First occurrence:

“Pablo Páez Gavira! Your socks are on the stairs again!” You yelled out, picking up Pablo’s sweaty training socks. A few weeks after moving in together, Pablo’s habits started to worsen. Socks left and right. Shirts left and right. Unkept personal space, hair from his beard trimmer sprinkled in the bathroom sink. Every single time, an argument erupted.

“Pablo, your socks are still on the stairs. I asked you to put them away hours ago. I’ve already done laundry, I’m not doing a load just for your socks.” Your words echoed against the four walls of your room, Gavi’s focus being solely on his phone. “Oye, I’m talking to you!” You snapped your fingers at him.

“Mh, yeah. Thanks for the laundry, amor.” He said, barely looking up from his phone.

You sighed, exhausted from picking up after him. “Why do I stay?” You asked yourself.

Calling Aurora, you sobbed as you explained her brother’s behaviour.

“I don’t know what to do anymore. He’s just… a slob. Dirty dishes everywhere, dirty clothes. Tissues and towels randomly discarded. I don’t recognize the state of our home anymore. And I can’t keep cleaning for the both of us anymore, not as he undoes everything the second I’m done.”

But Aurora’s words were only excuses. She made you feel hysterical; unreasonable for feeling the way you did. She idolized Pablo’s actions, refusing to see the emotional and physical strain his behaviour had on you. Sobbing in bed, you turn away from Gavi, refusing to sleep face to face anymore.

Second occurrence:

The house was a mess. With his injury Gavi was always home. You, on the other hand, were juggling between your university classes and your internship, leading to an easier than normal exhaustion rate. Finally pulling up to your street, you prayed that Gavi had remembered to call the plumber. Opening the door, your face fell as you saw the state of the kitchen.

“Pablo…?” You called out for him.

“Gaming room.” His eyes were glued to the screen, barely greeting you as you came into the room.

“What happened in the kitchen?” You asked, a twinge of exhaustion in your voice. You were bracing yourself for one of Pablo’s nonchalant answers.

“Wanted to cook, but the dishwasher was broken. And I was too tired to do the dishes by hand. Why didn’t you tell me the dishwasher was broken?”

“Please tell me this is a joke…Pablo I told you to call the plumber, because the dishwasher is broken. The plumber goes on vacation for the next 3 weeks. That’s 3 more weeks with a broken dishwasher.” You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose.

“Dunno what the big deal is… You can just wash them by hand. Besides, how was I supposed to know to call him?”

“I left you a reminder on your phone, a voicemail and a handwritten note in the kitchen.” You said, slamming the door close.

Instead of catching up on the reports for your internship, you spent that night cleaning up Gavi’s culinary mess. You were finally putting away the final dishes when Hurricane Páez Gavira came and undid everything, leaving you in a state of emotional distress. “Why do I still do this?” You asked yourself.

Third occurrence:

Pablo Gavi. That was the name everyone in the media was talking about.

Gavi, rising midfielder, caught going out with a social media influencer.

Pablo Páez Gavira is simply a man.

Y/N Y/LN unable to keep her man away from other women.

Is infidelity a requirement to being a football player?

Headlines had your head spinning. Yes, Gavi has been caught going out with an influencer notorious for breaking couples. But you weren’t worried, not anymore. Your relationship was barely functioning at this point, with you and Gavi sleeping in separate rooms. In the eyes of the media, you and Gavi were still dating. But in private, you had gone from lovers to strangers in the span of a few months. You weren’t going to lie to yourself, the news stung, but something inside of your soul burst. A feeling of hope overtook you. You started packing your bags, leaving behind anything that reminded you of Gavi. After everything you had put yourself through in order to save the sinking ship that was your relationship; after the nights spent praying for a better partner, you finally had your way out. Gavi would forever be painted as the villain in your relationship, the reason why you had split, the reason why you had changed. And you didn’t mind, not one bit.

“Where are you going?” Pablo’s voice interrupted you.

“Away.” You coldly answered. He shuffled closer, picking up the hoodie he had given you for your 2nd anniversary.

“You forgot to pack this.” He handed it to you. It took a lot of self control to not smack it out of his hands.

“Keep it. I have no use for it anymore.” You lifted your suitcase from the floor, bringing it to the hallway.

“What if you get cold?”

“Why do you care, mh? Why do you suddenly care? Is it because you were caught with that influencer? Was it worth it? Was she worth it? I loved you, Pablo. I really did. But you proved yourself to be a selfish person, and an ever more selfish lover. I’m leaving,” you held back tears. “ I’m leaving this city, you, this house. Whatever happens to you in life, good luck. Maybe we weren’t meant to workout, but I would have loved to be treated with some much deserved respect in this relationship. I hope this failure serves as a lesson for your future relationship.”

“Respect? I respected you-” Pablo started arguing, but was cut off by your voice toppling his.

“You never respected me. I was left to pick up the slack, rain or shine; tired or not; I was the sole caretaker for this house. I cooked for us, I not only cleaned up after myself, but after you! For things I shouldn’t even have to remind you! Like your fucking socks, or the goddam dishes, or to call the fucking plumber. You couldn’t even bother Pablo. And I grew tired. So maybe you cheating off with this influencer isn’t that bad of a thing, because now I have an excuse to say to your face as to why I’m leaving you. Have fun being the villain in this story, Pablo, because I’m done.” You picked up your remaining bags and loaded them off in the trunk of your car.

Pablo was still standing in the doorway, his face closed off. He couldn’t do anything besides watch your car leave the driveway, the portal closing behind you for the last time.

What Is Cloudlands AU?

An FOP series ft. detailed lore and character relationships. The goal is fanfics that expand on the show's canon without conflicting it if at all possible, even if that means wild explanations.

Why does Crocker's portal to Fairy World have a completely new design every time it appears? Who's that anti-fairy kid Jorgen claims H.P. and Anti-Cosmo raised together? What's up with the Sacred Silver Pencil Sharpener of Canada? And are you telling me Cosmo and Wanda were assigned as godparents to Erg 40,000 years before they were married, presumably while Wanda and Juandissimo were dating? What was that like? We talk about it all!

Cosmo, Wanda, Timmy, Chloe, and other humans (such as Denzel Crocker, Kevin Crocker, Gary, Betty, and Ed Leadly) also have arcs and messy backstories.

Canon-compliant, but expanded on. Ex:

- Anti-Cosmo married his childhood betrothed while Anti-Wanda was dating Anti-Juandissimo.

- H.P. and several OCs across his long life. Those romances go... great!

