Forest Keepers au <3

So, as the poll decided, you guys wanted to know more about the forest keepers au first! (Though it took me a tiny bit to get to it, my apologies)

I will put the lore and info under the cut :)

Here we go:

So this au is based in the times when witches were hunted and killed. And its also in a fantasy-ish world. There's a lot of magical stuff :)

Tsunagu is a healer who got found out to be a witch, chased out of his village and threatened.

He managed to disappear into the forest and build himself a life there, being protected by the forest and living in a small safe cottage.

As years pass, he takes to healing animals and taking them in. (he doesn't feel safe around humans but he's always happy around animals and the forest)

The animals that decided to stay with him/around the cottage are a hawk, a rabbit, a small black cat, more cats, and a few others.

What Tsunagu doesn't know is that he is actually the reincarnation of an ancient Forest Guardian/Deity - and that his magic, and ability to connect to the forest is a lot stronger than he realises.

He just thinks he is a basic little witch who is good with herbs and healing.

One day, he stumbles across an injured fox while out in the forest and immediately takes it back to help it.

The fox is hesitant at first but seems to calm down as soon as Tsunagu picks it up. Tsu heals the fox, and lets it stay for a few days.

Once the fox is healed, he leaves and Tsunagu goes back to his usual everyday life.

Then, about a month later, that fox shows up at his door with a little scarf full of herbs and special plants that Tsunagu had mentioned he couldn't get easily as they were in the village.

This becomes a routine, every month, the fox comes with special gifts. Until one time he doesn't.

Night falls and Tsunagu is worried, so he leaves and goes to try and find the fox. He sees some royal guards riding out of the forest on horses and gets even more concerned.

After hours, he gives up and goes home, only to find that his door was open (:o who could that be)

Worried about his animals, he rushes in with his knife in hand and is greeted by a silver-haired figure, who was dressed a lot like a hunter.

Cue panicked meeting and misunderstanding, while Tsunagu yells and throws objects in a panic. This is until the person hands him a little red bandana full of herbs and spices and gestures at a wound he had obtained.

Tsunagu, though now concerned his little fox was hunted, still tends to him and heals him.

Shinya is a forest spirit and a caretaker of other forest spirits. He disguises as a fox in front of humans, and travels from forest to forest, to visit other forest spirits and make sure they are okay.

He was tasked by the original forest guardian to stay a keeper of the forest, and knew Tsunagu was the one after he helped him.

So, cue like a few weeks passing and explanations being made and all that.

Shinya tells Tsunagu he must come with him on a journey to awaken his stronger forest magic, and so they head off on a lil journey!! And Tsunagu learns that he can heal forest spirits!!

They are joined by a certain band of other forest spirits- (miruko, hawks, aizawa, kuugo and uwabami) Tsunagu finds out that most of his animals were all special spirits all along and that is why they stayed with him.

Adventures and shenanigans ensue, and Tsunagu learns about his magic!!!

After they return home, Tsunagu and Shinya become the Forest Keepers that they used to be many years ago :)

And well- not much changes. They get to live a peaceful life, except now they look after the magical creatures more often and take trips to other forests every now and then!!

-some fun lil facts-

Tsunagu has so many different hats. So many. But his favourites are his lil witchy hat and his mushroom forest hat :)

His main mushroom hat actually has a tiny magical version of his forest that sits on top of it. Only the forest spirits, animals and him can see it, though.

He grows a lot of mushrooms.

There are a few other Forest Spirit Caretakers (or forest keepers), like Shinya, and they are all part of like. A small group that come together every now and then to discuss spirit and magic stuff. They are appointed in different forests around the world.

Forest Spirits come in so many different shapes and figures, some being mythical and grand, some being normal animals, and some not even being animals.

Shinya is a grey fox, and the ends of his tail and tummy have magical patterned fur that can only really be seen if you're looking for it.

(same with other spirits, they have signs that give it away)

His human form has slightly pointed ears and sharp eyes, and if he gets excited or isn't thinking, his fox ears and/or tail can pop out.

He loves mushrooms.

They have matching scarfs and Tsunagu made Shinya a special one that shrinks with his fox form.

