Thinking about the mini senpais and how that affects the order of deaths (a little like in the mini THH au). Chapter 1 with Sayaka will probably be the same as canon and as you described. My main big first difference I think will be a change in Mondo and Taka’s relationship.
Like Taka is learning to be gentle with Mikan, and is also protective of her in general. And Mikan will probably find Mondo to be scary as well. On Mondo’s side, while Fuyuhiko and Mondo will buttheads, the yakuza is gonna be on Mondo’s side when it comes to anything Taka says, so their initial rivalries will probably be way worse influenced by their senpais.
There’s also Chihiro deciding to train himself. I think he would talk to Kazuichi about it, and the latter is like “There’s no way you can train with Mondo!! He’s a super scary guy and has got that Yakuza whispering in his ear!” I think Kazuichi convinces Chihiro to talk to Taka instead, mostly so that they can get help from Nekomaru (who has since been adopted by Taka) but I think Kazuichi would argue that the “moral compass” would never murder even if he can be annoying.
Toko tells Byakuya about Genocider Syo like canon, but also to ask him if he can look after Gundham if something happens to her. I’m not sure how Gundham would feel but I’m sure he would be concerned for Toko’s wellbeing. And Sonia would be so excited to meet THE Genocider Syo (sort of).
I’m not sure who would kill in chapter 2. Mondo could still have his break down and accidentally kill someone again, it just might be a different target. (Shit what if it’s Fuyuhiko?! He accidentally gets squashed!!)
This could all be different if Nagito gets the idea to share the secrets and tells Makoto to suggest it. But it’s Nagito so rather than to prevent deaths it’s more to see if the ultimates can overcome the despair of their secrets. So everyone gets to find out that Makoto wet the bed until 5th grade. Nagito’s reaction to that might be funny. Though sadly I don’t think it gets anyone else to fess up cuz everyone else’s are all a lot worse.
Anyway thanks to reading my gasbagging.
This is all golden, yes!
As much as I love Ishimondo (both as a platonic pair and a romantic one), I gotta agree that they probably wouldn't fall together as easily during this.
Although! I just imagined a version of the sauna scene where, in addition to asking Makoto to witness, they also have him hold their senpais for them (so, Nagito's on one shoulder, Fuyuhiko's on the other, Mikan's standing in the palm of his hand, and he's holding Taka's basket with Ibuki, Peko, and Nekomaru in the crook of his arm), and I find it really funny to imagine. Some of them are really invested in the endurance contest (Nekomaru asks for a higher vantage point, and Makoto only has so much shoulder space, so he's placed on top of Makoto's head.), and Ibuki is really affectionate toward Makoto because she feels bad about what happened with Sayaka.
And either Taka and Mondo end the contest early because Makoto has to go to bed so they have to take their senpais back, because the senpais are their responsibility, or, when Makoto says it's nighttime and he wants to go back to his room, Nekomaru shouts "SLEEPOVER!" and Makoto cares for six miniature people that night.
Either way, I agree with you that Taka and Mondo wouldn't get as close, at least not as quickly, as they do in canon. (I just had to include the sauna thing because the idea was fun for me, lol.) They're on more of a gradual enemies to friends or enemies to lovers track, which may or may not have time to reach its destination, because killing game.
Mikan doesn't like to be around Mondo, but Peko wants to be near Fuyuhiko and so advocates that they spend more time with Mondo, and Taka cares about everyone getting a voice, so when it's Peko's turn to choose, he offers to let Mikan hide in his pocket or back in the terrarium in his room. But she wants to stay with him.
Just to set some stuff up, in the social landscape of Chapter 2, Hifumi has been making little outfits because Celeste is now coping by living vicariously through Chiaki. So, she has Chiaki playing dress-up for her, styling after her, etc. Chiaki insists on continuing to wear her cat hoodie with the gothic lolita dresses, but other than that she's a pretty good sport about everything.
(Hifumi was given Celeste's sewing kit to do this, and he gave her his tool kit in trade. There was probably some joke about him being dominated, or giving away his manhood, or something like that, because I can't imagine Danganronpa would pass that up without comment.)
Aoi also asks Hifumi to make some tiny clothes, because she's worried that Akane's clothes don't fit her right. (When she asks Akane about it, Akane agrees that they don't really fit but basically says that they've always been like that so she's used to it.)
And since Hifumi interacts with both of them really respectfully and works really diligently, Mahiru is praising him for being reliable, and basically Hifumi has been swimming in female attention this chapter and does not know what to do with himself.
When Mondo accidentally upsets Chihiro, and Taka mentions that Mikan is scared of Mondo, Hifumi probably makes a joke about how some guys just don't know how to act around women.
(And there's no "ironic coming from you" response, because Hifumi is genuinely doing pretty great about that.)
Mondo blushes, but he's also like, "Hey, shut up! F you!" and stuff.
