Mr Cottonhorn for @oklotea such a joyous little fella!! Based my design off the European Hare and just kinda winged it he’s just a lil lil guy. Made my own colors for the charming crest cause I think the one on the book is ugl- I mean what who said that.

And then shuffle for @roybelmirrorcast this was a bit harder cause I didn’t know how I was gonna dig the heart motifs in but I think I did pretty well. it’s hard to tell but she’s supposed to have a heart pattern on her chest fur too. just a silly lil creature who is going to eat any and all treats available

eah texting hcs

the charming siblings have a groupchat ofc and dexter is the admin

their gc photo is a blurry picture of their dad midsneeze and they got it from a stock photo website. their dad has tried to sue the photographer's company but lost the suit and it's the trios' favorite photo.

the gc is mostly them sending memes to each other, accusing each other of taking their stuff, or passing messages from their parents to the intended sibling (the charming castle being so massive and all)

their gc names were just their names at first til one day dex got so pissed at daring that he changes his brother's nickname to 'demanding' charming

darling laughed so hard she saw stars and made her twin promise to never change it back

darling's nickname is 'dueling' charming

dexter's nickname is 'dismaying' charming

(he picked it out himself, and daring and darling shared a concerned looked at the other when he did.)

the wonderlandians also have a groupchat. lizzie, maddie and kitty and eventually alistair and bunny

to match all their names, alistair happily changed his nickname to 'allie' and lizzie gave the loudest snort at it

their entire chat is in riddlish and other wonderlandian dialects and theyre happy they get to practice their native tongues even if they're away from home

maddie's messages are sometimes so nonsensical (so wonderlandian) that the kookiness can sometimes short out their mirrorphones

cue to kitty dropping by lizzie and bunny's rooms warning them to not open the groupchat for a while so they don't short out their phones

kitty never warns alistair though, because she thinks it's funny.

alistair just opens that chat with no suspicion and gets flash-banged by maddie's texts and has to spend the rest of the day with no phone, a little hearing loss and dark spots in his vision.

the pink squad also have a groupchat. cupid, briar and hopper, my beloveds.

briar is the admin and the groupchat moves at the speed of light

cupid and briar text rapidfire and send gossip, memes, selfies, screenshots and etc and react as fast to each others' messages as well

hopper wakes up to a massive backread that he has to spend half an hour in the morning catching up or he won't understand what they'll be talking about in lunch

they use that chat to plan events they want to go to and to send photos that they took during the event itself

their gc pic is a group photo of all of them posing pretty cool in front of a mirror during true hearts day (their first party)

they manage to get humphrey to encode some special features into their chat so that:

(a) briar's phone can send a message if she falls asleep alone somewhere to broadcast her location so any one of them can go to her

(b) hopper's phone can also send his location if he becomes a frog and there's no one to turn him back

(c) cupid's phone also sends her location. not because she physically needs help, but because she gets lonely (being further away from home than all of them).

briar and hopper always take this seriously and arrive with hot chocolate, cupcakes and hugs.

anyways this series has been dead for years now but thinking about these kids always gives me the feels and i had to talk about them

Cedar will never get to listen to people’s secrets, no one trusts her enough for that.

She’s no one’s first choice because she’ll spout it out to everyone as soon as they ask. Cedar is the definition of a tattletale and it’s not even her fault

Yet people are more likely to just not get to know her because she has to tell the truth, she’ll be blunt, brutally honest. The opposite of everything a teenager is

Cedar can’t be trusted with gossip, so she’s in the dark most of the time

Cedar is an outcast in a place where you shouldn’t be one unless it’s your destiny

She’s a girl who can’t lie, she’s someone who has to continuously find loopholes for her curse so people might trust her enough

I love her, she deserves a lot

Okey so my personal headcanon: this but with Red and Ramona.

Red didnt have a very good mother which is why she's trying to be better mom for her daughters and to be there for them.

The cycle of generational trauma pased from mother to daughter ends with her. Shes determend with it.

And i hate when she's pictured in fics as distant from Ramona or favors Cerise. No. She loves them both equally.

Ramona is her firstborn and Cerise is her baby. No matter how old they are they will always be her little girls.

My preferred outcome for Duchess destiny doesn’t involve suicide but something worse in my opinion.

I like to believe that the swan princesses that came before her literally turned into swans. That they slowly started losing their memories nand identities. I imagine it like a mental illness.

At first they are conscious of the change and of their misery but as time passes they become more animalistic. They forget words and later they forget they could speak a language at all. Suddenly they are more temperamental. At the beginning when their loved ones visited them, they would come near them and although they couldn’t speak they would listen, but the more days passed the faster they forget about their life as a human.

Deep down they know something is wrong about them but they no longer know how to even articulate that so it just manifests in excessive grooming and feather plucking.