Jin: He tries to be nonchalant and acts like it’s not a big deal, but you can tell he’s actually super nervous. Sticks to his side of the bed and tries to just go to sleep, but after a bit, you both realize that you’re still wide awake and end up kinda laughing about the whole thing. You end up talking for a while until you both fall asleep. Wakes up the next morning still curled towards you, just watching you for a bit until you start to stir and then pretends to still be asleep(but fails bc you can see his ears turning red)

Yoongi: There’s definitely some initial awkwardness, he tries offering to just take the couch or the floor, but you won’t hear of it. Once you're both in the bed and settled on your respective sides, he relaxes surprisingly quickly. It feels really natural and almost normal in a way? Like why haven't you been doing this already? He ends up sleeping better than he has in weeks, breaking into a tiny grin as soon as he wakes up and catches sight of you sleeping peacefully next to him.

Hobi: He’s soo fucking nervous, he almost falls of the bed because he’s stuck soo close to the edge of the mattress, not wanting to make you feel crowded or uncomfortable. Calms down a bit after you let him know that you’re alright and that you don’t mind being in close quarters with him. Freaks out a lil when he wakes up wrapped around you, but he doesn’t dare move at first until you shift closer, slipping an arm around him as well and making his heart almost explode with happiness.

Namjoon: Tries to be chill and remind himself that it’s not really a big deal, but he can’t help freaking out just a lil bit inside. Sticks to his side of the bed and tries not to move too much to avoid bothering you. Wakes up in the middle of the night to you tucking yourself against his side for warmth, making him absolutely melt inside, instinctively wrapping a protective arm around you. The two of you wake up in the morning completely tangled together, but neither of you are willing to be the first to pull away.

Jimin: He tries so hard to be a gentleman about it, offering to sleep on the floor, keeping to the farthest edge of the mattress from you. You’d almost think he hates you from the way he’s acting, but nothing could be farther from the truth, he’s just desperate to avoid making you uncomfortable. Somehow still ends up waking up spooning you and tries to scooch away before you realize, but when you whine and snuggle closer to him, his brain just fritzes out and he can’t help pulling you closer, burying his face in your neck.

Taehyung: Has the biggest, shit-eating grin on his face, teasing you the whole time you’re both getting ready for bed. Until you actually get in the bed, and then he suddenly turns shy, flustered at how cute and cozy you look and hyper aware of your warmth radiating from your side of the bed. He’s a cuddly sleeper, so he winds up gravitating towards you during the night. Realizes waking up next to you is how he wants to wake up for the rest of his life, and starts trying to plan the right way to tell you so.

Jungkook: He acts super chill about it, making lil jokes left and right, but on the inside he is screaming. He legitimately doesn’t know how to act; should he face away, or will that come off as cold and rude? But what if you think he’s trying to put the moves on you if he faces towards you?! His anxiety disappears tho the moment you roll over during the night and cuddle into his side. When you wake up in the morning, you get a lil shy about hugging him in your sleep, but he’s just grinning like an idiot and kisses you on the cheek, saying that he didn’t mind at all.

Hmmm another character I think would be fun to write for a soft fluffy shower scenario would be Beel, Mammon or Levi!!!

I imagine Beel's quite happy and delighted when he gets to pat you down with a towel and occasionally eat the toothpaste when it's time to get ready for bed, which is cute and soft!!! He's just a fluffy man!!! He wants to be drowned in that domestic love for sure!!! He likes ruffling your hair down with a towel and drying you off in his lap after a nice hot shower.

I can imagine he's too big and bulky to move efficiently out of the way of the showerhead so usually the water cascades all over him and barely on you. But don't worry!!! He'll just rub all the water on him back onto you when he's got you against the wall.

Mammon would be interesting because he's super bashful but he doesn't turn his nose up at the chance to bathe with MC, he's a lil nervous and doesn't exactly know where to glue his eyes or where to rub you down with bodywash because he keeps getting distracted by how pretty and sweet MC looks like this, but he's got the right spirit!

Eventually I imagine he gets quite comfortable rubbing MC down with soap while humming to himself, he seems so blissful he keeps lathering more soap onto you no matter how many times he's already done it. He just likes being able to touch you and be there with you, he likes when you let him take care of you and of course he loves it when you wash his hair out with him! I imagine he loves a mixture of baths and showers.

Levi's also quite sweet because I can imagine he's so shy! Poor guy doesn't know what to do in such a scenario!!! He wants to enjoy this intimate moment with MC in the bath so bad but he's so fidgety and blushy he can barely put his hands on you without overthinking it. He lets you wash his back even when he squirms around from the touch, the water swirls everywhere and eventually he's the one sitting between your legs so he can hide away that blush on his cheeks.