Byakuya is isolating himself from the group because he doesn't trust them, but Sonia is so bored with this. She is way too social to just be going straight from his room to the library and back every single day. As a result, Byakuya is more lenient with letting other people talk to him, for her sake.
This is mostly Makoto. He talks with Makoto, and Sonia with Nagito. Nagito talks with Sonia about the killing game, and how there's tons of historical precedent for royalty enjoying blood sport, and how the group is reaching their potential. She knows there's something off about him, but she's starved for social interaction and also this talk of royals and blood sport does appeal to her, in a perverse way.
It's an interesting vibe, because Makoto is bringing Byakuya slightly down to earth, and Sonia is slightly softening Byakuya's edge, but Nagito is making Sonia slightly less down to earth, and Byakuya is sharpening her edge. They're reaching a weird middle ground where Byakuya is less of a jerk and Sonia is less kind.
As a result of this, Byakuya orders Makoto to come sit with him every day. Sonia needs conversation, and also Byakuya has decided that he wants Makoto to make it out of here with him (to be his servant, of course), so he wants to keep Makoto close. Makoto still takes meals with the group, still mediates the sauna thing for Taka and Mondo, but he spends a lot of time in the library with Byakuya, this chapter.
He's still barred from the archive room, or whatever that room was called.
Then we do get the motive about revealing secrets.
Yes, Chihiro trains with Taka. Wholesome workouts for them!
Toko does tell Byakuya about Syo. Obviously, she waits for a time when Makoto isn't around, but Nagito finds out because Sonia is buzzing next time he talks to her, and while she of course doesn't tell him Toko's secret, her explanation for why she's excited gives him all the pieces to figure it out. He might sprinkle her with pepper, like I mentioned last time, which might cause a killing, if he gets a chance to explain to her that her secret will be revealed otherwise.
I think Mondo would seriously be considering killing someone to protect his secret. Like, I imagine him pacing in his room, not wanting to kill anyone but thinking about what would happen to the Crazy Diamond if it got out.
Fuyuhiko puts aside his prickly demeanor and fully becomes both the older student and the professional criminal. "Okay, so you want to kill someone. Are you ready to seriously follow through? You think you can cover up a murder, if it means everyone in your class dies? If you fail, and you die, what happens to your gang then?"
Mondo decides he definitely shouldn't kill someone. Whatever happens when the secret is revealed, he'll face it like a man. Because he's strong. He's a man, and he's strong. (He's hanging by a thread, but his commitment to specifically not killing someone is strengthened by his talk with Fuyuhiko.)
Optional zag, which isn't entirely in character but just the outline of a murder that can happen:
Little does he know! During the senpais' sleepover with Makoto, Nagito planted some seeds by bringing up Fuyuhiko's sister, the "mysterious" circumstances of her death, and just generally musing that the senpais aren't really a part of the killing game in the same way the others are. Fuyuhiko's trying to be there for his kouhai, but lowkey he is also pretty riled up.
So maybe he suggests that Mondo let out his frustration by (non-lethally) punching that guy who insulted him in front of everybody. After all, Hifumi "looks like he can take a hit", and it's been a long time coming. (Fuyuhiko might have said something like "You gonna let him say that sh!t to you?" when it happened.) If Mondo is keyed up about the motive, then just punching someone who deserves it should make him feel better, and then he can move on.
(Fuyuhiko isn't really aiming to kill Mahiru, at least not consciously, but if Hifumi does fall over and crush Mahiru to death by accident, then that's not a murder in terms of the killing game; Hifumi broke the rule about losing his senpai, but Mondo and Fuyuhiko aren't guilty of anything.)
In this situation, I'm imagining Hifumi brings Mahiru to Taka, hoping Mikan can do something to help her, and Hifumi leaves Mahiru with them and gets killed while he's away. So, Taka shows up to breakfast the next morning with Hifumi's senpai, not knowing that Hifumi is dead. The killer could be Sakura or Toko. Technically, it could also be Hiro. It doesn't feel in character for it to be Hiro, but I also don't have anything else for him to do.
(If Toko is the Chapter 2 killer, then Byakuya takes Gundham once she's executed; Sonia wanted him under their protection.)
But hey, the headline is, Chihiro and Mondo probably survive Chapter 2! And maybe Mikan can help Mahiru. But everything I said after "optional zag" isn't set in stone, lol.

Takemichi stan here, please talk more about him being a protag, I'm very intrigued.
(And also, Celeste's cat, lmao)
I have been WAITING for this ask since I dropped the tier list. Thank you. Thank you so much
So in UDG, Komaru becomes the protagonist because she's Makoto's sister, and thus, becomes Monaca's target. Well, Komaru is still Monaca's target in this UDT au too, BUT it's because she's the sister of the mastermind, not the one who killed the mastermind. This puts her as a secondary deuteragonist of the game, as Leon (the deuterag) is unsure how much she knows and if she's trustworthy or not. But that left me with an empty protagonist slot, so I thought to myself, which Captive would best fit within this au? And two options came to mind. The first was Takaaki, but I ultimately wanted the protag/Deuterag dynamic that Toko and Syo had with Komaru so I decided against it, instead opting to have him be in my au's UDT 2 and play a major role there. The other was Takemichi.
