from you again (lightheartedly!!) he always wants the best for you
⤷ billy lenz
• We all know Billy has an insane dirty mouth
• And some of the things he says are.. gross
• It was just another day of doing nothing
• You were just lounging on the couch, bored out of your mind with a book in hand
• And you would be lying if you weren’t waiting for the phone to ring
• It had become your duty to answer it as you were the most un-phased by “the moaner”
• And now it excited you, for it was your own form of entertainment
• The phone rings to your delight and you hurry to pick it up
• “Hi Billy”
• “Pretty piggy!”
• His little giggles escape the phone
• “What, what.. is p-piggy doing!?”
• “Reading, what is Billy doing?”
• The most mischievous giggles flood your hearing, “You!”
• You sigh although you have a huge, cheesy smile on your face, “Now that was just.. the opposite of smooth! It was.. uh, icky-yucky!”
• He whines as he repeats the word, almost tasting it. “Icky.. yucky..”
• He starts to repeat it over and over and over before he pauses and his heavy breathing floods your hearing
• And then he speaks
• “I-is Billy icky-yucky?”
• His tone isn’t sad, you can hear the smile on his face
• It’s just harmless teasing, you know?
• You readjust the phone with the smile before responding
• “Yeah but I like icky-yucky”
⤷ vincent sinclair
• Vincent is dedicated to his art
• That’s obvious
• So he’s in the studio a lot
• Making all types of things out a wax
• Cough cough, humans
• So as Vincent’s partner, you’re gonna be in the studio a lot too
• And I can guarantee that there’s a few safety hazards down there
• And you’re at some point going to burn yourself
• Vincent is at his desk, while you’re fiddling around the room, bored out of your mind
• Your fingers grace the walls and the candles mindlessly
• Because of your lack of attention, you fail to see the lit flame above the candle right in front of you
• So as your finger drags across the candles, right into the flame..
• You burn yourself.
• “Ouch!” you yell as you scamper away from the flame
• The burn has started to inflame the tip of your finger as you winced
• Vincent rushed over to you the moment he heard you yell
• His large hands cupped your wrist as he examined the burn
• It wasn’t bad, but you’re probably gonna want to put it in cold water and wrap it up
• But that doesn’t stop Vincent from worrying about you
• You can feel his worry, but you just smile at him and brush a lock of his long, dark hair back. “I’m fine, my finger just feels icky-yucky”
• Vincent tilts his head at the wording but his worry had faded
• He holds your wrist and takes you upstairs to treat your small burn
• He’s an extremely doting and caring boyfriend
• I love Vincent sm
⤷ bo sinclair
• Louisiana is hot
• Pretty obvious fact
• Another obvious fact?
• Bo Sinclair is hot
• I had to, I’m sorry
• Although in the movie, it was Lester who had dealt with the animal remains rather than Bo, I think eventually as Bo’s partner ur gonna have to deal with more than one dead animal rotting away in the Louisiana heat
• You’re in Bo’s truck, driving around to cure your boredom
• Cause being completely honest, things get boring quick in an abandoned town after awhile
• And you spot a dead raccoon on the side of the road
• At the sight, Bo’s parks his truck and looks at it
• He picks the animal by its tail and starts bringing it to your window
• “Isn’t it cute?” He teases with a strong southern drawl
• “No! What’s wrong with you!?”
• “He wants to be your friend, [Name]”
• “Bo, stop! That thing is icky-yucky! Go throw it off the road.”
• He grins cheekily at you before he chucks it off
• As he hops back into the driver’s seat, he turns to you with a smirk
• “It wanted to be your friend..”
• “I will literally kill you.”
⤷ rz michael myers
• It’s a known fact Michael is a murder
• It’s also a known fact that’s he extremely dangerous and threatening
• Are these very good reasons you shouldn’t date him? Yes
• Do you listen to common sense? No!
• That being said, he would never hurt you
• You’re one of the VERY FEW ppl he likes
• But that doesn’t stop him from hurting others
• You hadn’t seen Michael is a bit and it was starting to get dark which made you worry
• You’re at your dining table, working on some paper mache (an interest you wanted to take part in to relate to Michael more)
• When the man himself waltz in through the front door
• His clothes are covered in dried blood
• You can not only see it but also smell it
• “Mickey, no offense, but can you PLEASE change? That blood is just icky-yucky.”
• He stares at you for a bit before going to your room and changing
• Michael likes your honesty a lot
• Plus the fact you were not scared by the blood, but rather disgusted?
• for lifers with this beautiful man

⊹˚.⋆ starring . . . cedric diggory & male reader
It was hopeless.
That was what Cedric repeated to himself as he laid in the mess he called a bed. It seemed that every time he tried to woo you over, you rejected him! His advances always fell flat no matter how hard he tried.
His countless confessions always ended up with you giving him an awkward smile and saying later; although, by now he knew later would never come.
A frown scorned his face at the sound of the dorm's door creaking open. Cedric turned away from the soft light that poured through the door. He didn't want anyone seeing him; the hero of hufflepuff, so defeated.
