"I have a funny story...my dad died and when my mom got married again she didn't invite me to her wedding." (orchestra 2) (NOTE: i never had this teacher, i joined orchestra the year after she retired)

"do you know how hard it is to make frosty the snowman sound like frosty the snowman instead of frosty the big wet sad puddle?" (orchestra 1)

"We will accept bribery" (chorus)

"guys, will you PLEASE stop hitting kittens" (orchestra 1)

*at a baritone who has his arm resting on the back [name]s chair* "[name2], i dont think [name] wants to go on a date with you" random kid: "yeah, [name2] is like 'hey, wanna go to the movies and put our hands in the popcorn bucket at the same time'"

SO. thats what i have so far. this is FAR from a complete list. the band 2 is for an extra band where the teacher isnt the same one or one of the ones for band, and orchestra 1 and orchestra 2 are completely different and numbered based on when i joined. 1 is after school and not really a school orchestra, and 2 is a school orchestra.

things are continuing to escalate in gaza. please help my friend ahmed, @ahmadfamily verified here (152). he has hepatitis and his elderly mother needs medical treatment as well. he doesn’t have consistent access to internet and it’s always scary when i don’t hear for him from days. his messages have been brief but i know he’s suffering. please help him this Ramadan if you have the means, and share if you can’t. donations are dwindling and Palestinians still need our support.

my english teacher is actually so cool for saying "when people are telling you to not think, thats a red flag" about AI. She doesnt want us to use AI in our essays because writing them ourselves is how you learn. Her friend told her about an AI essay grader she could use and she said she wouldn't and then told us that she wouldnt because it would be hypocritical and she also uses these essays to learn about her students and their experiences(we're writing personal narratives). She's called people saying "just push a button, you dont have to think" dystopian several times.

She's also the best teacher I've ever had in general. Explains things well, is strict about not letting harassment or bullying about anything at all occur in her classroom, and is honestly so supportive of every single student she teaches. Shes a wonderful woman in general

sae likes it when you come home home after a long day and you're all worked up and maybe even a little snappy with him,, he bites down a ghost of a smile as he listens to you stomp around the apartment while ranting about your day, telling him all about the million things that managed to piss you off.

you bark out all of your answers as if he's a part of the problem but he doesn't take it into heart; he's amused if anything because he knows you'll melt into him the moment you plop down onto his lap. he knows the snarl will turn into a pretty little pout instead and he knows your tone will shift into something whinier – he knows you want him to make it better, that you want him to take care of you.

I love the headcanon of the DCA having access to the internet and also being able to connect to your phone like a Bluetooth device. Imagine being in your shift and getting a notification on your phone saying " 'v2DCA_FAZCo2023' would like to share a file," you open it and it's just some shit like this

It happens daily and they stare at you to see your reaction to the funny thing they sent.