Takemichi has always been one of the captives I would've liked to see the most, and it helped here that Mondo had become the first victim in this AU's THH, so I figured that gave him enough significance right off the bat to put him in a leading role in a game about the victims' loved ones, especially considering that we know Leon and Mondo were friends prior to the games. I imagine a game in which Takemichi actually remembers Leon but Leon has no memory of him has a ton of potential to it especially. (Also, as much as I love Tokomaru and Syomaru, I wanna assert that Leon and Takemichi are gonna be entirely platonic. Maybe a QPR at most)
If there are any Takemichi lovers who've scrounged up every known piece of info about Takemichi, and any of it contradicts with my limited knowledge and assumptions, please tell me, I'd love to hear more, but as of typing this out, all my knowledge of Takemichi is
A) he's Mondo's right hand in the gang
B) he's expressly not interested in women despite a literal fanclub
And
C) he's short? Ider finding this info so this could just be an assumption based on the way they draw his face
So my line of thinking would be him pulling together an outfit and painting a biker helmet to look like a Monokuma kid, and therefore, avoid being attacked. This disguise would be a work in progress over the course of the game, coming to completion in the later chapters to introduce a sneaking mechanic. This disguise would make for a way to reveal that the helmets aren't just helmets, but tracking devices to keep track of the kids, so while you can go past the kids with the disguise, it doesn't work on the Monokumas bots because there's no sensor telling them to stop. Also, I like to think his weapon of choice would be something along the lines of a survival multi tool for map exploration, while Komaru maintains the gun and can be swapped out when specific bullets are needed for puzzles, rather than shooting being the primary progression mechanic. Leon, meanwhile, is the main fighter, wielding a metal bat to break the Monokumas when they're attacked.
Really, I'd like to delve into the story of what made Takemichi want to join a biker gang, and having his past let him connect with Nagisa. I can't help but imagine Takemichi, who joined a gang, might've done so because of pressures in his home life leading him to redefine his life and leave home, maybe even staying with the Owadas. So he might just be the right character to reach out to Nagisa and get through to him, saving him from being killed by his own robot and giving him a second chance, with him then being the one to help them through the final chapter and warn them of Monaca's interest in Komaru, though he doesn't know why.
But yeah that's what I've been thinking!

Wow this is a definite hot take to be sure as I know a lot of people have A-2 ranked as their personal favourite Another case period, so seeing it ranked so low is...a interesting manoeuvre.
The characterisation of the victim and culprit is interesting because it shows a massive inconstency with LINUJ's worldbuilding and his worldview. You see LINUJ had ideas to make certain characters more jerkish and more evil then they were. I already discussed how he planned to make Kanata into a serial killer but decided she was too cute and wholesome to be twisted so it was dropped. Similarly he had plans to make Ayame into someone evil as well, so that one segment where Ayame claims to be evil was meant to be geniune. This was again dropped because I think LINUJ started to realise if he made all his culprits to be complete arseholes, then it would get boring very quickly. Also because of the big reveal that not only were all of Class 79 members of the Kisagari Foundation but apparantely they all got the best character development imaginable and all became good buddy-buddy friends.
So by this logic that means Kizuna eventually evolves and develops to be more then a shallow bullying bitch, so why the fuck is she described as being a hollow bitch all along LINUJ? I know Killing Games are high stress enviroments which do nobody any good but what happened in the one year the Class 79 knew each other which was so different from the now? Its just so much of a tonial dissonance that its almost as if LINUJ's views on human nature and how the story are progressing are competiting against each other. Now I'm starting to have a better picture why Void are the way they are, because maybe LINUJ realised having a group who supposedly all got along so well, that he needed to create a massively evil group to justify what he says about them.
So long story short if you remember Bubble's Mean Girl Problem essay, Kizuna is the biggest victim of it because she is literally treated like a bitch and nothing else. Like the crying and the fact she was lonely was all a ruse so she could kill Yuki? And that's not even ignoring the fact Kizuna in some ways would have become an accidental heroine given her original targets of Yuki and Akane ARE the masterminds all along, but I don't really think she had noble intentions there. It makes me suspect if Divine Luck came into play why Ayame happened to be in the area when the murder was taking place so that Akane and Yuki could dodge death.
This chapter also makes me realise how overrated Akane and Ayame's relationship is because those two barely interacted with each other during A-2, and the main reason people ship these two together is soley because of the fact Ayame saved Akane from Kizuna. Which its a solid reason and we know Ayame's actions do have a lasting effect as its the main catalyst which causes Akane to develop a conscious in the end, Akane doesn't really interact much with Ayame beyond that. Most of her Chapter 2 interactions are with Kizuna and we all know how THAT ends up unfortunately. Dom't get me wrong I do like all the shipping done with that, but its something that's blown WAY out of proporation.
