I won't lie, this took way longer to write than I wanted it to. I had half a mind to make this a Palestinian awareness post since I headcanon Alhaitham as at least partially Palestinian, but I don't want to scare or upset any kiddos, so that can be a post for a later date. Anyways, thank you for the request!

Alhaitham is a flip!

—Alhaitham is a flip with no lean!

—Alhaitham's regression age is 0-4, toddler kiddo!

—Alhaitham's primary caregiver(s) are Kaveh, Tighnari, and on occasions, Cyno!

—Alhaitham is completely nonverbal when in Littlespace, only "speaking" in babbles or coos, which can make him frustrated when he's trying to say what he needs.

—Alhaitham cries a surprising amount, especially when his caregiver is away for too long. He has separation anxiety.

—Alhaitham's favorite toy is a little bangle cat plushie Kaveh got him, Alhaitham named her Bima (Bee-ma) and he's very particular about how people say her name.

—Alhaitham is the type to try and suppress his regression, claiming his either too busy or that he doesn't "need" to regress. This often backfires horribly and then one of Alhaitham's caregivers—most often times Kaveh—now has a fussy, clingy, overwhelmed toddler to care for.

—Alhaitham has a sage green pacifier with gold detailing, he picked it so it'd be easier to hide in the folds of his clothes.

—As stated earlier, Alhaitham cries a surprising amount, it's most likely because he doesn't let himself cry or really feel any emotions while big, so little Alhaitham feels everything. It often tires the poor thing out and he winds up taking an impromptu nap.

—Due to Alhaitham's nonverbal nature, Alhaitham uses sign language when in older headspaces, when super little he'll point at who or what he wants and babble softly, as if asking as politely as he can in his current headspace.

—Alhaitham's primary littles are Kaveh, Tighnari, and Cyno! Alhaitham babysat Wanderer once or twice as well at Nahida's request.

—Alhaitham will never admit it aloud, but he absolutely loves when his littles ask for uppies, he wastes no time in scooping up his kiddo and bouncing them slightly, Alhaitham isn't good with words, so knowing he's soothing his littles makes him happy.

—Alhaitham is a shameless caretaker, if one of his littles slip in public Alhaitham can and will drop everything to keep his babies okay, even if that inadvertently draws attention to him.

—one of the only times Alhaitham will share his noise canceling headphones. Especially Tighnari due to his hypersensitive ears. Alhaitham hates loud noises, but he hates when his littles are scared more.

—Alhaitham gives me girl dad vibes, I know all of his littles are male but just...that's a girl dad I just know it.

—Alhaitham tries to scold bad behavior, but the second his littles cry Alhaitham feels like the worst father and wants to backpedal even though he knows that won't teach his kiddos anything.

—Alhaitham doesn't really care what his kiddos call him. He's a big brother today? Great. He's dad now? Perfect. Alhaitham doesn't really care, as long as his kiddos are happy.

—Alhaitham will let his littles sleep in his bed if anyone has a nightmare, Alhaitham is surprisingly very soothing even when half asleep, his littles are his top priority.

—Alhaitham always has spare everything on hand, diapers, pacifiers, toys, a thermometer, he's got everything. The best Dada when it comes to scrapped knees or bruises, he doesn't get over the top with concern, but he doesn't just completely blow off any concern. Alhaitham will clean and bandage the injury, kiss his littles head, and tell them they're okay now. Simple without freaking out over a paper cut.

Mini-fic plot: Little!Kaveh needs a nap but doesn't want to, so Alhaitham has to step in!

"Kaveh, you need to nap."

The regressed architect looked up, hands full of plastic building blocks. "No, I don't."

Alhaitham chuckled, sitting on the floor carefully. "Oh? You don't need a nap?"

The blonde nodded. "Mhm. M' building a tower."

"Are you going to see how high you can stack it, baby?"

Kaveh nodded, yawning again. "Baba, can I hav' juice?"

He wanted juice, as expected. However, if he had any more juice, he'd simply not take a nap, and Alhaitham was just concerned. "Baby, you need to nap. Papa will go make you some nice warm milk."

