Firstly I stumbled upon your blog and I love it so much. I just started getting into Genshin Impact so while I may no know all of the characters I find that the ones I do know your writing is so comforting.

Secondly I was wondering if I could request a mini fic with regressor Aether. Bit of an angst idea here, Aether overworking and over tired, regressing without realizing and it takes Venti telling him to stop and take a break and that he will look watch over him for Aether to realize just how much he needs one

First of all- it's been a while since my last minific, I know...I've just not been fully motivated to write in general because I'm generally busy with exams this month but thank for for your nice comments !!! waking up this morning to like, 20+ notifications of one person liking my blog is GENUINELY insane so thank you hehe <3

With the addition of the Serenitea Pot, Aether's life should've gotten way more easier.

With Paimon out at Wanmin Restaurant for the day, and his adventures on a halt to catch his breath after saving yet another nation, it's safe to say he had nothing to do. The first few hours of his day were dedicated to cleaning. He cooked for what little people rested at the teapot the previous night, the bookshelves were clean, and he was positive that any more attempts to clean and dust would make him go insane.

He could feel a tantrum bubbling in his core- a trait which only happened when he was regressed and angry about something big. But...he felt big now. He had to be big- and being regressed was stupid, anyways.

"Yahoo, Traveller!" a cheery voice called out. It was Venti. After a few seconds, he descended the stairway, and wrapped Aether in a hug. That hug did not help him remain big. Aether hugged the bard back, albeit a bit clumsily. "How are you today? Where is your little travelling companion?"

Aether huffed, but it really sounded more like a whine. It hadn't been good. "Paimon is at Wanmin, an' i got nothin' to do..."

Venti hummed in confusion. "That sounds like a bad thing."

"It is!" Aether whined. "I wan' do stuff, but m' tired..."

"Then you should nap, silly!" Venti said. "Or...is there something else going on?"

Aether stared at the floor as if it held the secrets to giving his sister back- that's all he wanted from this world- Lumine. Sure, he had a stuffed animal upstairs called Lumine, but he still wanted the real thing back. When she came back, he'd hug her tight, and never let her go, ever.

Well, that was an exaggerated statement- restricting his sister's freedom would never happen, but he was small, and everything felt floaty and too exaggerated for him to think right.

"Small." he mumbled, wrapping his arms around him. He didn't even know if Venti knew what regression was- and if he did, Aether expected to be yelled at, and-

"Oh, you're a kiddo right now?" he cooed. "Hello, sweet thing!"

Aether glanced at Venti, gasping- almost similiar to how a toddler would. Granted, he felt younger than that right now, but still. "You know...regression?"

Venti nodded, a soft smile on his lips. "Diluc helps me be small, butttttt it seems like you need some help relaxing, yes?"

"Mhm!" he nodded. "Been workin' super duper hard!" he giggled, trying his best to stifle a yawn. "Hard to do nothin'...feel bad."

"Well, let's talk about being overworked when you're much bigger, hm?"

Aether nodded, watching curiously as Venti bent down to Aether's level. "Now, do you want to snuggle up in your room and relax-" he held out his left hand. "Or do you want to have a picnic outside?" with that, he held out his right hand. "Your decision, kiddo. You can even nap if you want."

Aether dwelled on the question. He had...an option? And none of them had him doing overwhelming combat for horrible pay? Quietly, Aether held Venti's left hand, using his free hand to suck on his hand. With a giggle, Venti lifted Aether up, letting him rest on his hip.

"Well, let's go!" he smiled. "Maybe you can introduce me to your stuffies, hm?"

