a/n: I'm taking requests, so feel free to send me some :) summary: Y/N is a new attending at Grey Sloan Memorial. Carina has her eyes on Y/N since the moment she met her. pairing: Carina DeLuca x female reader warnings: none word count: 1.4K
masterlist

Elevator Effect - Carina DeLuca
Y/N adjusted her jacket as the elevator doors slid open, revealing a nearly empty car save for one person leaning casually against the railing. The woman was stunning. Her dark hair cascaded over her shoulders, her almond-shaped eyes sparkling with curiosity as they landed on Y/N. She looked up from her phone and smiled, an expression that seemed almost too charming for its own good.
Y/N stepped into the elevator, pressing the button for her floor. Her first day at Grey Sloan Memorial had officially begun, and she decided to ease into it in her usual style: arriving in regular clothes before changing into her scrubs. She figured it would give her a chance to observe the environment without immediately standing out.
The silence in the elevator was brief.
"Buongiorno," the woman greeted, her voice as smooth as silk, laced with an Italian accent that could make anyone weak in the knees.
Y/N turned to her, quirking an eyebrow. "Good morning."
The woman tilted her head, her smile widening. "Not a doctor, I take it?" she asked, her gaze sweeping over Y/N’s outfit, a casual shirt, jeans, and sneakers. "Or are we experimenting with a new dress code?"
Y/N fought the urge to smirk. "Not a doctor," she said, technically not lying. Not yet, anyway.
The woman leaned in slightly, her curiosity evidently piqued. "Well, let me guess. A visitor? No, no, you seem too comfortable for that. Here for a meeting with the Chief?"
Y/N shrugged, letting her enjoy the guessing game. "Something like that."
Her companion chuckled, a sound that was somehow both mischievous and endearing. "I’m Carina, by the way. Carina DeLuca. And you are?"
"Y/N," she replied simply, keeping her tone neutral.
"Y/N…" Carina repeated, savoring the name. She studied Y/N with a smoldering gaze that could rival a summer heatwave. "Let me give you a warning, Y/N. If you wander into Grey Sloan looking like that, some people might forget how to do their jobs."
Y/N raised her eyebrows, a hint of amusement dancing in her eyes. "Oh, really?"
"Oh, sì," Carina said, taking a step closer. Her voice dropped lower, more intimate. "You’re… bellissima. Stunning. I’m already distracted, and I’ve only known you for two minutes."
Y/N’s lips twitched. "Is this how you greet everyone in the elevator?"
"Only the ones who make me want to press the emergency stop button," Carina teased, her eyes sparkling.
Y/N decided to play along. "That bold, huh?"
Carina smiled, her voice dripping with charm. "Life is too short for hesitation. Don’t you agree?"
The elevator dinged, signaling their arrival at the appropriate floor. Carina looked as though she had more to say, but Y/N stepped out first, giving her a knowing glance over her shoulder. "See you around, Carina."
Later that morning, Y/N stood beside Dr. Bailey in the conference room as a group of doctors filtered in. She had already changed into her scrubs, the name embroidered on her coat marking her position as the new attending in OB/GYN.
Carina walked in last, her gaze scanning the room before landing on Y/N. For a moment, her expression faltered, a flash of recognition lighting her face. Y/N offered her a subtle, knowing smile.
"Everyone, this is Dr. Y/N Y/L/N," Bailey announced. "She’s our new OB/GYN attending, joining us from Chicago. I expect you all to make her feel welcome."
Carina’s jaw dropped slightly, and her cheeks flushed. "You're… a doctor?" she asked Y/N after her short introduction was over, disbelief clear in her voice.
Y/N turned to her, feigning innocence. "Oh, I did forget to mention that earlier."
Carina blinked, clearly scrambling to recover. "You are very sneaky, Dr. Y/L/N."
Y/N leaned in just slightly, her voice quiet enough that only Carina could hear. "Life is too short for hesitation, right?"
Carina exhaled a laugh, shaking her head in disbelief. "Touché."
Throughout the rest of the meeting, Carina found herself stealing glances at Y/N, clearly intrigued. Afterward, she caught up to her in the hallway.
"Non posso credere che non me l'hai detto."
Y/N tilted her head, pretending to be clueless. "I don’t speak Italian."
Carina smirked, leaning closer. "Then I guess I’ll have to teach you. Maybe over dinner?"
Y/N smirked. "I will think about your offer."
And with that, she left the Italian alone in her own disbelief.
The day was only halfway through, and Carina was already proving to be delightfully persistent. After their hallway banter, Y/N had managed to slip away to her office, but it wasn’t long before she encountered Carina again during a consult.