The other let out a soft whine, yawning again. "S'eepy..."

"Well, maybe you'd like to clean up your blocks and-" Alhaitham didn't even have a chance to finish his sentence before the other let out a whine again.

"Not s'eepy." he pouted.

Alhaitham came back, a warm bottle in his clutches. "Dada's sleepy. Does that help?" he offered. "We can both have naptime together, hm?"

He paused for a second, clearly thinking. "Can we knock down the tower?" to which Alhaitham nodded.

After a few moments, Kaveh had knocked the tower down, blocks scattered everywhere. Alhaitham had informed the other to "not worry" about the mess, and shortly after, he was hauled onto the other's hip, sipping quietly at the milk, causing his tired body to almost shut down from the comfort.

A yawn emitted, and he found himself tucked into bed with his stuffed animal- which was that of a desert fox, who he called "Sandy."

"Are you and Sandy comfortable, baby boy?" Alhaitham questioned.

He nodded. "Mhm...sandy is snuggled up, an we' cuddlin!" he smiled, eyes growing tired, evident bags around them. He hadn't the energy to be fussy, as he'd gotten hardly enough sleep this week.

Alhaitham offered a pacifier to the other, staying by the other's side as he dozed off, sucking on it gently. He was just glad that his baby was getting some well needed rest.

The best at bedtime stories,, his voice is so calming and relaxing.. you'd fall asleep in minutes ^.^

He's not the most verbal cg due to his autism, but he still tries...most of the times he uses sign language and even teaches his little to use it.

He promises he's not ignoring you, he probably just can't hear due to his sound deafening headphones..so he always reminds you beforehand that he's going to wear them/turn them on so you don't get fussy

Loves those sensory mats for babies,, he'll get each one for his little, giving them a new one each day to just play on and have tummy time on

Kaveh often comes home to see Alhaitham bouncing his little on his leg while he's reading, calls it bad parenting but you always stick ur tongue out at kaveh (">:p") /silly

Bath time!, baths are relaxing for Alhaitham it helps him wind down and relax..and it's more relaxing with a little one snuggled up in his arms falling asleep or playing with bath toys

Most people compare Him to a snow leopard and kaveh to a rabbit..so sometimes the nicknames will from slip Alhaitham while he's taking care of you

" Little rabbit, what ya got there? "

" Nap time, hm little bun? "

He gets embarrassed each time but whenever he sees the smile on your face from the nicknames, it makes him feel happy inside

Alhaitham usually isn't one for nicknames for himself but he'll let you call him: "Haihai"(chu can thank kaveh :3) "papa" "dada" and others that you wan call him!

I like to think AlHaitham is a little due to his lack of a true childhood. but he hides it from people because he finds it embarrassing. Even Kaveh. He’s always been a solitary child, so staying locked up in his room reading when he’s in littlespace isn’t that bad for him, but sometimes his loneliness hits a lot harder and he gets distressed…and he thinks so hard about it that he ends up pulling himself out of the mindstate.

Then Kaveh finds out about his regression, and helps him little by little. Keeps his door open in the night. Makes sure there’s some easier books for AlHaitham to read. Gets him a cute little falcon stuffed animal so he doesn’t feel so sad. Cute stuff.

~Rationally Alhaitham tells himself he doesn’t need a caregiver to regress and while he doesn’t the poor boy ends up making himself nearly sick with loneliness.

~Just overthinking about everything. Like he could come out of his room and just exist in the same space as Kaveh. Surely nothing will go wrong. Then just spirals over all the ways it can go wrong- like if he’s asked a question and forced to talk, or gets to clingy, or is being annoying…

~Oh gosh and trying to read anything of importance small would just give him a headache and he’d probably cry too.

~I think Alhaitham would enjoy being read allowed to a lot and once he finds a favorite book he has Kaveh read it to him over and over again despite having the pages memorized

Little Kaveh and Carer Alhaitham Headcanons!

