🫂 ... how LAURIE WAGNER feels about hugs / physical affection.

laurie LOVES hugs ! they're very affectionate by nature & he tends to express excitement with physical affection, much to his family's chagrin. with romantic partners ( and amin especially ), he wants to have a point of contact with them at all times — keeping their pinkies interlocked across a table, a gentle touch to their elbow as he passes behind them, etc etc. it's like they have a gravity about them & laurie is far too weak to resist it.

🛏 ... what DIEGO DE LA ROSA'S bedroom looks like OR how they sleep.

diego sleeps like a fucking rock. once he's out, he's OUT. he usually sleeps on his back in a sort of starfish-like pose, with vero wrapped around him like an octopus on a piece of driftwood. his bedroom at home is quite tidy, all dark hardwood & mismatched cozy furniture, & he has a very careful way about taking care of his spaces ( spending so much time at sea in such tiny quarters means he cares very much about his spaces being clean & neat ). he's the kind of person to make his bed military-style, corners tucked and all that. 

🎙 ... OSIRIS QĀJĀR'S voice.

osiris's voice is very soft & tends to tremble a bit, as his body is quite weak. however, there is a calmness to the tremor, like a storm brewing, that makes him very intimidating. he has a bit of an egyptian accent due to growing up there. it's basically identical to rami's performance in no time to die ( click for example ! )

💄 ... how ROMEO PAZZI makes themselves look nice, if they do.

romeo cares a lot about his appearance, so much so that he can come off quite vain most of the time. he dresses very well & is frequently wearing a lot of jewelry. it's a sort of subtle obsessiveness with displaying wealth that he inherited from his father. you'd never know it if you had only seen him in public, but he has quite the mop of curls for hair. he spends about an hour each morning taming his curls into an acceptable state. however, on days where he can't be assed, he might pull it back with a fabric headband, or if it's gotten long enough, into a bun.

🎒 ... what MAX BOURBON carries with them on an everyday basis.

max doesn't usually have a whole lot with him. he kind of just fucks around & finds out every day. however, you might be able to find him carrying a book out to the gardens to read in the afternoons. or, if he's headed to train for a race, he's probably got a big bag with him with all his gear in it.

⭐️ ... any superstitions OTHELLO HASSINGER may have.

ott isn't very superstitious, but he does think the universe is actively trying to kill him, so he can be a bit of a paranoiac sometimes. avoiding situations that are even slightly risky, taking completely normal things as bad omens, things like that. also, he's catholic.

🔥 ... what CREDENCE WINDSOR is like when they're really angry.

credence effectively throws a temper tantrum whenever he's genuinely angry — throwing things and the like. he was a wall puncher as a teenager ( and probably now, honestly ). lots of yelling, lots of telling people to ' leave him the fuck alone. ' very destructive.

☀️ ... what YUICHI YAMOTO is like when they're happy.

yuichi is rarely happy these days, but when he's contented or satisfied ( which is more common ), you might be able to find him doing tai chi or smoking a cigar somewhere by himself. on the rare occasions where he is truly happy, though, he's got a pretty cute smile.

❤️ ... SASHA LUKIN'S love languages ( giving or receiving ).

sasha is so bad at both that it's kind of hard to pin down a concrete love language for either one. however, being the lil raccoon that he is, you might be able to classify him as a gift giver — if he has some reason to show someone he appreciates them ( or if he has something to apologize for ), he'll snatch something he thinks the person might like and give it to them with a lopsided smile. as for receiving ... i have a headcanon that he's quite touch starved & has a hard time accepting physical affection — he'll act disgusted by it & shove the intruder away. however ... baby boy actually really wouldn't mind a hug, from the right person, at the right time & place.

🕊 ... how SANTIAGO SILVA feels about marriage.

santi is technically still married to the wife he left behind. he still wears his wedding ring, but stubbornly does not talk about it whenever somebody dares to ask. he doesn't exactly consider himself married, but he wouldn't say he's available either. he has never loved another person & probably wouldn't be able to.

💧 ... what ALEKSEI MARKOV is like when they're sad.

aleksei is oftentimes mistaken by strangers as being a melancholy sort of person, but in reality, he's actually numb most of the time. when he comes back to himself, it's usually very sudden & overwhelming, & he's quickly overtaken by tidal waves of emotion. more often than not, this shocks him back into a dissociative state, but when he's able to endure it and remain present, the sadness tends to feel like drowning. he's usually bedridden from it & loses his appetite, as well as any and all will to do anything but rot in bed. it's not until he goes numb that he can drag himself into acting like a human again.