The patient had been referred to Y/N for a prenatal concern, and Carina, as the head of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine department, had been called in as well. Y/N was standing at the patient’s bedside when Carina walked in, clipboard in hand and a sly smile already forming on her lips.
“Dr. Y/L/N,” Carina greeted, her tone professional but her eyes sparkling with mischief. “How lovely to see you again. Twice in one day. I must be lucky.”
Y/N didn’t miss a beat. “You could say the same about me. I get to work with Seattle’s finest.”
Carina tilted her head, a mock expression of thoughtfulness crossing her face. “Seattle’s finest? Are you referring to me, or have you been meeting other doctors behind my back already?”
Y/N smirked, not giving Carina the satisfaction of an answer. She turned her attention to the patient instead, maintaining her composure while Carina lingered just a little closer than necessary.
Later, during lunch in the hospital cafeteria, Y/N found herself seated alone, flipping through a stack of files. She was mid-bite when Carina appeared out of nowhere, sliding into the seat across from her with a tray of her own.
“Working through lunch?” Carina asked, her voice warm as she unwrapped a sandwich. “I hope that doesn’t mean you’re too busy for me.”
Y/N set her file down, arching an eyebrow. “Depends. What’s the occasion?”
Carina grinned, leaning forward. “I figured I’d take the opportunity to learn more about the mysterious new attending. It’s only fair, considering how much you’ve kept me in the dark today.”
“Oh?” Y/N replied, feigning nonchalance. “What do you want to know?”
“Everything,” Carina said, her voice dropping into a flirtatious purr. “What brought you to Grey Sloan? How do you like your coffee? What’s your favorite color? And most importantly, how do you feel about Italian food?”
Y/N couldn’t help but laugh. “That’s quite the list.”
“Start with the last one,” Carina said, her eyes narrowing playfully. “Because if you don’t like Italian food, I may have to rethink my strategy.”
“Your strategy?” Y/N echoed, clearly amused.
Carina gestured between them. “This. Us. Getting to know each other. Winning you over.”
Y/N leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms as she studied Carina. “You’re pretty confident, aren’t you?”
“Sì,” Carina admitted shamelessly. “But only because I know when something is worth the effort.”
Y/N’s cheeks warmed slightly at the intensity of Carina’s gaze. “For the record, I love Italian food,” she said. “But if you want to win me over, you’ll have to try harder than a lunch table interrogation and mentioning pasta and pizza.”
Carina rolled her eyes but she was most definitely up for the challenge. “Oh, don’t worry, cara mia. I plan to.”
By mid-afternoon, Carina was proving to be as good as her word. Y/N found herself in the supply closet, searching for a specific set of surgical tools, when Carina appeared in the doorway.
“Are you following me?” Y/N asked, glancing over her shoulder.
“Not intentionally,” Carina replied, stepping inside as though she owned the place. “But I’m starting to think fate might be pushing us together.”
Y/N shook her head, biting back a smile. “This is the supply closet, Carina. Hardly romantic.”
Carina stepped closer, her voice dropping to a low murmur. “You’d be surprised how creative I can be.”
Y/N turned to face her, holding a tray of instruments as a makeshift barrier. “Is this how you woo all the doctors?”
“Not doctors. Not plural. Only you. You wear scrubs better than I do, I have to try my luck.” Carina said, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
Y/N chuckled, brushing past her to exit the closet. As she walked away, she glanced back over her shoulder. “You’ll have to try harder than that, Dr. DeLuca.”
Carina called after her. “La prossima volta ti sorprenderò.”
Y/N didn’t understand the words, but she understood the promise in Carina’s tone and she couldn’t wait to see how far the Italian doctor would take this game.

I was so happy to see your most recent post Dangerous Addiction. It was such a good read. I wanted to ask if you could write a Maya x Carina x Reader story. Where station 19 responds to a pileup on the highway and Reader is in the middle of it. Maybe Maya has to call Carina at the scene to help refocus herself for the job she has to do. Carina meets them in the ER. I always love the way you write drama and angst. If you’re not feeling this, please ignore. Thank you!
Pileups
Maya x Carina x reader
TW: panic attacks, death (temporary), talking of death, injuries.
The day had started well, indeed. You had snuggled into Carina's arms while you were still in bed and then the Italian had given you one of the best morning orgasms of your life before the alarm clock rang for the second and third time, the moment when you had decided to get out of bed with the unspoken promise to continue what you had started that evening.
Maya was on duty, until nine o'clock if all went smoothly, so you had limited yourself to a simple good morning message and then, after greeting Carina with a kiss, you had taken the car keys and started driving to the Police station. Then, you had glanced briefly in the rearview mirror, checking whether or not you had taken your Detective badge.