He is an affectionate drunk, the only difference between him and his sober self is that the rules don't stick as much

the sound of the front door opened followed by a bell that rung whenever someone came inside the small cabined house. Venti opened the door gently, making his presence known before he made it fully inside of the house. He closed the door gently behind him; automatically assuming that you were already asleep by now. He made his way through the house while the only noise was heard was his gentle foot creaks and the tv in the background. His hair was messy and he smelled like sweet honey and a splash of dust. "Daddy!" A small voice was heard from the room he just passed by. His eyes widened a bit before he turned to see his little one peeking from the doorway. You held your favorite blanket and stuffed animal tightly in your arms, looking up to see an unreadable expression from his face. His face softened immediately before crouching down to his knees, opening his arms up for his little. You caught the cue and ran with open arms to your caregiver. Wrapping your tiny arms around him, he did the same as he snaked his arms gently around your figure. A moment of silence passed between the two of you, before he pulled away a little to see your face. "Hey, firefly.. why are you up so late..?" He asked quietly. He looked up the clock from across the hallway. You looked up at him with some tears threatening to escape your tear ducts. "...I missed you.." you said simply, buring your face into his shoulder. Another few of seconds pass before venti let out a gentle sigh. Gently kissed the top of your head, rubbing your back in a sense of reassuring you. "..it's okay little one. Do you wanna sleep with daddy?" He asked, looking down at you. Once he saw the nod of confirmation, he picked you up slowly and letting you rest in his arms before he made his way into the bedroom.

He sat you down on the bed, making sure you're as comfortable as possible. After you get covered up, he slipped into the bed next to you, cuddling you to his chest. He rubbed the back of your head, resting his chin on your head. "..I love you papa.." you whispered, burying your head into his chest, hearing his slow.. gentle heartbeats.

"...I love you too. My little star.. sleep well.."

oh my gosh he loves humming and making little tunes while regressed. please remind him to be careful with his lyre. (even if his fingers have gotten used to the strings, don't want em to get cut even a small bit! plus the concern makes him feel all giddy n fuzzy) probably has a flute and some sort of bell set :(

d'you think he draws how he looked like when he was a wind spirit? keep memory of his past self before he took his current form. probably draws other woodland creatures, a seelie every now and then

sleeps better when he knows you're there but usually has nightmares or doesn't sleep for long increments (either that or sleeps for 10 hours at a time)

loves hide n seek, his favorite game other than playing any music related games (if u can't find him and it takes to long he starts giving u hints. little tunes being whistled, thr magical chime of a bell carried by the wind and melodic giggles that follow)

definitely drinks less but he knows if he does relapse he can come to you

very very talkative, atp consider him an info dumper. though he loves knowing he has ur attention. he's ramble about anything and everything. especially different alcohols, taste profiles, etc.

Venti with a chubby darling who’s slightly taller than him. To the point his head reaches their chest (boob height). Whenever he’s upset or stressed he just kneads his darlings chest like a cat making biscuits or shoves his face right in between them. If you ever sit down on the ground he will lay his head on your lap like a cat. He is basically cat brained.

you don’t need to be taller than him your chest is simply his pillow forever now. honestly venti 100% a bit of a chubby chaser (and also i just can’t help thinking he’s a bit of a milf-guy too. likes them to be sweet cooing caregiver types). if you are a sad repressed unfulfilled housewife in mondstadt eventually the silver-tongued bard will start mooning over you.

+regressors Aether, Kaeya, and Venti

Absolutely it’s alright to send multiple requests at once! The separate part is just for my own peace of mind trying to complete things in an organized manner, especially being a multifandom blog. You did it completely right!

Also I’m answering by this one first because Diluc brain rot is real and I will take any excuse to ramble about him. Okay onto headcanons now :D

~He denies it to the very end about ever caring. The copious amounts of agere gear stored at the Dawn Winery (and the smaller stash at Angel’s Share) begs to differ

~Comes homes more times than not with a little one

~He’s Aether’s main caregiver. Babysits for his brother (who 8 times out of 10 will drag Diluc into headspace along with him- he swears the younger does it on purpose but he has no proof) and for Venti. (At this point he might as well be the bard’s main cg it just isn’t ‘official’)

~Diluc’s babysat Sucrose and Albedo once or twice on the very rare chance that they are both small at the same time

~Aether accidentally called him “Dad” tried to quickly change it to “Diluc” and now it’s a running joke to call him “Dadluc”

Aether: *exists* Diluc: (pulls out adoption papers) Kaeya meanwhile: (resigned to getting another adopted brother)