💧 ... what LAURIE WAGNER is like when they're sad.

laurie is not often deeply sad, but when they are, they tend to be entirely despondent, listlessly moping about the palace & squirreling off to the stables to tend to the horses to distract himself. it's not long before everybody knows it, too, since it's such a rare occasion; a prussian servant will oftentimes inform his family of his state out of concern. in related matter, it's not likely he'll stay that way for long, as someone from his family will turn up to see what the fuss is about & cheer him up. laurie is usually grateful for this, but sometimes rejects it, as it makes him feel as though he's being babied — sometimes he just wants to be sad & move through it by himself. ( but, more often than not, he'll seek out someone he loves & just request a hug. )

❤️ ... ALEKSEI MARKOV'S love languages ( giving or receiving ).

aleksei is not exactly the most expressive person in any capacity, especially when it comes to love. however, when he deeply cares about someone, he tends to show it through gifts — although not in the typical roses & diamonds kind of way. because of how his father raised him & his brothers, all aleksei knows in terms of what it means to be loved is pain, discipline, & most impactful upon him, SACRIFICE. it's the only way he knows how to show that someone is important to him: giving up a little part of himself. this tends to manifest in giving up something he wants for himself in to make them happy, such as offering them his own food, or allowing them to win a chess match against him. while these things seem small to others, they are a big deal in aleksei's book, simply because these are things he would never do under normal circumstances. as for receiving love, aleksei is terribly uncomfortable with it, & tends to reject all forms of physical affection, oftentimes going as far as having a disgust reaction. however, it's quite a big deal if he allows someone to sit in silence with him when his paranoia & anxiety aren't too bad — it essentially indicates that they make him feel safe.

🪡 ... a skill SANTIAGO SILVA has.

santiago is a very skilled woodworker, & frequently spends any time off whittling staffs & knife handles. however, when he's feeling particularly sentimental — usually around special dates, such as his child's birthday, his ex-wife's birthday, or their anniversary — he will whittle small figurines out of wood that look like little action figures or animals like bunnies, cats, & dogs. ( click for example ! ) when he's running reconnaissance missions in nearby villages, he will usually bring a few with him & hand them out to any children he meets. 

🎙 ... OTHELLO HASSINGER'S voice.

othello is essentially german ( bavaria becomes a part of germany eventually ), & his first language is german. his speaking voice is quite soft & somewhat reedy. very similar to jannik's voice irl !!! ( click for example ! )  unlike jannik, he doesn't tend to gesture with his hands much while he's speaking, as they are usually gloved & tucked into his pockets. he is a very poised & collected person and rarely struggles to find the right phrasing, and almost never trips over his words. however, his speech is quite different when he's speaking languages that are foreign to him, such as french or english. he is very well-educated due to his family's status & is near fluent in both, but he does tend to speak much slower & takes many pauses to think of the right words, as he is effectively translating as he speaks. ( click for example ! )

❤️ ... LAURIE WAGNER'S love languages ( giving or receiving ).

laurie is a very loving person. most people would call him too trusting, & they're probably right about that, but he honestly just can't help himself — he loves love. he tend to give love in both physical affection & acts of service. he's a big fan of hugging, touching, kissing, etc. because it doesn't require him to overcome a language barrier ( everybody knows what a hug & a kiss means, ya dig ? ). he also loves to just take care of things for the people he loves — folding their laundry, tidying up their space & the like — but one of his favorite things is to wash someone's hair. he like to take his time with it, massaging their scalp & whatnot, and finishes by adding little braids & applying scented oils.  as for receiving love, he adores quality time & words of affirmation. quality time generally looks like sitting in silence, reading together, maybe taking a nap together. with how chaotic his life has been lately, he loves to just feel safe & at peace with the person he loves. but words of affirmation really gets him — with how often he's been jilted by other people, he sometimes has a hard time accepting that someone might love him, so just being told directly is really special. especially if they learn sign to express their love for him !