"Cedric?" The familiar, feminine tilt of the voice made Cedric turn over to see who was asking for him. There stood Cho Chang; her scarf wrapped around her neck snug with a concerned expression decorating her face.
Cedric knew why she was here, but he couldn't even bother saying anything to the girl. He was hurting too much.
Small steps rang out as they got closer to Cedric's bed until they eventually stopped. A small, gentle hand placed itself on Cedric's shoulder, "Cedric?" Cho's voice was comforting and Cedric finally looked her in the eye; eyes rimmed red.
"Oh, Cedric," Cho cooed. She had never seen Cedric so hurt, but so many rejections do take it's toll at one point. Cedric was her best friend, and to see him so depressed made her heart swell in pity. "It'll be okay. If [Name] can't see that you're an amazing guy; he's dumb.
“Besides, there's ton of other fish in the sea," Cho flashed the heartbroken boy a smile to try to cheer him up, but Cedric's frown deepened.
Cedric sat up from his laid out position, brushing Cho's hand off his shoulder, "I don't want anyone else, Cho. I love him!" Cedric ran his fingers through his mop of brunette locks, "I need him to accept my feelings. I can't live without him."
Cho nodded as she processed Cedric's words.
She knew that he wouldn't accept any other propositions about what to do if it didn't end up with you in his arms. With a purse of her lips, an idea hit her. You loved rom coms! It seemed every other week you would be watching some type of muggle rom com with a love struck look in your eyes in the Ravenclaw common room.
All she needed to do now was to teach Cedric about these romance movies, so he could learn the techniques the male leads used that won your heart!
With an ambitious glint in her dark eyes, Cho took Cedric's hands and dragged him up, ready to show him the way to your heart. As the two stormed off to the Ravenclaw dorm, preparing to go through your DVD collection, they ran into the source of this adventure; you.
Your hands planted against Cedric's chest, balancing yourself before recollecting your composure and observing the two. Cho's hair has developed a bit of frizz, and the usual perfect placement of Cedric's hair was all over the place.
"Cedric! Cho! What are you two doing?" You asked as you awkwardly moved your hands away from Cedric's hard chest to your sides.
Cedric's eyes danced your face, taking in your breathtaking features as his perfect, pink lips spread open in response; leaving his lips agape with no words leaving his mouth. You had that charming yet awkward smile that usually occupied your face, and Cedric's mind had drawn a blank on the excuse he had thought of.
In luck, Cho was able to cover for Cedric who was staring at you, gaping like a fish, "We were actually looking for you!" A grimace placed itself on your face as you remembered how a few hours earlier you had rejected Cedric, and figured that that was the reason they wanted to see you. You turned to the boy with an apologetic expression, "I'm really sorry about earlier. We're good, right?" Cedric nodded dumbly before Cho cut into the conversation,
"Actually, Cedric, here is taking muggle studies, and he is doing a project on muggle movies! I always see you watching them in the common room and thought you might help him!"
Oh!" You rubbed the back of your neck awkwardly, "Well, I feel kinda stupid now, but, yeah, I can let you borrow some of my movies." You began to waltz off to the dorm as Cho gave Cedric a first pump from behind your back.
Cedric didn't return the enthusiasm; his attention being transfixed on the warmth your hands had left on his robes from the two of you running into each other.
The Ravenclaw dorm hadn't changed from the last time Cedric went in there to hang out with Cho. Everything had stayed the same. Cedric inhaled; getting wafted by the smell of candles, books, and ink. It smelt like you. You disappeared into the boy's dorm before coming out will a tall, leaning stack of DVDs. As you stepped forward toward the pair, the DVDS wobbled, and Cedric rushed to catch them. The tip of his fingers brushed against yours as they leaned against his chest. He sent you a cheesy smile, "That was a close one."
You nodded in agreement and moved to set the stack of movies on the tabletop. Cedric dawned a small frown at the feeling of your fingers leaving his, but quickly covered it when you turned back around to the two, "Well, here's my collection! What kind of movies are you looking for?”
Cedric stayed silent until Cho elbowed him, "Ow!" He gritted his teeth as he held his hip in pain, "Uh, Romance movies?"
Your eyes practically sparkled at the mention as you smiled like a just won the lottery and quickly sprung into a ramble, “I love romance movies! Everybody makes fun of me for liking them as much as I do with me being a guy and all, but who says guys can't like romance movies? They're always like, 'That's gay; and I'm like, 'Guess what? I am, so fuck off; but still, it is so exhausting." The glow in your eyes died down as you remembered the interaction which Cedric took immediate notice to. He placed his hand on your shoulder in an attempt to comfort you, "Well, if you ever want some company or someone to talk to about romance movies; l'm here."
Your eyes softened and the sparkle in your eye came back. You couldn't help but feel bad for never giving Cedric a chance. Sure, he was every students' dream guy with his tall, muscular body, dreamy eyes, and perfect, honeycomb eyes, but you didn't know him enough to ever consider him as a romantic option. The voice in your head that had so far been screaming at you to get away from Cedric was quiet, and you couldn't help but start to understand why everyone loved Cedric.