You hadn't noticed right away...your foot had taken a few seconds too long to slam on the brakes, and in an instant, you'd been crushed between two cars; you'd heard a roar, a sharp pain, airbags deploying, and then...just darkness.
__________________________________
Maya Bishop had almost finished her shift; it was 8:55 a.m. and she couldn't wait to get home and hole up in the blankets. And then, the alarm at Station 19 had started sounding and her dream of getting home on time had vanished into thin air.
"We have a pileup on the highway, at least six injured. A truck cut off six cars and there was a pileup and chain reaction."
Vic reports to the blonde and The lieutenant nods, quickly slipping into her coveralls, as she had been taught in training, and entering the fire truck.
Maya bites her lower lip, feeling that something is wrong and not understanding what it is. Her stomach tightens as the truck approaches the crash site. The police have already diverted traffic elsewhere when the blond lieutenant sets foot on Highway 71.
Her gaze lingers on the road and the sign pointing to the police station a few miles away, and that clench in her stomach intensifies. Anxiously, her gaze darts over the cars, searching and praying at the same time that your first black car of 2018 is not among them but his prayers are useless.
"Andy...Andy that's y/n's car, that's y/n's car!"
Maya begins to run, ignoring the screams of her captain and best friend as her feet dart across the asphalt.
"Maya, Maya wait! Lieutenant Bishop!"
Maya's breath is labored as she finally gets to the passenger door, leans out, prays not to see your body but once again, her prayers are not heard.
"Y/N! Love, love open your eyes, love open your eyes!"
Her breathing quickens, her chest rises and falls rapidly; she is on the verge of a panic attack but cannot afford it now.
She opens the door, her fingers frantically searching for your pulse, pushing on your carotid artery as her eyes scan your body for any injuries.
"Maya, leave it to us. Leave it to us, call Carina, take care of the other wounded. We'll take care of her."
Andy touches her back and caresses her, tries to pull her away but can't.
"Maya--" "No! No, she--she has to wake up, I have to be with her, she--love, wake up. Come on..."
The steady nerves that characterized the lieutenant seem to disappear, Maya cannot concentrate, her gaze is fixed on you and all she can do is think about the fact that you are not waking up, that your pulse is irregular, that the cut on your forehead is bleeding profusely, and -- "Maya! Maya, we need to take her to the hospital and you need to call Carina. Maya, can you hear me?"
Andy shakes her by the shoulders. She hasn't even noticed that the others have dragged her out of the car and are tending to you and the other injured. She watches Vic extract you from the car and Travis lay you down on the stretcher before checking your parameters.
"Probable head injury, possible lung collapse, weak pulse and falling blood pressure. We need to get her to Grey's Sloan now."
"Bishop!" Andy shakes the blonde hard, so hard that she finally manages to shake her out of her shock.
"Go with her to the hospital, we'll take it from here. Maya, call Carina. Now."
Andy pushes the phone to her chest and has her sit inside the ambulance with Vic taking care of you.
With one hand he squeezes yours while with the other, he shakily dials his wife's number.
"Bella, did you get home? I left your breakfast on the kitchen counter, there's the pistachio croissant you love so much. I heard there was a pileup on the highway involving multiple cars, they're bringing the injured here now, so far there are no casualties from what I've been told. You-"
"Car...Carina" Maya interrupts her, her voice trembling as she tells one of the loves of her life what she never wanted to say, "it's highway 71, I've just been to the accident scene. Y/n was driving one of the six cars that were involved. W-we're in the ambulance right now, she hasn't regained consciousness yet, she-" the firefighter's voice cracks, tears line her cheeks as she watches your parameters on the monitor. Vic moves frantically around your body lying on the stretcher, talking but Maya can't really take in what her colleague is saying.
"May...Maya, are you okay?"
"Head trauma, possible puncture of a lung due to crushing. Her blood pressure is dropping and-" the blonde's breath is little more than a gasp and is so worrisome that Vic turns to look at her.
"Amore, love you need to breathe okay? She needs you right now, soon you will get here and I will come to you but until then you have to breathe May. Do you understand, love?"
Carina is terrified, you can hear it in her tone of voice but Maya is too distracted by her ongoing panic attack to realize it.
"Y-yes, I-it's d-difficult Car, she's so-"
A sob shakes her chest. Her hand grips yours too tightly. Carina says something but the words are muffled, distant.
The ambulance speeds across the tarmac but not fast enough. Your heart slows again. A moment later, the monitor beeps continuously.
Flatline.
__________________________________
"Maya,...Bella."
Carina runs to you as you are dragged inside the emergency room, lying on the gurney. Teddy Altman and Amelia Shepard are at her side as they check your vitals and have Vic and Travis explain what happened.
