The Flagellation of Christ
Artist: Caravaggio (Italian, 1571-1610)
Date: 1607
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Collection: Museo di Capodimonte, Naples, Italy
Description
The Flagellation of Christ, in art sometimes known as Christ at the Column or the Scourging at the Pillar, is an episode from the Passion of Jesus as presented in the Gospels. As such, it is frequently shown in Christian art, in cycles of the Passion or the larger subject of the Life of Christ.
Flagellation at the hands of the Romans is mentioned in three of the four canonical Gospels: John 19:1, Mark 15:15, and Matthew 27:26, and was the usual prelude to crucifixion under Roman law. None of the three accounts is more detailed than John's "Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged" (NIV).

Crumbling Paradise
How could I have ever known?
My sunshine isn't a star anymore,
They're not shinning...no not anymore.
Became a miscreant within a supernova,so long before;
My only shimmer of hope,my life,my world...
I wish I hadn't seen it all.. a tie between the afterworld...
