its so funny seeing them nest to each other now, but i remember when i finished the first version last year, i was so proud to have finally made a proper 'finished' piece.

like, yall, i struggled for years to every be able to create a piece i would ever call close to 'done'. part of that is me being a very knit-picky kinda person, and wanted to continue to tweak everything all of the time forever, but on top of that i also do work slow af, and before last year i didnt really have access to any digital media. and i love traditional mediums, but im defintiely not practiced enough to be able to get the results i was looking for with any sort of speed. like im genuinely not sure i created a single 'finished' work in my life -- not in school, not in work, not even in the free space of silly fandom doodles.

and then this piece happened!

and i knew even then that it was messy and rough af, but it had a background!! and color!! sure, the linework wasnt polished at all but still, for a silly little fanart? it was defined enough to distinguish the separate characters, and read expressions! there was even a little tiny bit of lighting!! i hate lighting!!

seeing the two versions side by side honestly i kinda have to laugh at how Rough the first version looks now. but you know what. im still so so proud of it. the colors are muddy, theres no shift in value; their clothing designs arent at all defined, leos teeth look weird af and theres lines on caseys face that are definitely from me accidentally dragging my fingers across the tablet when i didnt mean to but like. its there! its finished! i did it!

The GIW successfully invade the infinite realms. The Fenton parents were more then happy to provide weapons. Anything to deal with the awful body snatchers.

Danny was revealed, the GIW brought evidence of him being phantom to Jack and Maddie. They two vow vengeance for their dead son.

Danny barely managed to escape with his half-life and fled to the realm. Only for war to happen.

The GIW don’t even have to win battles. Just place anti-ecto bombs strategically in the realm. They can’t win actual battles.

Those in the realm keep disarming them. Some go off, only enough to damage little sections/haunts. If the realm goes the entire multiverse goes. The infinite realm connects every universe and afterlife.

With how unstable the realm becomes the universes are just getting way more natural portals.

Danny and Danielle get caught in an explosion. Just in time for a portal to open and drop them in dc. Without the ambient ecto from the realm the two are forced back into human form.

They run into Constantine. Total coincidence he definitely wasn’t investigating the influx of portals. Danny can feel that he had been in the realm before and is desperate to get back. He panics and info dumps on John.

Now as the two are drained. He can’t tell they are ecto-beings. The assumption the JLD come up with is the two are children from the attacking universe. Obviously they didn’t agree, as the two are adamant that they have to get back and stop dp before every dimension is destroyed.

Now the JL and JLD have to get back into the realm and help stop the destruction of every single dimension.

All while trying to keep the only two who know how to make a stable portal from jumping into every unstable portal that pops up. The portals are only staying for mere seconds and getting shorter each time but increasing in amount formed.

Kokushibo

He is taking your insecurities very seriously. Kokushibo knows and felt it himself plenty, during both his demon and human years. Despite that, his “comfort” and “reassurance” methods are quite unique. Your husband will not react immediately to your feelings, rather being more quiet and reserved than usual, wich at first makes you doubt yourself even more. Perhaps he is finally realising that he is much better off with another human or even demon… Although you started to notice how Kokushibo was hovering around you more and more. Silently, but he was still there, watching you while you go on with your day. You could be doing some mundane task like cooking yourself a meal and he would be standing behind you, not noticing how intimidating he is being right now.

In his mind, Kokushibo was showing more interest in you. He believed that you felt insecure about him not being around you enough or paying attention to you, instead being out on missions or training. So, now he’s watching you everyday all day, trying to show you through his ways that he cares about you and cherishes you very much. Once he finally notices how he is achieving nothing but making you confused or intimidating, Kokushibo begins to show affection more openly, although it felt forced at first.

His calloused hand would slowly slip into yours, intertwining fingers while he was meditating, or him holding you close to his body while you napped or slept on his chest, spending the precious and scarce nighttime with showering you in affection while you were resting, not even aware about how he was trying to show his love in his own way.

“I’ll stay for the night, I asked that man to give the other Upper Moons any of my remaining missions. I’d rather spend my time with you.”