"Her heart stopped Car, she has a collapsed lung and-and-and-" "May...Maya's breathing. It's okay. It's okay, she'll be okay love. I promise you, she'll be fine."
The blonde grits her teeth, nods, but tears continue to roll down her cheeks.
Carina holds her wife in her arms and hopes, prays that she can keep that promise. The Italian looks at the neurosurgeon, hoping to catch a glimpse of some trace of hope in Amelia, but what she sees sinks her heart further.
"Maya, Carina, we're taking her to the operating room. I will send Schmitt to alert you on how the surgery is going."
"Amelia, I want to watch, I-" "Carina, you know it's against protocol and I don't think it's a good idea." Teddy speaks firmly, letting the stethoscope slide back to his neck.
Carina is about to retort but Maya gasps in her arms and the Italian pulls her close. The fireman is shaking and Carina cannot even imagine what is going through the blonde's head; her heart had stopped when she had received Maya's call and imagining you in that car had been enough to send her into a panic attack that she had had to suppress just to help Maya cope and get you to Grey's Sloan.
__________________________________
The steady beeping of the heart rate monitor brings you back to reality. Your head throbs and you groan softly.
Without meaning to, you wake both your wives. Carina has her head resting on your lap, her back curved in a position that must be anything but pleasant as Maya squeezes your hand tightly, watching you and unwilling to take her eyes off you for fear of seeing yours closed again.
Your head throbbing painfully, you raise your hand to graze the bandage around your head but thin, cold fingers won't let you.
"Bella, don't touch it, you have a pretty bad cut on your forehead and you had to have five stitches."
"It won't leave a scar, will it?"
Carina smiles, shaking her head, "no Bella, nothing will be left."
In the corner of your eyes you notice Maya avoiding your gaze and her white knuckles, given the strength with which she is clutching the fall barrier of your hospital bed.
"Maya-" "I was scared, y/n. I've never been so scared in all my life, I-damn it, I thought you were dead, in fact, you died, you died for forty interminable seconds and had a collapsed a lung and-"
Maya suddenly breaks off, her voice breaking in her throat as a choked sob shakes her shoulders. Carina holds out a hand to her, but the blonde does not move. She just stands there, motionless, her glossy eyes scrutinizing you as if she is afraid you might disappear at any moment.
"Maya, love, I'm fine, I'm fine, look at me...I'm here."
You ignore the pain and the protesting cry of your Italian wife and reach out toward the blonde. Your foreheads touch and you bring your hand to her cheek, stroking her cheekbones with your thumb. At your gesture, the breath she was holding promptly turns into a sob and another as her arms wrap around you tightly, trying, however, not to cause you pain.
Her breath is uneven against your neck, warm and trembling, as her fingers tighten in the fabric of your hospital gown. She holds you close as if her life depended on it.
Carina joins the embrace; her face hides in your hair for a few moments, the fear of not smelling you again still grips her stomach but the physical contact helps her to calm down a little and release the tension she has built up so far.
"It's okay Car, you did good, you were strong for all of us. I'm proud of you, honey."
You kiss her temple and squeeze both of them a little tighter, ignoring the dull ache in your chest as you settle more comfortably on the crib - not that you can be comfortable, three of you, on one of those infernal beds.
Carina exhales noisily, breaking away from your neck to look briefly into your eyes.
"You gave us quite a scare Bella"
"I don't think I'm going to let you drive a car for quite a while"
"I don't know if I want to drive it, May, take it easy and I'm sorry but it wasn't my intention to end up in the middle of a pileup."
You notice their looks and regret your choice of words a little.
"Too soon?"
"Definitely yes, idiot."
You laugh softly, barely wincing as one feels a twinge in her head.
"You need to rest y/n, doctor's orders."
Carina leans toward you again, leaving a kiss on your lips before getting out of bed.
"I'm going to call Amelia and tell her you're awake, do you want some coffee or go to the bathroom maybe? We've been here for a few hours and-"
You are well aware that that tempting request is not addressed to you but you know, hope springs eternal.
"Yes my love, thank you."
Carina gives you a dirty look and then, looks at your wife waiting for an answer. Maya, however, seems to be unwilling to leave you alone, not even for a moment. You know your wife well enough to say that she is thinking about everything that could go wrong if she walked out that door, even if only for five very brief minutes.
"Maya, go with Car. I'm fine love, I swear. If I start feeling tired, I promise to hit the red button…you know I love doing that."
You smile, and your smile, along with your humor, melts the blonde. The firefighter gets up, gives you a quick kiss, and walks toward the door, hand in hand with Carina.
"Take care..."
"Yes yes, I will be good. Scout's honor!"
And with a roll of her eyes, they both walk out the door of the room with smiles on their faces.
