I mentioned earlier to our roommate about how one of our abusers has breached his restraining order in the past and how he basically tried to fuck us over to try and force us into a homeless shelter and she was like shaking her head and went "nope. not on my fucking watch he's not. I'm keeping you two. and your cats" and I just thought that was really nice

My mom was telling her cousin her cat's litter box has to be cleaned frequently, to which she replied "she's an animal, she doesn't need it" 🙃

#she also doest brush her cat (despite it being a hairy persian) nor trims her nails #she complains about the cat scratching the furniture but doesnt provide her a scratcher #doest play with her nor give her toys #told me I needed a baby because I talked with her cat with a cute voice #oh and they had six whole dogs before the cat #no not at the same time #they would buy a dog #decide it was not for them #give the dog to somebody else #and buy a dog from a different breed #six fucking times #before they decided to get a cat #and they dont take care of her #it should be illegal for them to have pets

Another day to focus on my needs, at least the needs I can accomplish right now, I haven’t had enough energy to set up my art supplies so that will have to wait but is definitely a self care activity.

Today I slept a lot, most of the day actually, and ya know what?? I am not feeling guilty at all and have zero regrets over that choice, I need rest so badly, my brain and body is starving for rest and so today I said here you go, you deserve this.

I made sure to care for my pets and I also ate apple and peanut butter and tidied up just enough to feel good. These also all felt like good choices, on top of that I said no to alcohol and had some iced tea mixed with lemonade. I am proud of myself! This is a very good thing.

I also accomplished another hour of yoga

Hips and core yoga. Worked up a good sweat and thankful for my effort.

I showed up for myself today.