Kokushibo is silently worrying about not being good enough for you. Although he is Upper Moon One, wouldn’t a human want to marry another human and start a family? What stops you from leaving him? He will not stop or hurt you when you choose to do so, he would completely understand.

Douma

You immediately saw Douma’s face shift into the expression he gives to all his followers once they start speaking about their woes, while you were trying to explain to him how you were feeling. You silenced yourself the second the pity-tinged smile appeared on your face, knowing that he is not listening or acknowledging your feelings in any way. He told you times before how he feels exhausted when listening to his followers whine and cry about their problems while Douma barely cares, giving them the usual advice. Talking about your insecurities will definitely not work with Douma, so you’ll have to resort to other things to make him listen. Ignoring him is a not very nice way to do it, but at least he’ll start to wonder why you are not around.

He notices immediately when you stop being near him. You’re not sitting by his side during sermons, you’re not in your shared bedroom and the followers commented about how you were seemingly avoiding the Founder. That’s when it finally clicks, you were talking about not feeling enough for him and being insecure about yourself earlier, right? Once Douma chased you down (and persuaded you to leave the garden and step into the shade with him so you two can have a conversation without him needing to yell all over the estate), he theatrically kissed the palm of your hand and kept apologising over and over, almost nervously trying to explain how much he loves you and how irreplaceable you truly are to him and his heart.

You are the first human, first being he felt emotions for. Happiness, sadness, anger, jealousy and most importantly love— all the beautiful and unpleasant feelings, Douma began feeling them because of you!

To prove his point in a way, he introduced you to all the unimpressed Upper Moons and his master as “the love of his life”, his wife, his life partner, soulmate and so on and on, mentioning many other petnames until Muzan finally silenced him. Douma invites you to sit right beside him during sermons, instead of having your own cushion, keeping you closer and having the opportunity to openly shower you in affection. He sometimes sends out followers to pick up flowers for you in the garden and then presents then to you as if he picked them out himself, acting like the sun wasn’t out for the last hours, making it not possible for him to get those flowers for you. You appreciate it nonetheless.

“I have an idea! How about we hold an official wedding ceremony with all my followers! We cab invite my other friends too! Ohh, Akaza can be my best man, imagine how that could be, haha!”

Even if Douma is rather comical and theatrical, deep down inside, he is rather afraid of you getting sick of him one day. He knows he can keep his followers charmed and close, but his speeches and charms do not work on you. You see right through him and know the true person, or demon, he is. He is insecure himself because why would you stay with a man-eating demon? Once you mentioned your own thoughts and feelings, he took it as an opportunity to prove that he does cherishes and loves you so, so incredibly much.

Akaza

You… You seriously think that you are not good enough? Not pretty or strong enough? Seriously?

You are the best thing that ever happened and will happen to him. You are patient with him snd so kind, so gentle and affectionate. You heal his soul and now you are talking about being replaceable? He feels incredibly horrible for making you feel so terrible about yourself.

Akaza tries to be more obvious about his feelings for you, trying to reassure you how beautiful you look or saying “I love you” more often, taking your smaller hand into his, nuzzling his cheek in your warm palm. He gets much more touchy, trying to get you to cuddle more and more so he can relish in your warmth and bask in your arms. His time with you is scarce, especially with how Muzan keeps drowning him in more and more exhausting missions that keep him away from you (and sometimes it feels like his master is doing it on purpose), that’s why his eyes do not leave your form for even one second, sometimes quietly mumbling “I love you” against your warm skin, his lips placing kisses between his muffled words.

“There’s no one else I want by my side, bunny. You make me feel warm, fuzzy… safe, y’know. It’s weird but nice. You should feel like that too.. you deserve it.”

Akaza sometimes notices how disgustingly desperate he sounds to comfort and reassure you. It made him cringe once he realised how hard he fell for you, how much he clung onto you and how desperately he craved your love, your touch. Once you start talking about your insecurities about your beauty, self-worth and so on, he realises how much he appreciates you more and more. You’re the most beautiful human he ever came across, you’re heaven-sent. Is it selfish of him to think of you as a blessing from the gods themselves?