You watch them leave, exchanging jokes under their breath, and let go a little sigh. They drive you crazy sometimes but, after all, you give them a good dose of scares too.
Thank you for reading! Does it suck? Yes. Did I publish it anyway? Yes. Do I have other finished fanfiction that I don't know when I will publish? Yes. Anyway, this is my kofi link and if you have requests, send them in folks! Comment and and reblog, have a great day!

accident
The morning sun cast a soft glow over the streets of Seattle as Y/N drove to her training session for USWNT. The familiar scent of coffee filled the air, but her mind was focused on the upcoming game and the challenges that lay ahead. As she approached an intersection, the traffic light turned red, forcing her to come to a stop.
Just as the light turned green, Y/N accelerated, her mind still occupied with thoughts of tactics and strategy for the game. The intersection was busy, cars moving in various directions. However, in the blink of an eye, a distracted driver ran a red light, colliding with Y/N's car from the side.
The impact sent Y/N's car spinning, metal crunching against metal. The sudden jolt left her disoriented, the world spinning around her. As the chaos unfolded, she heard the distant wail of sirens, and through the haze, she saw the familiar faces of Maya hopping out of the fire truck and the Station 19 team rushing to the scene before her eyes started to close shut.
Maya takes in the scene, her eyes fall on the license plate number she has seen dozens of times. Her mind jumps to y/n, who she knows is in Seattle for the game coming up later in the week. The y/n who she and Carina took under their wing after she showed up several times to clinic days. They opened their home for her until she was steady enough to be on her own and when she isn’t with USWNT she is home in the UK playing for Arsenal.
Panic and concern etched across her face, as she sprinted towards Y/N's car. Reaching the damaged vehicle, she instantly saw y/n out cold. Reaching for the door handle, it wouldn’t budge. “Fuck! Guys it’s y/n. We need the jaws of life to remove the door and maybe even windshield for more access.” Travis went to grab it as Warren and Andy came with the med bag as they were on Aid car 19. “Y/n, I’m not sure if you can hear me but I need you to try to open your eyes. It’s Maya. You are going to be okay.”
Maya makes the decision to break the backseat window and enter through there before crawling front to the passenger seat. Andy did the same but remained behind y/n as she helped stabilize her neck with a c-collar after Maya checked for a pulse.
With all the hands touching her, y/n started to stir awake, moaning in pain. “Shhh. Y/n, it’s going to be okay, just try to remain still for us.”
Hearing the familiar voice, y/n turned her head as much as possible with the collar on to the source. “Cap…” She whispered.
“Hey there, kiddo. You took quite a big hit. Andy and I are in the car with you. Can you tell me if you are in pain and where?” Maya scans over y/n as y/n thinks the question through.
“Um. My head is pounding and the light makes it worse. Chest might be bruised… Maya…” y/n’s facial expression changes into a panicked one.
“Y/n, what’s wrong?... Y/n talk to me…”
“...legs… I- I can’t feel my legs. Maya- no no…” Y/n begins to spiral as realization hits her.
“Y/n, I need you to listen to me and breathe. We will figure it out but don’t focus on that right now. I need you to get your breathing under control.”
Warren assisted Travis in preparing the jaws of life while Maya focused on Y/N's immediate needs. Andy opened the med bag, retrieving equipment to monitor vital signs.
"Y/N, I need you to stay with me. Andy's going to monitor your vital signs, and we'll make sure you're as comfortable as possible," Maya explained, her voice a steady presence in the chaos. “Nice deep breaths.”
Andy secured an IV line, administering fluids to address potential shock. Maya continued to assess Y/N's chest and abdomen, searching for any signs of internal injuries.
"Good job, Andy. Let's keep an eye on those vitals. Y/N, I need you to let me know if anything feels off or if the pain increases," Maya directed, her focus unwavering. “Y/n pay attention to me. Eyes on me. We will worry about your legs when we pull you out.”
“Cap, my legs are everything. You know that.”
“I know, Y/n, I promise I know.” Maya is reminded of how soccer saved Y/N life and helped lift her from her rough past.
As Maya reassured Y/N, the situation took a dire turn. A faint hissing sound emerged from beneath the wreckage, followed by the acrid smell of gas. Maya's heart sank as she realized the danger they were in.
"Warren, Travis, we've got a gas leak! We need to get Y/N out of here, now!" Maya's voice cut through the chaos, urgency evident in every word. With adrenaline coursing through their veins, the team intensified their efforts.
Travis and Warren redoubled their efforts with the jaws of life, while Andy swiftly prepared Y/N for extraction, mindful of the looming threat of fire. Maya coordinated the rescue operation with precision, her training kicking in as she assessed the risks and devised a plan.