Seems like wasting a good chunk of the class trial on pointless stuff is a recurring theme with Chapter 2s isn't it? 2-2 had to go through the video game and then Hiyoko having a Twitter like meltdown, 3-2 had not only Himiko but then Maki accused of murder and that took up a good deal of trial time, this obviously spends a lot of time with Akane in the hot seat and Despair Time takes the cake with the majority being spend on pointless secrets that in the end adds to nothing. That's easily the worst one since at least the others kinda were related to murder crime but that...was so not it. Heck even 1-1 and A2-2 weren't spared this since 1-1 had the Genocider Syo stuff though that was actually a important point to the trial so it wasn't nonsense that out stayed its welcome, and A2-2 was a trainwreck conducted by Kanade Otonokoji so less said there the better.
This is another reminder I REALLY need to read +2-2 at some point, because I know quite a few people, especially Carol herself, having been asking me to read it, which for those who don't know, its an AU where Ayame was able to give Kizuna medical attention before she bled out to death. Because seeing the main reason why Ayame decided to kill Kizuna was because she knew there was no way she could get Kizuna medicial attention in time before she died and then Akane would be the blackened, Ayame would basically finish off the job. So I am curious how Carol gets around that issue and how it effects the rest of the Chapter.
I also notice there is some translation errors in this Chapter since the motive is the dark secrets that everyone randomly picks out, but they keep referring to the notes as videos, so unless these are like Harry Potter like notes where the words move, I'm gonna suspect the translator fucked up here. The remake should clear this up though.
Going back to my previous discussions on how Junko is watching all this footage and taking notes how to finetune it for her own Killing Game, I think the actions of Kizuna and Ayame is what not only motivated her to kill Mukuro off, since she didn't want Mukuro doing a Akane and siding against her, but also why she decided to have Mukuro pose as her while she hides in the background. As after seeing Kizuna (rightfully) suspect that Yuki and Akane are tied to the Mastermind, she tries to kill them off which to Junko was too much of a risk factor for her. I did always wonder why Junko didn't hide herself among the students and was just cooped up in her mastermind room all the time, but now I know why this is the case, you cannot kill the Mastermind if you cannot find them.
We all know the Doylst reasoning for this is LINUJ trying to play it safe, but I do like my Wattson explanation for why there are differences between the Proto Killing Game and the Killing School Life as Junko taking notes on the test run and figuring out what works well and what doesn't. Like the notes are given randomly so others do find out, but I wonder why Junko decides to have it so Class 78 get their own secrets and the threat that no murder in 24 hours means the entire world finds out about them. As I would think others knowing the secrets would cause more chaos.
It is cool that while Ayame said she did do it to protect Akane, she also had ulteror motives for wanting to escape too. This is something I had to talk about on my blog where someone mentioned someone saying that Gundham covering up evidence for his crime means he was trying to escape and not kill Nekomaru to sacifice himself, because if he wanted to help everyone, why not say so at the start? Now of course that should be pinned for 2-4 but my rebuttal at the time is that the reason nobody who does a sacifice says I did it is firstly survival instincts mean nobody wants to fess up since confessing means death, but secondly even if they did admit it would anyone believe them? Plenty of characters like to falsely confess to killing which means said confessions won't be accepted. And by plenty I do mean Nagito and Kokichi. Mostly Kokichi.
Also the fact that Danganronpa is a video game and it would make it very boring. And yeah I agree there should be more evidence to pin Ayame as the culprit rather then opps I slipped. Since the lack of it is what leads the discussion to be focused on Akane for so long and not shift to Ayame until Rei had to literally spell it out by saying "Ayame did it, you guys are morons and never ask for anything ever again."
Tsurugi's downward sprial is also a big yikes because this is what happens when the "leader" becomes the rival character and everyone suffers as a result. But I do disagree that Tsurugi doesn't improve as as the game goes, and the rest of the characters call him out on his bullshit, he does eventually realise it leaves him isolated with no one but Yuki for company, and even that is hollow in the end. So there was a sense by A-5 that Tsurugi would eventually improve as a person...but then Yuki being Utsuro completely killed any intention of that and really made him become the maniac he was by SDRA2. Having said that, I will say he isn't the worst example of this in Fanganronpas, because I'm going through The After right now and if you hate how Tsurugi is treated...
Then you are really gonna loathe Ryohei Seki. I do like this approach because Tsurugi does become quite hateable but its a very unique take on a rival character as normally the distain for the character is like "they are werid/creepy" whereas Tsurugi is very antagonistic and the others do call him out on that. Remember how I said Mitch being so irredeemable allowed Tsurugi's idealogy to sneak into the other's heads? Well having Ayame be sympathatic and Tsurugi to be like she's evil all along, is the point where most characters will start to realise Tsurugi is in the wrong.
I also find Tsurugi's idealogy to be very hypocritical as he got that idealogy from his father, who was working with Junko all this time and thus is the Ultimate evil. So why double down, and thus making himself to be as deprived as Despair itself? Is he literally that delusional in SDRA2?