Cho stood to the side as she watched the two of you gaze into each others eyes like the other had hung the moon and smiled to herself. Her job here was down, and she turned away with lithe steps in the direction of the girls dorm room; planning to tell all her friends about her matchmaker activities with Hufflepuffs' golden boy and Ravenclaws' certified filmbro.
Cedric caught Cho's departure in his peripheral vision and tried to fight the urge drag her back.
What kind of wingwoman ditches mid-seduction? Your gaze followed to where Cedric's was glaring at and found that Cho had left, "Oh, Cho left. Did she have to go somewhere?"
Cedric forced a smile as he cursed at Cho internally, "Yeah, had a... thing to do in the library." You nodded and turned to your pile, trying to brush off the feelings that had overcame you while looking in Cedric's eyes.
Said boy was peering over your shoulder as you separated the movies into two piles. His brows furrowed trying to figure out how you were deciding which one you were giving him, and how he would manage to make you fall for him with them. He tapped your shoulder, "How are you separating them?"
"I'm giving you my favorite romance movies," you pointed at the huge stack, "That's all of my movies including the ones l'm giving you, so I gotta sort them out." Cedric nodded his head but wanted to keep talking to you, "Which ones are your favorites? I want to hear your thoughts on them for my project." He would pat himself on the shoulder if he could. That was one good lie.
You could feel yourself about to spring off into a ramble and scolded yourself internally. Most people shunned you for your rambles, but for some reason you couldn’t quite place, you felt comfortable enough with Cedric to let go of your embarrassment about rambling, “Well, that’s a tough question,” you chuckled nervously, “I would say 10 Things I Hate About You, The Notebook, and Flipped.”
Your fingers clenched the new found DVD of 10 Things I Hate About You, “This one is just so fun to watch, you know? My favorite scene is when the main guy, Patrick, is singing infront of everyone during her soccer practice just to apologize to her. It’s so sweet.”
Cedric felt himself fall for you even more as your eyes glowed with love, “That’s what I love about romance movies! The guys are always so devoted to proving their love. In The Notebook, he writes her a love letter everyday for a year.”
You spun around back to your collection, scouring for the other two movies. Your hand grasped the DVD for Flipped and you handed it to Cedric, “In this one, he plants a tree for her because the one she loved got cut down.” Your hands filtered through the pile as you searched for The Notebook before finally finding it, “Well, that’s all of them. I hope your project does well.”
Cedric traced the spine of the movies as he nodded nervously but with a goal set in place in his heart. If he could show you that he loved you by doing those things, you might just finally accept his feelings. He gave you a quick, "Thank you" before leaving you and preparing for the journey up ahead.
╰┈➤
It had taken a few try's but Cedric had figured out how to play the movies you had given him. He sat in-front of the movie that was starting with a journal and pencil in hand. The first movie was, The Notebook; and Cedric was ultra-focused on it. He remembered how you spoke so highly of the letters Noah had written Allie, and looked at the crisp, lined-sheet of paper. The quill that rested in between his fingers felt like a testament to his love for you. All he had to do know was write you something that would take your breath away.
Cedric's quill danced along the paper in swirls and loops as cursive took over the page. He wanted to make the letter look nice for you. His fingers were clenching the quill so hard to the point pain shot out of his finger tips. Cedric ignored the pain in his fingers as his letter neared to an end.
Cedric's fingers burned red as he dropped the quill onto his bed. His eyes scanned the now finished letter over and over; trying to guarantee it was perfect before he sent it off to you. With a pleased smile, Cedric set off to the owlery for you to open the letter tomorrow during breakfast.
And before he knew it, breakfast had arrived.
Cedric's eyes were latched onto you as he played around with the food on his plate anxiously. Cho sat next to you, sparing glances at Cedric every so often. Cedric had told Cho about what would happen during breakfast, and she was scouting your reaction for him.
The owls swept into the dining hall in unison, and Cedric felt his chest swell with anxiety. It wasn't exactly anonymous with the timing of it all, and knowing your brains, it wouldn't be difficult for you to figure out it was Cedric who wrote the letter; in fact, it wouldn't be difficult at all.
Your owl dropped the rolled up piece of paper onto your empty plate as it flew over your head.
Cedric had tied the paper together with a [favorite color] ribbon for more appeal, and so he could pin point that it was his letter you were opening.
He watched as your fingers delicately untied the ribbon. The letter unraveled and you began to read the heartfelt words pour out onto the paper:
"Dear [Name],
There are many things I would like to say to you, but there's only so much room on a piece of paper. That doesn't mean I didn't try though!
You are everything I have ever wanted and so much more.
Whether it's your smile or your sense of humor or your desire to please everyone around you; you have made me fall for you. And trust me when I say; I fell hard.
I didn't know what loving someone meant until I met you. I've had crushes in the past, but none of them have made me feel the way you do. You make me feel like I'm the greatest wizard in the world, and I will never be able to thank you enough for that.
I'm running out of paper, so l'll make this quick:
I love you.
Always yours..
Your eyes lifted off the paper and flickered to where Cedric sat. It was a quick glance, but it made Cedric's heart race in an emotion between hopefulness and nervousness he couldn't quite discern.