- Also worth mentioning that I treat Wanda/Juandissimo as a sincere and pleasant part of their backstories. They went their separate ways, but had a non-abusive dating life. They were friends :)

- Sanderson has a ton of will o' the wisp dating life issues, but we don't have time to unpack that right now.

Setting

Most works take place in the cloudlands, which include Fairy World, Anti-Fairy World, and Pixie World. Some works takes place in Dimmsdale. Rarely works take place elsewhere, such as alien planets or Unwish Island.

Is It For Me?

This AU is highly detailed. It clings to canon to the point of being ridiculous. It can be tough to get into due to long works and a heavy focus on less popular characters (such as Pixies), but there's a lot to read.

This AU focuses more on magical beings in the supporting cast than it does the main cast, but there are still notable pieces about the mains.

Growing up, making mistakes, pushing through hard times, recovery, revenge, forgiveness, growth, change, and letting go.

Plot Highlights

- Origin of the Pixies - A young H.P. contracts the real-world bacteria Wolbachia pipientis, which causes wasps to reproduce asexually. Now he's caring for an exponentially increasing amount of pixies he never wanted in the first place, on top of drama like his wife accusing him of cheating and him being kidnapped by Cupid's family because he's the holotype of a brand new species.

- Frayed Knots - Anti-Cosmo, raised in the anti-fairy baby ban era, experiments with Anti-Fairy biology in the hopes he'll discover a loophole to achieve his dream of being a father. In doing so, he finds a breakthrough that could possibly flip biology around so Anti-Fairies are the hosts and Fairies are their reflective counterparts bound to their whims... and he becomes obsessed with fathering a generation whose biology is exactly that.

- 130 Reasons Why I'm Fairy Trash - Happy Peppy Gary and Betty were raised as Pixie tools since they were 10. At age 18, Betty opts to wipe her magical memories, cut ties with Gary, and move to Brightburg. Gary, blindsided and desperate, throws himself down a trainwreck of bad decisions in an attempt to retrieve her memories from Fairy World. Everybody clap for him. (And other stories.)

- Come What May - Kevin Crocker spends the spring with an uncle and grandmother he's never met. Ghosts, the popular kids, an anti-fairy, and his uncle's talking cat make it their personal mission to bother him. It's a good thing he's dead inside.

- "Solo" (T - 6000 words) - A young pixie answers phones as part of his coming of age trial. Things go awry when Gary and Betty call for help from Florida and the inexperienced pixie is at a loss about how to get them back to California. Takes place during the S4 episode "Baby Face." Huge personal favorite of mine; this is where plot really kicks off. Good introduction to the drama you can expect in a lot of my work.

- "Sentry" (G - 6000 words) - The start of a 3-part arc about Poof, Foop, and their pixie classmate (Finley) at boarding school before transitioning to spring break. The arc starts with Poof getting in trouble for fighting, then moves to Poof reflecting while on the bus, then moves to the three kids spending time with their grandparents.

- Very soft drama with some fluff; a good taste without getting overwhelmed. Also, this arc is more recent than the pieces above, which were posted in 2016. - Takes place at the end of 130 Prompts Arc 2, so it does contain very minor plot spoilers.

The 130 Prompts project is a series of one-shots that explores my FOP character ideas and worldbuilding.

- "Excitement" (G - 7500 words) - The first piece written for my series 130 Reasons Why I'm Fairy Trash. It's about the Pixies traumatizing 10-year-old Gary and Betty at an amusement park so they'll cling to safety in the future. 📋 AU Notes & Warnings

Author writes villain encounters & villain backstories about complex non-human societies and does not inherently condone any viewpoints presented by characters or the societies they live in.

- This series focuses heavily on Pixies, Anti-Fairies, and cloudland or Fae culture. There is less focus on human godchildren or the main characters in the show (like Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda).

- This series is built so that many intricate storylines and worldbuilding elements weave together. There's no shame in skipping pieces you don't want to read, but you may miss plot or worldbuilding details important to the larger story. It can be intimidating to get into such a big project.

- This series does have fluff, but relies on drama. Content may be upsetting, and the order you read things may limit the chance for mental breaks.

- Lots of drama and complicated things going on. I recently changed the rating of my longfics to Not Rated & Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings due to the sheer variety of things, such as:

- Fantastic racism (Fairies, Anti-Fairies, Pixies, genies, and others disliking each other)

-> Show canon heavily implies these races have conflict. Jorgen faced no pushback for calling Norm a "filthy genie" on international TV. Jorgen and others refer to Pixies with rude terms such as "cone-headed freaks", etc.

- Social ladder/caste system (Cupid's ancestors organized fae in a list many generations ago to help Fairies find species with heat cycles that overlapped theirs, but the system has been corrupted into legal discrimination)

- Biologically assigned status (Male Fairies who eat a lot of jelly at a young age will develop into gynes: big, tough, freckled Fairies who fight with each other to defend their turf and drone companions. Think how H.P. and Big Daddy have unique body shapes compared to the other Fairies. They're gynes!)

- Some young bees are fed royal jelly so they develop into queens. The name for these "princesses" is gynes, so I yoinked that

- Most of the pixies are drones, apart from a few gynes. Vice President Longwood is due to succeed H.P. as Head Pixie someday, which Sanderson (a drone) absolutely despises.

- Fairies lick each other in greeting to spread pheromones, mirroring a hive of eusocial bees that gather near the queen to lick her

It's basically a non-sexual A/B/O dynamic, which was completely unintentional and I got a good laugh out of it when I realized what A/B/O was years ago. Convergent evolution...

- Mpreg - It's canon in the show that male Fairies give birth. I don't have anything to say about it; just that it's canon in my work too and treated with the same sincerity as everything else.

- Injury - Includes long-term injury, temporary injuries, and self-harm (Ex: Cutting your palm to stop using magic so you won't age). I don't consider this series bloody or gory. Fairies do have rainbow blood that's mentioned occasionally, but they're very elastic and heal quickly. The humans don't really have bloody moments.

- Character death - Most common when gynes fight to the death, but I've written other deaths as well, such as one where the Pixies caused a car crash on purpose because it benefited them.

-> Fairies are very resilient. Anti-Fairies regenerate if they're killed, as they can't die if their host counterpart (the Fairy) still lives. Death isn't overly common in my 'fics, but I'd feel weird warning for other things and not mentioning this one.

- Sexism (Anti-Fairy World tends to look down on women; Anti-Cosmo in particular tends to parrot the sexist beliefs he grew up with and gets annoyed at pushback)

-> Male bats often mate with many females (up to 30 sometimes). I built Anti-Fairy society around the idea that females outnumber males, but males see it as a sign that many women should be subservient to them because "it's nature." Anti-Cosmo is a product of his culture. Diversity loss! The villain has harmful views!

