To elaborate more on what this could mean, i think it could have something to do with the fact that futa felt himself part of his friendgroup (the team) because of all the things he did with them together (playing for the team) but they never really saw him as one of them nor did they care (he was barely substitute). Him entering a soccer stadium in substitute-like clothing but ending up in a dangerous, dark, neverending underground tunnel just further showcases how much he was NOT meant to reach the field with the rest of the team.

They can call him what they want, doesn’t make it true. Supernatural was a budget show with only enough money for 2 leads (Jared and Jensen) and 2 regulars per season, that’s why Misha was rarely regular status. He should have went when Mark S left but he took a downgrade and paycut instead (which Mark S had the self respect to reject). The last downgrade was to make way for Mark P and Alex. C. He also was not automatically 3rd on the call sheet which is what I think they are getting at and confusing it with “lead.” He was given an “and” which is always a consolation prize and it’s still after the actual leads, not the same status as them. He was also given some promotion in articles predominantly by Sam H and Damian, who are superfans (Sam H is more of a Jensen superstan though). He wasn’t covered in anything meaningful as opposed to J2 who were both on shows like Conan. M wouldn’t have been invited on that show as GA don’t know who he is.

He was very lucky that Jared and Jensen were so generous and not divas and he took that and acted like a diva himself, riling his cult up constantly.

Maybe the third lead to you, but he was always listed as recurring after season 7. Then in season 12 he was demoted to guest star. Read the credits people. He was never a lead.

I've drawn him a couple of times, just really little/in the background. but I should draw him more, I love this guy a lot! I have many, many thoughts about him and the way he parallels Silver...and also I think it is extremely funny that his ghost is stuck in a ring. especially considering where that ring has been for the last 16-ish years.