It stays that way regardless of how much time has passed, he's always thankful to have such an angel taking care of him in such a vulnerable state :,,,((( Eventually I'd say he becomes quite cozy staring at you! His eyes always linger in places they shouldn't and his cheeks erupt into fire when he figures out that MC does not at all mind when he lets his eyes and mind wander.

An honourable mention I'd say would be interesting to write for is Solomon!

His pact marks are everywhere and he likes when MC scrubs down his marks in exchange for your's. When he smoothes his hands over the marks on your skin with soap he feels strangely calm, he likes how when it's just skin to skin, the both of you aren't so different afterall. Stripped down to the barest parts of you, MC is almost like him. Human! With the help of a few demons.

Oooo, all of these are definitely worthy contenders! I definitely wanna write the full versions w/ allllll of them, and have some pretty devious ideas about each. Your honorable mention of Solomon has inspired quite a few ideas that I'll have to keep in mind 😈

This was a bit of an insane project! I decided to draw all the designs from the various official arts we have gotten over the years. A bit of an archiving project! I tried to make them as accurate as possible. It involved a lot of guesswork tho, since most of them don′t show the full designs. Let′s just say that only 5 of these (and I mean five figures, not design sets lmao) show any kinds of shoes.

I do love seeing the design elements that carry over between the designs tho. Ququ is a cold boy and has to have some kind of fur or a scarf. Feng-er doesn′t want a speck of dirt to touch him and prefers high collars and bracers and high boots (the boots ARE book canon tho). I also love that there′s only three designs that have Ququ wear some kind of crown, the rest is just ribbons or nothing at all, despite the jade crown being mentioned at least once. Like no, we want the boy to be cozy and prevent headaches...!

Please tell me which designs are your favourite! Mine is the official manhua design, mostly because it′s honestly such a smart design, especially Ququ. Like you can tell the artist looked at Ququ and his specific disabilities and worked from there. Besides the hair ribbon, my favourite small detail is the arm warmers that look like compression gloves used for arthritis 🥹 That one means so much to me. Also the difference in layers between Ququ (I′m cold) and Feng-er (ew no dirt touch me ew). It′s just. So nice 🥹♥️

Don′t feel like Fengcuis to me. Like I would′ve learned to love them but I′d never exchange them for the main ones we got. Plus the character designs changed between all the panels, so trying to chase down a specific design was hell. I′m glad Ququ showed up only in one panel so I didn′t have to do that again lmaoo

The designs from the official manhua- I already explained above why I love them so much. Just. These are THE designs for me. I see these little guys and my heart goes doki doki. If (when) I make lil standees, I′ll very probably use these

Designs from the covers of the traditional edition- these designs are pretty unique while still feeling in character, which is cool! Ququ is such a fancy lil lad here. And I′m obsessed with his... frog? Mousie? Front clasp. I made it a little fox because of course I did

Design from the 1st cover of the simplified edition- I don′t have that much to say about these honestly except that they′re very pretty. I love that Feng-er′s top robe is sheer and I love the silver embroidery, even if it took me some time to figure out how tf to draw it

Design from the 2st cover (Ququ) and 3rd cover (Feng-er) of the simplified edition- that Ququ design drives me crazy. He looks so soft and cozy, you wouldn′t guess that this is the meanest most repressed bitchiest man in all of ye olde Sui dynasty. I want to squeeze him. Cute agression overload. Meanwhile I couldn′t figure out what Feng-er′s belt and hem was doing pattern wise so I just winged it lol.

Fengcuis cosplaying a married couple with designs from the Thai vol. 1+2 freebie- God. Funniest arc in the entire book. They′re insane. They′re perfect for each other. Peerlessly matched. One day I′ll draw more of unhinged wife Feng-er because seriously. Their idea of heterosexual marriage is SO funny. They′re so real for that. And the og chibi designs are SO cute. Audio drama designs from first half of season 1- These are so funny bcs the difference of the designs is like. Main covers: beautiful and ethereal. Minisode covers: Ququ is A Tube with a head on top. Slappy fights. Beautiful. No notes. TubeQu is a god′s perfect creature

Audio drama designs from second half of season 1- I said it before but these just feel too generic to be properly them. While drawing them they did kinda grow on me, at least Feng-er, since his expression is kinda perfectly smug. Im still ehhh on the Ququ tho. He′d look better without the crown.