-> Anti-Fairies tend to be less racist and more sexist than Fairies while Fairies tend to be less sexist and more racist.

- Honey-lock - Anti-Fairies get flooded with hormones and magic 3 months after their counterparts mated. The pair are driven to locate each other, mate, and produce children in reflection of their counterparts.

-> what do you mean that's traumatizing? Dang, you guys live like this?

-> Anti-Cosmo's underlying goal in Frayed Knots is to beat the system so the next generation of Anti-Fairies will be born without the honey-lock's effects.

- Sociosexual Anti-Fairy culture - Anti-Fairies have a touch-based society themed around bonobos because I thought it would be interesting, particularly in a society where pregnancy is out of your control anyway (i.e. you can't accidentally get pregnant- It's in your counterparts' hands).

-> I do think "It feels good and we have few consequences, so why not?" is a reasonable direction for their culture

-> I'm not sure I would make that same choice years later, as it can be quite off-putting, but I'm glad I got to worldbuild with such unique building blocks. I enjoy it, but it's not for everyone.

- Infidelity (Anti-Cosmo cheats on his wife before Anti-Wanda and is implied to sometimes cheat on Anti-Wanda)

-> You're telling me the sexist sociosexual culture has infidelity and the evil villain fell into it? Bummer...

- Iris Virus - Having colored eyes in Anti-Fairy culture is played as an STD that's ceremonially passed to new individuals (because... sociosexual culture).

-> Cosmo's mother is doting in canon, so I portray Anti-Cosmo's mom as abusive to him.

-> Cupid's family kills any children that aren't born triplets due to a sacred oath his ancestors took to uphold love all hours of the day. Tradition requires three children to split the magic by way of Morning, Afternoon, and Evening.

-> I would say it's also child abuse that Jorgen was raised with all the pressures of being Keeper of the Rules from the moment he was born, including being pressured to cut off his own wings in line with the tradition of "noble self-sacrifice."

- Young characters & implied offscreen sex - Are you seriously telling me the popular teens might've had sex when they were something like 150,000 years old and they'd been together since childhood? What on earth.

-> In Anti-Fairy society, you're recognized as a full adult at age 150,000.

-> In Fairy World, you're recognized as an adult when you moult your juvenile wings and grow your adult wings. This is generally between ages 140,000 and 180,000.

-> In Pixie World, you're recognized as a full adult at age 250,000. H.P. keeps age of majority high to encourage his pixies to establish themselves in Pixie World instead of leaving. These are non-human cultures that each have their own views.

-> Poof and Goldie have an arc about Goldie having Harm OCD over the fear that she'll fall into her will o' the wisp species stereotype and take advantage of Poof. Meanwhile, Poof has panic attacks because he's pretty sure she did, but blames himself for not being more self-aware. 😬

-> Foop gave his lover Anti-Marigold the iris virus when they were considered young adults in Anti-Fairy society (but still in school) to see if his dad would notice. Years later, he has a breakdown over the fact Anti-Cosmo never did, nor does he seem to care if his son is being reckless.

-> The sexual part of the Celebrity Kids arc is kept off-screen throughout the 130 Prompts. This arc is about the stress of being high schoolers treated like celebrities, ambassadors, royalty, and sports stars.

- Implied incest in H.P.'s family line before he was born (In the old days, it was common to marry cousins to preserve money. This custom has ended in modern times, but comes up on rare occasion)

-> It's implied this family history led to the genetic mutation that gave him wasp biology; that mutation plays a big role in his story.

-> H.P. talks about how he admires his counterpart, whom he considers a cousin. Sometimes other characters mock his admiration because of his infamous family history. It's not even important in his present-day life; it's just that my 'fics are full of jerks.

So.. It is my birthday today, and I'm very excited to tell you that I'm introducing to you, another one of my pairings! This a little excerpt from the fic (wip) I'm writing about this chaotic pairing, and I really do hope this gets you as excited about their story, as I am! This was supposed to be up in December but for some reason, I didn't post it?? Anyways, other than that, you shall see more, further on in 2024 :)

Y/n is reluctantly trimming Harry's hair when her nose feels funny, and she sneezes. Its good though, that Harry asks for her opinion regarding a change that he would rather appreciate.

Y/n sat on her unmade bed, hair unbrushed and messy since she woke up from a 3-hour nap. Her fingers typed away on her laptop, her face showing zero signs of any stress regarding the assignment she's going to have to turn in un-edited.

Probably because of the breakdown she'd had before taking nap. She'd been so stressed that she had drawn blood from her lips and broken two of her nails -- which was rather disappointing to her considering she'd got them done not so long ago in the honour of the upcoming season of winter.

The temperature was still as hot as summer, but half of the world was snowed in, and she wanted the peace of mind that winter brought her; so, she deluded herself into thinking that it was indeed her favourite time of the year.

A silent burp made its way up her throat, as she drank the day-old diet coke she'd been drinking before her meltdown-that-leads-to-an-amazing-nap.

Just as she slurped on the last sip that wasn't anything but melted ice, she heard the door to the flat open and her eyes rose up just in time to catch the sight of a sweaty and out of breath Harry, through the open door of her room.

"Y/n?" He called for her, walking towards her room when she only hummed in response. He passed her an apologetic smile on reaching her doorframe, and she knew he was going to ask something of her that the both of them know she wouldn't be willing to do quite easily.

"I need your help," he grinned at her. "...And Immediately."

She looked at him suspiciously, before deciding to shift her focus back on her assignment, knowing that he would lure her in if she were to continue looking at him.

But Harry was at once kneeling beside the side of bed she was sitting on. With his hands joined, he contorted his face in a way that looked like he was about to cry. "I beg of you, please! If you don't help me right now, my life will be ruined forever!"

Y/n's eyes had fallen into untrusting slits by now as she minimized the document that she had been writing in. "What is it, Harry?" She asked him in a monotonous tone, shutting her laptop as if procrastinating the essay any longer would be a great help.

"Cut my hair."

Instantly her jaw dropped open. Shaking her head, she began reopening her laptop and Harry took a hold of her wrists. "Harry, there's no way!" She yelped as he began making her get off the bed.

"I'm not asking you to give me haircut like Zayn!" He exclaimed, as if that'd ease her. "Just trim it a bit," he shrugged, walking out into the small living-room with Y/n thrashing behind him. She even threw a few hands at him, but he had a feeling that she wasn't as opposed by the idea as she was pretending to.

