Life throws us all curve balls, hitting us either unexpectedly or expectedly, usually the first. The past 5 months myself and my family have been hit with so many curve balls I was beginning to lose hope (and still kind of am) that this year would be better than last year was. I still enjoy reading and writing and I'm so glad I could find that love again since I enjoyed it as a kid. With family emergencies that seem to have no happy ending, to my own physical and mental health declining, I've been experiencing way more stressful days than good days. The stress makes my physical health worse, which ends up messing with my mental health in a major way. I am like so many Americans who are on Antidepressants and Anxiety medications.
When it comes to my creativity though, I've discovered that my brain doesn't have an off switch. I'm in the middle of writing two books, which I've published chapters of on both Wattpad and Kindle Vella. I keep getting new ideas for new stories and I always have this new motivation to start on these new ideas, which puts my current projects on the backburner. Writer's block has been a massive problem for me and I know that's only because I am my own worst critic but I end up feeling like a failure when it takes me weeks or months to put out new chapters.
As an indie author with a passion for reading and writing still being newly ignited, my first real blog post should be about my struggles. I know that so many people can relate to it.
I'm trying to use this to get me writing more. At least 10 minutes a day, because at this point my mental health is preventing me from putting my all into my work.
If you've read this far and haven't followed this blog, please do so. I'll be reblogging many things related to the novels I'm writing. Still, I will also be posting text posts like this one, on various topics, mainly about my books, writing style, reading lists, recommendations, etc.
thank you, ❀ c.a

Cupid kept jabbering. "I think you might be one of the busiest students on campus. I've watched you hurrying between practice and meetings. But you never seem super happy. Is there something missing in your life?"

kind of gay to be that worried about a girl you've never met, cupid...

back whith more Monster high posting!
so, Mattel keeps making on collector dolls of the G1 characters and even made a collector line called Howliday that includes San valentines day themed dolls, and i find it very insulting that neither C.A Cupid or Kieran have gotten ANY howliday releases when they are the literall embodiment of that holiday, so i decided to make some justice to at least Cupid and made her a Howliday design!
if time (and money) are on my side i may even make a custom of this design! after all i have an extra Cupid that i can work on ^^
let me know what you guys think of this design! and if i should try and make a Howliday version of Kieran as well

Falling Down (The Boy in the Iron Box Book 1) Review:
This book was not what I'd normally find myself reading but being a fan of Guillermo del Toro, I knew I had to check it out. I am unfamiliar with Chuck Hogan's work, but I'll check out more of his books after reading this. Now this is just the first of 6 books, and I wasn't sure what to expect with it being a short story. It captivated me from the first page, and its unique plot kept me hooked. This was an excellent start to the series, and it concluded with a well-executed cliffhanger. I'm eager to read the rest of the books and see where the story takes us.

Cupid, giving advice to people in Ever After: Awww, it's okay if you chickened out of your confession. It's your choice when to do it, and if you think that the timing wasn't right, then follow your heart. Love is like-
Cupid, giving advice to people in Monster High: Kieran, you gràson. What do you mean you were afraid of Spelldon rejecting your confession? He's been dropping hints that he likes you all year long and Hades-forbid if I see another text from him about being obsessed with your accent in the Greek Freaks groupchat we have, I'm locking you both in a coffin til the next millennia-
