Ace meeting Jimbei, I mean, they were friends before he became part of whitebeards crew and Jimbei was at marineford, I really wonder how he would react to meeting him again, and also mini Ace meeting him (memory or dream occurs maybe?). Also let’s be fr the world gonna figure out about the rebirth of Gold Roger’s son sooner or later lol

Hehe, I've also been thinking of their meeting! It will take place in Wano when Jimbei officially joins the straw hats! I think Jimbei will be shocked and regretful/sad to see Ace. I think He'll feel like he failed him. But Ace might be seeing him sooner in dreams/memories. For now though, here's a silly little doodle. ap us history. we all know this man loves history; he would actually be the type to read the textbook for fun and not just search up summary pdfs or upload the whole dang thing to chat gpt! i feel like quizlet would be his best friend and would probably terrorize all his other friends to build their quizlet flashcard streaks with him. lowk he’s just in this class so he can flex random history facts on uninformed people I’M SORRY he secretly enjoys somewhat resembling the “umm actually!��� meme. but honestly you go jay, being educated IS rightfully a flex. i feel like he’d actually talk to the teacher after class just to ask a clarifying question or just to confirm something totally random; he’d be like “was there really a u.s. entomological warfare field test called operation big itch?!” and the teacher would absolutely love him for that. on practice dbq days, he’s the best person to have on your team — you know you’re set when he gives you the look and little nod that communicates that he 100% got this.

THIS MAN WILL GLAZE THE HELL OUT OF AP CALCULUS BC. just like how he is adamant about his physics glazing, math is no exception. tell me why he’s legitimately taking advantage of ten minutes at the end of class to get started on his homework? put that TI-84 AWAY and look me in the eyes. he’s the one classmate who’s super nonchalant and sporty and sits in the back of the classroom, but is secretly an academic weapon. “jake sim, wonderful work. you were the only one in the class who got 100.” HELLO??? good thing you always go over to him for a post-exam debrief, because he’s basically the answer key anyway. during class, he’d be quietly doing his own thing and joking around with the people around him, but the teacher lets it slide. everyone in the class is conflicted between loving and hating him, but he’s genuinely so nice and is always eager to help the people around him who need it — that still doesn’t stop the entire class from naming him their D1 opp though!

ap biology. the one who spites people who obliterate the curve. he’s also the best frq peer-grader though, he’s going off of vibes! if you mention anything remotely close to the answer key, you bet he’s giving you the point because people suffer enough already. sunghoon is surprisingly good at the labs though, he managed to not kill a single fly in the mendelian genetics lab and he’s super diligent at counting them too. your other lab mates had exhaled a bit too harshly one time and the sedated flies went FLYING across the lab table from under the microscope — you swear sunghoon’s eye twitched because he had JUST sorted them all by phenotype. he didn’t say anything to them though, and just started recounting the flies again because he’s just a chill guy like that. what people don’t know about him is that he actually scores high enough to potentially set the curve, he just chooses not to raise his hand when the teacher asks for top scores because he’s #taking one for the team. what a legend.

advanced journalism. producing a newspaper? more like an excuse to know ALL the gossip and put everything under the name of investigative journalism. it’s literally his JOB to be on top of all the school events and the niche hobbies and passions that students have, and he absolutely loves it. combined with his social personality and strong writing, he’s for sure the editor of the “spotlight” category. and honestly, he’s the best the school has had in a long time. his feedback is always something to look forward to too — as one of his staff writers, your drafts are handed back with a colored pen circling a particular phrase you used, with the words “someone cooked here” or “OH YES GIRL” written in the margins. he brings the best food for after-school mandatory work days too, from donuts to chips to canned drinks — sunoo knows that the people need the snacks in order to gain enlightenment mid-article! his pages in the newspaper are also the most visually appealing too, this man knows how to use adobe indesign.