He pulled out a chair in front of the mirror that, though they had been living in this flat for nearly two months, had yet to be pinned to the wall. "C'mon, you work at a salon -- surely you know how to trim a guy's hair," he teased her, knowing that questioning her abilities would get to her and she'd cut his hair better than any hairdresser ever could.

Looking at her reflection glaring at him through the mirror, he winked at her before bending down to unzip his bag. He pulled out an electric trimmer from inside it and handed it to her, pulling the towel from the coffee table that he had left there earlier in the morning.

Once done draping it over his shoulders, he handed her the trimmer and added a touch of his puppy-dog eyes even though he knew they simply don't work on her.

"Okay. If you end up bald, don't complain then," she grumbled before running her hand through his hair. "Is this sweat or did you wash your hair after practice?" Her face was already contorted in disgust, like she knew he surely couldn't have done the latter.

"Don't you worry, I washed it after practice," he assured her, looking at her as if she should appreciate him.

She turned on the trimmer and held his hair in sections by one of her hands. "Why didn't you go to a salon?" She asked him, trimming the hair on his sides with her mouth parted.

Harry shrugged and immediately retorted when Y/n shrieked, mumbling an apology. "The salon's too far. I don't have the time to get there; got a handful of assignments to turn in before midnight." He told her. "And I mean, saving some money never hurt anyone."

"You do realize that I've put doing my assignment on pause to do this silly shenanigan with you?" Her eyebrows rose up as she fired another question at him. She suppressed a smile when he passed a dimpled-lopsided grin to her. "God, I hate you," she said, and a smile slipped on her lips as she moved to the other side to trim the rest of his hair.

She had no reason to be doing a parttime job at a salon, it wasn't going to help her in the future in any way, but it did help her in the present with its money. The money she got by being apprenticed to a dance company went straight into the flat-bills and some other necessary purchases that she couldn't avoid.

But she wasn't complaining about it. Living among frat people was a nightmare for her. She did have fun with people but being a clean-freak and a morning person didn't match well with the frats. They did love her dearly, but when Harry came in asking if someone would be willing to be his flat mate, everyone had chanted for Y/n. And, when he asked Y/n at the rink, she had quite literally jumped at the opportunity and in the joy of the moment, hugged Harry with a tight grip that still had his heartbeat rise whenever he thought about it.

With her touching his hair, Harry's heart was beating so hard in his chest that he was afraid it was going to break a rib. His eyes never once left her reflection in the mirror, not with the way she was being so careful and serious. Her lips had parted without her knowing, and she wasn't even blinking often enough.

That was when Harry saw a hair-strand fall in her face, and her face scrunch up in a way it does when she's about to sneeze. He saw as she turned to sneeze in her elbow -- a habit that she still hadn't gotten rid of. He shifted his gaze down on his hands in his lap, to prevent her catching him staring at her.

When Y/n caught her breath after the sneeze, her eyes grew wide. Her hand began shaking as she brought the other hand to cover her mouth, looking at his head in horror. She wasn't sure if she should laugh or begin spewing apologies and decided on the latter one.

But as she opened her mouth, Harry looked at her. "Should I just buzz it off?" He questioned her and thought that she had paled at the thought of him going bald. "I mean, the match season is finally over. I don't have anything to do but study, do my parttime and of course practice hockey." He shrugged explaining his point of view, looking at her to help him decided.

"S-sure! I mean, you'd look good with any-any type of haircut." She was shaking and stuttering, but Harry was too lost in his train of thoughts to question her. "A-and its buzzcut season, anyways!"

That seemed to be helpful for Harry. He smiled at her, "Shave it off, then. I'm basically on vacation from tomorrow... and I guess I'd really appreciate a change like this!" He was back to grinning and Y/n's sweat was beginning to cool off.

She imagined sitting with Harry on a sofa on some ordinary-night with her feet in his lap like he were her closest friend and telling him about today -- a movie playing on the lowest volume possible in the background. She stopped herself before she could get lost thinking about his reaction and mess up even his buzzcut.

Welp, I wasn't going to post today...but then I realized that the final chapter of Heart in the Well will go up before Sunday, and that'll render the excerpt I carefully picked out obsolete by then. So I scrambled to pick bits from my other stories just so I could post this one excerpt. Go me!

The good news about Heart being done? I've got a new WIP plotted out that I'm super excited about, but I wouldn't let myself write anything until one of my WIPs finished. So next week or the week after, you should see the first words from that fic, a very very angsty Watford era canon divergence.

From Saving Simon Snow: 

I shake my head now, thinking about it. I’ll just have to keep close to Simon, or at least, as close as he’ll allow me. At least my vampire anatomy gives me an advantage there; I can listen to what’s happening with Simon from three rooms away (I won’t, unless it’s a matter of his safety. It’s a gross invasion of his privacy otherwise) (fortunately, I had to learn to tune out the chatter of my peers by my 2nd year at Watford, or I would have gone mad). 

From the Heart in the Well

He looks back at me and then frowns. “Well, come on then,” he says, impatiently. 

“Come on, what?” I say, exasperated. The water’s up to my breastbone now, and I’m starting to feel a little panicky, so my voice comes out higher pitched than I’d like. 

Now, he rolls his eyes. “I need your tie,” he says as if it were obvious. It was not obvious. “Take it off, please.” At that, I shiver a little. I never thought there’d be a day where Simon Snow would be telling me to take off my clothes.

From Snow Fox: Penny, learning you can’t go home again (especially if you’ve signed on with the Snow Fox)

I step onto the road and walk briskly towards the house I grew up in. I can tell when I’ve been noticed. Several heads swivel my direction, and the murmur of conversation in the camp ceases. I keep on as if I haven’t noticed however. As I draw closer, I nod distractedly at some of the boys nearer to my path. They don't nod back. They’re watching me with narrowed eyes and I shudder internally. What do they see when they look at me?

Years from now, if I, for some odd reason, try to explain how my first time having sex felt, I won’t be able to. There’s no describing it.  I’m planning to get a degree in words, for fuck’s sake, but right now, all language has left me, sailed back to England probably. Every particle of sensation in my body has gathered between my legs, and every atom of will I have left is devoted to an attempt to meld my body with his. I’ve almost succeeded–we’re nearly one creature now, moving in frantic, panting unison.

I’m left gaping at where he just stood. It’s suddenly clear to me how much of his vampire abilities Baz has been hiding, because I was looking right at him. 

I never saw him move. 

All I know is suddenly he’s above me, and my arms are above my head and prisoned to the bed by his hands clamped around my wrists. I’m so stunned that I don’t even struggle. 