When Duchess‘s was little her grandmother used to take her and would point to the swan that had been Duchess‘ mother but Duchess just saw a swan.

Honestly Maddie might not even notice at first. Because of her playful, devil-may-care personality, she's always sort of hanging off people in a display of casual touch, regardless of whether they want her to or not

Not only will she be okay with you being affectionate, she'll absolutely encourage it. She's 100% the type of person to pop up out of nowhere and wrap her arms around you in a massive bear hug without you even noticing until the moment it happens

If you're the type of person who likes playing/messing with people's hair, then by all means go ahead. She has no problem with you combing your fingers through it while she chats about anything and everything (though don't be alarmed if you see a small mouse pop out of it at any point. That's just Earl Grey, he sleeps there occasionally lol)

Upon getting your permission she'll mess with you the same way you do her. Prepare to have your hair, clothes, or accessories fiddled with randomly as she talks a mile a minute, asking you any random question that may pop into her head before rapidly moving onto the next thing

It warms her heart to know you care so much that you show it in a more physical way. As someone who's main love language is touch, all you're doing is reaffirming the amount of care you have for her

You won't ever worry about being too clingy, especially when it comes to her. Everyone knows Maddie tends to be a bit off the walls and all over people, so most will just assume that it's her that's the touch starved one rather than you

In all honesty? She thinks it's really cute how much you love to show your affection and she's willing to drop everything just to do that if it'll make you happy (no, literally. Her voice just popped into my subconsciousness to announce that her books for class are on the ground and her arms are now free and open for a hug if you want it)

Snow White: Bianca White ( Bianca means "white" and Whites are probably one of the most obsessed families with their story, every single Snow White had a name with meaning relative to the fairy tails,)

Evil Queen: Eris Queen (I can't remember did I read a fic where she was called Eris but I think that the name of the goddess of discord really suits her)

Sleeping Beauty: Rosalin Beauty (pretty standard name)

Cinderella: Ophelia Ella ( a sweet name for a sweet girl)

Red Riding Hood: Scarlett Hood (one more standard name)

Big Bad Wolf: Aiden Wolf (close friends call him Andy :) )

Dark Fairy: Darcy Thorn ( oh the irony of being the dark fairy with dark name and yet cover yourself in light)

Candy Witch: Cinnamon Witch (I also didn't come up with this name myself. I saw someone use it for her a really long time ago but I can't remember who. If the person who came up with this name sees this, you deserve a reward, the name is perfect. But I hc that she goes by her nickname: Candy. Why? Because it's such a cute nickname)

Pinocchio: Oak Wood (I think that every family name has something to do with trees or wood. Oak sounds like a perfect name for someone sweet, young and cheerful and later as an adult calm and wise)

Goldilocks: Dolly Locks ( I just think that its a cute name and she kinda remind me of Dolly)

Huntsman: Archer Huntsman (Okay, so, Huntsmans are bad at naming their kids, like REALLY BAD. Hunter we are counting on you to break that cycle)

King Charming: Dashing Charming (I read one fanfic were he is named Dashing and i think that name suits him, i myself couldn't come up with the more fitting name)

Queen Charming: Grace Charming (I also read that one in a fanfic and i think it fits her, somehow whenever i think of Charmings Dashing and Grace are the first name that come to my mind)

Rapunzel: Cressida O'Hair (I first just like the name but then i found out the Cressida means "golden" so it goes well with Rapunzel story)

Pied Piper: Devin Piper ( It means "bard" or "poet", the perfect name for a musician. Also, Piper is really a cool name, too bad it is already his last name)

Mad Hatter: Maddox Hatter (I just like silly names for Wonderlandians, especially Mad Hatter)

Queen of Hearts: Victoria Hearts ( okeey, it's not a very Wonderlandian name but neither is Elizabeth and Vicy is a cute nikename)

Cheshire Cat: Lorelai Cheshire (I didn't want to go for the obvious one Chatrine, like, I get it, she's a cat, She literally named her daughter Kitty, or maybe Katrine Kitty for short, BUT THEN I REMEMBER THAT TOLERAI EXISTED which is literally the same name just different first latter and I already gotten attached to Lorelai, so, umm if you all could just do me the favour and pretend that these are TOTALLY different names I would be very thankful)

White Rabbit: Castor Blanc ( At first i just liked the name but don't you think that "dutiful" is a perfect for White Rabbit)

White Swan: Elenor Swan ( It means "shining light" and to be honest with that destiny she's going to need some light in her life)

Black Swan: Callisto VonBart (What would be the last name of The Black Swan? VonBart?BlackSwan? I put VonBart because I found an OC of Odille on Pinterest and her last name was VonBart. I don't know)

Frog Prince: Hanry Croakington ( i reafuse to belive that he named his son after himself. Nuh-uh. He named Hopper after his father or maybe his grandfather)

Genuinely one of my favorite details about Ever After High is that the characters who sign the book do still end up following their destiny, just in a completely different way than the story.