ap english language and composition. with how diligently he uses duolingo, i have no doubts that jungwon will succeed in ap lang. imagine if he applies that study technique to memorizing rhetorical devices? he would be reading something completely random like the instagram terms of service and going “omg wait guys this is anaphora” like okay english king. and the effort he puts in shows in his results too. when jungwon checked his grades to see a 100% on the timed write while every one of his friends complained for a whole week about getting an 80, he knew he was locked IN. he participates a lot during class discussions too, so everyone knows who he is. as a fellow #taking one for the team legend, he always agrees to be the sacrifice to share out to the class the table group’s ideas. also — something not exactly english-focused, but he’s also so alarmingly good at time management. like how is he maintaining a solid sleep schedule and clear skin while watching alchemy of souls during his pomodoro breaks? the world will never know.

ap chemistry. hear me out he signed up for this class thinking he could blow stuff up. he did not, in fact, get to blow stuff up all year — the blowing was done instead in the form of a huge blow to this man’s gpa. like what do you mean there’s solubility rules, polyatomic ions, vsepr geometric structures and their BOND ANGLES, plus gas law equations to memorize?! he went slightly delirious mid-semester and came up with insane, unhinged references just to drill all the content into his memory, from connecting acetate (CH3CO2-) to his “esteemed rizz mentor” heeseung (3 letter e’s in his name and he breathes out CO2!) and imagining his friends on a fucking seesaw to memorize the <90 and <120 degree bond angles. he tried explaining his logic to you (rapping out the equation for the van der waals real gas law?) and you just went along with it. he actually pulled through though with a B+ at the end of it all, but he swears to never have jake in charge of his course selection ever again.

Yooooooo self-aware HSR AU!!!

I would LOVE to know what some characters might think of Reader constantly battling the 50/50s (like how the HSR VAs get together and pull on the banners) with a side of the gacha seemingly favoring Bronya. 😅🤣

Off the top of my head, probably the worst one could be when Reader lost more than seven 50/50s in a row. (Based on past experience. 🫠) And not too long ago, they tried to pull for Sunday when his banner was running and when they saw the Harmony symbol—

��well…no points for guessing who showed up in his place. 😅

And then Reader ended up going all the way to max pity.

Reader: “IS THIS KARMA FOR RUNNING HIM OVER WITH THE ASTRAL EXPRESS!??!?!?!??!”

LMAOOO THIS IS GOLD. 😭😭

Okay, so here's how I think it would happen 🤭 (might not be accurate to the characters, plus idk much about pity and stuffs but I tried from the knowledge I got from yt shorts lol)

Bronya, being the gacha queen, might definitely notice how she keeps showing up in your pulls—especially when she’s not the one you’re aiming for. At first, she’d be gracious, “You’ve summoned me again. I can only assume it’s because you trust in my abilities to lead us to victory.”

But after, like, the fifth time, even she starts getting suspicious. “Is this… intentional? Or is this fate…? Regardless, I’ll fulfill my duties, as always.”

(Meanwhile, March is trying so hard not to laugh in the background: “Bronya AGAIN? You’re doomed!”)

Seven losses in a row, though? That’s when Himeko and Welt step in with some serious concern. “Seven? I’d say the odds are against you, but that’s… statistically impossible. Are you sure the stars aren’t just playing with you?”

“Perhaps this is a reflection of the balance you must maintain across dimensions… or you’re simply cursed.” (Thanks for the pep talk, Grandpa...)

Meanwhile, Silver Wolf is like, “You’re fighting against an algorithm. That’s your first mistake.” And then she offers to “fix” it for you (she can’t, but she enjoys messing with your hopes).

The Harmony symbol flashes, your heart soars, and then… Bronya. AGAIN. The absolute audacity.

Reader: “WHY WON’T YOU LET HIM COME HOME!?”

Bronya, oblivious to your suffering, “I will stand by your side, no matter the circumstances. Was this not what you intended?”

Everyone else is just dying. March is clutching her stomach “HAHAHA you were trying to pull for Sunday, and you got Bronya? AGAIN? Oh, I’m gonna cry—this is too good!” (she would definitely take pictures of you suffering.)

Dan Heng would try to be supportive, offering his trademark calm wisdom, “Perhaps it’s better to focus on what you do have. Bronya is an asset in any situation.” But even he can’t fully hide the slight twitch of amusement at your misfortune.