~Super overprotective

~A little rough around the edges and he has definitely made his little ones cry on accident. Which usually has him freaking out and asking Jean for advice

~Grape juice >>>> apple juice. He claims it’s a healthier alternative. Aether doesn’t care either way as long as it’s in a bottle. Venti will cry once he tastes the drink, calms down after a while. And Kaeya will throw a temper tantrum (and the bottle right back at his brother’s head-)

~Tells the best bed time stories. Mostly of a certain dark knight hero that- no- he has no idea who it is under the mask- hush you’re going to ruin the story

~I have the super cute idea of Diluc babysitting all three regressors at once and them all falling asleep starfished across Diluc in his bed. He’s a living furnace it’s not the little’s ones fault he’s so comfy

LITTLE!VENTI HEADCANONS: THE ULTIMATE POST!

(I'm so sane about little venti is not even funny /pos so ty moot)

-His main carers are a multitude of people. Those people being Paimon and Aether, Adelinde and Diluc, or just Zhongli! Sometimes Jean too, but it depends if she's busy or not.

-Main headspace is around 1-4, but can be younger or older due to stress. If he's regressing around people he knows and feels comfortable with, he'll usually be older.

-due to injuries from the archon war, he has to be padded 24/7. Only his cg's know, and his doctor (Dr. Baizhu.)

-Favourite foods include anything, really. Apples specifically, but he doesn't really like apple juice, so he tends to gravitate to sunsettia juice or some type of flavoured milk (chocolate, strawberry, ect).

-will just bite on anyone and anything. He'll just teethe on his cg's fingers if given the chance, but he will NOT take teethers.

-has a few stuffies:

one being a dove stuffie, which helped him during his very first few regression sessions (although he didn't even know what regression was at the time)

-another stuffie is an otter, from Fontaine! Gifted by the traveller and Venti instantly fell in love and named him "elf" and he has a small bell in his chest, and Venti loves him.

-the third and final stuffie is a stuffed animal of morax, and he bought him after Zhongli faked his death (I headcanon that Venti wasn't told by Zhongli about the whole retirement thing and he thought he was dead for like, three months.)

-he had no idea that he was a regressor, and he was really confused why he was attached to blankets and stuffies animals until Diluc explained regression to him and offered to give him gear (pacifier, bottle, ect) and he was like "diluc wtf is this stuff"

-will often stomp and whine when he doesn't get his way (no naptime, his main cg isn't around, he has to take meds or needs a change, ect).

-LITERALLY as light as a feather. He's the god of wind, so he doesn't really weigh much, so it's really easy for any CG to scoop the baby up </3

-will often hold his cg's fingers to make himself feel more "kid-like"

-nightmares about archon war and Decarabian's revolt, and he 100% suffers from PTSD, but since he started regressing and letting himself be happy, he's found himself suffering less.

-his otter stuffie, wisp goes everywhere with him, big or small.

-puzzle baby!!! He can solve kids puzzles easily and he loves it.

-purrs and chirps like a cat. Since he was a wisp, he retains some of the characteristics from that time!

-SPEAKING OF WISP...he 100% slips into his wisp for to just headbutt into his cg's and just...warble and babble. Sometime he'll nest in his cg's pockets and nap.

The soft, melodic hum of the wind chimes outside Mondstadt's cathedral created a peaceful ambiance, perfectly complementing the gentle breeze that drifted through the open windows. Venti, the carefree bard, floated through the city, a soft smile gracing his lips. He was on his way to Windrise, a place of tranquility where he often went to clear his mind and play his lyre under the great oak tree

But today, Venti's usual routine took a different turn. As he arrived at the statue of the Seven, he noticed Aether sitting beneath it, looking unusually small and immediately went out to him

"Aether ?" Venti called softly, approaching with gentle steps "Are you alright, my friend ?"