Cho's squeals rang in your ears as your mind raced. Of course you knew it was Cedric who had written the letter. The timing couldn't have been a coincidence, yet that feeling of refusal that usually swept through you when Cedric made his advances wasn't there this time. It shocked you, but you couldn't ignore the blossoming feeling in your heart.
You were falling for Cedric Diggory.
Your eyes flickered back to where the boy sat at the Hufflepuff table. Cedric was gazing at you with that look in his eyes he usually held when he confessed his feelings for you, and you couldn't help the soft, tight lipped smile that stretched across your face at the sight.
If this meant what you thought it did than you were more than enthusiastic for what was to come.
╰┈➤
Game day was always nerve-wracking for Cedric. The whole of Hufflepuff depended on him to make them proud, but today only one person's opinion mattered to him; yours.
The second movie you had given him was 10 Things I Hate About You, and now it was time for him to recreate the iconic scene you said you loved.
The mic shook in his hand as he waltzed out onto the stands. Everyone was there with rumors spreading about Cedric doing something special, and Cho had guaranteed you were there too. With a shaky breath, Cedric walked out onto the stadium as the steady instrumental of 'Can't Take My Eyes Off of You' began to play.
He closed his eyes as the words of the song poured out of his mouth. Cedric was by no means a good singer, but if this is what it took to get you in his arms, he would sing for the rest of his life. Cheers followed his movements as he pointed at where you sat. You were covering your face with your hand, but your eyes were crinkled in joy.
The words flowed out easier as Cedric's eyes stayed focused on you instead of the hoard of students watching him. His movements became more relaxed as he danced around on the stadium's seats before sitting among the crowds as the chorus came to an end. Cheers drowned out the stadium hurting both your and Cedric's ears. Cho pushed your hand away from your face revealing the big toothy grin that had taken over the lower half of your face. It was the happiest Cedric had ever seen you before and he mirrored your smile.
Teachers were rushing toward where Cedric sat amongst the crowd, but he could've cared less for the scowls on their faces and the strides they took toward him. Stage 2 was a success, and Cedric couldn't help the tsunami of hope washing over him that after stage 3, you would finally be his boyfriend after all these years of trying.
Unbeknownst to Cedric, his hope wasn't too far off. The letters he had been sending you since that day in the great hall sat under your bed in a beautifully decorated box you had made specifically for them, and your face held a certain warmth as you watched the teachers pull the boy by his arms away from the crowd.
You were in love with Cedric Diggory.
╰┈➤
The wind blew in your hair as you stood in the middle of the green, newly-cut grass field behind Hogwarts. In the letter you had been given today from a certain Hufflepuff boy, a riddle had directed you to where you now stood. Suspicions of what could be going on had racked your brain since you received today's letter from Cedric. The third movie you had given Cedric was Flipped, and if he continued his current pattern, he would be planting a tree right here for you.
Your fingers twitched against your leg as you searched the area for Cedric. You considered yourself a patient person, but at the moment, all the patience you once had was gone.
To your relief, Cedric was walking toward you; his fist clenched by his side. A seed rested in his palm. He had taken the proper precautions for planting the seed earlier before your letter was delivered, and now was the time.
The sound of footsteps coming toward you caused you to turn around. Cedric walked toward you as you waved at him with a dorky smile, "Hi."
"Hi." Cedric cleared his throat awkwardly, catching your attention, "| guess you already know why I'm here, but, uh, here I am anyways.
And I'm sure you already know what is going on His voice shook as he continued, "I have loved you since the moment I saw you, and I know you wouldn't let me show it, but I couldn't let that stop me. I know that in the past you've rejected me and you might now, but I need to do this."
You nodded as Cedric opened his fist to reveal the dark, small seed that rested against his palm, "| want to be with you. I want to keep writing love letters to you, and doing embarrassing things just to make you smile even if it means I get detention. If- if you'd like that, please take this seed."
Your eyes fell onto the seed as your hand reached out to take it, “I'd like that. I'd like that a a lot actually.” You took the seed out of his hand; examining it, "I must say, Diggory, you really know how to win a guy's heart."
Cedric laughed as he took you in his arms relief taking over him, "I learned from the best."
"True." you added with a small giggle, "I do want my movies back though."
"No way." Cedric joked as he shook his head, "| like them too much now to give them back."
"Don't press your luck, Diggory. l've rejected you before, and I can reject you again" You playfully glared at the boy who was just grinning at you as giddy as ever, "Okay! Fine! We can share."
Cedric smiled against the top of your head as daydreams of laying with you took over his mind while the two of you watched one of your many rom coms.
"We really should plant this tree now." you whispered.
"Yeah, we should"
The two of you separated away from the hug as you bent down to the freshly dug hole in the ground. Cedric's hand cupped yours as you placed the seed into the hole, his fingers interlocking with yours, "I love you"
"I love you too."