That being said A-2 is an original case which is more then what can be said for all of Another 1. And while Ayame and Akane's dynamic was handled well, abet right at the end, Kizuna wasn't handled well and some of the stuff LINUJ says really goes against his own writings. Tsurugi is going a interesting turn as while he's not a very likable character I find it compelling he's like this, and while the first trail serves to help you support his idealogy, the second one is to tell you Tsurugi is very much in the wrong.
Overall I tell now we are in the C tier of Chapters, where we are past the real stinkers and ones with glaring flaws to them, and are now into the okay ones but with some significent flaws here and there. And I'm curious who you consider to be a better Another culpirt then Ayame but we will eventually find that out.
//I find it funny how LINUJ decided against making all his culprits assholes, but then rehashed that idea in SDRA2.
//I mean, with VOID, it makes sense. Their whole gimmick is that they're an evil organization infiltrating the group and steering events in Mikado's favor. For SDRA2's plot, it does make sense.
//But then with the killers in Another 1, all of them are somewhat sympathetic, even Kinji, except for MItch. So I'm not sure what happened between DRA's creation and SDRA2's creation that really got LINUJ to change his tune like this.
//And yeah, trust me when I say Mod Carol is definitely happy about the fact that everyone was very friendly. Makes their favourite killer/victim ship that's shown here a lot more justifiable.
//Speaking of Carol, I had no idea that she wrote that fic. I might have to read it myself. Unlike my interactions with other DR Mods like Bubbles and Poi, I've not really talked to her ever, but I've been a fan of her art long before I ever found A Student Out Of Time. If she's the one who wrote that fic, I'll for sure give it a go.
//Also, the fact that Divine Luck came into play to protect Akane is canon. Divine Luck made it so that everything in the killing game happened just as Utsuro wanted it to without Utsuro even being conscious or aware of his own abilities. It's also why Tsurugi just so happened to trip over the carpet in Chapter 4 when he was was trying to goad everyone into group suicide, and why he didn't die despite shooting himself point-blank in the brain.
//The fact that Ayame and Akane didn't interact too much during the Chapter isn't something I take fault with, because I think it's implied that they still hung out behind closed doors (and no, that's not an innuendo) when Yuki wasn't present, but yeah, you have a point. It would have been more impactful had we seen something like Mondo and Taka's bonding session in DR1, but at the same time, Akane and Ayame were never really at odds with each other.
//Maybe if you were to send that to the guys working on the remake, they might consider adding a little scene to better explain it. The only problem in that case is that it would make it way too obvious that either one of them is going to be the Chapter 2 killer.
//The thing is that of all the second cases in this series, yes, they all do have the common trait of dancing around a lot until you reach a conclusion, but I think that 2-2 and A2-2 are the only ones that did that poorly, and A-2 kind of does it...okayish. 1-2 and V3-2 actually do really good stuff with their red herrings and it makes the case way more interesting.
//Also, the main reason why 2-2 is so bad in that regard is because the killer is outed REALLY quickly. If it was the other way around in that the killer was outed very late into the trial, and most of it was waffling around trying to figure out their identity, I wouldn't mind as much, because that's the whole point of Danganronpa.
//And yeah, please don't put too much credit to the direct translation of Another 1 that most people have played. The translation issues and the fact that the team who originally did it did such a half-baked job is one of the raving issues of that game when I and my friend Megacomet played it for the first time, and I'm glad the remake seems to be serious about fixing that.
//That stuff about Junko makes sense, but honestly, thinking about it that way, I do think that does ultimately take away from Junko's character. The fact that her master plans aren't even hers originally is one thing, but I also feel like she would happily have killed Mukuro regardless of what happened. I think she saw the killing game as a spectacular event that she could use as an excuse to finally get rid of her after all this.
//Weirdly enough, this motive and the tension it causes reminded me of the Chapter 2 motive of Hyper Danganronpa H20 of all things. I don't know why because it's completely different, but it carries the same amount of weight with its reveals and stuff, even if its handled relatively poorly.
//The quick version is that the motive itself gives you one other random member of the main cast, and how many people over the course of their life that they have hurt, and how many people they have killed. And it comes with some interesting revelations, such as Victoria Hester having killed several thousands as part of being a naval officer. Although in that game, this comes back to bite her much later in Chapter 4 when one of the other characters turns out to be a survivor of a camp that she and her squadron destroyed.
//The reason why Victoria manages to survive for much longer after that though is because the others confront her about it in a non-violent confrontation, and she explains herself. Meanwhile, that chapter's killer, like Kizuna here, doesn't question the circumstances behind her own note, and chooses to assinate that chapters victim based on this unproveable evidence.
//So HDRH20 does it better and just as bad at the same time, which for Another, is NOT a good look.