Muzan Kibutsuji

He was very perplexed when he first listened to you talking about being insecure, not quite understanding how you out of all people feel replaceable and not enough for the demon king. How could you think such things? Do you not understand how vulnerable he is with you without an audience? At first, he’d dismiss your worries for you just being confused or not feeling well, but a little after a day after your initial conversation, the gears inside his five brains begin to shift and work again. At that moment, he finally realised what you really meant.

Muzan didn’t want to be more affectionate with you, mistaking love with weakness, but after finally realising how you needed the reassurance from him, he begrudgingly gave into his fears of appearing soft and began to show his love more openly.

The demon king began to shower you in various gifts that mark you as his partner, such as a necklace with a ruby matching his eye colour, multiple rings he owns himself so you two can match and an artificial flower crown for you to wear as his soulmate and in a cute way to show off your “royal status” as the partner of Muzan.

“You are the one and only for me, and I am the only one for you. If the gods exist, they have blessed me with merely meeting you in your lifetime… it would be a pity to let it expire so soon. I will happily give you my blood if you’d like, my sun.”

I was kinda stumped for what kind of monster to make Clover, but i decided on a sandy looking lizard. I thought itd help them fit in more with the Dunes, since multiple npcs assume thats where Clovers from.

I also think Clovers friends would become less protective, if anything. Clover becoming a monster removes nearly all risks they faced as a human.

Ceroba and Chujin were very lucky to have good community in Oasis Valley and the Wild East. Wild East monsters have sworn to never breathe a word about the kids, and while some monsters in Oasis Valley have theories, they like the Ketsukanes, and their human children, too much to contact the guards.

Which is lucky! We know Asgore is kind, and doesnt want to hurt the human children, but if it was revealed the Ketsukanes were not hiding one, but three human children? He'd be forced to take some kind of action.

So Clover becoming a monster would mean they could travel to and from Snowdin freely, and explore the rest of the Underground without worrying about the Royal Guard.

If Clover became a bird-monster like Martlet, the two would definitely get closer. Ive always seen Clover and Marlet as siblings (esp since in my au shes only around 7 years older than Clover), but theyd definitely spend a lot more time together. Marlet would teach Clover to fly so they could travel more easily. They'd probably take Kanako and Frisk on their back and just fly around. Ceroba and Chujin would both have heart attacks.

Kitsune Clover would be more or less the same. I know everybody loves protective!Ceroba and kitsune!Clover, but that wouldn't really fit in this au.

Ceroba never lost her husband or her daughter in this au. She has a thriving family, and no reason to be overprotective of a monster Clover.

Ceroba and Chujin are both protective over their human children, which is reasonable. But they'd dial it back if Clover was a monster of any kind, even a fox.

Theyve never been the biggest fan of Starlos Wild East adventures, but allow Clover to partake in them since they're old enough, and can take care of themselves. Starlo also dials the adventures back a bit with Clover around, lest their parents find out and kick his ass.

They wouldnt feel right keeping Clover from joining in on Starlos cowboy shenanigans, considering how close-knit the two are. They also know Starlo wouldnt let Clover get hurt, or near any real danger.

So overall, Clover somehow becoming a monster would be best case scenario for everyone.

devastated to have to do this but here's a list of why the end of arcane is actually hopeful in terms of the piltover and zaun conflict (and i admit i didn't get it originally either)

piltover and zaun fought a war for humanity itself together

we saw many piltovian families refused to help and ran away, and while originally sevika and scar also left jayce's meeting, both firelights and zaunites/jinxers showed up for piltover when it counted and that must've meant something when it comes to piltovians' views of the undercity and zaunites themselves, and vice verse too because zaunite leaders lead their people into that very battle too - jinx, ekko and sevika - and their people followed. they lost so much, won so much, celebrated and grieved together.

the entire council has been reestablished and sevika is on it

and yes, there's a lot to be said abt how different people doesn't necessarily mean change or improvement (esp if they're also elites who hold the same views, but again, context), but sevika's presence, despite being a minority vote, is definitely more than there ever was before, because it raises awareness and provides perspective - the undercity has been given a voice. there's a person up there now who knows what's it's like down there, what the people of the undercity need, and she's willing to stand up and speak out for it. and ofc, we can only guess what the general public knows abt the reasons ambessa and viktor were operating under, but i'd make the case that it matters that caitlyn gave the kiramman seat to sevika, bcuz the name bewitches people and she's somewhat of a war hero now.