These two are some of my partner's favorites and I can't wait to meet them~

Kaveh regresses to 2-4 years old

He is sooo emotional while regressed! He's super empathetic and a bit of a crybaby

Little things like dropping one of his stuffed animals feels like the end of the world to him!

Alhaitham is a good foil to Kaveh's strong emotions; he's able to calmly talk his baby down from the apparent calamity that set him off, usually by providing either a simple solution to the problem or distracting Kaveh with something more fun

Of course, Kaveh has very strong positive feelings too! He gets so excited about things he likes, and Alhaitham finds it super endearing~

Alhaitham tends to be pretty laid back and honestly sometimes wishes that he felt more comfortable showing his emotions like Kaveh does... Luckily, said baby is perfectly happy to drag his dada along on all sorts of adventures!

Kaveh's not much into nature trips; he much prefers hopping around the city ooh-ing and aah-ing at the big, pretty buildings, which he always points out to Alhaitham (despite the building being pretty obvious!)

When they're out though, Alhaitham requires Kaveh to hold his hand at all times, because Kaveh has a tendency to run off and then end up scared and crying because he can't find his dada

Kaveh is always exhausted when they get back home, so he needs lots of help getting clean and into some comfy pajamas

When he gets too sleepy, its time for cuddles with dada and Kaveh's Immense army of stuffed animals

Alhaitham often reads out loud to Kaveh during evenings like this, when everything feels so warm and soft and his baby is being so sweet~

Ahhh, I'm obsessed with them... 🥹 I wasn't gonna do a full moodboard but I found too many pictures I liked, hehe~ The binkie is from Velueur, which looks like a real cute shop!

♡ Since he regresses to a very young age, he doesn’t speak much when regressed and doesn’t like being too far away from Kaveh, if he picks him up- it’s gonna take a looooot of effort to get him to let go.

♡ He loves being to sit on his caregivers lap and be read to, it’s s sure fire way to make him relax or drift off to sleep.

♡ He hates loud noises, even more so when he regresses, Kaveh makes sure he has ear defenders at all times to prevent Alhaitham from getting upset.

Cyno was leaning against the wall, with his arms crossed as he stared at the interaction before him. Kaveh, Alhaitham, Collei, and Tighnari were all sat at the table, with glasses and snacks as they talked to eachother. Alhaitham had his noise canceling earpieces in, just watching Kaveh and Tighnari's usual gossip. Cyno had been working all day, and being around people, in the end-he was drained, socially drained. When Kaveh got up with Alhaitham to get more wine, Tighnari looked away from his glass, to check on Cyno.

“Cyno, is there something bugging you?” Tighnari asked, gently, but breaking silence. Collei, who was leaned over the table, face burried in Culein Anbar. Cyno, who was exhausted… and hadn’t even realized he had regressed, glanced away. Tighnari stood up from the table, and put his hand on Cyno's shoulder. Cyno looked at Tighnari, making eyecontact. Cyno seemed to give off exactly how he was feeling just by the look he gave.

“If you needed some one on one time, why didn’t you just say something?” Tighnari whispered softly, trying to help soothe the regressed and socially exhausted Cyno. Cyno exhaled, and let his arms fall to his sides. He looked away from tighnari, maybe just a bit shy. Tighnari sighed, and reached his arms out. “Come on, let’s go somewhere safer,” Tighnari then lifted Cyno into his arms, and let him rest his head on his shoulder.

“Mmmm…” Cyno cooed into Tighnari's shoulder, his cheek rested up against Tighnari's shoulder. He was starting to feel safer in his caregivers arms. Tighnari set Cyno down on his bed, as Cyno settled. Cyno rubbed his eyes, and laid on his side. Though, he did seem to need his comfort items.

“Do you need your bottle, little one?” Tighnari asked gently, taking off Cyno's helmet, and setting it down. Cyno nodded, and made a ‘mmm’ noise as a response. Tighnari walked away and prepared a nice warm bottle for the little Mahamatra. “Here you go.” Tighnari whispered, as he placed a little kiss on Cyno's forehead, and handed the bottle to him.

Cyno took the bottle, and eventually fell asleep, as Tighnari sat beside him for comfort.