His knees are on either side of my hips, and he’s staring down at me like I’m his next meal. 

From my COBB project:

I know I should be worrying over tomorrow, and what my team will face out there. And I will be worrying over that—tomorrow. Tonight, I’m far more worried about the hours ahead. Hours of, once again, sharing a room with the only man I’ve ever loved. A man who’s never looked at me as anything other than a posh prick. 

That’s my fault, of course. It could have been different, all those years ago, when we first met at Watford Uni. I was excited, back then, to meet my roommate. Excited, and nervous. I freely admit I’ve had a privileged upbringing, and this would be the first time I’d ever shared a room. 

My childhood was mostly lonely, so I didn’t mind the idea. I’d thought it’d be nice to always have someone nearby to talk to. 

Of course, everyone knows how that turned out.

the wintertime scenery soon blurs into a mix of colours as she pulls the boy with her, in search of a place to talk.

and as the questions bubbling within each of their throats grow to the tip of their tongues, they find themselves standing in front of a cafe. in particular, (y/n) had unknowingly led them to the very same cafe she had shot him at; café de crie. she grimaces.

oh, how fate can be such a comedian.

she lets go of his arm and takes a seat at one of the outdoor tables, staring at the still human standing in front of her.

he doesn't budge.

so she gestures to the seat at the table across from her and calms her expression. her image returning to its calculating, inhuman, innately cupid-like character.

"sit here and take out your phone like you're calling someone," she spoke, keeping her tone indifferent, refusing to let her beating heart ruin her image. "that way you don't look entirely insane while we talk,"

with another grin, the boy enthusiastically takes his place at the table, flipping open his phone and pressing it to his ear before settling into the sit across from her. "alright, dove"

she grimices at the nickname. "dove?"

"well, i don't really have anything to call you by...plus--" he lazily points to her attire; white on white on white. white clothes, white shoes, white accessories, all with no marks or stains - all too perfect for a human.

she presses her tongue against her cheek and crosses her arms with a scoff, unable to retort back. the boy's expression fades into a cheeky smile, and (y/n) looks away; flustered and annoyed is not a look she likes on herself.

meanwhile, satoru's eyes catch the laminated menu on the table. not one to resist sweet treats and pretty girls, he inspects it. she hears him call for her again.

"hey, dove," he rests his phone between his ear and his shoulder, looking up at her. "you wanna order something?"

her gaze flickers between him and the menu in his hands and she declines with the graceful shake of her head.

the boy pouts. "c'mon~ i'll even pay!"

"no, i'm not hungry" (y/n), in fact, does not need to eat. perks of not being human.

the pair hold eye contact for a moment; waiting for the other break. a few beats pass by in silence and satoru groans, giving in.

"fine, but don't say i didn't offer," with that, the boy orders a cream cake topped with sliced peaces, some sort of cofee jelly, alongside a hot cup of coffee, adding so much sugar that even the non-human is concerned for him.

the moment all of his order is delivered, he begins.

"so, you wanna start by telling me why exactly i have to pretend to be on the phone for us to talk?" he asks, placing the flip phone in a more comfortable position.

she eyes him, "would you like to tell me your name before you interogate me?"

and despite his question getting shut down, he smiles at her.

"satoru. gojo satoru,"

she nods, acknowledging him, "gojo-san,"

satoru leans forward, smile wider, excited. if (y/n) wasn't so on edge, she would have mistaken him for a puppy, one with curious blue eyes and a big, white, wagging tail.

"and you?" he takes a bite from his cake, "your name?"

furrowing her eyebrows, she hesitates. is she even allowed to disclose this stuff to humans? satoru notices her uncertainty and concludes that the best way to get answers is to tease them out of her. "unless you want me to keep calling you dove?"

she scowls, "next question, please,"

winter rain beats hard against the cafe's covers as clock hands tick and the sun moves to hide underneath the land. satoru's phone is held close to his face as questions and answers are tossed between a sorcerer and cupid.

they start with the necessaey questions - insatiable with the need to understand each other.

it's here where satoru learns that only he can notice her presence as she recounts the other people only interact with her if she directly initiates contact first. he also learns that she doesn't actually want to interact with others either, so she's not bothered by it. to her future dismay, (y/n) adds how satoru noticing her despite never knowing of his existance first made her nervous, resulting in multiple teasing comments from said boy to a pink-cheeked girl.

next, (y/n) is informed of cursed energy and the fact that satoru initially thought she was a big, powerful cursed spirit or something. she asks him how he could he come up with that conclusion, and satoru ends up boasting about being the "strongest sorcerer". (y/n) barely has a clue what he means by that.

and as the two converse, topics and questions become mundane and sillier.

"why do i always see you near the train station?" he asks.

(y/n) shrugs, "there's a lot of people,"

she does not elaborate.

later, while plates are cleaned and only satoru's drink remains, the conversation steers into anecdotes, and thoughts and mindless chatter. satoru talks more. mostly because he thinks she is simply shy, when in reality, (y/n) doesn't really have many stories or experiences to talk about. so she asks questions.

"why do people like coffee so much?" she blurts out, watching satoru take a hearty gulp from his mug. he shoots her a confused look.

"are you asking like, you don't like coffee? or like you've never tried it?" he asks, a small coffee mustache adorned on his top lip.

her eyes watch his tongue lick it off. "never tried it,"

"never?" he gapes, she shakes her head. in her years as a cupid, she noticed that many humans love 'coffee dates'. this event isn't even reserved for romance - humans invite their family, friends, or even strangers to go on these dates. it intrigued her. why this little brown drink? "why not?"

"never had the chance to, i guess," she replies, glancing at the half-empty mug.

he nods and the topic passes, effortlessly transitioning to another.

cocurrently, (y/n) can't help but feel relieved when realising how late the cafe stays open. contrary to her cold character, she finds herself enjoying his company and wanting to indulge in the warmth of it.

as she lets him ramble - something about trying to get a boy named "nanami" to try putting sugar in his coffee for once - the hand holding his phone begins to fall, no longer pressed to his cheek. no. (y/n) can't have that. he'll get scrutinised by others...he looks crazy, speaking so animatedly to no one. without a second thought, (y/n) reaches over the empty plates and pushes his hand back to his ear. satoru freezes and locks his gaze on her.

"keep talking," she replies softly, leaning back into her chair, "you look fine now,"

but he can't. gojo satoru has lost his train of thought. he clears his throat, thinking of another topic.