This biggest example of this is obviously Apple, and Daring as well.

I’m sure there are others as well, but I’m due for a rewatch.

With this in mind, the episode where Ashlynn is trying to set up her shoe store by noon is 100% the Cinderella story. Hunter is her Prince Charming. Talk to the wall.

thinking about pink squad being the resident party throwers in ever after and all the shenanigans they get up to when planning

in the books, briar had the position of social throne on the student council (or something similar cant remember) so i just know that she has 100% memorized all the forms and steps on procedures on throwing events at eah.

apple wishes she has the same mastery as briar in paperwork. the girl can do budget proposals, logistical planning, role assigning, and etc in her sleep and thats not exaggerating.

(true hearts day being held in secret was an exception since grimm shot the event down as cupid suggested it. all their other events are approved by the school and grimm himself is going crazy trying to find a reason to reject their request but cant find a flaw in briar's event proposals.)

cupid is 'their guy' if they need anything. no matter how weird, how rare, how obscure, cupid knows how to get it. she just knows where to get it or knows someone who can get it for her ;)

girlie always has a delivery incoming to the point that blondie knows how to fake cupids signature so she could shoo away all the delivery birds that come to their dorm room because they need cupids signature before they could drop off their package.

hopper's their distraction guy. while he's not as charismatic in his human form, he's got a silver tongue in his frog form.

it isnt only just grimm who falls for hoppers made up play, but every teacher and professor falls for it too because he's just that good. made up plays, clubs, assemblies. he knows how to lie well enough that any school offical believe the lies coming out of his mouth.

(i know theyre teens still, but you cannot convince me that no one is drinking at any of these parties. theres no pressure to drink at all but the option's there if you wanna get loose and have a lil buzz. they're eventually going to drink alcohol in the future in balls and dances and such, so why not learn about their personal tastes and tolerance in alcohol now?)

the biggest hurdle in the pink squad's goal of getting happily ever wasted is, unfortunately, apple.

apple is a rule follower to her very essence and while she does go to the parties, she is against underage drinking. (but she's drunk on power all the time, okay jan.)

they figured out that the solution is just to always have a bowl of apple juice out in every party so that apple wouldnt know there's alcohol being served. they noticed that unless there wasnt any apple juice out, apple wouldnt try out any other drink. so with a bowl charmed to never run out of a.j., the students of ever after are free to drink as they please.

(i love the hc that ginger is also part of the pink squad, so im gonna give my hc of her in party planning as well)

ginger is their food and snacks girl. she makes the best food ever perfectly themed to the party that theyre throwing. from heart cakes on true hearts day, light finger food for the rager parties, to five course meals on their more classy events, ginger's got them covered. sometimes, she gets too conscious about what other people think of the food that she forgets to enjoy herself, but the pink squad drag her out of her funk and get her to have fun anyways

not members of the pink squad but people who sometimes help out

melody - the best dj in ever after! she uses these events sometime to test the reception to some of her upcoming songs before she releases them

daring - being blackmailed by cupid to act as a medic in case someone gets hurt. (this is also partly based on my cupid and daring friendship fic hjdjskr). he's the best in rescuing damsels, whats a drunk teen of not a damsel? (he's actually really good at giving first aid tho)

darling - security! they do have bouncers and such, but if anyones getting too rough at a party, they can get darling and a look from her gets the troublemaker running in fear or apologizing profusely

blondie - apart from committing forgery in cupid's name, she also gets the word out on her mirror blog when they have an event happening soon!

Bit late but I wanted to share my thoughts on Apple

Apple, the princess, the prodigal daughter

Apple who was told from a young age her destiny was to live happily ever after, who was told her destiny was set in stone and she would get it

no ifs, ands or buts

Apple trained her whole life to become the perfect figurehead, to live up to what her mother wanted her to be (a carbon copy of herself)

Apple who gets all of that ripped away from her at such a young age (aren’t they like 15/16 year olds?) and her only safety net gets destroyed because raven doesn’t want to fulfil her end of the story

(which is completely valid if I was in ravens shoes I’d do the same thing)

Apple has to fight to get it back, because it’s the only thing she’s ever known, she wants it because it was said she get it, she wants it because it’s rightfully hers

no wonder she becomes “selfish” in ravens eyes, Apple lost everything she ever knew as soon as Raven pledged not to follow of course she’s going to go to drastic lengths

Apple was loosing everything, her life, her friends, her sanity probably because what the hell would her mother think?!

Apple was loosing everything she thought she knew and she had to fight back. So she used everything she’d probably kept deep down inside to get it

She became the dark to ravens light

I don’t really like Apple myself, but holy shit she is more complex then most people know
