I imagined Dream asking Quackity to give him some personal Spanish lessons, so he can say more things, work on his accent and pronunciation, ext. It starts out well, both being genuine, Quackity being patient if Dream gets something wrong. Eventually Quackity starts poking fun at the way Dream says certain things as he does a few laps in frustration. At some point he gets tired of it and jumps into older brother mode, walking up behind Quackity, yanking his beanie as far down as he can, and rapid fire poking everywhere he can reach before he blocks it. Back, sides, ribs, neck, ext. His favorite part is his panicked giggles, the questions/attempted bargaining, and his terrified giggles at the teasing he does in his ear that he can't see

the trope of quackity hiding / being stuck with his beanie over his eyes is one of my favorite tropes recently. it's just....so good

the dream team are super quick to pick up things but george is clearly the fastest at learning spanish. quackity agrees to help dream, knowing he is trying his hardest to cram everything he can into his brain but he just.....isn't retaining anything

but he is retaining a lot! he knows enough to tell quackity off in spanish, and he swears that's all he really needs anyway, but quackity isn't having any of it. he's poking dream every time he gets a word wrong. every pronunciation wrong, he gets a poke. any wrong spelling, he gets a poke. whole sentence wrong? quick little spidery tks on his tummy. dream is bright pink and quackity is loving it

eventually though quackity makes the fatal mistake of turning his back to dream, and that's when he lunges forward after the smaller boy. and quackity just lets out this shriek, not understanding why he suddenly couldn't see until his hands felt the soft material of his beanie pulled down to the tip of his nose. he's about to curse dream out (in spanish by the way) when he feels rapid pokes into his sides and ribs, and quackity just loses it

dreams poking all over his torso, even managing to get some pokes under his arms when quackity reaches up to pull at his beanie. dream teases into his ear every so often, commenting about how sensitive quackity was or making a comment about a specific spot he was currently tormenting

he's poking against his back and quackity is pleading now, begging for dream to stop, trying to negotiate with dream like he was in some kind of hostage situation

"Plehehease let mehehe go!! I'll pahahay you!"

"You'll pay me?! Whahahat?!"

"Yehehehes!!! I'll dohoho anything, plehehease!"

but dream just laughs at him and continues the tkling anyways, because he's having fun and quackity deserves it anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(it turns out though, the next lesson quackity decides to give him is focused on anatomy, and he decides to introduce the spanish word for "tk" the same lesson.......)

having good & true friends will literally save and protect you in a million unfathomable ways. like okay we have written so many times about lovers. but the way a platonic friend laughs and cries with you. the way they hold your hand at 14 years old and at 34. the way they keep a little silver tie to you, touching base over and over and over. how you can go years without talking, only to re-meet and discover: oh shit! you're still cool!

there are people who have been in my life for more than half of it, and i have loved every version of them. do you know how fucking beautiful that is. yeah love will save the world. but the way friends love you is gonna save the you.

Hot take and not to be a killjoy or the shipping police but people treating Viktor or Jinx's aroace headcanons as if they were canon is not the revolutionary take people think it is.

Headcanons are always all right but we have to acknowledge that they are somehow damaging when they apply to stereotypes. It might not be the case for everyone but most of the time people unconsciously assume that disability/mental illness=asexuality. These headcanons erase the freedom of attraction from people who are already seen as unable to have sexual/romantic experiences/desires, when it's completely untrue and harmful.

You can headcanon Viktor and Jinx as aroace, but I have seen people changing their minds once Viktor is no longer disabled (s2 with all of his other forms) and Jinx is no longer as mentally ill (alternate universe Powder). And it speaks wonders of how people see these characters.

"I never thought about Jinx being able to feel romantic/sexual attraction until s2!" To believe she's actually only capable of that when she's not "damaged" is incredibly disturbing. Especially since Jinx has always had a bit of a flirty personality too.

"I've always seen Viktor as asexual, I don't know why!" That's fine. You can headcanon him as ace. But I believe there is a reason behind it, most of the time, if for some inexplicable reason the "vibes" of the disabled character are making you think he's ace.

I say all of this being aroaspec myself, by the way. Headcanon all you want but going to people's posts commenting how "it's weird for you that they have romantic/sexual plots when they're clearly aroace" is not a win at all. It's a headcanon, after all, and it should be treated as such, and that's fine. But it also is damaging to spread stereotypes like these.

Of course the disabled character is asexual. Of course the mentally ill character is aromantic. It's not as revolutionary as you might think, tbh.

Fandom is not activism and it's all right to have any headcanons you want BUT some of them are filled with damaging stuff and perhaps we should look into ourselves more before treating these assumptions as something canon.