Suddenly, a spark ignited the volatile atmosphere, and flames erupted, engulfing the front of the car. Time seemed to slow as panic surged through the team. Without hesitation, Maya made a split-second decision.
"Grab Y/N, we're getting her out, now!" Maya commanded, her voice unwavering despite the inferno raging around them. With synchronized movements, Andy and Maya carefully lifted Y/N, their actions swift yet deliberate.
“Stop it-it hurts! Maya, stop!” Y/n screamed and cried as her body was hastily carried out of the vehicle.
“I’m sorry, Y/n but we need to leave now!” Maya screamed over the chaos. As they lifted y/n out and placed her on the stretcher, they ran as Vic and Jack foamed over the gas leak.
“Leah… I was on a call with Leah before.” Y/n suddenly remembered having her girlfriend on the other end of the line before the crash.
“Don’t worry, I will call her, right now.” Maya climbed into the back of the ambulance, her eyes never leaving Y/N. "You're doing great, Y/N. We're right here with you," she said, her voice filled with reassurance.
Andy followed suit, bringing the medical bag and equipment into the confined space of the ambulance. Y/N's eyes darted between Maya and Andy, seeking comfort in their familiar faces amidst the uncertainty.
“Speaking of the devil, Leah is facetiming me.” Maya says unlocking her phone but as the ambulance doors closed, Y/N's panic resurfaces. The confined space and the realization of the severity of the situation weighed heavily on her. "Maya, I can't... I can't breathe. It's too much," Y/N gasped, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
Maya quickly grabbed an oxygen mask from the medical bag. "Y/N, slow your breathing. This will help," she said, placing the mask gently over Y/N's face. "Deep breaths. In and out."
“What’s happening? Maya what happened to Y/n?!” Leah yelled through the phone panicked by Y/n’s panic.
“Y/n look who I have on the phone, wanting to see you.” Maya tries to distract the woman in front of her. Y/n pauses for a second to see her blurred girlfriend on the screen.
“Baby, you’re going to be okay, Maya is with you and I am sure Carina will meet you in the hospital. I’ll be on the next plane over.” Leah reassured y/n.
“Leahhh,” Y/n cried. “I can’t - can’t feel my legs. I’m so scared.” Leah pauses and a panic look crosses over her eye but she tries to remain as calm as possible.
“Wait until the doctor’s check you out, it could just be from slight inflammation. Just focus on what Maya says. She is with you and looks like Andy is there too. You are gonna be fine, baby just remain calm.”
“Leah, we are pulling into the ambulance bay in a minute so I am going to hang up and get her sorted for the medical staff. I’ll call you back as soon as I can.” Maya tells Leah knowing how protective she is of her girlfriend. With that Leah gives another word of love to Y/n before canceling the call.
“I texted Carina as well, I am not sure if she’s in surgery or not but she’ll come to find us once she sees it.” Maya informs y/n knowing she is able to calm down more when Carina is around. “We are almost there, but it’s going to get chaotic. Just breathe, it’ll be alright.”
The ambulance pulls up and doors open to reveal Amelia, Bailey, Kepner, Teddy, and Carina.
“What do we have?” Bailey starts.
“23 year old female in a MVC, airbags deployed, head laceration, possible spinal injury, she says she can’t feel her legs. C-spine precaution taken. Y/n had two panic attacks already and is in pain but no pain meds given as unknown head trauma...” Andy trails off.
“Alright, trauma 2.”
Y/n is rolled in as everyone takes on a role and several hands are trying to assess her injuries to the full extent. Y/n takes her deep breaths as she reminds herself they are here to help her.
In the entrance of the room Maya whispers to Carina, “Carina, she said she can’t feel her legs. I tried to stay calm for her but it’s never good. She was freaking out…”
A loud groan of pain takes them out of their moment as they see they have turned y/n on her side to check her back before placing her back down. Amelia does a head work up and then moves down to y/n’s legs. Carina steps closer to y/n for support as Amelia asks her if she can feel her touching her feet.
“I can’t feel it.” Amelia moves up the leg and to the knee. “Nothing.” Amelia moves mid-thigh. “I barely feel that.”
“Okay, don’t worry, we will get a CT scan and check you out. Might just be inflammation on the spine that will go away.” Amelia reassured the girl Carina took under her wing.
“And what if it doesn’t,” Y/n asks the question she knows the answer to.
“Let’s see what the scans say and we will take it from there.” Amelia places her hand on Y/n’s hand but she pulls away.
“I’m going to be sick.” With that, y/n turns her body as much as possible and only dry heaves.
