Okay, yes this is an indication that Melody needs help, but not in the way you might expect! I'm going to use this as a jumping-off point to talk about Sparrow now, sorry lol.

Sparrow is like, the mathematical inverse of a fair-weather friend: He's the damn bartender. Everyone he hangs out with tends to be at a crushingly low point in their life, which is why they're willing to tolerate Sparrow's company. And in turn, he mostly just lets these people rant about their problems, makes them feel better about themselves by being kind of a scumbag, and provides. . .if not good advice, he at least tends to give them a sanity check.

The second you're not at absolute rock-bottom though? All bets are off. That dude is leaving you and your emotional train-wreck to the people who are actually your friends. He'll stab you in the back the second he thinks it won't irreversibly damage your psyche. He's not looking to be your therapist, he's just the guy who tells you to go to therapy. Sparrow would be a great drinking buddy and a horrible gambling partner.

So the fact that Melody's willingly hanging out with Sparrow indicates to me that she's in emotional crisis and needs to vent to the bartender friend until she feels better and/or he says something that reminds her he's a slimeball.

bunny's diary has a part in it where the students essentially throw a sadie hawkins dance. the girls asking out the guys. it's cute and sweet and there's a part where bunny panics because someone asked out alistair before she does and cupid arrives to help her dry her tears and get her confidence back to ask alistair out and he says yes. but i can't help but stare at one line where it says that melody asked SPARROW out of all people to be her date?! like what the hell. i know there's like six guys at ever after and there's not a lot of choices but surely there's the option of doing literally anything else. girl blink twice if you need help

Just learned that when school lets out Kitty & Lizzie stay at the school with the White Queen but are pretty much left to roam free after breakfast check in.

I love it that Duchess has a total number of three people she kind of likes:

A young refugee who is known for apparently wanting to decapitate people

A girl who happily joined forces with an imperialist dictator known for committing crimes against humanity

The most harmless but extremely obnoxious boy in her school.

modern ever after high au and apple has a youtube channel where she documents all her studies, community and charity work, and school life. it's wildy popular and she sends her videos to her groupchat with her parents and her mom's only response is she's looking a bit chubby in the videos. raven has a soundcloud where she posts her music but she's afraid of promoting herself because if you google her family name it leads to a wikipedia article about a court case titled evil queen vs the land of ever after. her soundcloud has two followers one is maddie who leaves hearts and the other is sparrow who leaves hate comments.

I would argue that it actually does make sense that Sparrow is in General Villainy. Robin Hood, while yes, is a good guy, is also a thief. Therefore it makes sense that Sparrow would take a class on villain basics. Note, that he shouldn't move on to Advanced Villainy just General.

However this logic would imply that Blondie should also be in General Villainy. Seeing how she commits several crimes in her story. In this essay I will-
