Assuming what Nancy says is true (why would she lie?) it was Jonathan who was supposed to visit her for the break. That was the plan until Jonathan backed out for some "vague mumbly Jonathan reason."

So Jonathan canceled the plan and never showed up in Hawkins. Yet he somehow still expected Nancy to visit him. Despite them barely talking at this point and despite him pulling away for some time now.

It's his fault and he still wanted Nancy to come to him, to surprise him and to set things right.

I'm not surprised that she didn't do that. I am however surprised to realize that there is someone who wouldn't have cared if it's Jonathan's fault or not and who would have granted him that wish anyway if he would have been in Nancys position here.

It's Steve.

While they at first had plans to meet in order to "study" Nancy canceled them but Steve came to her house anyway. I know this was most likely because he had ulterior motives too but this is also only the first example of him doing this.

Despite Steve's friends telling him that Nancy doesn't want to talk to him and mocking him for caring he's on his way to talk to her. To figure out what's wrong. It's another attempt to visit her she's not expecting at all.

Here is a third example. Nancy again is not expecting him at all here either - she isn't even home - and yet Steve is showing up with flowers in his hand and ready to apologize to her even if he doesn't know what he's sorry for.

Of cause we can also never forget what happened when Jonathan and Nancy were ready to fight the Demogorgeon and Steve showed up on Jonathans doorstep. Although this one is without a doubt Steve's fault for insulting Jonathan in the first place and so it's only fair that he comes to apologize I still wanted to put it here as Steve's the one to approach Jonathan directly.

My point with all of this? If in the above scenario Steve would have been in Nancys shoes I have no doubt at all that he would have gone on that plane to visit Jonathan. He would not have cared who was at fault for them barely talking (if it's Jonathan or he himself.) He would have wanted to talk to Jonathan in order to figure out what's wrong. To set things right.

So an imaginary scenario where Steve would have been Jonathan's boyfriend would imho always lead to Steve showing up next to Mike at the airport and be like:

Hey, surprise! Here I am.

Let me tell you something, Franco could be dating a 50, 60, 70 year-old with grandchildren, he could become the youngest step-granpa in history, and Argentinians would not care. He would get teased, sure. Maybe even get the typical "he could do better" nonsense, but there wouldn't be much outrage. Because IT WAS NEVER ABOUT AGE.

La China Suarez is just someone who has done and said incredibly questionable things and has shown time and time again not to be a good person. She's messy and loves to drag the people she's with through her mess for clout.

And yes, Franco is an adult, he can make his own decisions. But I think for many of us, the reaction to this relationship has to do with not wanting him to get involved with the VERY toxic environment that surrounds Argentinian celebrities.

Im just gonna say it but Team Green is not playing because of miscommunication, they stopped playing because its not fun.

"Ignore the haters" no one should have to endure 3 days of hate just because they killed someone in a block game.