Designs from Thai covers 1+2- oh man lol the thai covers. I was joking that I could not save the Feng-er, but he did grow on me. It might be that he looks proper manic with the chibi base I drew 😂 But he′d look so much cuter with bangs. Idk why the artist did him like this. Meanwhile Ququ is the most beautiful man alive. I mean it′s what he deserves, but it′s still very funny. Also LOVE how big and fluffy his collar is.

STOPPP I LITERALLY HAVE A TOKYO MEW MEW AU FOR LIKE A BUNCH OF CHARACTERS AND THEY'RE IN IT LOL BUT THIS NEEDS SOME REWORKING UH

first off, the cast. XY is Kisshu. he has to be. not because of any choice opinions on how to treat a lady or anything but because they're both the little shit who has given me gender envy. AQ is Pudding because look at them. enough said. also ever since i was a kid i was obsessed with the idea of Kisshu and Pudding having a sibling banter bond and i was robbed. i suppose XXC would be the obvious protagonist so Ichigo? I only say this bc I really REALLY WANT SL TO BE DEEP BLUE LMAOOO THAT HAIR!!!!!!! SL is in his villain era now

That aside, obviously it's not all 1:1. I still want to make AQ a monkey girl because that's too cute, but she fights with a staff! The cafe, which in this would be run by XXC himself (inherited it and the research from BSSR?) is less cutesy because they don't need to lure in teenage girls, but it's still a cozy and traditional place where you can rent out hanfu for the day or something adorable like that. Still 100% a front for a secret lab though. XXC's animal would be a great white heron, he'd get majestic wings and a flowy outfit that would still allow him to fight (and fly)! Since it's sort of lame to just have 2 animal people I sort of want SL to also be an animal person (a human-alien hybrid thing who is now also an animal person... save some for the rest of us), so he'd be a leopard >:) XY is just a cute lil alien showing his midriff and fucking around and waiting for his Great Leader to wake the fuck up so everyone can go home and he can kill every human on earth

XY's reason for hating humans, aside from the fact they stole his homeland and poisoned it, is that he was captured as an infant on a recon mission and terribly experimented on. that same recon mission resulted in the death of BSSR and SL's adoptive parents, who were working with her on her alien research. however, they were not the ones to cut this poor boy open, but it doesn't matter. All Scientists Must Die and all humans too.

XXC took AQ off the streets where she was performing for cash and had been doing so for years, he's trying to get her paperwork in order so she can go to school properly. she has no family save for him. they met on a rainy day, where XXC got in an accident trying to prevent AQ from suffering the same fate. she took him to the hospital and stayed by his side and they've been inseparable ever since. XXC never intended for her to get infused with animal DNA, as he wanted this to be a solo thing (it's XXC, he's self sacrificial to a fault), but the machine malfunctioned and she got caught in the blast. she's fine with this, as she would do anything to make XXC happy, even if she hates dealing with customers at the cafe and prefers to be the bookkeeper.

SL was also caught in the blast, as he was visiting the cafe to try and return a book to XXC. they both take the same environmentalism course at uni!! SL is unaware of his adoptive parents' work (until the story conveniently reveals it to him) and only knows they were researching the environment, so he's very studious and dedicated, serious and passionate, so their memory can live on and he can make them proud. but also he just loves nature. he's also unaware of the Darkness Inside Him though he has scary dreams sometimes. XXC is at first horrified to get him involved, but soon loves having him by his side; they train together and uncover more of their parents' research while fighting big weird aliens. XXC has been so alone ever since his mother's passing, putting on a brave face for everyone and trying to keep his spirits high, but AQ and SL becoming important parts of his life has been a balm for his soul. but then XY is there outside his window at 3 AM demanding they throw knives at each other until someone dies or some shit so his studies are falling behind a little bit lmao

as a fun extra, in the original massive AU with a bunch of non Yi City characters, XY was split into two (as i tend to do) and one was Kisshu and the other was Ichigo. think of XY in fun lil strawberry shorts and with the whole cat getup. it was great

Just a short lil drabble I typed up, dedicated to @shadyteacup for trying to help me with recovering my past fics, thanks Minnie! No warnings! Reader has prophetic(sorta?) dreams, but is unaware of it. Dazai is a little shit, as always. Slightly suggestive.

You don’t know if you want to punch him or just leave the cafe. Briefly, you consider the third option of just pouring your remaining coffee on him, but decide against it, caring too much about your precious coffee to spill it.

“You know, I had a dream about you last night.” You remark casually, taking an idle sip from your cup.