Slight Warning: nightmares, bedwetting, emetophobia, mommy issues, spoilers for Kaveh's backstory, read at your own volition

Kaveh is a flip!

—Kaveh is a flip with a little lean!

—Kaveh's regression age is 0-3, he's baby!

—Kaveh's primary caregiver(s) are Alhaitham, Tighnari, Cyno, and on a few rare occasions, Wanderer!

—You'd think he'd be a high maintenance/high energy little due to how hyper he is as an adult, but baby Kaveh is actually rather low energy. He likes taking naps quite a lot too.

—Kaveh's favorite toys are a Goose plushie named Gee, and a tin of building blocks Alhaitham bought him. Kaveh loves building little towers and houses. Kaveh takes Gee everywhere with him, and Kaveh will cry if Gee gets "hurt" (stained fur/ripped fabric/fell in some mud/all those things) and will be inconsolable until Gee is better.

—Kaveh cries quite a surprising amount, the smallest things make him cry, he dropped his bottle? Its the end of the world. The sky isn't the right shade of blue? Unacceptable. Oftentimes a warm bottle and a cuddle will calm him down, but sometimes Kaveh just needs/wants to cry.

—Kaveh's pacifier is orange and yellow with a lion sticker, it's basically glued to his mouth, it's one of the reasons why Kaveh is nonverbal when in Littlespace.

—Kaveh is a padded little, he has nightmares of when his parents left, especially his father, which often leads to needing a diaper change.

—Kaveh wears almost exclusively onesies, he hates wearing adult clothes, especially his usual attire with the open chest.

—Kaveh has been mistaken as a girl, which he takes as a compliment. Kaveh doesn't mind being girly, which Alhaitham thinks is cute and likes to see how far that goes, so far Alhaitham has gotten away with putting Kaveh's hair in pigtails, dressing him in all pink, and on one occasion, even put Kaveh in a dress. Which Kaveh thoroughly enjoyed.

—Kaveh has mild food restrictions, he is a vegan as an adult, but he's made it clear to his caregivers that he'd rather eat meat or animal products then make his little-self go hungry. Oftentimes, Kaveh just has fruit and Oat milk bottles, but on a few rare occasions, he'll help Ali—The name is little-self blessed Alhaitham with—finish up some eggs.

—Kaveh gets stress-sickness a lot when he's small, especially when he thinks about his parents, poor baby throws up a lot because of stress, which means he's in bed a lot. Tighnari is an impromptu pediatrician at times, making sure Kaveh is okay.

—Kaveh can, will, and has cried over thinking his caregiver(s) was leaving him, even just being in a different room for too long will send him into hysterical pleading that he'll be good and that he won't cause anymore troubles and to just please keep loving him. (Alhaitham is not too happy over how his mother let her grief traumatize Kaveh)

—Kaveh's primary little(s) are Alhaitham, Tighnari, and Cyno! On rare occasions he'll babysit Aether.

—surprisingly, Kaveh prefers feminine titles like "mama" over more masculine ones like "dada".

—absolutely loves reading/playing with his kiddos, Kaveh is the go-to for storytime in Sumeru, hands-down the best storyteller in the region.

—Kaveh isn't afraid to dress up/get dirty with his kiddos, his Little's are the only ones allowed to touch his hair, what an honor!

—Kaveh can't cook that well—his parents never taught him—but that doesn't mean his Little's are living off fast food, Kaveh is teaching himself simple, baby-safe foods, so far, all his Little's unanimously agree his fruit purées are amazing.

—Kaveh has an amazing singing voice, but he gets stage-freight, he only sings to his babies when he thinks they are asleep.

—Kaveh loves carrying/holding his Little's, which works for him because 3 out of 4 of the Little's he cares for are clingy infants.

—Kaveh is a rather emotional person as we know, you can expect any art work his babies have made him framed on the wall, and he will brag about how talented his Little's are to anyone/anything with the ability to hear.

—the best at comforting, Kaveh knows all the right words—or lack of words—to calm and comfort his babies, Mama Kaveh always is open for a cuddle if needed.