//Also, that spiel about Gundham and why he didn't step forward immediately following Nekomaru's body discovery? There actually is a more thorough and detailed reason why he chose to do, and it's a lot more obvious than people think it is. But I'll cover that when we get to talking about 2-4, which in case you don't know me by now, won't be for quite a while.
//All I can say in regards to how the Ayame stuff gets resolved is #SleiMekaru, and that's both good and bad.
//Tsurugi in SDRA2 is a discussion for another time, for sure, and I will touch on it when we get to talking about A2-6. There are, I'm sure, a lot of reasons why he became so disjointed, but the fact that he regressed so much still bothers me.
//Although, if there's one thing I do like about Tsurugi, it's that even as a "rival" character, his main relationship with Yuki is surprisingly cooperative and very not rival-like. The only ways in which they differ are their chosen methodology, but both know they ultimately want the same thing. Contrasting that with other rivals:
Makoto wants to work with Byakuya to ensure that everyone can survive, but Byakuya wants none of that, and initially, he would much rather the killing game continue so he can have his fun. He's very serious about making Makoto know that the two of them come from very different worlds that should never cross.
Hajime and Nagito go through a rollercoaster in which they start as friends before Hajime develops a disdain for Nagito after he reveals his true nature and ideology, then Nagito turns that disdain back on Hajime, and then they are...somehow okay with each other again in 3, but...whatever.
Shuichi and Kokichi maintain an...interesting relationship in that they're not quite friends, but definitely not enemies either. Kokichi is clearly very endeared to Shuichi with the fact that he likes playing around with him, but never specifically subjects Shuichi to any of his more extreme antics, while Shuichi never holds Kokichi's actions against him, despite some of the absolutely terrible shit that he does, because he just wants to understand Kokichi.
Sora and Syobai just despise each other and maintain an unhealthy and bitter dynamic with each other, even when they try to avoid one another. Makes sense considering SDRA2 literally starts off with Syobai stabbing her, but in the end, they do eventually accept each other for who they are, and come together to destroy Mikado in an epic fashion.
//In contrast, Yuki and Tsurugi disagree on each others way of going about the Killing Game, with Yuki trying to be friendly and reasonable, and Tsurugi trying to be a totalitarian dictator about it, but they themselves are ammicable with each other and respect the other as a person.
//And this carries over in SDRA2 when Tsurugi very clearly genuinely wants to save Yuki from the Neo World. As bad as Tsurugi is, his relationship with Yuki is one of his best points. It's just not something that gets brought up in the trials a lot.
//But yeah, the key word when it comes to analysing Tsurugi is "hypocrisy." It is ABUNDANT throughout his entire writing.
//As for Ryohei Sasaki, I am partially familiar with him, but there's a difference between them.
//Tsurugi fell into despair and became corrupt as a result of the circumstances around him, and he genuinely thinks that what he's doing is for the betterment of the world, and in some ways, he is right.
//Sasaki is just a bad person through and through.
//And yeah, to finish this quick response, I did actually make a tier-list version of this ranking, and we are in the C-Tier right now. This is how it is so far:
C Rank - ???, A-2, A-1, 2-2 D Rank - V3-5, 1-3, A2-5 E Rank - V3-6, 2-3 F Rank - 1-1, 1-5, A-3 G Rank - V3-3, A2-2, A2-3
//Right now, the trial that I'll be covering tomorrow is not only our final "C-Rank" trial in my opinion, but at the risk of spoiling but alsk keeping you guessing, it's also going to be our third Another 1 case in a row.
//And given its status, probably one that's going to be similarly a controversial pick.

S-Class are all going to the amusement park together and asked you if you wanted to join them!
They all want to get their own time, but of course you get decide what you want to do!
Tokiya was thinking of checking out the gift shops. He's interested in the accessories they sell. Something about getting a matching pair of cat ears with you would be nice.
Ren wanted to see the sights. They said if you find the highest point, you can see the park in full, its a beautiful view. They would love to share the adventure with you.
Syo is excited for all the rides! They would love to take you to all of them, Syo will do their best to be your prince in shining armor if you're scared!
Or maybe you had something else in mind? Something that you'd like for everyone to do together?

Byakuya was in Hotel Mirai on the first island in the lobby, reading a book to pass the time. Alongside him is Seiko, who was also there to take a breather after escaping the ghouls. She reveals to him one of her pills that could give him superhuman strength and speed to help against any ghouls they may encounter. Does the pill work as intended? Or does it backfire for both tremendously?
Disclaimer: R18 material! If not to your liking then please do not view!
(Moving this to an empty cottage, I'm sorry XD)
Byakuya needed a breather. Some men think being in a place with a bunch of women was a dream come true, but they have clearly not been in a barn with a misandrist, a cultist, a freeloading magician, two amazons who ignore his plight, and a cackling serial killer who visits them because she wants his dick....
And it smells all the time.
So, screw it, Byakuya is in a cottage to read for the day. He has more than enough supplies thanks to Syo, so he can afford to relax....