"you know," he looks away, trying to find a way to bring this up without her avoiding it, "you never told me why i have to talk to you like this, its weird that no one else seems to know that you're here except me,"

her expression falters. she seems to know where this question leads. he'll ask her if she's like him. if she's human. but she's not. and she's read stories and seen the reactions of humans when they encounter something unlike them. they turn on them. lock them up and pull them apart to satiate their own brains. or worse, hunt them down and destroy them until they're black and blue. she doesn't want him thinking of her like that. that she's not normal...not for him?

yet, a tiny part of her brain screams to her; maybe he's different?

she inhales deeply, hoping to anyone up there to miraculously work up some kind of answer. truth or not.

her mouth opens--- "RING RING!! RING RING!!"

the pair jump, the cupid clutching her heart as the sorcerer catches his now-ringing phone.

'SUGURU~!! is calling'

as he fumbles with the device, satoru frantically accepts the call.

"hello--"

"SATORU GET YOUR DUMB ASS OVER HERE NOW!!" suguru's distorted voice rings through loudly, forcing satoru to hold the phone away from his face, "DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS? ITS ALMOST CURFEW!"

satoru paled, no longer worried about enticing a response from his dove. he shoots up from his seat, suddenly grateful that he paid already. "SHIT! REALLY?"

he hangs up, shoving the phone into his pockets and turns to the girl, already standing from her seat. stopping him from blurting out any words, (y/n) holds a hand up to him.

"it's fine," she says gently, "i should go too,"

he doesnt get a single word in, as she moves to leave, unfazed as buckets of heavy rain wash over her skin and stain her clothes. satoru frowns.

tomorrow arrives too soon, and (y/n) later finds herself overlooking kyoto station. she sighs, basking in the rare sunlight on her skin - early morning sunshine is hard to come by in this weather, so she decided to indulge in it whenever possible.

her peaceful morning was suddenly interrupted by loud voices, catching her attention. usually groups this noisy are students, on a field trip or catching the train to school. troubled by her thoughts and now tortured by the volume of these students, (y/n) casts an unamused glace at the group. wait---!

her eyes widen in suprise as her heart pounds with excitement.

fighting the urge to rush over and pretend to bump into him, her grip on her bow loosens. he's so close...! panic and adrenaline sets in as she focuses on him, watching as he interacts with his black-haired friend. what would she even say to him if he sees her? would he actually want to talk to her? she hopes he does, why wouldn't he? he certainly liked talking to her yesterday. so, she should go up and talk to him, right? right!

finally releasing satoru from her intense stare, (y/n) takes one last scan of the area for any bonds she needs to initiate. and for the first time as a cupid, (y/n) was rellieved that today was a slow day, not many people around that need her assistance.

she turned her gaze back to the sleek black uniforms of long sleeves jackets and black...SKIRTS? (y/n) watches intensely, throwing a hard glare and the short haired girl who is matching uniforms with her familiar sorcerer. she squeezes her bow tighter, as her mind races. what would she do if a pretty, red bond sparkles between them? from the perspective of a cupid, she should shoot it: do her job and move on. by from the perspective of her heart? she pauses. she doesn't...want to. she had never wanted to interfere with her job before, so why now?

unable to tear her eyes from the pair before her - who are essentially just bickering - her heart sinnks and she loses her mind. when had this sorcerer dodged her arrows only to throw one straight at her?

suddenly, her world stops as his bright irises met hers. that familiar, boyish grin splits across his face and he raises his arm above his head, waving enthusiastically.

her mind is quiet again, and she weakly waves back, caught offguard.

that boy from before elbows him in the stomach, and satoru looks away from her.

"who the hell are you waving to?" his friend grumbles.

but before satoru can respond, a tall, intimadating man with sunglasses - satory's teacher, she presumes - forces them into the station, urging them to hurry.

it's in the haze of cold winter air that (y/n) feels her warmest, hand absentmindedly raised in a still wave. what has he done to her?

(y/n) is exhausted. despite the slow morning, this day was bustling with love. bumbling bonds popped up almost every second, all across the city - every place she went costed her another arrow and come nightfall, when the streets grew quiet, she found herself in familiar territory. overlooking tokay station again.

she stares at the moon-soaked station and can't help but wonder if satoru made it home or if he's staying the night elsewhere. if he came back home, did he look for her? did her wonder about her too?

her frown widens and her exhaustion melts into self-loathing. she's better than this - letting a man ruin her mind. how foolish. glaring at the midnight shadows, she notices an open umbrella sitting on the ground below. she moves closer to it, inspecting it. she thinks maybe someone had lost it, considering it looks quite expensive, the dark cloth patterned with little 'LV' symbols.

steam rises from behind the umbrella's cloth, alerting (y/n). danger?

she paws at the umbrella, her skittish movements cause it to roll away, revealling the little takeaway cup that was hidden within it. (y/n) halts, surprised. a...drink...? she recognises the brand on it - café de crie. not only that, she catches how the cup's lid had been drawn on.

the phrase,"stay dry!" is roughly scribbled onto it with black marker.

the weariness of today drips off her body, replaced by that familiar warmth that settles deep within her bones. an absentminded smile graces her tired features as her finger traces the little doodle beneath the text - a smiley face with sunglasses on.

and for the first time in her life, she tastes coffee.

✧ what pieces of fiction inspired you to start writing?

A lot of fantasy and adventure novels! I used to read those genres obsessively when I was little. The first story I ever wrote was an adventure plot for a school assignment. It was 17 pages and even illustrated by yours truly lol. The page limit was 1-2, but eight-year-old Meraki couldn't tell a story in such short page length! I remember I used a piano bench as my table and I didn't stop writing and drawing until I was finished. I would snack on cucumber slices during the process. Even though it's such a random memory, I cherish it dearly because it was the first time I realized I was genuinely passionate about storytelling.

Anime/manga was also another big inspiration! In my early teenage years, I loved shows like Assassination Classroom, Black Butler, Watamote, Owari no Seraph, Pandora Hearts, Danganronpa, HETALIA. Omg,,,, what an era that was.........

Reading yan oc stories also inspired me to write yandere fics!! Before writing yan fandom, I wrote a lot of yandere ocs. They are my most beloveds. I adore my ocs. ( ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ഒ

I do! I love the Red Eye series. It's a collection of various horror novels. I read them a lot in my early teenage years. They're all wonderfully written. So much atmosphere in each one! I really enjoy YA literature, especially YA horror. There are plenty of other novels (lots of horror classics), but I can't seem to recall all of them at the moment. ;;;; orz too many to keep up with...

YES. OTL it's been my dream ever since I was little. I've always wanted to publish a novel.