“Definitely needs more sugar.” You think.

He seems to perk up at this, leaning in to what would be too close for comfort had he been anyone else, and then waggles his eyebrows suggestively.

“Oh? And what sort of naughty things were you dreaming up?” He says a smirk playing on his lips.

You roll your eyes at his antics, ignoring the slight blush you feel rising up and reach for a sugar packet.

“Not like that, and not ever.” You say glaring at him, tearing your packet open a bit more viciously than necessary. “Get your mind out of the gutter.”

He leans back pouting. 

“Not ever?”

You decide to ignore him in favor of killing your own embarrassment, and continue on with your original topic, stirring in your sugar whilst you think back on your dream.

“Anyways, it seemed weirdly realistic, like that dream I had about that tiger. Like the same feeling of witnessing something while lucid.”

“...Yeah? What happened?”

“Nothing too crazy, it was just you at a bar talking to a man with auburn colored hair and a stubble… you guys seemed close. The bar seemed cozy, dimly lit, and you were drinking… whiskey? I think. You had bandages on your face and you were wearing a black coat.”

You pause, unaware of the way the man next to you stiffened at your words, continuing to stir your coffee rather absentmindedly.

“Actually come to think of it, I thought it was strange that the stubbled man was wearing your coat… but that’s neither here nor there.”

You ramble.

“I couldn’t make out what the conversation was, but you guys seemed happy. Well the auburn haired man and you were. There was another one, he had glasses and black hair, looked annoyed with you both… but… I think he was happy too deep down.”

“That so?” Dazai mutters, seemingly lost in thought.

“I’m not sure why… I just got the feeling that you were all very close. Like it was some precious moment to be cherished.” 

You pause again, taking a sip of your coffee. 

Just right.

“I dunno, I guess that’s why I felt like I had to tell you. Because it seemed so important, even if it was just a dream.” You finish, turning over to him, only to see a strange look on his face.

Nostalgic maybe? Almost pained, if you didn’t know any better.

You give him a slightly concerned look. 

“...Uh, are you okay?”

Dazai lowers his head, making you feel even more concerned.

“Okay…” He murmurs, making you furrow your eyebrows in worry.

Worried, at least, until he dramatically throws his head back, making you jerk in surprise.

“Okay?! How could I possibly be okay? A cute girl dreams of me and she’s only focused on other men?!”

…

“What.”

“Tell me, (Name), what am I lacking? What can I do to make you only see me?!” He practically begs, clasping your free hand in both of his, making the waitress glance over at you both amusedly.

You don’t know if you want to punch him or just leave the cafe.

The chilly autumn air wrapped around Y/n and Wilbur as they strolled along the cobblestone streets. It was their third anniversary, a special day to remember. They had a plan for a fancy dinner at a posh restaurant where they had their first date – a place filled with beautiful memories.

But right when they were almost at the restaurant, they saw a sign hanging on the door that said, "CLOSED FOR RENOVATION."

Y/n's face showed a mix of disappointment and surprise. "Oh no, what do we do now?"

Wilbur scratched his head, grinning a bit nervously. "Well, we might have to go with a plan B. How about we head to McDonald's?" he suggested.

Y/n looked at him, her eyes filled with curiosity. "McDonald's for our special dinner?"

Wilbur chuckled, his blue eyes crinkling in the corners. "I know it's not as fancy as the other place, but it's about us, right? As long as we have fun and enjoy the evening, does it really matter where we are?"

Y/n's heart swelled with affection for Wilbur. "You're absolutely right," she said, giving his hand a loving squeeze. "Let's go to McDonald's."

They walked over to the nearby McDonald's, giggling and talking along the way. Inside, they ordered their favorite meals and found a cozy spot to sit. The restaurant's bright lights and the busy atmosphere didn't bother them.

As they shared fries and stories, Y/n felt her love for Wilbur grow stronger. It didn't matter where they were; what mattered was the person sitting across from her, the one who had been with her through thick and thin, the one who made every moment special.

Wilbur couldn't stop looking at Y/n, his heart overflowing with love. He reached over and held her face gently, gazing into her eyes. "I love you, Y/n," he whispered, his voice full of sincerity.

Tears of happiness welled up in Y/n's eyes as she replied, "I love you too, Wilbur. This is the best anniversary ever, just because I'm with you."

They sealed their words with a sweet, lingering kiss, unaware of the world bustling around them. It might not have been the dinner they had planned, but it was a celebration of their love and the wonderful years they had spent together.