Cedric couldn't help but kiss you like he had dreamed of doing all these years. It was as heavenly as he had imagined, and couldn't help but thank the movies that had helped him win you over and into his arms.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
⊹˚.⋆ synopsis . . . it was just another night til [name] got those two very odd calls
⊹˚.⋆ starring . . . billy loomis, stu macher, & male reader
The night had taken over Woodsboro, California. An unfamiliar blue breeze had swept through as the sun ducked down behind buildings and night emerged from the suns departure; a tiny golden blaze of warmth and light on the horizon marking the rebirth of a perfect night from the sun's ashes. On any other night, I would've been tucked into bed with a song blaring into my ear drums, surely destroying my hearing, but today was Monday, which meant that I had the displeasure of closing up the video store for the night.
Despite my lack of enjoyment in being there, it was mine turn, fair and square. Randy had closed yesterday, so it was rightfully my duty to clean the shop and lock it up until the following day when we would open back up for business. That was the mantra I had repeated to myself as I dusted the shelves and the many dvds that were placed against each other like dominos that occupied the space. It was a dreadfully boring task, but I needed the money, so I made due.
A yawn escaped my mouth as I finished up the sci-fi section. My eyes flickered up to the ticking analog clock above the entrance doors. The clocks hands pointed to a quarter past twelve. My cheeks puffed out as I blew a frustrated mouthful of air into the atmosphere. I'd have no time to finish Randy's pre-calculus homework and be able to deliver it to him before first period. I cursed under my breath at the realization. Hopefully he would be fine with me giving it to him after school.
I blinked tiredly as I stumbled towards the reception desk, dropping the duster off at desk's newly wiped down countertop. All I had to do now was check the register; my last task before I could go home and flop into my bed. Opening the register, my fingers agilely sorted through the money. I spoke in a hushed voice, counting how much we had made the previous day. As the dollars increased in price, my sorting got slower and slower 'til I arrived to see the crisps $20 and $50 bills that occupied the bottom of the stack. All of it put together was more than I made in a week.
I bit my lip as my hand clutched an $100 bill that rested at the very bottom of the pile. Rent was coming up soon, and I knew we wouldn't have enough unless a miracle happened. This could be that extra push that my family so desperately needed so we didn't end up on the streets. My eyes scanned the store, making sure nobody could witness my thievery. Luckily, we had no cameras, so my crime would go unnoticed. I stuffed the money into my jacket pocket before shutting the register shut. My eyes shut as I exhaled a breath of relief. The money burned in my pocket. Guilt chewed at me but I just shook the feeling away. We needed this. I needed this.
With that being my final task of the night, I moved into the break room to grab my stuff. My backpack laid pressed up against the wall alongside my packed lunch. I leaned down as I slid the sleeves around my arms, putting my backpack on. I grabbed my lunch pal before brushing the dust off my clothes. It was finally time to go home. My hand wrapped around the cool metal of the door handle before being rudely interrupted.
"RI-I-ING!"
...
"RI-I-NG!"
The clattering of the phone echoed in the empty store, startling me. Who would be calling at this time of night? I sighed as I closed the door to the break room and made my way to the still ringing phone. It shone under the light that streamed from the window, its red coat looking as beautiful as ever. My fingers wrapped around the phone as I brought it up to my ear. "Hello?"
"Hello." The assumed man replied from the other side of the phone; his voice not hinting any emotion. Despite that, I didn't mind the monotone inflection in his voice as a yawn escaped past my lips. "Is there any reason you're calling so late? We're closed, you know."
"Why do you think I'm calling?" The man answered with the same monotonous tone as before. My eyes squinted with confusion at the question. I had gotten weird calls before but never ones so vague. To be frank, it annoyed me. "To buy a movie?" I remarked sarcastically. "Call back during store hours, asshole."
"Such vulgar language," the man laughed, finally leaving behind his monotone cadence, "I should wash that mouth of yours with soap."
I rolled my eyes, "You're gonna spank me too?" My voice had gotten higher in pitch and whiny as I mocked the man by mimicking the tone of a child. A hum escaped the other line in an endless reply to my tease. As the hum continued on, I checked the analog clock once more as my patience wore thin. 12:20. My attention darted back to the phone as I stood waiting for the man to say anything in return. With nothing but the now dreadful sound of a hum escaping the line, I slammed the phone back into its rightful place.
"Dick," I mumbled as my had flattened on the cool surface of the entrance doors. What a way to make my night worse. I shook my head as the heel of my shoe clicked against the solid concrete of the sidewalk. Walking alone at night usually never unnerved me, but something in the air made my muscles tense in fear. My mind trailed back to the call, yet I immediately disregarded it. It was just some teenager trying to mess around with an overworked employee such as myself.
Maybe it was something in the atmosphere that unnerved me so, I reasoned. I wasn't sure what exactly, but tonight felt different from most nights here in Woodsboro, California. The air wasn't as suffocating, for one. Usually the air would be so thick it seemed to stick your to your body, yet I didn't feel any of that thickness tonight. In fact, I felt a slight chill.
My hands dug into my pockets, trying their best to a avoid the nighttime cold that swept through the area. The money laid in the palm of my hand, providing me some warmth. I looked up to see the night sky shining down on me. Stars lit up my way home, providing me a companion on my walk. My gaze darted back down as slight tears welled up in the corners of my eyes. "Not now," I mumbled. I quickly wiped away the singular tear the fell down my cheek.