⭐️ ... any superstitions OSIRIS QĀJĀR may have.

osiris is a deeply superstitious person ever since the attempt on his life some twenty years ago. he really, genuinely believes there is a curse on his family & that he must avoid doing certain things to make sure his family isn't punished by the universe. a small example of this is that he checks on each of his family members each night before he goes to sleep, and it is so vital to his routine that he physically cannot sleep until he knows each of them is safe. additionally, while it isn't a superstition in the slightest, he is also a devout muslim & partakes in a regimented routine of praying five times per day.

🎙 ... SANTIAGO SILVA'S voice.

santi's voice is quite gruff & he's capable of being very loud & capturing the attention of a crowd. as general, he has to be able to command a room, and does so with a practiced expertise. in short, he has quite a fearsome voice & knows how to use it. santiago was born in spain before being moved to france as a young child, but his mother spoke to him mostly in spanish before she passed. for this reason, he has a slightly spanish accent, much like pedro's role in the unbearable weight of massive talent: click for example !

🦄— something wonderfully unique!   a headcanon about what my muse believes sets them apart from others in their life.

𝐒𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐋𝐔𝐊𝐈𝐍 — sasha doesn't consider himself to be particularly unique, but if he had to pick something, it would probably be that he looks very unique due to his vitiligo. his hair is streaked with white strands & he has patches of skin all over his body that are void of pigment ( not that they're super visible, considering he's quite pale otherwise ). it's ironic, because he often relies on stealth to get away with stealing, but his appearance makes him stick out like a sore thumb most of the time.

🎀—put a bow on it! a headcanon about an almost trademark accessory my muse wears, and why they wear it.

𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐆𝐎 𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐀 — santiago doesn't really get to accessorize, considering he's in his guard's regalia about 90% of the time. but underneath his chestplate & the undershirt he wears underneath it, he wears a necklace made from leather twine, and on it hangs a tiny key. ( he would never tell anyone this, but it unlocks a small locket pendant that he left behind when he left his family. a small part of him hopes his child has it, and that he might be able to prove his identity by unlocking it. )

👚— pretty in pink!  for a headcanon about my muses wardrobe looks like and what their favourite colour to wear is.

𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐎 𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 — otto hasn't put a lot of effort into his wardrobe in about a year, now. typically, people in active mourning wear black for some months before returning to their normal wardrobe, but othello hasn't worn any color since before his family passed. he is typically wearing formal regalia when in public, but will opt for just his shirtsleeves ( with the top two buttons undone, for comfort ) or a longsleeve turtleneck if he won't be seen by anybody important that day.

🍋  — lemons or lemonade?   for how credence windsor handles a disappointing situation, and what approach they take to being dealt unfortunate circumstances.

credence doesn't handle disappointment well, and tends to react very childishly to situations in which he finds himself jilted or treated unfairly. there's usually a lot of pouting involved, and a lot of insisting that he's fine and everything's fine, even though it's obviously not. he'll be annoyingly silent about it for a few days ( ironically, during the time where it would actually be relevant to talk about it ), and then when he's too irritated to hold it in any longer, it'll burst out of him and he'll complain to the nearest person for an hour straight, even if they never asked.

🐯  — the eye of the tiger!    a headcanon about a song that will instantly get santiago silva invigorated, and why that song elicits that reaction.

because i don't know a whole lot about early modern period music, i'm just gonna take the creative liberty and say that if there were a song to represent santiago on the battlefield, it would be FIGHT by brockhampton. he's an incredibly skilled warrior and has an unsettlingly high body count ( in the murderous sense ). he is terrifying, and i feel like if a song were to play in a cinematic fight scene of him leading his army, it would be this.

🔐  — under lock and key!    a headcanon about something in aleksei markov's private area (room, lodgings, etc.) that they keep under lock and key, and why?

aleksei doesn't have a whole lot of personal effects; he's too numb to imbue very many things with sentimental value. however, there is a small box under his bed, made out of wood and otherwise unassuming — the key to it is stashed in the bottom compartment of a ring case kept on his nightstand. within it are sketches & drawings of himself & his brothers that he did when they were children. he pulls it out occasionally when he's having one of his dissociative episodes to help ground himself, but the guilt that he feels in response to some of the drawings makes them difficult to look at sometimes, so he doesn't do it very often.

chosen muse: ALL.         a random headcanon about ... bodies. 

credence windsor.

