if you want people to get into the canon comics and lead everyone away from fanon misinterpretation (which is a losing battle because there will ALWAYS be this) then why not be helpful instead of being a dick about it 🤨

the comics are hard to get into because it's hard to know where to start, and there's so much content that people are able to fill themselves in by reading fanfic or watching something on tiktok or seeing posts about it on here. perhaps instead of telling people they're stupid for not realizing your favorite character is being mishandled by others, you could write up a list of your favorite comics and/or how, if you could read them for the first time again, you would order your favorite comics to get the best reading experience. and also write your own fanfiction and draw your own fanart or make a passionate post, answer questions politely

Happy turkey day to those that celebrate, I’m thinking about Steve who has absent, borderline neglectful parents but THAT’S ACTUALLY OKAY it’s actually perfect on holidays because Steve’s pretty extroverted and probably has a large group of friends extending from close to “we’re on the same basketball team and Steve will high five your face if you don’t get your hand up fast enough”

so really all he’s gotta do it bat those puppy eyes at some unsuspecting mom and BAM invited to holiday dinner. He probably does rounds, and thankfully he has teenage boy metabolism because he probably manages to fit 7 different moms’ dinner in in one day

And sure, after he graduates he’s not sure if it’s good manners to show up at old teammates’ doorsteps. BUT THEN Mrs. Henderson looks at him mid-November and totally claims him for the day where she’s hosting her brother’s family too. Except Dustin brags to Lucas and Lucas gets jealous so Steve then also has to show up at the Sinclair’s in the evening. Max is already there so Steve drives her home that night with leftovers. (Mike is very secretly butthurt about all of this and is really nasty to Nancy the weeks of thanksgiving and Christmas.)

(Robin’s family doesn’t DO thanksgiving but instead goes camping for the week. Robin hates this, and they wouldn’t let Steve join them even though he had his own tent so she hates it MORE. She tries to mutiny but her mom gives her these sad teary eyes and cries about Robin growing up too fast and robin’s fate is sealed. She and Steve instead have their own tradition of movies and junk food the weekend after, so Robin gets reintroduced real food again. So while Buckley’s aren’t on the thanksgiving rotation, Robin gets special Christmas privileges and Steve stays over on Christmas Eve.)

So by the time Eddie is in the picture, Steve already has standing expectations for his presence that’s not just a drive-by plate cleaning, and he’s kinda sad, he and Wayne don’t usually do much and Wayne has to work usually. But actually how dare he be sad, because Steve’s like “🤨 you’re coming too, stupid” and he Eddie and max go to each house like trick or treaters but for turkey.

Then Steve gets close with Eddie’s friends and they have to start splitting holidays like children of divorce.

One time Steve gets it in his head to hold friends giving the week before. He never does it again.

Lloyd is not the Green Ninja. He has never been the Green Ninja, and should never become the Green Ninja. Nothing against Green Ninjas, but the team has been without a Green Ninja for 10+ years. We grew up with Lloyd and why would we let them change him for no reason? The writers should just create a new character to be the Green Ninja, not ruin one of the best Lego characters in history. I'm so serious. This man played a huge rule in Trump getting reelected and his influence over that dementia-ridden sack of shit is so obvious that people are calling him "President Elon."

Fortunately, Elon Musk is also incredibly thin-skinned, desperate for attention and approval, and the type of person who reads every tweet that mentions him. He is so chronically online that he willingly chooses to expose himself to Discourse and cyberbullying even though he has every opportunity to just fuck off to Tahiti and never worry about anything again.

Make fun of his hairline. Make fun of how his kids hate him. Tell him how unfunny his 2012 Reddit humor is. Really study what gets under his skin and sling the most hurtfully accurate insults at him. Tumblr users are some of the most vicious and funny people out there so I know you can do it.

Chloe had potential for a redemption arch her finding the bee miraculous could've set her on a path where she could have shown more debth a softer side. But they doubled down and i too mourn the loss of potential but chloe as she is in canon doesnt deserve shit

I will concede that the puzzle pieces for a possible Redemption Arc are in the show - abuse mom and over indulgent dad make for a very clear picture of why Chloe is the way she is, and then a huge dynamic shift by introducing super powers into the mix could've been a good starting point for...something. I agree there's potential here.

But what happened in canon wasn't Chloe making changes, it was the people around her changing how they looked at her (as well as the audience). Chloe didn't change herself and the pity she garnered just made her even more entitled when the characters started making more concessions for her, like giving her a Miraculous or throwing her a party or not punishing her for ruining a birthday gift, etc.

I'll agree with people mourning the wasted potential, but I disagree with people who think Chloe's Redemption Arc was active in the show and then ruined, because I don't think it ever started.

If i’m being honest i don’t really like im gonna say half of the helluva boss/ hazbin hotel songs. I only ever really listen to like 5 songs on the entire combined soundtrack. So i was very pleasantly suprised when i heard loser, baby for the first time. It’s not only a very good song, but the dynamic that it creates between angel dust and husk is very wholesome and sweet. Beyond that the song is just really comforting, and it has quickly become one of my favorite songs.

You ever think about how the knights would react to Merlins magic reveal - they are the knights of the roundtable, and proud of it too, because they earned that title, have fought many battles and won, and „there‘s a reason, i‘m a camelot knight“- and then, that reason is just.. Merlin.

But in the RadioApple/DuckieDeer fandom a lot of those making fanwork, including the smuttier stuff, are acespec/arospec themselves so maybe learn what is actually going on in these fandoms before try to gatekeep in their tags