But then came fucking Seiko, supply hunting herself, and her horde of ghouls, coming into HIS cottage and risking his life. Whyyyyyyy?!!!!
"I swear I'll sue your company once this is over." threatened Byakuya as ghoul were pouring in.
"Eeeeeeeeeeek!!! U-u-u-um, later!! For now, take this!!!" Huh? Before Byakuya could question it, Seiko swallowed a pill before tossing another into his mouth and-
Huh?
Did he...did he blackout? He looked around the cottage. The place was a total mess with ghouls all over beings strewn about - unconscious. He looked downwards at himself. Gaaah!! He had just an undershirt and his black boxers on!!! Damn it, his suit was in pieces!!!! Where was Sei....oh~
He blushed as he looked downwards as, nuzzling his cock, was a Seiko sleeping happily by his side. In just a surprisingly mature pair of purple bra and panties that seemed ill-fitting to her new, surprisingly strong and curvy, body. Must have been from the drugs she took (though looked as if the effects wore off for him). Occasionally, a slimy, black, tongue would come out of her mouth to lick at his crotch. Sending waves of pleasure up his spine and having be back to just mild in his temper.
"...Fine, I suppose I'll sue you in a few year then." Hey, it's Byakuya, this is him letting her off easy~

Kotoko for the headcanon ask game
hoo boy!
A: doesn't like things like chocolate-covered pretzels; anything that combines salty and sweet is a sin against snacks in her book.
B: post-UDG, i feel like while kotoko does ease up on toko a bit, she still thinks syo is the "cooler sister". naturally, toko gets a bit salty about this.
C: not in the "fun to inflict on friends" category, but i feel like she'd have more triggers than just her 'forbidden word'. specifically physical contact like hugs and especially headpats. in time and around the right people, she'd probably be more comfortable with giving hugs, at least.
D: kotoko's probably the one person in the warriors, aside from nagisa, who'd be against killing grand bois cheri ludenberg even though he's marked as a 'demon'. not for any moral reason or anything, cats are too adorbs even if they are kinda jerks!

What are your plans on approaching Chihiro and Toko/Syo?
Written by @nerd-cat-rambles ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
Oh first ask, so awesome!
Alright anon, here we go...
We just started this whole thing yesterday, so we don't even have plans on who's surviving/dying/blackened etc. BUT!!! We will NEVER EVER get rid of Syo, we love genocider syo!
And for Chihiro, seeing as even the creators didn't put TOO much thought into their (her? HIS? HELP???) development, the most likely outcome will be giving them development, and a proper backstory that makes gendering them much easier for viewers/readers!
Again, none of this is final, (except for syo being amazing omg) as this whole thing is a WIP. But, if you want to join the team and help DM. Any suggestions you have are valid, and valuable, which we'd love to hear!
Even if you don't like writing it's alright, because there are so many ways to help!
In future if we get enough people in the fic, we're planning on changing character POVs per chapter (each author is responsible for a different character so we can have a variety of perspectives and different writing styles) this makes the reader know that nobody is safe, you're reading in Makoto's POV? He might die at the end, he might kill at the end, he probably isn't even the protagonist. Who knows???
We'll keep alot of things in the fic similar to the original game!
Written by : @sleepy-pile-of-ashe
(Pasted from DMs with perms, seperate messages) ->
I kinda want a genderfluid or transfem Chihiro ngl
I think we SHOULD do some research on systems and DID as a whole tho b/c Toko/Syo arent that accurate anymore
Written by: @brainfilehasstoppedworking
(Pasted from DMs with perms) -> Genderfuild Chihiro would be good. Idk. 'Cause I usually do he/him or they/them pronouns for him. So I think genderfluid is a good option.
Written by: @le-agent-egg
Oh hey no worries! Honestly I agree that we should do a lot of research into Toko and Syo, since while to an *extent* you can justify it as 2010, it’s still really. Icky. Not good. I still wanna include Syo because BEST CHARACTER BEST CHARACTER WE LOVE SYO SYO IS SILLY GOOFBALL BEST CHARACTER but I wanna make sure we actually like!!! Write Syo with respect!! I think that’s really really important.
AS FOR CHIHIRO. Oh Chihiro my sweet baby Chihiro. For me personally, I think enby or transfemme would probably work best, though I might be a little biased since I do use they/them for Chihiro. But!! I think the most important thing is that, like Syo, we write them with the respect they deserve. Genderfluid Chi would also work! Just as long as it’s kind of stated, again, treat them with respect. I don’t wanna act like my word is gospel, especially since I’ll never understand the struggles of someone who is transfemme, but I do hope both Chi and Syo get the good writing and respect they deserve!! That’s just my opinion. (again under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will Syo be axed. The silly ever. We love Syo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️)
---
Sorry this took so long, we had to get answers from everybody on the team.
If you have any long ideas, put them in the suggestion box and we'll check if we can put it onto the blog.