Aether looked up, and Venti could see the shift in his eyes. The confident traveler seemed to have age regressed, slipping into a childlike state, no, even younger, almost like a baby! Venti's heart melted at the sight

"Aww, Aether," Venti whispered, crouching down to meet his eyes. "You look like you need some extra care today ! "

Aether's response was a small babble, his eyes looked in trust. Venti chuckled softly, the sound like the tinkling of wind chimes

"Come here, little one," Venti said, reaching out his arms. Aether instinctively reached back, and Venti scooped him up effortlessly. "Let’s find a nice, cozy spot where we can relax"

With Aether cradled securely in his arms, Venti made his way to Windrise. The journey was swift, the winds seemingly aiding the bard in his mission to bring comfort to his little one. Arriving at the large oak tree, Venti settled down on the soft grass, positioning Aether in his lap.

"Now, what does my little sunshine need?" Venti asked, brushing a strand of hair from Aether’s forehead. Aether’s tiny hand reached up, grasping at Venti’s fingers

With a gentle touch, Venti pulled out his lyre, its strings shimmering in the dappled sunlight. "How about a lullaby?" he suggested, his voice soft and melodic

Aether’s eyes widened with curiosity and he gurgled in delight. Taking that as a yes, Venti began to strum, the music flowing like a gentle breeze, soothing and calming

As he played, Venti kept his eyes on Aether, watching as the young traveler’s eyelids and smile grew heavy. The music seemed to work its magic, and soon Aether was nodding off, a peaceful expression on his face

Once Aether was sound asleep, Venti carefully laid him down on a blanket he had brought with him. He sat beside the sleeping boy, watching over him protectively. The bard’s usual carefree demeanor was replaced with a tender guardianship, his every movement and expression filled with care

"Rest well, my little one," Venti whispered, his voice barely audible over the rustle of leaves. "The winds will always guide and protect you"

As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the land, Venti continued to watch over Aether. The traveler, now regressed to an innocent state, found peace and safety in the his care.

Zhongli AgeRe Headcanons

Zhongli is a flip!

—Zhongli is a flip with a caregiver lean!

—Zhongli's regression age is 1-7! Pretty wide range!

—Zhongli's primary cargiver(s) are Ganyu, Childe, Hu Tao, on a few rare occasions, Baizhu, and formerly Venti!

—Zhongli has a hard time hiding his dragon features when in Littlespace, especially his horns.

—Zhongli is a padded little, he has custom pull-ups that accommodate his dragon tail. Zhongli prefers black pull-ups as they're easier to conceal if he has to go in public while little, but he also likes ones with flower patterns.

—Zhongli is a very clingy little guy, especially to Xiao and the other Adepti, he's scared he'll lose them too. Oftentimes Xiao ends up napping with Zhongli due to this.

—Zhongli uses a pacifier, but only when he's tired or upset. He has a lot of toys, mostly from Childe going a lil overboard. Zhongli's favorite toy is a plushie of Xiao's bird form though, it comforts him when he can't be near Xiao.

—Zhongli LOVES bubble wrap, it'll keep him occupied for hours. He loves the little pops they make.

—Zhongli's primary littles are Ganyu, Xiao, Childe, and when he's in Liyue, Aether!

—Zhongli isn't a very athletic caregiver, so older kiddos are a little tricky for him, he loves all his kiddos equally, but some take more energy than others.

—Zhongli is just as clingy of a caregiver as he is a little. Not that his littles mind, in fact most of them are just as clingy.

—Zhongli has more than once scolded someone for trying to make his kiddos work while in Littlespace, especially Xiao and Aether, Aether is just too nice to say no, and Xiao's too stubborn to admit he's too little to work.

—Sometimes if Zhongli is dealing with multiple littles and gets a little overwhelmed, he'll ask Xianyun to help, which she gladly will.

—Naptime is godly with Zhongli. He has that soothing ASMR voice that just lulls his littles straight to sleep. Zhongli will even sleep beside his kiddos in a chair if he feels it necessary.

