Every day I find something new to fall in love with my husband all over with and this one was just so funny.

So I've been playing A LOT of Warzone because I decided last minute (3 days left of the season last minute) I really wanted that Homecoming Price skin but I refuse to spend a single cent more on this game than I absolutely have to, so grind mode it was lol.

Anyways my husband wanted the two of us to just have a video game name night where we just chill and play our respective games next to each other even if we aren't playing together while i grind the battlepass out. Hell yeah, adult parallel play :D So we are playing and I'm in the middle of a match and just doing CoD things and I hear my husband start practically giggling beside me and I turn and he's playing a new cute farming and dating sim 😭😭😂😂 and idk it was just so funny in that moment that two grown ass men sitting next to each other and one you can hear gunshots and people dying and war and to the left you could see a man picking his virtual chicken up and running around with it having the time of his life and dissonance was hilarious

I don't have a good ending to this, I just fell in love with him a little bit more seeing that 🥺 He's such a soft and kind person and it reflects all the way down the types of games he plays and it was just so wholesome and sweet to see after I'd just been yelling fuck fuck fuck! and shit! at my computer screen foe the last several minutes lol. (I also died immediately after if anyone was curious lmaoo)

I've just got an influx of followers recently and I don't shy away about my disabilities so I guess this is a good post to reblog onto my page!

I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user! I'd already had bad knees from years of playing sports but I got into a really nasty car accident about 4 years ago. A truck hit me at a pedestrian crossing and has done irreparable damage to my knees and lower back.

I have virtually no cartilage left in my knees now and you can physically hear the grinding of them when I walk. Weather fluctuations can mean the difference of me getting out of bed or not sometimes. My lower back locks out of nowhere and sometimes my knees or ankles just give out for no reason 🤷🏼‍♂️

This is why I use a wheelchair. I walk most of the time. Most days are okay to good days for me. But not all and my wheelchair is a very important part of who I am. Most wheelchair users are ambulatory in some form or another. Most of us are not like what you see in the movies or on TV. So when you see someone in a wheelchair walk, don't worry they aren't faking it! Most of us can to some extent :D

today for disability pride month, i’d like to discuss something not many able-bodied people know about: ambulatory wheelchair users!

first, “what is an ambulatory wheelchair user?”

it’s a term used to describe people who use wheelchairs that can stand and or walk in some capacity. the amount a person can walk can vary greatly between ambulatory wheelchair users, some may need their wheelchair 60% of the time, some may need theirs 90% of the time.

“why would someone use a wheelchair if they can walk?”

there are tons of reasons someone who can walk might use a wheelchair, such as fatigue, balance, heart problems, pain, fainting, and many, many more. it could be dangerous for them to walk.

“isn’t that being lazy?”

nope! take shoes, for example. you *could* walk without them, but it would be painful, and could give you cuts or blisters. would you consider wearing shoes to be lazy? also, many disabilities and conditions are progressive, using a wheelchair can help slow progression and damage to your body.

so next time you see a wheelchair user move their leg, remember that ambulatory wheelchair users exist!

and while i’m on a self indulgent thing? i think that any of the kids calling Bruce “dad” changes his whole demeanor. it helps him know that whatever they’re talking about is serious.

hearing his name shouted across the house does nothing for him. a hundred people say his name all day, including his kids. whatever the situation is can be fixed.

but hearing “Dad!”, cried out in battle or screamed from the other room, has him rushing to their side. what is it love and i’m here you’re alright and shh i’ve got you

“Bruce, I need help” = can’t open this large jar, have a question about math homework, need someone to look at this case file for me

“Dad, I need help” = I am hurt. I am scared. I am in danger. I need you to make things better. I need you to protect me.

I've been wanting to make a post like this for awhile. In my fandom space I came across an introductory post that had this (name and rest of post cropped out for OBVIOUS reasons):

This is DANGEROUS. This is why people say kids shouldnt feel safe in online spaces because they say and do stupid shit like this (and yes this is stupid af). Anyone who wants kids to "feel safe on the internet" (a notoriously unsafe place for even adults) is either a) a predator or b) fucking delusional. Kids should not be screaming they're minors from the rooftops. They shouldn't be using their real names or ages. They shouldnt be posting their schools or friends or hometowns or outsides of their houses. No site online is safe for minors. And they should be aware of that. Not fed pretty lies and make them easier to fall prey to.

What has happened to basic internet safety? Bad people exist. A LOT of bad people exist. And anyone trying to sanitize the internet to make the sites "kid friendly" are only helping those people get to children and minors easier. You are giving these people exactly what they want.

You all scream about dark fiction being bad day in and day out and how it'll "hurt the children" not once stopping to think you've just made it significantly easier for predators to get to kids by convincing them they're safe in these spaces and that they're adults who can be trusted because they "don't like the icky gross fiction". Not to mention the OBSCENE amount of data that companies are stealing off these kids who put their whole lives on the internet. They will steal from you anyways, but for fucks sake don't make it easier for them.

Actually I know my blog is like an accidental John Price stan account lol. But is this a safe place to say until I physically played the games for myself, anyrime i saw him I was indifferent to him at best and borderline despised him at worst? lmaoooo

...and then I actually played the game and I was SO bad at fps games and had never played Call of Duty and I was fumbling so bad with that first mission in mw2 and was constantly getting yelled at lmaooo. And then the Price missions happened and he was just so calm that I actively stopped freaking out when trying to learn the controls and I was like ..oh 0.0 And he just seemed to have a good steady head on his shoulders and I caught myself thinking he was fine af to look at and that the stupid hat and facial hair had grown on me. And I was like O H O.O now here I am making horny posts in the middle of the night and writing x reader fics for the first time ever