with the kiramman fortune, the access to the kiramman archives through the kiramman key, and the fight caitlyn asks vi if she's still in (which she is, so add her to that list), i think it's very safe to assume that the two of them are going to dedicate their lives to rebuilding the two cities and the relationship between them, which neither of them can do without the other. we saw that even without a council seat, caitlyn remained incredibly influential in piltover so it matters that she's taking steps to atone for her mistakes and vi is there to guide her in the right direction.

I’m gonna be honest- part of me feels like they killed off Natasha in endgame partially to try and give Steve’s whole leaving everyone behind for Peggy ending any sort of credibility- because as much as I can’t see Steve abandoning everyone to run back to Peggy, I really can’t see him leaving nat

I mean let’s be honest I still don’t think Steve would actually leave everyone behind in the present (I mean he just finally got bucky and sam and everyone else back - esp Bucky after all this time - and then he just leaves??) let alone the fact that he’d suddenly develop a selfish streak and go back and screw up the long happy life that he acknowledged Peggy had without him in catws

Even if you don’t think there was anything romantic between them (even tho I definitely do lol) Steve and Natasha obviously loved each other and were very close and important to each other for a long time - especially after those years on the run and then losing everyone else they were really close to in the snap - I think it’s a shame that endgame seemed to undercut the importance of that relationship (like having him pull that damn compass again out of nowhere while he was talking to nat or implying that he left her to lead the avengers by herself for those five years like everyone else did) to make Steve suddenly being in love with Peggy again seem more plausible

Steve and Natasha were always a pair that shined on screen together and really brought out an intimacy and a humanity in these two characters that can sometimes be swept up in their larger superhero personas - I just wish we got to see more of that after and beyond those two Captain America movies

if i can be corny for a second i wanna talk about the greatest strengths of the 2003 tmnt series and why it speaks to me (esp as a queer person)

so i might have alluded to this before, but let me say it outright: each show is definitely a product of its time, and the ideals of whatever generation its from. whether talking about the humour, the story, the dialogue etc, its always important to remember that these shows will always come off in a way due to the generation theyre from. and thats not a bad thing! it just means its important to think about them from that perspective.

2003 is a show of my generation growing up, and a thing about that era that maybe some people younger than me wont understand is there is so much more language commonly available to describe yourself now than there was then. you can take this in any context; mental health, sexuality, gender identity, or even just the ability to describe your relationships with more (idk if this will be the right word) therapist language.

in 03 we have a family unit of splinter and his sons, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. we have a splinter who hasnt opened up to his sons about the trauma hes experienced, but not in a way of shutting them out, simply because it isnt their responsibility to know as they are teenagers. he tells them of the mutagen that created them, but not of his past with his master yoshi, who he calls father when by himself, but never around his sons which is just an interesting concept to think about.

(i do not intent this next sentence as ragging on the two shows after this when i say it, simply from a character standpoint) this is the splinter who completely doesnt make his problems his sons problems, but he also is very willing to tell them the truth when he knows they're ready. this is is the most idyllic version of splitner out of all of them, even when comparing to his mirage counterpart (who hes the most based on) due to that splinter raising them to be ninja specifically to make them fight shredder. this one is just their father who loves them and wants to keep them safe the best way he can, and he was never a human in the first place to even know how to be that. so this whole family dynamic starts with him, and the way he raised his sons reflects his parenting.

so, the setting and year this show is made is 2003. something very relatable here is how there isnt a lot of language for the personality quirks of the turtles. there's so much evidence here for mikey having adhd, his brothers will say things like "why doesnt mikey have to help?" and the answer is "well, he'd be bored. and whats worse, mikey not helping or mikey being bored?" its this beautiful moment of, "hey, we know its not fair, but thats how mikey is, and its better for everyone if we just respect that thats how he is" mikey cant keep his hands off stuff, they know this they dont yell at him for behaving that way, they just stop him. this coding feels the most specific, but like i said. its 2003. we dont have the words to describe what this is yet, and if we do its not common knowledge.

