Using a Live Skip Ticket also rewards MORE keys than playing manually. At least on the tests I've done so far. For My Cutie Drive Me Crazy (Expert, 60% bonus, 2LP) I received 1374 by playing myself, and 1641 with a skip ticket.
Box Event Updates:
A guaranteed box counter on the box opening screen will show how many opens are left until it guarantees a reward you're missing from the current line. I also seem to have had better luck so far, and not received as many duplicates. I'm unsure if they have reduced the chances of getting duplicates, or if its just luck.
'Same-Day Limited LP Charges' have been replaced with 'Event Limited LP Charges'. Regular LP Charges gained as event rewards have also been changed to Event Limited Charges. As the name implies, they will expire after the event ends.
Amount of Keys gained in Box Events are now also based on Score, not just the amount of Key icons touched during a song. As a result, playing the longest/hardest song on repeat is no longer the most efficient way to play Box Events.
These event Pieces have no special voice lines or costumes.
#also i take back everything i said about being luckier#ive been tuck one away from the first copy of Vans SR approximately forever

Edited the above, but more clarification: Combo does not have an affect on the amount of keys gained from a song. It is dependent on score, song difficulty level (easy/normal/hard/expert) and number of key icons touched.
I've tested out a few different things, and its a bit all over the place but here's some data from songs I've played so far. *Without any event bonus pieces on team. All plays were an S score and S combo unless otherwise stated (or if i forgot).
It seems that the amount of keys gained is consistent to score rank and difficulty regardless of song. For example:
Both Winter Blossom and Quartet Night on expert (1LP, 20% bonus) rewarded 520 keys. Likewise, both Winter Blossom and My Cutie Drive Me Crazy on expert (2LP, 60% bonus) gave the same amount of 1374 keys, despite My Cutie not having a full combo.
You can also see an example of the different between difficulty levels, with Super Star giving 1030 on Easy, and 1178 on Normal (both with 2LP 60% bonus).
Take with a grain of salt though, and feel free to do your own experiments!

#live emotion#event#update#tips#its nice to be able to have more play variety instead of playing the same song on repeat for 10 days or whatever

Aim at Enemies Box Event Best Song
The 6mo anniversary has changed how events work, and they're no longer dependent on the song length! You can read more here as well as here
All events, including this one, are now based solely on your score! Mainly your total event bonus %, the difficulty you are playing (higher the better), your general score rank, and how many key notes you can hit Combo doesn't seem matter in the slightest as long as you still hit all the key notes and it doesn't drop your score rank (i purposefully missed a ton of notes and got a D combo but it affected nothing, but i could be wrong!)
Focus on the song you can FC the most often at the highest difficulty
═══
For those who are busy, or just want to play as little as possible to save their sanity, here are the best options for you!
Least Number of Notes: ⤷ Easy: Winter Blossom ⤷ Normal: QUARTET NIGHT ⤷ Hard: Winter Blossom ⤷ Expert: Winter Blossom Shortest in length: My Cutie... Drive Me Crazy!

#update#event#live emotion#not sure about any hard data indicating what the best way to play it#from what i saw in my early plays#I was getting the same amount of keys regardless of the song (when playing at the same difficulty and same score/combo/guest bonus)

6 Month Anniversary Celebration (Part 3)
Here's the third and final part of the 6 month anniversary updates.
Login Bonus:
Log into the game before the 22nd of December to receive 1000 Wish Tones celebrating the broadcast of 'Find the Music ~ Winter Party'.
Costumes:
The costumes for the initial UR pieces will have alternate colour variations become available. As seen in the above image, Starish swaps the brown and white accents, Quartet Night's change from grey to white with grey accents, and Heavens receives a cool-toned grey instead of the default blue. *This will be added in a Spring update.
Extra Difficulty:
Above Expert, a new 'Advanced' difficulty level featuring 8 note lanes for live songs will be added to the game. It seems that it may be added to only a few songs initially, with more to come over time.
Camera Mode:
An AR camera mode allowing you to take photos with your idols will be added. It can be assumed this will be similar to the camera mode in Shining Live.
#i liek the alternate colours thing!#but i fear they'll be really hard to get lol#live emotion#utapri#anniversary#6 month anniversary#update

Maintenance is over. Check your gift box to get 100 wish tones (and likely some extras for stories you've cleared that have had their rewards increased). I'll be going to bed soon so if theres anything else new of note that wasnt announced already, I'll try to get to it tomorrow.
The guaranteed UR is indeed using paid (gained via exchanging irl currency) wish tones only.
All songs can now be rechallenged at all difficulty levels to gain the new 15 wish tone per goal reward.
Remember to update via Qooapp if you use it.
Refresh yourself on the updates here:

Kiryuin Van's Birthday (Year 1) Voicelines Translation.
-You can look at it again on the Event Log, Mini-Event section (for the other boys messages to him) and Talk section (for a one-on-one conversation with you and him) in Idol Page.
-Also the translations might not be fully accurate since I'm not that fluent on jp/en, so if i ever made a mistake do correct me🙏
<You (Player)> Van: Having you celebrate my birthday makes me really happy. It's so great that I can't stop smiling. Thank you. Van: …Hey, could you please tell me "Happy Birthday" again one more time? Or you could also say "I love you" in a really passionate way too if you want!
<Otoya> Otoya: Happy Birthday! We both have a similar vibe and pretty much in sync together, don't we? I hope we can work together again on something new! Van: That's so nice of you to say! Thanks! You're right, I think the two of us could do something interesting together.
<Masato> Masato: I wish you a Happy Birthday. I really admire the way how you support your group with your cheerfulness. Van: You're giving me too much praise! But well, it's more fun to always smile, isn't it? Thank you for the birthday wish!
<Natsuki> Natsuki: I wish you a Happy Birthday! It's so nice to see you always smiling. I thought that you must be healing everyone around with your smile. Van: I'm really happy to hear that~! Your smile is looking great too. Let's go and make everyone smile with it!
<Tokiya> Tokiya: I heard that it's your birthday today, Happy Birthday. I often see you at the center of conversations. Van: I'm quite talkative after all~ So maybe that makes me stand out a bit. Feel free to talk to me too sometime!
<Ren> Ren: Happy Birthday! I look forward to working with you again in the future. Well, I won't lose next time either. Van: Whoa, you're so fierce! Though that's what I like about you. Let's compete head-on together and create something great!
<Syo> Syo: It seems to be your birthday today, Happy Birthday! Are you going to celebrate it with everyone in HE★VENS by playing baseball or something? Van: Thanks! They did at least let me play catch ball with them before. You wanna join in and play?
<Cecil> Cecil: I wish you a Happy Birthday. Seeing your smile somehow warms me up! Van: Thank you for celebrating my birthday! I'll make sure to keep your heart and body warm with my happy aura!
<Reiji> Reiji: I heard that it's your birthday today, Happy Birthday! Let's get along well with each other as our own group's mood maker☆ Van: Thanks! I really appreciate it. It would be nice if we could go and practice together sometime.
<Ranmaru> Ranmaru: I just picked up a ball earlier, is it yours? If this is your birthday present, then you should make sure to keep it close with you. Van: Yeah, it's mine! Thanks! Anyway, I can't believe that you knew it was actually my birthday today. I'm so happy~!
<Ai> Ai: Happy Birthday. You don't seem to look like the oldest one in your group, and I mean it in a good way. Maybe that's part of your charms being a supporter of your group. Van: That's a pretty sharp analysis! Yeah, having a free-spirited guy like me around makes you feel a little bit at ease, doesn't it?
<Camus> Camus: I wish you a Happy Birthday. I hope that your birthday this year will be even more lively than usual. Van: Thank you for your thoughtful birthday wish! I may be a bit noisy, but please let it slide as I'm just sharing my happiness with you!
<Eiichi> Eiichi: Happy Birthday. Van's free-spirited way of thinking and behavior has really helped me out a lot. Thank you. Van: The reason why I can do whatever I want is because of you, Ei-chan. Thanks to you, I'm enjoying my life as an idol!
<Kira> Kira: Happy… Birthday. Van's… positive attitude. I think it's something… that we can't do without. Van: I'm also being pulled along by Kira-chan's enthusiasm! Thank you so much for everything.
<Nagi> Nagi: Happy Birthday~♪ Thank you for listening to all of Nagi's selfishness. I'm going to let myself get pampered a lot by you from now on☆ Van: Nagi-chan, you really are such a little devil! But you're cute, so I'll forgive you anything. Just keep your pranks to a minimum, okay?
<Eiji> Eiji: Happy Birthday, Van! Since I always rely on you, I'll be playing the straight man role for today! Van: Eh, but we already have one playing that role here! Though that's what's so funny about you. It's fine if you let me play the funny man role once in a while.
<Yamato> Yamato: Happy Birthday. You have your very own strength, you know? It's different than what I have, so having you around is really encouraging. Van: In terms of pure strength though, I'm no match for you, Yama-chan. But hearing you say that gives me confidence. Thank you!
<Shion> Shion: Blessings on the day of Van's birth. I can't help but envy you for never losing sight of your identity at any given time. Van: Thank you. I learned a lot of things from you too, Shii-chan. If you ever need help, you can count on me!