As much as I hated to admit it, crying had begun a frequent habit of mine. I only allowed a few tears to slip out when I was alone, but my solitude didn't diminish my shame for being such a wimp. I crinkled my nose as I sniffled a bit trying to keep my composure intact. When I was younger and my calm composure would fall, Cotton or my mom would comfort me. But now, neither of those were options. Cotton was in jail and would be for the rest of his life. And my mom? She had become a shell of herself after Cotton's arrest. She wouldn't move or talk or do anything anymore. In truth, she was a living corpse. Bony face, bloodshot eyes, sluggish movements. The only difference between her and an actual corpse is the few times she would moan out "Cigarette" to me.
It was impossible to ignore the resentment that had built up towards my mother. She had abandoned me, yet forced upon the responsibility of taking care of her onto me all at once. I gritted my teeth as I kicked a decently sized rock. If Cotton was still here, Mom wouldn't have become this zombie. She would still be her regular self. Not this dead version of her. Another tear slipped down my cheek. It burned against skin.
Cotton should be here. Everything would be just fine if he was. Our family wouldn't be shunned, I'd have my big brother back: we'd be just like any other family in Woodsboro. I bit my lip as I looked up to the sky once more. Cotton's last words to me echoed in my head, "When you miss me, just know I'm not lightyears away." He had flashed me a grin so bittersweet before the guards dragged him away. They had yanked on his handcuffs roughly, motioning for him to start backing away. His eyes widened in panic at the feeling.  "I love you, [Name]. Tell mom I love her too." He said quickly before he was taken away. It had happened too fast for my sixteen year old brain to follow. He was there one moment, and then he wasn't.
I shook off the memory as I reached my front door. I didn't bother knocking as I unlocked the door. My mother wasn't in sight, causing my shoulders to drop with relief. I hurried to Cotton's and I shared room, jumping out the rickety, old mattress. The springs poked me, but I payed no mind. Being in a bed was enough for me to be satisfied. I groaned as I turned over onto my back. The ceiling had a couple stains, and the cracks in the corners were getting worse. "We gotta get that fixed," I mumbled although I knew better. We wouldn't be able to afford it.
My eyes closed in frustration. There was too many things to fix but never enough money. I sighed as my hand dug into my pocket. $100 dollars wasn't enough to fix any of our problems. It was a penny when we needed a quarter. A hundred quarters, actually. I shoved myself off my bed as I headed to the kitchen. It was too depressing to be in there alone with the leaky and cracked ceiling. But worst of all, the hints of Cotton that still haunted the room. All his possessions still laid untouched with the exception of his clothes. None of my old ones fit anymore but we couldn't afford a whole new wardrobe simply because I had a growth spurt. His action figures collected dust on the shelf above his bed, his bed was as messy as always, Cotton never took the time to make his bed,
The kitchen was lightly dimly by the small, slightly flickering light above the dining table. My index finger delicately traced the cool edge of the countertop, mindlessly, as I reached for the case of red, plastic cups that laid by the phone. I prayed water would settle my restless mind. The sink gradually filled the cup to the brim with the liquid that would hopefully quench my ranging emotions.
Bringing the cup to my lips, my gaze turned to the phone. My mind couldn't help but think about the odd phone call from earlier. What idiot calls at the middle of the night? I set the drink down as my finger ran up and down the spine of the phone. Maybe he was high, I figured. Or drunk. Hell, maybe it was just a teenager goofing around. My lips pursed in the wake of my troubling thought: why was I was bothered? The call didn't mean anything, so why was it lingering in my head?
"RI-I-ING!"
...
"RI-I-NG!"
My eyes squinted harshly at the phone. What the fuck? It was odd to get a phone call this late, let alone multiple, yet the phone continued to ring, reminding me that what I was seeing wasn't a hallucination. To add onto that, the call coming in just as I was thinking about it? This was either a crazy coincidence or something truly freaky was going on. My fingers clutched the phone, giving me a sense of deja vu, as I held it up to my ear. "Who is this?" I asked.
"You don't remember me?" I jerked my hand away as my eyes stared down the phone. It was him. How was it him? I bit my lip as my eyes burned. This couldn't be just a coincidence. There was no way in hell it was. "How'd you get this number?" I interrogated the man. He laughed a strangely familiar but equally as cruel laugh, "Small town."
My nails dug into the countertop at the force of my deafening grip. "This isn't funny, you know. And I swear, if this is you, Randy, I am going to snap your neck tomorrow."
"I'm not Randy." The voice replied laced in smarminess.
"Then who are you?" I asked. My question was by no means friendly. Which in truth, it wasn't meant to be interpreted in any means as friendly. There was a slight pause before that deafening voice answered me once more, "I'm the person that framed your poor, older brother." My grips on the phone loosened as my eyes gazed at the phone with the memory of that fateful courtroom day. Billy. Was this him?
It certainly didn't sound like him. I bit my lip harshly as my mind bounced back and forth. If I responded, would I be giving him exactly what he wanted? But if I did hang up, I would be angering someone dangerous. Before a clever response could leave my mouth, Billy's presumed voice broke out. "Cat got your tongue?"