Any reblogs please put into the #THH Rewrite Collab tag
Thanks for the ask anon, hope this helped you!!! <3

Pairing: Syo Kurusu X afab!Reader
Synopsis: Finally arriving at the idols' dorm building, MC was distracted by a certain idol practicing his lines for a movie. And after accidentally proclaiming his love to her, he offered to show her his upcoming projects.
Word Count: 1,322
Tumblr media
Finally, the young composer arrived at the main building of Master Course. A satisfied smile present on her lips after spending some precious moments with four of the idols she deeply loved. While walking through the hallway and glancing at the exterior design of the building, she heard a familiar voice screaming 'I love you!'. Her [e/c] orbs widened and mouth parted, surprised by the voice.
She abruptly stopped and whipped her head towards to the voice, curious eyes examining the only male who could possibly be shouting at this time of the night. She saw the only fedora-wearing blonde just a few meters away from her, his back facing her as he moved his arms while shouting out his lines.
"I..." he retreated back his arms. Suddenly, he whipped his left arm behind, his eyes meeting with hers when he shouted his line. "I love you!"
"S-Syo-nii..."
It took Syo a minute before realizing what happened. A faint blush appeared on his face, heart pounding in embarrassment and nervousness. A sweat appeared on his temple as he stared at [Y/n]'s small form, mouth agape and slightly tugged on the sides.
"[Y-Y/n]..." he mumbled, disbelief lacing his tone. "What are you doing here? Were you listening?"
"Um... I just came here to pay you guys a visit," she replied, rubbing her temple nervously. "And yes, I was listening."
He paled in realization, embarrassed that she heard him shouting 'I love you's a minute earlier.
"They're just lines for my movie," he reasoned, taking out the book which is called Prince of Fighting and showed it to her.
"You mean..." she tilted her head to the side cutely.
"Yeah. It's called Prince of Fighting: An Angel's Love!" he declared. "I'm performing with Hyuga-sensei again!"
"Oh~! With Ryu-niisan? That's cool!" her eyes sparkled in excitement.
"I know, right?" Syo grinned at her. "I got a lot of lines. There's even more action, too."
"That's great, Syo-nii!"
"A-and I have a love scene..." he shyly admitted, looking away from her.
"That's what you were practicing, huh?" [Y/n] smiled.
"Yeah. Watch this," Syo grinned at her, the blush still visible on his face.
Suddenly, his right arm snaked around her waist while pulling her close to him as his left hand holding the back of her head. [Y/n] had both of her hands resting in between her and his chests. Syo's face was so close with hers that she could feel the heat rising up to her cheeks. Fortunately, his eyelids were closed that prevented him to see her current state.
"The sky may fall and the earth may shatter, but my feelings will never change. Until the end of time, I..." slowly, he pulled back a bit from her and opened his eyes, revealing cerulean orbs staring back into her [e/c] ones. "I will protect you."
[Y/n] was left speechless at the male's confession—even though she knew that it was from a line in the movie—as they continued to gaze into each other. She knew that Syo's feelings were true even though he's just reciting the lines. She felt that he portrayed his own feelings into the act, and that's the reason why she's a blushing mess right now.
Syo found this as his chance when he saw her face. "I still have one more line, do you want to hear it?"
"Yes, Syo-nii..." [Y/n] slowly nodded her head.
"I wish I could explain your eyes, and how the sound of your voice gives me butterflies. How your smile makes my heart skip a beat and how every time I'm with you, I feel so complete," he whispered in her ears then kissed the top of her head affectionately.
[Y/n] closed her eyes and enjoyed the affection she was receiving from the blonde. Once Syo pulled away, he smiled down at her. The [h/c]ette also had a similar smile on her face.
"Do you want to hear the theme song? Apparently, they asked me to sing the theme song of the movie," he asked, his cerulean eyes telling her to say yes.
"Uh-huh! Sure thing, Syo-nii!" she beamed at him.
"Great!" he cheered, still not letting her go from his embrace. "It was actually the song you composed for me that became the movie's theme song."
"My...song?" her eyes widened in surprise at the news. "How?"
"Well..." the fedora-wearing blonde scratched his temple nervously. "I was singing the song during one of our breaks when we're filming, and apparently, the producer heard the song and told me that he's going to use it as the movie's theme song."
"Wow..."
"I know, right?! Your songs are the best as always!" he grinned at her. "I was more than happy to sing the song as the movie's theme song since you made it for me."
[Y/n] smiled softly at him. Somehow, his words brought comfort and encouragement to her. "Thanks, Syo-nii."
"Tenshi no Sandan, that's what I decided to call it."
Syo cleared his throat and started to sing the song, eyes still focused on [Y/n]. He plans on conveying his true feelings for the girl through the song that he's going to sing for her. And under the moonlight, the moment was perfect for him to do it.
youtube
"So, what do you say?" he asked, the eagerness of knowing her answer lacing in his tone.
"It's awesome, Syo-nii! The lyrics perfectly fit the theme of the movie!"
"Thanks!" he smiled. "That's probably because I was thinking about you while making the lyrics."
