Oh yeah so I had this idea earlier when I was thinking about Beast Wars, only reason I didn’t post it earlier was because I got dragged out to dinner

Anyways, so basically I had this thought of a Transformers series where basically the Autobots and Decepticons crash land on Earth, and due to them having no clue where they are and no current way of getting back home, they decide to work together, at least for the time being

So like, the main group of protagonists would consist of both Autobots and Decepticons

But also it wouldn’t be the entirety of both groups working together, as members on both sides refuse to work with the other for one reason or another and instead decide to do their own thing, being their own separate parties that probably cause trouble from time to time. But every member here has their own reasons why they are or aren’t fine with teaming up, and why they’re on one side or the other

I kind of don’t want Optimus and Megatron there, probably because I was thinking of Beast Wars which doesn’t have them, and also because I want to see this alliance come from characters other than them. But at the same time I feel like they kind of have to be there. My current solution is that the two were on a different part of the ship that came off during the crash landing, and in current day (assuming they all were unconscious for a bit like g1 or Animated) the two are missing, which might be a reason for the two groups to team up. Their goals are to: find fuel, find everyone that might have gone missing, find a way to contact/get back to Cybertron, and find their leaders

I’m not entirely sure what’s going on with Optimus and Megatron here yet, just that they’d probably be absent until like, maybe the end of the season or something

But one concept that did come to mind is that whoever found them basically decided to stitch the two of them together using each’s body parts into one powerful robot (probably not knowing what they really are), and so the two are pretty much fused together into one, with them having to deal with this, assuming they still have a mind anymore. And also with this concept, this Frankenstein of them is specifically not one or the other with the other’s body parts, it’s both of them in there, through whatever magic means. Or neither if we just want the body horror and the new team having to put them down. Or I suppose you could have instead their minds/sparks being fused into an entirely new being. Didn’t really think about that concept until right now. But yeah, might not be the concept I stick with, but it is the one in my head right now

Edit: all I know is that I don’t think I want it to just be “they decide to work together”, because while I’m down for a solo Optimus and Megatron team-up side plot, the rest of the group is already doing the team-up, so it’d be treading the same ground. I want to do something different with them, and fusing them together into one being certainly is that. Throws a wrench into the whole war thing too

And yeah, I just wanted to share this concept because I thought it was neat. I would try to develop it more, but I have literally no clue who would be on either side, because the only characters I think about are Optimus and Megatron, and I also don’t really want Starscream and probably Bumblebee here either

Can we all please come together to mourn the brief time when we had a sanely-sized soulsword. Krakoa and a good look for Illyana, two things that were taken away from us equally unfairly and will be equally missed.

(This reaction might also be fed by the fact that... look, Stegman is a popular artist, definitely among Marvel's current A-list, so one can't cast aspersions on Marvel for putting him on an X-book, but... his style is just not for me, and then I see Illyana-less books having art by the likes of Marquez and Carnero, and... excitement for this cruel, post-Krakoa world is hard to find.)

The Legendary Rod of Casting. Wielded once by the great wizard known only as the Hermit Sage, it is said that this rod has the ability to cast any spell. It has been sought after for centuries. And you have found it. Within the chest before you lies the very rod that countless have died for. You open the chest and behold… it’s a fishing rod. Turns out, the Hermit Sage had a fishing hobby and the “casting” part is just an enchantment to have a perfect fishing cast every time. The only other magical ability is that it drops a 30 pound fish on whoever is the target when used as a casting rod. The fish deals 4d6 bludgeoning damage.

Eclipse AU(Tldr at bottom of post_

So I made a modern-sort of percy jackson inspired AU for Linked Universe, I think it's fun to write! I hope other people enjoy it. Here's my weird rough summary. Willing to answer any and all questions!

The Chain are lost in time, trapped in an unending cycle of life and death. A familiar tale to the hero's spirit. In their last confrontation with the incarnations of demise, and the demons he commanded--the whole of reality went asunder, and the power of the gods shattered entirely.

After that confrontation--the nine embodiments of the hero’s spirit suffered the same fate as their homeland--their souls washed away in caskets of golden tears and failed promises.