"Is this who I think it is?" I barked out. I didn't care for the taunts or tease. All I wanted was for this torture to come to an end. Billy Loomis had made my life a hell ever since that courtroom. He painted me as murderous, a freak, someone to avoid. Billy Loomis had a way with words, and with those words he had outcasted me. Made me laughed at, teased, bullied. It was my own personal form of hell.
"Depends. Who do you think I am?"
"Billy," I mumbled under my breath. "Billy Loomis."
"You're gonna have to speak louder than that, or else I won't be able to hear you." The voice replied. I scowled as my knuckles turned white. "I said I'm hanging up on you," I lied. The phone slammed against the kitchen wall as I clutched my head in pain. What was happening? And why now? I shook my head as I head back to my bedroom and flopped into the bed. The smell of Cotton still hung in the room and I inhaled it sharply, trying to wash away any remainders of the odd phone call.
Yet the call remained in my head, smothering me. My fingers clenched the sheet in frustration. There was no way I was getting much sleep tonight so I let myself stay awake, gazing into the blackness of my pillow. All I could do now was pray it was a meaningless prank call, and not the devilish boy that haunted my dreams.

⊹˚.⋆ synopsis . . . Waking up from a coma, the events that followed the Macher house massacre are revealed to you by a familiar face. Except, they’re not how the story actually went…
⊹˚.⋆ starring . . . billy loomis, stu macher, & male reader
My name is [Name] Riley.
I am 17 years old.
I am sitting in a hospital bed.
I miss my bed.
My butt hurts.
I miss my home.
...
I miss my sister.
I shook my head as I threw down the pencil onto my lap with a frustrated sigh. My fingers ached from the force I held the pencil with while writing in my newly appointed journal. Mr. Ryder, the psychiatrist that had been appointed to me, had given me the journal to document my mental state since the massacre at the Macher party as I way to make sure I was doing okay, yet it felt more like torture than a way to check up on how I was feeling mentally.
The only relief it gave me was a false sense of company. I hadn't spoken to anyone since I had been put into this room except the nurses that came and went, my doctor, and my psychiatrist. I ignored the outside world's efforts to get me to face the people I had betrayed despite the knocks on my door and the letters slipped into my room. It was lonely, no doubt, but I was too much of a coward to face the reality of what I had done.
What they had done.
The blood on their hands. The blood on mine. It stained. Stained my mind with guilt of what I had done; the path I had chosen. 10 people had died that night, and I could've prevented all 10 of them if I hadn't been so caught up in my own feelings.
In the end, I prevented one. One death. Yet the guilt didn't diminish in the slightest. The blood didn't wash away. Everything remained the same. Everyone remained dead. Except me.
I had hoped I would die that night whether it was on the floor or on that stretcher, but fate had refused to show me pity. Fate decided I needed to be punished for what I had done by keeping me alive. But that wasn't punishment enough; fate felt the need to punish me even more. Fate had kept them alive as well.
Billy Loomis and Stu Macher were alive and all because of me. I had saved them from death that night but sacrificed some of the people I loved the most. It was a fair price to pay for my actions, but I didn't realize that the transaction would actually happen. That they would actually be dead. Even as I thought that, my brain couldn't process the fact that they were dead. That they were all dead.
Tatum was dead.
Dewey was dead.
Randy was dead.
Gale was dead.
Dead, dead, dead, and more dead.
I coughed awkwardly as I averted my attention away  from the journal and my depressing mindset to the hoard of pity gifts resting around my room. They had been gifted to me from all sorts of people; relatives, friends, even people I had never even talked to. I hadn't bothered reading a single one. They saw me as a hero. A survivor. I couldn't face them knowing that I was anything but those things.
The bright pop of colors of the gifts contrasting against the plain, white walls of my bleak hospital room was distraction enough from my thoughts, but just staring at the huge array of them made my mind reel in guilt. With a sigh, I leaned my head back against the plush pillow, shutting my eyes. Sleep called out my name begging for me to relax into the bed just as it had been It was routine at this point. Ever since I arrived here, sleep was all I seemed to do. After all, it was the only distraction from my horrid thoughts.
As my mind began to turn off, a knock at the door resonated from the far corner of my room, but I payed no mind. Knocks were frequent and expected at this point. As I learned from experience, they usually leave after about a minute or two of knocking, so I expected the same routine to follow. At least until the knocking persisted for minutes on end after the first knock. My brows flexed in annoyance as my patience drew thin. "Can't you give a guy some peace?" I yelled out.
A muffled voice yelled back out to me in response, "[Name]? It's me, Sidney! Please open the door." My eyes shot wide open as I tumbled out of the hospital bed, rushing to open the door. I hadn't heard from Sidney since I instructed her to fake her death many weeks ago. While one of the nurses had told me Sidney visited while I was stuck in my coma when I first barely woke up with a teasing, "Your girlfriend came around. She was so worried! How cute! Yada yada," but refused to tell me anything I actually yearned to know about her visit.