As they left McDonald's, hand in hand, the moonlight bathed the streets in a romantic glow. They discovered that it wasn't the fancy place that made their anniversary special; it was the love and connection they shared.

ok so yes i did a masterlist of my fav fics of 2021/2022 but i wanted to end the year w some fics from 2021/2022 that, in my opinion, are underrated! as a smaller writer, i know how discouraging it can be to see lots of popular writers/fics on everyones’ lists all the time, but never see yours. & that’s no one’s fault! but i wanted to balance it all out a bit w this. just a friendly reminder that not getting many hits, kudos, comments, etc is not an indicator of your talent !!! write something because you want to & it makes you happy -- you’ll find your audience along the way!

ok so yes i also betaed this fic bc annika is wonderful to work w but i genuinely recommend this one as well. the psychology major in me is obsessed w the dark & twisted plot twists & the ending. i loathe miscommunication used as a plot device (in some fics, it’s understandable, in others it’s used an excuse to create unnecessary angst, but. i digress) & i cannot tell you how relieved i was when i saw that there was an opening to use miscommunication to create more angst & annika instead decided to throw in communication that was healthy yet understandably withdrawn. the bittersweet ending always gets me conflicted bc like i want a happy ending??? but it’s so good & absolutely makes sense for the fic??? i could go on forever.

The whole world was warm. Warm and soft and peaceful. A soft, dim light peaked through the curtains but Peter 2 didn't mind. A soft click of the door let him know that one of his younger brothers had entered the room, but he wasn't aware enough yet to even consider getting up. Yep, this was a good way to start the weekend.

Gentle fingers started scratching up and down his back, making him smile and hum in approval. Just as he was on the edge of falling back asleep, he flinched slightly as Peter Three's fingers moved to brush over his side. He tried to stay still, not wanting the moment to end, but the teasing gentleness was simply maddening. He hummed in play annoyance and angled slightly away but Peter 3 just adjusted with him.

"Ohhh no you're asking for it now!"

Poor Peter 3 was already in hysterics, his happy laughter bouncing around the room.

"No no I think you're trying to get something," said Peter 2, smirking at the other, "So how about you fess up and tell me what's got you going today, huh?"

"You sure about that, buddy?" Peter 2 started slowly walking his fingers up Three's sides, slowing down even more as he neared his giggling brother's ribs.

Peter Three's eyes grew wide in anticipation and horror as he realized what was about to happen. He bit his lip in a failed attempt to try and hide his smile.

"Don't you dare, old man."

Peter Two's smile grew till his eyes were crinkled up in the corners as he gently laughed at his brother.

"So THATS what you wanted, huh? Very well then!"

And with that, Peter 2 struck, wiggling and squeezing his fingers right into Three's ribs making him let out a shriek and fall into loud, bubbly laughter.

"WAIT! Not theHEHRE NAHAAHAHAHAH! PETER!"

"Nono, you brought this on yourself young man!"

Peter 3 squeezed his eyes shut and turned onto his side halfheartedly trying to escape the tickles, wheezing and giggling as he weakly pushed at Two's hands. His strength was failing him quickly as Peter 2 relentlessly played at his ribs.

"This what you were trying to get? You just wanted some tickles?"

Peter 3 shook his head in between silent giggles, now just holding on to Two's hands and no longer trying to push them away.

"Well? What'd you want huh? You gonna talk lil buddy?" Peter 2 stopped to give him a break, but kept his hands resting on the other's ribs just in case he needed some encouragement.

After a few moments of Peter 3 gulping down air and getting out the last of his giggles, he was still quite and almost uncharacteristically shy.

"Hey Pete, what's up? You know you can talk to me." Two was slightly worried something was wrong, but Three had seemed so happy just a couple moments ago.

"Nothing really. I mean- I just wanted to hang out with you today. You've been busy a lot lately."

Peter Two's face softened and he smiled gently at Peter 3.

"Aw buddy, I'm sorry! You could have said that, you didn't have to tickle me awake you know."

Peter 3 smiled smugly and shifted his weight under Peter 2, "Yeah, but it's more fun that way!"

Two's eyes narrowed glaring playfully down at him. He flexed his fingers against Peter Three's ribs and raised an eyebrow.

"Oh no," Peter 3 gulped and suddenly his rambunctious laughter was bouncing off the walls again. Peter 2 laughed with him, beaming down at his little brother. A good weekend indeed.