“Bambina, you are stressing yourself out. I know you are worried about playing soccer, hell even walking but one thing at a time. You can’t think of what ifs. I am here now. I will make sure things are in order. Maya and I will be there for you every step of the way. I am going to need you to practice the breathing exercises. I don’t want them to sedate you but if your panic gets in the way…”
“No, no I promise.” Y/n cuts her off and closes her eyes trying to regulate her breathing. The team talks to her about the next steps of imaging and makes her a priority case.

Under the Weight
Requested by anon: fanfic request please --You faint while on the job with Maya, worrying both Carina and Maya
Words: 1476
I have a hyperfixation on Carina at the moment lmao...I need her to **** my ****** and ***** me on a daily basis
The alarm blared through Station 19, jolting everyone into action. Maya Bishop moved like a lightning bolt, the epitome of efficiency as she called out assignments. “Jack, you’re with me! Sullivan, grab the hose team! Y/N, you’re on search and rescue with Gibson. Let’s move, people!”
You nodded sharply, adrenaline already coursing through your veins. As a firefighter-paramedic, this was what you lived for. The call was for a residential fire, a potential family of four trapped inside. The stakes were high—just the way Maya liked it.
As the team piled into the engine, Maya’s sharp voice cut through the tense atmosphere. “This is a full-team effort. No cutting corners. Lives depend on us.” Her words carried the usual authority, but you caught the faintest edge of worry as her gaze flicked to you. Maya’s protective nature had only intensified since your relationship began. While she trusted your abilities, she couldn’t turn off the part of her that cared deeply.
Carina, stationed in the aid car, gave you a reassuring look before you rolled out. Her presence was a balm in the chaos. You carried the warmth of her gaze with you as the engine sped toward the inferno.
The fire roared as you arrived on scene, thick black smoke billowing out of the two-story home. It was a chaotic symphony: screaming neighbors, hissing water, and the crackle of consuming flames. Maya wasted no time, barking orders with precision.
“Y/N, Gibson, second floor!” she shouted through her mask. “Find them and get them out!”
You didn’t hesitate, following Gibson into the blaze. The heat was oppressive, your gear feeling like a furnace, but you powered through. You trusted your training, your instincts, and your team. Room by room, you searched, the smoke stinging your eyes and stealing your breath despite the mask.
“Found one!” Gibson called out, hefting a child into his arms. “I’m taking them down!”
“Go!” you replied, your voice muffled but firm. Alone now, you pushed forward, searching for the remaining family members. You found a woman and her infant huddled in a corner, their faces streaked with soot.
“I’ve got you,” you said, your voice gentle despite the urgency. You carefully scooped up the infant, helping the mother to her feet. “Stay close to me. We’re getting out of here.”
The journey back was a gauntlet. The heat was unbearable, and your vision swam as you struggled to keep your breathing steady. You emerged into the cool night air just as Gibson returned for backup.
“Great work, Y/N,” he said, taking the infant from you to hand over to paramedics. You nodded, trying to catch your breath.
Maya was at your side instantly, her sharp eyes scanning you. “You okay?” she asked, her voice tinged with concern.
“Yeah, just… hot,” you replied, waving her off. But the world tilted dangerously, and you staggered. Maya’s hands shot out to steady you.
“Hey! Stay with me, Y/N,” she said, her voice rising in alarm.
The edges of your vision blurred, and the last thing you saw was Carina rushing toward you from the aid car.
When you came to, it was to the sound of Carina’s voice, calm yet laced with worry. “Y/N, can you hear me?”
You blinked, the sterile white of the Station’s aid room coming into focus. Carina’s dark eyes were inches from yours, her hand warm against your cheek. Maya stood behind her, arms crossed but her face betraying her anxiety.
“What happened?” you croaked.
“You fainted,” Carina said, her tone leaving no room for argument. “Heat exhaustion, likely compounded by dehydration. When was the last time you ate? Or drank water?”
You tried to think but came up blank. Maya groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Damn it, Y/N. How many times have we told you to take care of yourself?”
“I’m fine,” you said, attempting to sit up. But Carina gently pushed you back down.
“You are not fine,” she countered as she forced her voice down despite her frustration. “You’re staying here until I’m sure you’re stable.”
“We’re not losing you to a preventable mistake,” Maya added, her voice softer now but no less firm. “You scared the hell out of us.”
The sincerity in her tone made your chest tighten. You knew Maya cared deeply, but this felt more personal. Her eyes bore into yours, a mixture of anger and fear swirling in their depths. Carina’s hand never left yours, her thumb brushing soothing circles over your skin.
Carina’s voice broke the moment. “You need rest and fluids. No arguments.”
You nodded reluctantly, the fight draining out of you. As Carina set up an IV, Maya pulled up a chair beside the cot. “You’re benched for the rest of the shift,” she said. “And maybe longer, depending on what Carina says.”