I had been hoping she would come back to see my now that I wasn't unconscious, so to hear her voice from the other side of the door was liberating. Exciting, even. I launched the door open to see to Sidney standing there, "Sid-"
"[Name]."
"You're alive," I gasped with relief. Sidney Prescott was alive. My grand scheme had succeeded. I wrapped my arms around Sid's waist as I pulled her into a hug; her head fell into the crook of my neck, mumbling, "I thought you died."
"I thought you died," I said. Sidney chuckled weakly as she pulled away, yet still keeping her hands on my shoulders. Her eyes shown under the fluorescent light with a hopeful gleam. "Thank you."
"For what?" I asked, genuinely confused. I had done nothing, in my opinion, that was deserving of a thank you from anyone, Sidney especially. I wasn't aware of how far back her knowledge of what actually went down was, but I didn't think twice about underestimating her. For all I could know, she knew everything that I had done alongside Billy and Stu.
"For saving my life?" Sidney joked but her tone held sincerity underneath the layer of sarcasm. My confused expression slipped away into something morbid as guilt overcame me once more. Although, in truth, I did save Sidney's life; it didn't feel right for her to thank me. I had betrayed her trust, friendship, etc under the guise of my "investigation." I had went behind her back about Cotton Weary, got together with her boyfriend who happened to be the actual criminal behind her mother's brutal murder, killed her father, and helped the same murders with their plan to kill her.
I brushed her hands off my shoulders as I headed back to my bed. How could I face her knowing she thought of me so sincerely? I sat on the edge of my bed with my head resting on my palms. My eyes stared holes into the white tile of the ground. The sound of shoes tapping against the floor made me shut my eyes. Sidney was heading my way without a doubt, and I dreaded every click of her shoe against the time.
The clacking stopped as the spot next to me was occupied by Sidney, "Are you okay?" I nodded weakly as I turned to her. I couldn't let my emotions get in the way; something I learned the hard way. "How are you here, Sid? Doesn't everyone think you're dead? And what about Billy and Stu? If they know you're alive, they'll come after you." My voice was urgent and a tad bit frantic. These were questions I had been asking myself ever since that nurse told me Sidney came by, and I truly did need them answered.
"They really haven't told you anything?" Sidney asked with shock laced in her tone. My brows furrowed as I thought back to the authority figures that had been taking care of me. Was there really something they've been hiding from me that was so important? Is that why the nurse refused to tell me anything about Sid's initial visit? "What do you mean?"
Sidney grasped my hand in hers. Her eyes were scanning my face, making my stomach churn with anxiety. She was looking for something. I didn't know what it was nor if she would find it. Hell, I didn't even know what "it" was. Sid's eyes shone with pity, "Everyone knows I'm alive, [Name]. They know about you saving me too."
"What?!" I asked as my chest began to swell with anxieties. What happened while I was in my coma? What happened to Billy and Stu? I gasped for air as my head raced, "How?"
"Hey, hey, calm down," Sidney rested her other hand on the back of my shoulder, trying to keep me steady. "Let me explain." I nodded as I took some breaths. I wasn't going to get anywhere by having a panic attack.
"I did as you said and hid away. I was heading to sneak into the police car when I saw your mom by the garage." My eyes widened at that. My mom had came? But my shock quickly washed away into despair as I remembered she probably saw Tatum's blood staining the garage door. I wasn't sure if Sidney sensed my sadness, but if she did she payed no mind. "She was upset- but she was just asking if you were safe. I told her about your plan, and she took me home with her."
I nodded, eager to hear the rest of what she had to say. Sidney took my nod with a stride as she continued, "We all thought you were dead. Week after week, the doctor would say the same thing, so your mom wanted to ensure you and Dewey and Tatum and everyone else got the justice they deserved. She got this lawyer and was determined to arrest Billy and Stu after I had told her everything that they had done."
My fingers twitched against my leg as I froze. Billy and Stu hadn't visited me once... Was this the reason why? Were they seriously locked away while I was in this coma? But those questions only led to one; one question I couldn't wrap my head around. Why would they keep my innocence intact?
Love? No way.
"Did they?" I asked. Sidney nodded as she wrapped her arms around me. "We don't have to worry about them, anymore. They can't terrorize us nor our families anymore." I smiled as she wiped the leaking tears out of her eyes. It was a fake smile. My mind was elsewhere, and I could not be happy for either of us in the moment.
Sidney sensed that and backed away from me. Her eyes scanned my face before she stood up. "It's a lot to digest, so I'll give you some space. See ya later, [Name]." I waved bye at her as she excited the hospital room, but my happy facade was gone as soon as her presence was out the door.
Billy and Stu were arrested? And I'm now a hero? What? I felt the migraine take over my body as I bit my lip. What had happened? My thought process was interrupting once more as a knock came from the door. I rolled my eyes. "Come in!" I yelled. Yet no one did. My brows furrowed as a small slip of presumed paper slid out from under the door.
I stood up from the bed to observe the small, folded piece of paper. Bending down, I grasped the paper gently before unfolding it. The words on the paper made me freeze and my blood go cold.
I know what you did.