☙ LOVE CYCLE [사랑주기] is the debut mini album by the south korean fictional five-member girl group, B'ANGELZ. released on february 12, 2022 much in line for the upcoming romantic holiday, the album consists of 3 tracks called cool with you, love dive, and the title track, midas touch and was promoted by the group for a total of 4 weeks. the album is supposed to feel like a fury of love called a "love cycle" which the creative director and leader of b'angelz, adora stated.

the album embodies many different aspects of love each of which shows elements of the stories in ancient greece storytelling such as goddesses, greed, and curiosity with love which is shown in each music video. each music video tells a story and highlights either two or one member with that story it's telling and has a somewhat, ethereal effect

MIDAS TOUCH prod and written by 아도라, 서리. a storytelling which shows the greed of midas, a god whose main love was gold turned for the worst as he overlooked the priorities and things he loved. this is showcased as greed for materialism, toxic love, and charm. by expecting materialistic stuff, overlooking what a relationship should really be about which is: love, this causes a falter in the narrator's relationship but since all this person can see is the charm by their "midas touch" the s/o doesn't really notice the lack of love in the relationship...

LOVE DIVE prod & written by 아도라. storytelling of the courage of diving into love headfirst without any thought about it, love dive is a song which showcases a romance that's only built of curiosity and a rush of new emotions, love at first sight, much like the relationship between eros and psyche, a crush almost it seems but a little more. a love dive.

COOL WITH YOU prod & written by 아도라. a storytelling that shows a god, cupid the one who's in charge of making everyone fall in love, disagreeing with love in general though, meets someone who isn't like everyone, someone who's not made for others but made for cupid. it shows many similarities to the love story of eros and psyche, how eros loves her in the night but ultimately because eros is a god and has duties, he always leaves her in the day but, love foreshadows all as he decides that he'd give up being a god if it meant being with the only living being meant for him

♡ adora admits to an mc the original idea for this concept was brought up when adora and seori were watching greek myths on youtube and came across 'psyche and eros' story and fell in love with the idea .

♡ "this would make a really cool concept..." seori would tell adora, letting off light bulbs in her head.

♡ the entire idea was to make something that'd be different from the industry's norms, a love song that talked more realism than normal idol love songs.

♡ adora was nervous but determined with this new approach so she gave it her all as she and seori created the title track "midas touch"

♡ on their first day to promote their album, all of the girls were quite nervous as they were all, except mina quite rookies to the whole idol image.

♡ their title track received both good and bad commentary, bad being that the song was very "vixen-like" to the people who didn't understand the meaning

♡ but even to those lots of the good praise was for the song's overall vibes as it reminded those who weren't big fans of kpop of those 2000s artists, allowing the group to get an international following

♡ despite not having a big korean fanbase, the international fans helped them secure their first win

♡ their encore stage, showing their raw vocals and pure talent also whilst interacting with the fans they had support from, allowed them to gain a bigger fanbase and more views to their debut

I presume that they may refer to the use of the names of Angels as a form of spirit summoning or divination but I suspect that to be something Western-inspired and too far for any Japanese person to utilize. Since you already seem well-informed on Kokkuri-san I'll just skip to Angel-san. Note that I'm not talking from personal experience, just reading from multiple sources on google. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Angel-san (エンジェルさん) is just a variation of Kokkuri-san, as was made clear in the chapter itself. It seems to be one of the more popular variations.

From what the wikipedia page is telling me, instead of drawing a torii gate on the piece of paper, you draw a cupid to summon Angel-san. But the result is generally the same.

As far as I can tell the ritual is 100% Japanese too! And Angel-san is an extremely literal translation of the name, so it's not invoking a specific angel...less you count cupid, I suppose.

If I had to speculate on why they use that name, I think Angel-san just sounds cool and catchy. Angels are also renowned for having mystical powers so it makes sense that they'd be able to answer your questions like Kokkuri-san, a kitsune, does.

Hopefully that's not an underwhelming answer, I just don't think there's much more to it!

And to cap off here is a screencap from the Japanese version. As opposed to the above screencap, I'd say this is a more literal translation: "it goes by a different name but it's the same as stuff like kokkuri-san or angel-san".

From my perspective, Kou is only listing these names to give Mitsuba (and the reader) a point of reference. Doesn't work as well for a western audience unfortunately, but luckily we have chapter 4 of after-school hanako-kun for that...

As a disclaimer so people don’t come for me in the comments: this is in no particular order. I’m not ranking these eras, just factually stating that they are the best. Also, if you don’t agree with me, I don’t care. Keep it to yourself, I don’t want to see a million comments like “Duckie! Where’s blah blah? Where’s… Chu?” It’s up your [redacted]. Don’t try and tell me I’m wrong either because respectfully… I’m not. Anyway.

Starting off strong, we have LOVE DIVE!

LOVE DIVE! Is That Girl for a reason. Not only was she literally SOTY (4 times btw), but she had the vibes to back it up. I was a big fan of the ethereal cupid aesthetics they had going on and the styling just always looked so expensive. I’m a Chaehee stan, but Blue’s Hime Cut look was literally unmatched. Even the b-sides went crazy this era, with the iconic Sour Grapes taking over everyone’s For You pages. This song was actually inescapable for months, so of course this era had some iconic moments too. My personal favorite moment was Summer’s solo live ban being instated after she called Angelico’s Jinhwa a “fucking weirdo” in front of 45 million Dream. Free her tbh, she did nothing wrong!

Next up… Neverland’s Sugar Rush!

This song was so addicting honestly, the concept, the vocals, the dance, the silly little whistle chorus, it all ate down. We all know where we were when those shirtless concept pics dropped. The whole Peter Pan vibe obviously went with their concept as a whole, but how do I get to that woodland raver’s paradise? Where do I buy tickets? One thing about Neverland is they’re throwing a party and I need an invite. Speaking of parties, the iconic MakoDae club pics dropped this era. All I’m saying is that you can’t prove the girl throwing ass on Mako isn’t me.

Next, we have my favorite Eunji era, Forgive Me.

Honestly, I don’t really stan Eunji like that. I won’t deny that she is the superior Golden Goose producer, of course. But I don’t know all that much about her. What I do know is that whoever this song is about is going straight to hell. She ate them up, your honor! The rock instrumentals had me so shaken when I first listened to this song that I couldn’t stop listening to this song. Ginger Eunji in her rockstar era was peak cunt, The Revenge Era was so serious for her. Not to mention, this song had the most iconic performance of all time. If you haven’t seen it yet, immediately look up Eunji Halloween Bash Forgive Me Carrie. It will change your life. Miss girl is a performer.