Now the real kicker: when you lose another 50/50 for Sunday and start yelling about karma for running him over with the Astral Express. EVERYONE stops.

Sunday, if he somehow hears this, “...You… WHAT?” (i kinda wanna hc that these characters aren't actually present during the fights/battle scenes.)

The Trailblazer looks at you like you (more like your screen) just committed war crimes.

Meanwhile, March is choking on her drink, “Wait, you RAN OVER HIM? Like, with the ACTUAL EXPRESS? And now he won’t come home? That’s… yeah, that’s fair, actually.”

Even Himeko raises a brow, “Well… actions do have consequences, as they say.”

You’d swear you hear Kafka’s voice somewhere in the distance, smirking, “Seems like fate is toying with you. What a fascinating little game you’ve got going.”

By the time you hit max pity, the entire Astral Express crew has started following your pulling rituals. March has a notepad, “Alright, you’ve hit 79 pity. This next pull is gonna be the one, I feel it—oh… wait. Nope. That’s another Bronya.”

Pom-Pom is pacing nervously in the background, muttering, “At this rate, the economy of our inventory is going to collapse.”

When you FINALLY pull Sunday, the whole group cheers like it’s a world event. Dan Heng, however, just calmly says, “Perhaps you’ve learned not to anger the stars. Or… the train.”

At the end of it all, Bronya might start feeling awkward about always showing up. If you mention your struggles, she’d quietly apologize, “If I’ve interfered with your plans… I am sorry. I only wanted to be of help to you. Perhaps the stars are telling us something we don’t yet understand.” (Translation: she’s just as confused as you are.)

This AU would honestly be too much fun. Every pull would feel like an event for the Astral Express, and I can already imagine March becoming your emotional support bestie through it all. 😭🙏

southern gothic, as a literary genre, portrays the darker sides of the south such as poverty, racism, religious tension, and alienation. how would you describe australian gothic in your own words? is there any media with that vibe? (sorry if this is a weird ask I’m just curious)

i only woke up like 30 mins ago so this wont be very insightful or anything but i consider aus gothic to be mainly the fear of the unknown in relation to the bush, like the thick bush u could easily get lost in or the outback where its just nothing for miles but dirt.

i grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other, there was one shop, one pub and one primary school, and my town was rivals with the neighbouring town because "they got more" than us (shops, customers, etc). as well as that, my primary schools and other schools in the neighbouring towns were a part of some interconnected community where we'd do events with each other like walkathons, school sports, etc, but one of the other town's school decided not to join and every year they have like 5 students (genuinely, even still to this day) so they now have resentment towards the other towns. so i also see a sense of community and rivalry when i think of aus gothic.

as well as that, i live where the gold rush took place so gold detecting, random mines in the bush that you have to avoid cause u could fall right through, remnants of settlements that were abandoned after the people there went home because they couldn't make a fortune looking for gold like they thought they could also comes into play.

mainly for me though, its all about the bush. i grew up on a road where one side was about 5 houses and the other side of the road was all bush. when i was growing up i honestly didn't give a fuck about the bush cause to me it was just where i lived, but in recent years i've really come to appreciate the beauty of it, especially since my nana still lives there on the same street i grew up on so i can still spend some time there.

as for aus gothic media/literature, i'm a massive fan of horror so i'd 100% have to say wolf creek. i loooove wolf creek. my other (obvious) choice is picnic at hanging rock, that story really plays into the fear of the unknown. i studied that in year 12 so i know too much about it lol. AND OF COURSE LAKE MUNGO. i almost forgot about lake mungo, i absolutely fucking love lake mungo.

if anyone has any other recs for good aus gothic media send them thru, i do read a bit but unfortunately nothing to do with aus gothic lol

edit: dogs are also a part of aus gothic for me! sounds completely unrelated but most people i know who live out bush have dogs, i grew up with multiple dogs, from kelpies to bulldogs to staffies so i've always loved dogs and associated them with my time spent growing up out bush.