Hyrule was wiped away, wiped from the face of history and beyond. The goddesses had to begin their creation anew, without the baggage of those that caused it’s destruction in the first place.

Earth, modern earth, was created in it’s place--with a few key changes.

For all their efforts--the remains of their first creation leaked through, infecting the history of our earth like vile rot. The monsters were the first to make the breach, their combined hatred and inhuman will to survive holding their corrupted essences together through the transition.

There are stories of these creatures, often disregarded as exaggerated hyperbole by historians, or metaphors for natural disasters. 

They were not.

The Queen Gohma haunts the jungles of South America, legends of her urchin-like young making victims of unfortunate wanderers; sustaining her immortal lifespan in the depths of her hollowed tree.

Argorok terrorized the skies of medieval Europe, casting plumes of fire on the feudal armies that tried opposing it’s oppressive reign; her accompanying packs of gleeoks hunting ancient sailors in the atlantic.

And there were many, so many more monsters that endured the chaotic folding of time and space, the near-annihilation of any sense of self--as the mind and soul were put to battle against the last, drawn out gasps of their dying universe. The destruction was biblical, the return of gods seen only in legend--it’s a wonder that anything survived that cataclysm.

The chain suffered a similar fate--at first--their existence and histories torn apart atom by atom, their souls stretched paperthin as thought and reality blended together during the collapse of stars.

But they endured.

They tumbled through the new cosmos, the echoes of their shared spirit melding into the foundation of the universe--as immovable as gravity. When humanity came to prominence; the chain were there to follow. They were reborn, stripped of their memories, into a thousand different societies, and countless eras.

At times of crises and devastation; their nine courageous souls were reborn across the earth, their courage burning brighter than it had been before. They were prepared for the changing world, their skills old and new continuing with each reset.

There are some echoes of continuity, however, rules that their spirit must follow.

Twilight is related to time in some way, and they’re the two who meet again the most. 

Wind is always born in sea-faring communities, whether that be in the literal age of pirates, or as an early tribesmen at the dawn of civilization--rediscovering his aptitude for sailing.

And as the chain have been reborn, so too have many of Hyrule’s legends, their essences bleeding forth onto our realm. The memory of that primeval history scars our world, and fragments of every era hides under the bustling, nation-states of our modern age.

Some more aware than others.

Those with the blood of Hylia returned, bringing the memory of their goddess with them--thought to be eradicated. They possess no royal heritage, living as normal citizens, the zeldas being born nearby their links.

The sheikah bounced back quickly, as Impa(SS) managed to come out of the transition with her memories intact--assembling her fractured tribe during the stone ages. 

TLDR: Modern AU that’s sort of percy jackson in how Hyrule seeps over. Ancient things hidden in modern times, with the chain reborn worldwide.

ROLE SPOTLIGHT! Rites of Descendancy Casting Call

We have some mentions of roles that haven’t been getting attention for our newest casting call for Rites of Descendancy, our upcoming fantasy filled audio drama! The casting call is linked below, so check out this post for roles that need a little more love!

First up, we have Priyala, a 19 year old who suffers from eldest child syndrome. We’re looking for an actor of South Asian/Southeast Asian descent! The characters pronouns are she/her, but the actor’s pronouns can be anything, as long as you’re comfortable with the role!

Next up, we have Saagnika, who can definitely be described as the ‘mom friend’. We’re looking for an actor of South Asian/Southeast Asian descent for this role, and again, she uses she/her pronouns, but the actor’s pronouns can be anything!

Then, we have Maon, a straight faced character who prefers bluntness over dilly-dallying. We’re looking for someone with an Irish/Celtic accent, but we’d also accept Scottish or generic fantasy! This character uses they/them pronouns.

Next is Ezra, a spicy rebellious young adult with a pension for trouble. We’re looking for a nonbinary, POC/BIPOC actor for this role, and the character uses he/they pronouns themself!

Last but not least is Luka, the younger brother of Leonardo, an 18 year old with high aspirations and a thirst for knowledge. We’re looking for a transmale actor for Luka, and the character uses he/him pronouns.
