Lynley: again, probably not if she didn't know it was safe, but also??? she might. you never know with her. Janessa: most likely not without knowing, but also if some berries looked really good, she'd probably give them a try. Kiera: again, pretty much all of these characters would be concerned about safety first and foremost, but, yeah, if she did know they were safe, she'd probably forage a few berries along a trail while she was walking. Gabrielle: her powers would tell her if they were safe so... potentially yeah? Steven: probably not?

Jack: next to one specific person lol that is the only correct answer Lynley: she's a romantic; she gets lost in beautiful sights easily Janessa: looking out over someplace open: the view from the top of a hill, standing on the edge of a lake, anywhere where everything is just wide and free and breathing. Kiera: anywhere; she can find the beauty in anything Gabrielle: any meaningful surge of emotion + a beautiful sight would probably get her lost pretty easily Steven: literally how dare you make me answer this for him. is there even a correct answer? HONESTLY I think it's less about the place and more about the moment itself?? being with people he cares about & enjoying his time with them.

The C-Word//The Adventure Of The Dying Detective

Rewatching the magnificent Brett made me reread the Dying Detective and that reminded me of the C-Word situation and I realized how similar they are in some scenes and got all emotional...

("I'd feel like I deserved it" paralleled to "Let it be someone in whom I have confidence" aren't too similar but they are two quite hurtful things the sick one says in anger so yeah)

I've been picking mostly only the essential flirt options with lucanis in the romance so far (I've personally found the dynamic much more natural and mutual when you do that, more like forming a solid friendship slowly and inevitably becoming something else and less like you keep pushing on him and getting little back b/c he seemingly just gets overwhelmed and goes into freeze instead), and I think rye is a pretty hard person to read at the best of times even though he's been Down Real Bad from pretty early on and their chemistry as people is naturally really good. so the way the almost-kiss plays out in this playthrough feels a lot like it has the added layer of lucanis realizing that no but for sure rook is flirting and not just being kind or a good friend* it IS actually happening it's not just wishful/fearful thinking!!! and then uh. maybe going a bit too hard a bit too fast in all the excitement at that revelation haha

*in lucanis' defense he has seemingly literally never had a friend who wasn't his cousin-brother before, under those circumstances I suppose some confusion is extremely natural if not outright expected lmao

still thinking about the org picking mitch to do the puck drop on hall of fame night when their newly named captain was out of the lineup... saw so many people trying to discredit it and say it means nothing and he was just the only leadership member on the ice in the starting lineup but that's a choice too and him getting a text he was gonna be the one to do it.............. after looking up to these guys getting inducted..... after the years he's put in to this team on and off the ice....... we all got to get really emo about auston's growth this summer and finally being named the c, but mitch has really been right there with him in terms of that, and it makes me so happy that the org feels that way too. it gets so frustrating to see his effort be boiled down to him buying or blackmailing his way into meaning something like he hasn't been one of or the best and most consistent player we have a lot of years. like it's something he deserves... this current leadership core is gonna stay the same way it is for a while probably but it makes me feel good to hear and see his leadership like that. anywY.

something i like to imagine sometimes is that alan's creations are... him, in a way. tiny little shards of a full person that broke off in creation, giving them life. breathing life into them.

and despite that, they still have individuality. they're their own people, their personalities starting out were just akin to small little facets in alan's mind.

but the little pieces taken from him were so small, that there was no change. Like dipping an empty glass into an ocean. The amount taken isn't enough to really damage the ocean.

this kind of ties into my headcanon of humans being outer eldritch gods compared to sticks, so different and vast compared to them. so distant and far that in a lot of cases, humans don't even realize that sticks are people too. alan's just a special case cause he realized. anyways thank you for listening :3