Little Venti with Caregiver Zhongli

Having known the shorter Archon for so long, Zhongli can pick up on when Venti is regressing fairly easily

Zhongli has gotten very good at preening wings. He’ll sometimes ask Xiao if it’s ok for him to practice with the yaksha before preening his fellow archon’s wings. When he does preen Venti’s wings he’s always very gentle

Despite how young Venti regresses he has a lot of energy. Always willing to crawl around and explore his surroundings while also getting his mischief that Zhongli has to clear up

When Venti is not causing problems, he and Zhongli will spend their time relaxing and cuddling while the older archon recounts many stories. Zhongli will use his geo powers to make the characters and scenes as he talks

Zhongli loves cooking and Venti likes helping. So when meal times come around the older archon will give the little one simple things to do so he can help in the meal prep

🌻︰I think 1-4 makes a lot of sense for Venti! I can see him being in the 3-4 range when his regression is more positive, and 1-2 when he's upset

🌷・I think he likely began regressing as a result of trauma, but wasn't really aware of it at first; when he did realize what was going on, he tried to keep it to himself, not wanting to worry his friends

🌻︰I think he's the type of kiddo to wander a lot when he's tiny, so it's no surprise that one day he happened to show up at dawn winery while regressed

🌷・Diluc spotted him and realized he was acting different than usual; of course, Diluc wasn't going to just leave him outside in a vulnerable state, so he decided to keep an eye on Venti

🌻︰Diluc wasn't 100% sure what was going on, but he basically understood that Venti was in a younger mindset; he gave him some snacks and juice, and watched over him, until Venti eventually got sleepy and took a nap

🌷・Venti probably tried to brush off the encounter, but Diluc made sure to have a conversation about it with him, that ended with them agreeing the Venti could come to Dawn Winery whenever he was feeling small and didn't want to be alone

🌻︰I think tiny Venti likes to talk a lot, he gets excited over small things and starts babbling about it, pointing and trying to get Diluc to look so he can also appreciate whatever caught Venti's attention

🌷・Diluc is a very patient caregiver; he doesn't get frustrated easily, which means he usually goes along with whatever Venti wants; he just makes sure to keep a close eye on him to make sure Venti doesn't try to do anything too mischievous

🌻︰I think Venti would really like activities that involve getting messy, such as finger painting or jumping in mud puddles

🌷・He's a very active kiddo in general, so he's basically just running around excitedly while Diluc watches fondly (Venti's least favorite part is cleaning up after, but Diluc tries to make it fun with a sticker chart!! that's usually enough to motivate Venti to tidy up any mess he made)

Ok. Furverse thoughts n pet peeves (hehe)

Mainly talking about bttwns' furverse but also my interpretation of furverse in general

1. Dyed fur and hair are possible imo. Some hair is either long enough fur to create the illusion, some hair is hair. Characters like Cherry and That news reporter are just built different lol. No one has different or unnatural colored fur, so no pinks or blues unless it's Really There. There's prolly cosmetic surgery out there in the 2000s that lets you permanently dye parts or ur whole body.

2. On the food size and portions- while everyone is still normal sized and their heights are just slightly altered to reflect their species (Charlie is still short like That bc hes a mole, and Nigel/Lola would be maybe a lil shorter? In that case girl just Step on him). I exaggerate their heights and bodies to reflect their actual species so still having that kinda morphology they'd need to still intake what their animal would need. Perhaps the government prescribes a standardized sizing system for Extra large, large, mean, and small critters? This demand would change depending on location if a city or town or village. The price for bigger food might be a lil more? So most would opt to buy medium food, or if it'd help them save, large.

3. On size dynamics, a huuuuge pet peeve i have regarding relationships that really lean into it, i'm not a fan of how ppl write that smaller animals are practically helpless and that bigger ones are always the caregivers. I mean in some cases it would be needed..but i just dislike this culture or ultra dependence on the bigger guy to get jobs like cleaning n cooking done

I wanna help too!! I'm not helpless but I do like the idea of gettin taken care of. Being held and allowing others to do stuff for me but yk!!????!?! Its just Weird to me. Maybe im just worried i'd be considered a bigger animal due to my body type but cats aren't that big compared to maybe a jackal. Uhhh

3rd one is a lil venty bc theres a certain artist i just. Dont like that leans too much into it. YOU take care of ur partner too dummy idk...