Parent friend definitely has their hands full with the star sanses. One on one isn’t so bad most of the time but those three all have the potential for great amounts of chaos that triples every time they’re close to one another.

It’s like herding cats trying to keep them all healthy, happy and fed. They definitely run circles around you, especially Blue with his insane amount of energy. You’re going to get very strong from the amount of times you carry them by the scruff of their neck.

In fights your main tactic to protect them is just by yoinking them away from Nightmare or the bad Sanses and hauling ass away from them. You probably don’t have the same level of magic power as anyone else in a fight does, so you substitute by being extremely strong. BONK! Indeed anon. Thats your signature move in fact. Error and Nightmare learn to fear your bonks in battle.

Error despises you. He literally develops a fight or flight reaction every time he even hears you approaching him. It is on sight with you two. Poor ink is just standing in the corner trying to get you to both get along before just giving up and joining the fight.

Nightmare despises you less only because you tend to avoid him in fights unless its a direct one on one with dream. In which case you’re getting involved LOL. The bad Sanses (Killer, Dust, Horror) enjoy watching the times when you’re kicking Errors ass instead of theirs.

Blue and Dream appreciate your care the most. Dream is very touched by your care, especially in the early stages of your friendship. He’s so used to having to be the caregiver that experiencing someone trying to help him, he finds it foreign at first. Dream’s suspicious of you initially. You barely know him and yet you’re showing such care, he can’t help but be reminded of all the villagers in his au who were kind only to take advantage of him. Once he senses your aura of kindness and care does he fully relax around you.

Dream learns to relax around you, when it’s just you two he doesn’t feel like he has to put up this brave front. He can be tired around you, tell you his fears, his worries. Without being worried that his public persona as this beacon of positivity will be stained. Dream also (eventually) learns to stop self sacrificing for others and give everyone else the chance to help out.

Blue is second place, only because he’s so used to taking care of people and being cared back (Blues the only one with a loving, living family lmao). He understands your want to care for others the most and encourages you to train and get stronger, while also making sure you don’t burn out at the same time. You spend a lot of time with Blue training together, cooking food for the other two, etc. You also spend the most time in Blues au. So you’re close with his brother as well.

Now don’t get me wrong, Ink does appreciate you a lot as well. Ink is absolutely the type to get so caught up in something he forgets to eat or sleep. So having you around is good in keeping him in tip top shape.

If you’re creative then the two of you definitely spend time in the doodlesphere drawing. Ink is always interested in what your drawing. You could give him a stick figure drawing and he would still be really excited and give you tips to improve. If your hobby isn’t drawing then Ink is definitely still interested in what you’ve made. Music, knitting, dance. Ink loves to see others create! Especially his good friends.

You also help Ink learn to manage his vials. You record down what having a specific amount of each paint does to him and help figure out how much he needs in order to feel the full range of emotions.

Ink just wishes you would stop attacking Error on sight. Especially if the two have agreed to not get in each other’s way anymore.

I don’t know if I have it in me to write a decent enough AU right now, but the phrase “EMS Jess” has entered my brain and refuses to leave. Picturing Esti dragging Lupe to a concert or festival, and Lupe slips/falls/gets caught in the wrong way that absolutely fucks with her old elbow injury. She tries to hide/push through the pain, but it’s not only quite painful but also pretty panic-inducing in terms of her career as a ball player. So she goes to the EMS tent with hopes of ice or a sling or honestly just some reassurance from a medical professional. But soon after she gets there, every thought about in her head about her injury gets overshadowed by the blonde butch paramedic who Lupe is pretty sure is flirting with her

Lupe leaves with ice and a sling but disappointingly no number or plans to see her again. But she knows very well about professional boundaries so she’s not surprised, just preoccupied by the thoughts of crossing paths again in a more neutral environment

Towards the end of the night, Lupe goes to smoke, and Jess approaches her, bag of ice in hand. “Thought maybe you could use a refill.”

Lupe raises an eyebrow. “You give all your patients such good follow up care?”

Jess laughs. “No, nah, not usually. Usually we hope we never see our patients again, you know, for their wellbeing.”