credence is well-built, but terribly lazy, and therefore not as physically fit as he probably could be. however, his primary hobby/sport is archery, which means his upper body gets a lot of exercise. he has a palm-sized birthmark on his ribs on the left side in the vague shape of a heart.

aleksei markov.

aleksei's body is riddled with scars. they are extremely thin and not jagged at all, indicating that they are from some kind of blade, but are not in any sort of pattern or methodically placed; it's clear that they are the result of, for lack of a better word, accidents. some are much older than others, but all are healed over and white in color.

santiago silva.

santi is a massive person, and appears even larger when he's wearing his armor. he's six-foot-three and extremely well-built. it's a necessity because of his position as a general, but it's also a side effect of him spending much of his free time working on carpentry and weaponsmithing projects.

laurie wagner.

laurie is the smallest of the bunch at just five-foot-eight. he's quite frail, since he spent much of his childhood ill and bedridden. he is, of course, deaf, but what's left of his hearing is slightly better in his left ear than his right, so his head is often tilted to the right to catch sound a bit better. his face is dusted with freckles, along with his shoulders, chest, and back. he has a few very old scars on his knees and shins from being such a clumsy child.

romeo pazzi.

romeo is tall, muscular, and quite fit, but wasn't always. up until he was eighteen, he was just five-foot-seven and very lanky. puberty hit him very late. his hair used to be a mop of curls, but his curls loosened as he got older and are now more like waves. he has a palm-sized tattoo of a sparrow on the right side of his chest.

osiris qājār.

osiris is almost always dressed in multiple layers of long sleeves and pants, an intentional choice meant to hide the near-grotesque appearance of his skin underneath. the assassination attempt that almost killed him twenty-five years ago was conducted using a powdered version of mustard gas, which caused his body to be covered in boils and chemical burns. the texture of his skin is essentially due to the scar tissue as a result of his body trying to heal.

othello hassinger.

if othello were in the modern world, he would probably be perfectly fit to be a distance swimmer. he's quite slim, but muscular and lithe. he enjoys fencing and horseback riding, which both act as exercise for virtually his entire body. he's always cold ( his average body temperature is just slightly lower than normal ), and is usually wearing too many layers for the weather. he has a constellation-like series of birthmarks that spans from just above his right hip down to the middle of his right thigh.

🍮 - is your muse intelligent academically? do they have any other intelligences?

credence windsor: credence is very intelligent, and unfortunately very lazy as well. his studies went quite poorly because he never wanted to do any of the work. however, much to the chagrin of his teachers, he always got near-perfect marks because of his natural intelligence.

aleksei markov: due to his years and years spent studying at his father's behest, aleksei is indeed extremely intelligent. he can recall information about the most obscure things within seconds, just because he was forced to read countless books growing up about mostly useless information. his most prominent area of intelligence is in war strategy, which was his favorite subject as a child, oddly enough.

santiago silva: santiago never had any proper schooling, so he is not very academically intelligent. however, the man who raised him, the marechal d'empire before him, did provide him with private tutors who taught him the necessary subjects to become a fierce war strategist and general. so, he is smart, but wouldn't pass a basic science test, if that makes sense.

laurie wagner: laurie is very smart, having spent most of his time at the paris academy for the deaf for the last ten years or so. however, his deafness does limit his ability to absorb more complex information, unfortunately. he does find complex things incredibly interesting, and is oftentimes very frustrated by the hindrances he faces in terms of communicating his thoughts. when he was a child he would cry and cry about not being able to say what he wants to say.

romeo pazzi: rome is very intelligent, and arrogantly so. he spent nearly a decade travelling the world to study philosophy. he frequently will rattle on about philosophy to people who never asked. honestly, his insistence about proving that he is intelligent makes him come off a bit of a dunce sometimes.

osiris qājār: osiris is not necessarily academically intelligent, but he is very smart, and extremely observant. he will make whip-fast observations about people just by looking at them for a few seconds. think sherlock holmes from the bbc version — he can essentially see right through people from the moment he meets them.

othello hassinger: otto is generally academically inclined, having gone through the typical years of schooling. however, he never really enjoyed school, finding it boring and repetitive. his most prominent intelligence is with art, which he expressed a talent for from a very young age. a headcanon i have is that he has an eidetic memory, or the ability to recall extremely detailed and vivid images from memory, long after he actually saw it.

