So, my mutuals probably know already that I do like Taylor Swift. She's been one of my top 5 artists on spotify since 2021, I went to the eras tour and it was incredible, and both folklore and evermore are on my list of top 50 albums.

That said, people on tiktok who try to make a father figure edit with Taylor - you should stop. Just give up. It's not going to work. Taylor does not have the enegy to carry a father figure edit. It takes a certain kind of person to make that work.

Megan Thee Stallion? Sure. Dua Lipa? Yes. Julien Baker? Obviously. Hozier? You could make this work under the right circumstances. Florence + The Machine? You're a visionary. Bruce Springsteen? Foaming at the mouth rn. Reneé Rapp? Ehh, not so sure about this one.

But Taylor Swift? Taylor Allison Swift??? You might want to just close the app right now. You will not make it work. Might as well look for sunrise in the west. Sorry not sorry.

If anyone was awaiting the conclusion to this - I went home deciding that I didn't really have anything urgent to do in Warsaw, turned on the tv, watched Perfect Days with my mom since it was on, ate lunch, and went to catch another train. The only real issue beside wasted time was that my nasty frostbite from a month before flared up again because of 2 hrs of exposure to the elements which suuucks

I had a whole queue of Bruce songs prepared for a train ride to stare out the window to but it's been delayed 35 minutes (so far) so now I'm just frantically adding Phil Ochs to listen to in the meantime and not mess up my queue for later