“Maya—”
“Don’t,” she interrupted. “You’re not invincible, Y/N. None of us are.”
Her words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken meaning. You met her gaze, seeing the vulnerability she rarely let show. It wasn’t just about the job. It was about you.
Carina squeezed your hand gently, drawing your attention back to her. “Promise us you’ll take better care of yourself.”
You swallowed hard, the weight of their concern settling over you. “I promise.”
The rest of the night was uneventful, but the memory of their worry lingered. Maya’s protective streak and Carina’s nurturing care were constants in your life, but seeing them so deeply affected by your lapse hit you hard. They loved you, and you loved them—a bond that went beyond words.
Over the next few days, their concern manifested in different ways. Maya’s sharp reminders to drink water and take breaks became routine, while Carina packed you meals with little notes tucked inside: “Stay strong.”
At first, it was overwhelming. You weren’t used to being the center of such focused care. But gradually, you came to see it for what it was: they loved you.
One evening, as you sat between them on the couch at home, Carina’s head resting on your shoulder and Maya’s hand entwined with yours, you reflected on how far you’d come together. Maya’s sharp edges had softened with you and Carina, and Carina’s nurturing spirit provided the glue that held the three of you together. You were a team in every sense, each of you bringing something vital to the relationship.
“I’ve been thinking,” Maya said, breaking the comfortable silence. “Maybe we should all take a few days off. Go somewhere. Just us.”
Carina perked up, her dark eyes lighting with excitement. “I like this idea. A vacation would be good for all of us.”
You smiled at the thought. “Where would we even go?”
“Anywhere with no fires, no emergencies, and no stress,” Maya said. Her gaze softened as she looked at you. “We’ve been through a lot. I think we deserve a break.”
Carina nodded, squeezing your hand. “We do. And you, my love, need to learn how to relax.”
You chuckled, the warmth of their love washing over you. “Alright, let’s do it. A getaway sounds perfect.”
The trip turned out to be exactly what you all needed. A small cabin by a serene lake provided the perfect escape. Maya’s competitive streak came out during kayaking races, while Carina reveled in teaching you both how to make authentic Italian meals in the cabin’s rustic kitchen.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, the three of you sat on the porch wrapped in blankets. The world felt still, the only sounds the gentle lapping of water and the occasional chirp of crickets.
Maya broke the silence, her voice soft. “I don’t say it enough, but I’m so grateful for both of you. You’ve changed my life in ways I never expected.”
Carina reached for her hand, her other arm draped around your shoulders. “We’ve all changed each other. That’s what love does.”
You leaned into them, your heart full. “I’m the luckiest person alive to have you both. Thank you for… everything.”
Maya kissed your temple, her lips lingering. “We’re in this together, always.”
As the stars emerged one by one, you knew this was what mattered most: the love you shared, the family you’d built. No fire, no challenge, could ever burn brighter than this.
By the time your next shift rolled around, you were back to full strength. But the experience had left its mark. You made a conscious effort to hydrate, eat, and rest when needed—not just for yourself, but for the people who cared about you.
Maya and Carina were quick to notice. “Good to see you listening for once,” Maya teased, though her smile was warm.
Carina simply hugged you, her relief palpable. “I love you both,” you replied, pulling them close.

Femininity: Olivia struggles with feeling forced into the “masculine” role in her relationship with her ultra-feminine girlfriend, Y/N, who loves makeup, dresses, and all things girly. Olivia’s insecurities about not being “feminine enough” lead her to overcompensate by trying to conform to heteronormative expectations. Y/N notices this and reassures Olivia that being feminine isn’t about clothes or roles. Being a woman is enough. With Y/N’s encouragement, Olivia begins to embrace vulnerability and explore her own expression of femininity. ♡
Alex Cabot
Does Your Mother Know: Alex, a confident and composed professional finds herself unexpectedly intrigued when a younger, gorgeous woman boldly approaches her. Alex balances between maintaining her cool detachment and indulging her curiosity. ♡
Things We Don’t Say: As a new detective, Y/N never expected Alex Cabot to be the one who could disarm her with a glance. What started as stolen moments and quiet conversations after late nights on the job soon became something more, though neither of them dared to define it. But everything changes after one unexpected night when Y/N sees Alex with someone else. ♡

Hidden Ink: After Y/N gets a new tattoo she eagerly await her wife's, Alex’s return from a long day. Once at home, Y/N makes Alex find her well hidden ink. The little game turns into something much more intimate. ♡

As they continue to interact, Y/N unwavering kindness and genuine affection become a solace in Alex's chaotic world, challenging her to embrace vulnerability. Over time, Alex discovers the joy of letting someone in, finding in Y/N a partner who sees her strength and her softness. ♡