Next up is one of Lucky’s most iconic eras, which is difficult to say because they’re all so iconic, I know… but I mean Ping-Pong! 

This era could get the title solely from the styling. So many people love to hate it, but they just do not see the camp of it all! The bright pink and blue hair duo lives in my head constantly. I fear Kpop may never see styling so creative and unique again… Someone please rescue Hidae from 4Luvs because they are literally the most hated duo even though they make the cuntiest comebacks! I need them back together asap. Not to mention, these two have the best chemistry. And who could forget the iconic Twister video dropped this era. This video was so divisive among fans but I personally think they looked like they were having a lot of fun answering all the questions while playing Twister. We all know how those two treat competitions and they were undeniably getting flirty up in there, liiiike…

The Song of the Summer is up next… La Vie’s Fruit Salad!

This song is It. One of Rainbow’s most iconic songs by far. I don’t think there’s a single kpop stan out there that doesn’t know this song or even this dance. Honestly, they were the queens of summer before, but this song just solidified their title and made them simply unbeatable. No one else can ever wear the crown when this song exists. The concept and styling is also so perfect, one of my favorites out of La Vie, with the bright colors and quintessential summer vibes. Red-haired Tomi still rules my heart, honestly, and Sohee’s baby bangs were so quirky and cute. One of my favorite variety shows from RBE also comes from this era, I find myself rewatching Lovie’s Fruit Stand all the time. I think it’s so nice to see them getting time to rest and doing fun summer activities together, and its just so nostalgic to me.

Next we have Roly Poly by XOX!

Listen… I know they were flops. But they served with this one, I can't lie! They had no budget, no fans, and no future. All they had was a dance floor and a dream, and yet they still had fun with it. This was the age of camp and techno and XOX ran with it. And in doing so, they created every single RBE idol’s go-to karaoke song. It almost seems like an inside joke at the company because there is at least 2 videos of every single group covering or dancing to this song. And now she’s made her way on to TikTok and the legacy lives on. Everyone say RIP XOX, you will always be famous. Kind of.

Up next is Thee Lucid! Era… TOMBOY!

This is their most iconic era by far and if you think I’m wrong then argue with the wall or something. The song, the styling, the lyrics, the message, the music video, the performances, the moments… need I go on? I fear they ate the whole industry up with this comeback and the industry knew it too! I guarantee you that every single one of yall’s favs was caught doing this dance. Just the sheer amount of people, specifically men, that this song pissed off already puts her high up on my cuntiest songs roster and that was before they went on national television and said fuck! Speaking of fuck, Lucid! did not give a single one this era. My personal favorite Blue moment happened this era when sasaengs leaked pictures of her and Youngho leaving practice for together before their collab stage dropped and sparked dating rumors, and the Next Day she posted “ew wtf? him of all men?” on her public Instagram story on accident… which then started a nuclear fan war on Twitter. Dare I say; iconic. The Tomboy vibes had possessed the whole group I fear, because even Chaehee got man-hating rumors after she ignored Haruki’s hand to help her down the steps at a music show. Not to mention, Minji’s rap verse got so much shit and yet every single time she took her cutesy ass to center stage and ate down. Anyway. Next up is La Vie’s Fancy You!

This era was directly after Fruit Salad which means they had a tough act to follow… yet they absolutely came through. They were giving galactic space princesses, rulers of the cosmos, sparkling amongst the stars. Basically… they served. Tomi and Mari’s pink and purple hair duo is still one of my favs and don’t even get me started on the styling. Gogo boots and sequins and hot shorts, god. It was so cunty. And this era isn’t one of their best just because of the concept (even though that is one of their best too) but the vibes. The song and instrumental produced by the iconic ROZE Mari duo that gags to this day. It seems like every 6 months the song is back on TikTok for its cunty instrumentals or choreography. The Anya Kai dating rumors first started this era and you really just had to be there. The entire kpop world imploded on itself. Speaking of Anya Kai dating rumors, my favorite Sol video of all time is from this era in her cute blue highlights making a face in the back of an interview when Kai is brought up… EXO-Ls came for her for weeks until she finally took to Twitter to tell them she doesn’t give a shit about boy groups and their stans with internalized misogyny complexes! If that’s not mother I don’t know who is.

Next, we have DAZED, a Neverland classic.

Remember when I said that one thing Neverland is gonna do is throw a party? Well this is That Party. Out of all 130 million views of this mv, I’m probably 26 million of them. It’s so addicting with the concept and the cinematography… like what are you doing if you show up to this hot guy’s rager birthday party and find out that him and his friends are faeries after you drink their wine and dance for eternity? The ACoTaR girlies (me) went wild for this one, let me tell you. I loved the way they took their whole Neverland Lost Boys concept and twisted it to give us faeries which totally works but it’s also something new? They gave the girls what they want! Howie absolutely owned this era, especially after an edit of him as Rhysand went viral and he had to google the series on live when people asked him about it. I still think about that clip of him saying “What do you mean fairy porn?” every single day.

Finally, last but certainly not least, is the best Rainbow era of all time. NEW WAVE.

I know I said I wasn’t ranking them and all that and that is still true, but… this era is inarguably the best out of all of them so I had to put it last. And of course I'm not biased just because I ult Lucky. I’m convinced that Jung Jisoo tried acid for the first time and then came up with this concept based off of that. And I support it. She was Euphoria before her time, a true masterpiece of neon glitter and debauchery. If I could pick one place anywhere on the space time continuum to live out the rest of my days, it would be the set of this mv. They were literally taking shots in the making video. This song was nearly banned from broadcasts and I’m still surprised that Lucky hasn’t had one of their songs banned yet. Queens Eunbi and Jisoo just know the exact line between cunt and can’t, I guess. This era gave the vibes of the early 2000s club craze tabloid era in the best way both in the concept and for the members. The rumor mill was working over time going after them! Angel was accused of sleeping with fans and cheating on Jennie even though the dating rumors didn’t exist until after the cheating rumors? Sunnie’s gay rumors started this era, although she has since been pretty clear that they weren’t just rumors, LOL. Even baby Han got into one of his first scandals after he got caught with a pack of cigs in his back pocket. The most groundbreaking scandal this era though, one of the only times Lucky has had to issue an apology over the years despite being notorious for saying fuck it, Hiro’s infamous AKB video. Iconic or not, it had impact! But it wasn’t just bad things that came out of this era, of course. It was their most successful ot4 comeback, winning 8 music show wins and PAK as a full group. Plus, they still make room for it on every set list, so they clearly feel the same way about it as 4luvs do. You cannot deny that this era is the most iconic eras of both Lucky and RBE as a whole.