credence  dresses  like  a  typical  man  of  his  age  and  status. his  family's  wealth  has  always  been  an  asset  to  him,  and  he  is  frequently  dressed  in  very  ornate  clothing  with  gilded  embroidery  and  detailing. he  favours  the  color  white,  as  well  as  high-collared  jackets  that  are  more  fitted  to  his  torso. he's  also  frequently  wearing  riding  gear,  as  he  goes  out  for  hunts  often  and  can't  be  bothered  to  change  out  of  the  appropriate  dress. whatever  he's  wearing,  he  usually  starts  the  day  looking  quite  proper,  and  ends  it  half-dressed,  his  shirt  untucked  and  unbuttoned  and  his  coat  discarded  somewhere. he  gets  uncomfortable  easily.​​​​​​​ (  examples  :  x. x.  x.  )

❄️ - is there any special meaning behind your muse’s name? what is it?

santiago  means  saint  james  in  spanish,  after  saint  james  the  great. he  was  supposedly  given  it  by  his  mother,  who  was  deeply  religious. when  he  was  orphaned  as  a  young  boy,  one  of  his  only  possessions  at  the  orphanage  was  a  locket  with  the  image  of  saint  james,  as  a  sort  of  memento  to  her.​​​​​​​

🏳️‍🌈 - how does your muse’s sexuality and gender identity impact their life? do you have any specific headcanons about it?

honestly,  aleksei  has  not  been  interested  enough  in  love  (  or  other  people  in  general  )  to  know  what  his  sexuality  is. when  he  was  young  and  not  yet  ruined  by  his  father's  wrath,  he  was  a  bit  of  a  charmer,  and  used  his  charisma  to  get  his  way. he  knew,  back  then,  that  he  was  handsome,  and  shared  plenty  of  intimate  nights  with  both  men  and  women. but  he's  never  been  in  a  committed  relationship,  and  ever  since  his  mental  state  started  spiraling,  it's  like  that  entire  side  of  his  brain  is  shut  off. he's  convinced  no  one  could  ever  love  him,  and  therefore  he  has  no  reason  to  consider  how  he  might  love  others.​​​​​​​

🪀 - what was your muse’s childhood like? how did their upbringing affect them?

laurie  remembers  his  childhood  very  fondly. despite  being  on  the  edge  of  death  for  the  first  few  years  of  his  life,  he  doesn't  remember  much  from  that  time,  and  doesn't  remember  ever  being  able  to  hear. after  being  adopted  by  the  wagners,  he  felt  very  loved  by  his  parents,  and  could  never  truly  believe  that  by  sheer  coincidence,  he  had  been  plucked  out  of  an  orphanage  to  live  such  a  lavish  life. in  a  way,  he  doesn't  know  what  he  did  to  deserve  such  resplendence,  and  is  made  slightly  uncomfortable  by  it,  though  he's  beyond  grateful. when  he  was  twelve,  he  was  sent  to  paris  to  board  at  the  deaf  school  there,  and  spent  nine  months  out  of  the  year  there  until  he  was  twenty-two. he  is  extremely  fond  of  his  time  at  the  deaf  school,  as  he  made  plenty  of  friends  there  and  was  actually  able  to  learn  and  socialize. he  considers  it  a  second  home.​​​​​​​

🧜‍♂️ - is there anyone that isn’t part of your muse’s blood family that they consider family? what is their relationship with that person or those people like?

romeo  himself  would  scoff  and  say  no,  but  it  might  be  a  masculinity  thing,  trying  to  hold  people  at  an  arm's  length  because  he  wants  to  seem  tough  and  self-sufficient. but  the  truth  is,  amin  qājār  is  a  very,  very  close  friend  of  his. they  met  at  university  some  years  ago  and  at  first,  romeo  was  an  absolute  menace. at  first,  he  tried  flirting  with  them  (  as  was  his  usual  first  method  of  attack  with  most  people  ),  to  no  avail. however,  romeo's  determination  to  seem  charismatic  revealed  something  about  him:  underneath  that,  he's  actually  quite  insecure,  and  a  bit  of  a  softie  and  a  romantic. amin  is  one  of  the  only  people  who  has  seen  behind  romeo's  lotharian  outer  shell  and  actually  been  able  to  get  him  to  be  vulnerable  enough  to  share  his  thoughts  and  feelings.