Because the idea struck me that at the end of my Senior Year Fae Wilds AU, Pok and Sklonda could absolutely meet up in the Fae Wilds, and if they have an 'I really missed you' boink, and Sklonda gets pregnant, well...

As far as the Fae Wilds/Goblin King/College AU goes (I like to stack my stories like weird jenga towers made of matryoshka dolls), I for some reason threw down 10k of EXTREMELY niche future storyline stuff in the last 24 hours (Do not ask me why, I do not control the hyperfixation). Regardless it will probs get posted on my AO3 soon with many many disclaimers and a bunch of exposition so any of it makes sense to literally anyone besides @dullgecko lol.

Pok could barely wait to break the news to him. He swanned through the door, after picking the lock without much thought (it was faster than fiddling with the keys in the janky dead-bolt), and immediately zero’d in on his daughter, who was wearing her favourite purple and gold-spangled wizard robe. She squealed happily as he scooped her up and spun her around. The squeals turned to giggles as he snuggled her to his chest, still spinning, and peppered her forehead with kisses. “Hooow is my littlest angel today, hmm?” “Made cookies with Cathilda!” She pointed excitedly at the kitchen, where Cathilda was standing with Sklonda, the two of them setting fresh cookies out on cooling racks. It occurred to him that the place did smell divine (and he would know), and even though he didn’t NEED to eat, he would look forward to sneaking one of the treats to share with his daughter as soon as he could manage it. As good of a rogue as he was, Cathilda had the sharpest eyes of any halfling woman he’d ever met. It could be a dangerous mission. For the approval of his littlest boss, though, he would take the risk. But on that note, Sklonda (his biggest boss) made her way over and hugged him and Karikka tight, looking him over with an anxious sort of smile. “How did it go?” Pok gave her his flashiest, toothiest rogue’s grin. “Got it done.” Her eyes belied her relief, slitted pupils rounding back out, crows feet smoothing, and smile turning genuine rather than tight with worry. She kissed him over Kari’s head, their daughter’s loudly blown raspberry telling them both exactly what she thought of being roped into her parent’s affection with one another. Pok laughed, letting her wriggle out of his grip and go back to playing with her toy-town, strewn across the living room. Her aasimar markings glowed briefly as she cast a light cantrip, carrying on with whatever intense storyline she had been playing out with her stuffed griffon, rok, and owlbear.

“When?” Riz asks quietly, not drinking his coffee, just holding it.

Kristen sniffs. The air is stale, and still chilly. March hasn’t quite decided to thaw yet. She thinks it’ll come after Spring Break. On the street below, cars race by, leaking exhaust and sputtering like leaky faucets. Her nose is cold. Riz is warm against her side.

“Thursday,” she says quietly. “The big fourteen. You only turn fourteen once, you know?”

Riz hums. “You only turn every day old once.”

She bites her lip and closes her eyes. “Did you know that you forget stuff about people? Like, the little stuff that doesn’t feel important until you can’t remember it anymore? Yesterday I realized I didn’t remember what Bucky’s freckles look like. They change, you know? During the winter. I don’t know what they look like right now.”

Hey there! I read both Reprogrammed and Decoded and was blown away. Unfortunately (sorta), my odd little brain had one little question that was burning from the end of Reprogrammed till the end of the story: what about the Wild Kratts Kids? How did they react to Chris's disappearance/return? I know if I were 8 and my teacher (i guess thats an okay metaphor? maybe?) randomly disappeared for 3 months and came back 10 pounds lighter with dozens of new scars and white hair in their early twenties, I'd be a little torn up/curious. How would Chris feel about showing up on screen in front of a bunch of kids in his state? Would he...wear a...hat...or something...? I don't know, just thoughts lol

They never told the public that Chris was missing (Didn't wanna scare the kids or give the Villains the knowledge that they were vulnerable)

And being out in the most rural parts of the world, it's not uncommon for them to go months without any sort of public appearance. For now, Martin is handling any sort of press alone until Chris is ready to be back in the public eye.

But of course they still run into a wild kratts kid every once and a while.