another example is in the classic episode where raphael meets casey jones. raphael is sparring with mikey, and he lashes out and nearly kills mikey. everyone reacts to this by getting him to stop, and no one is more upset than raphael himself. they all tell him to go get some air, which he does. theres no moment of any of them screaming at him for losing his temper, its very clear that they all know he's going to do that himself. and he does go get some air. they all know thats what he needs. he goes and meets casey jones, another hot head, and raph has to help coach this hot head on his anger. when he comes back at the end of the episode after having let out that aggression, he apologizes and no one is upset with him. there's a very clear understanding among his family that he cannot help it, but the best thing they can do is give him his space when he needs it. watching this from a 2023 perspective (20 years later) im sure we could analyze this as a few things going on with raph, my mind comes to autism but at the end of the day it doesnt matter why he behaves like this, the point is that he does and the best thing his family does is just...help him. which they do. and they never hold it against him.

when leo is going through his ptsd arc hes at his closest to raph as a character, the show draws a lot of parallels (like having him go let out some aggression with casey) and we get to see the dynamic in reverse. in "i, monster" (the rat king episode) leo is losing it, taking on rat king alone and not wanting to let up. raphael is actively holding his brothers back when they say "we shouldnt leave him to fight alone", raphael says "if leo gets in trouble i'm the first one in there, but right now it looks like leo's got more than one monster to work out of his system" raph doesn't exactly know what leos going through, but he recognizes it. he knows he needs to fight alone, so raph lets him. its only when the building collapses and leo is no longer in a safe position that he says "leo lets go", which leo wordlessly agrees with and actually listens.

this is what i think is the best part of these guys, the unconditional understanding they have for the way they are. we still have our "raphs a big hot head" "mikeys annoying" jokes, but they feel like genuine good natured sibling ribbing because they know each other on that level.

and to go back to the fact that this show is set in 2003, there's something so specific about the way mikey constantly makes references to liking women's clothing, to being fine with feminine language, and to being open about being the pretty turtle who "has that effect on minds of men" speaks to me as a queer person. this could easily be intended as homophobic jokes and probably is, because again.... its the mid 2000s, thats very much what media was like, thats what the jokes were. especially with the girly screams mikey does being one of the first jokes of this nature.

but theres something that happens in season 4, where an alien is attacking mikey, and donnie rushes in and says "hey, thats my sibling" that sticks out. and it happens again in fast forward. when talking to the dark turtles leo says "you and your brothers" "me and my siblings"

because of the way this family unit just understands each other without ever having a conversation about things, it feels like its not a joke. theres some kind of affirmation happening here. even if it seems like i could be reading into it too much, its specific! and it keeps happening!

and by the end of the show, when mikey says he wants to be maid of honour, even if that line in the media itself was intended to be a joke, no one in their family treats it like one. of course mikey is the maid of honour, he asked to be one! the only real offence taken is when april says bride's maid, to which he is offended because hes so much more important than that!

so from a story standpoint, this show doesnt have the intricate complexities and butting heads of latter iterations, there isnt much relationship growth to be had (in fact once we get to around season 5 the flanderization of the characters kind of begins and it loses some of the more complexities) but thats because its just not the focus of the story! the story is more about what they go through together, and thats fine! thats what our shows kind of were at the time. not saying there isnt any relationship growth, but its very much not the focus because these turtles? they already understand each other in a healthy way.

so to me, these guys are kind of the most wholesome family unit

okay ik everyone and their mother is probably talking about this but monomoko seems to be becoming more and more sympathetic for the students and it kinda scares me for her future, considering what just happened w dr kan (KYS!!!!!). im not particularly sure as to why this is happening, maybe the black spots have to do with the memories or the feelings from the deceased students??? i feel like that has to have some significance. also she went and talked to people that were pretty significant to people who died or got killed, like sasaki and okazaki, so i find that intriguing. im still so confused as to how any of monomokos abilities work but hey ojima got a glimpse of the sky! yeah open sky screamed death flags ojima pls stay true to your word. also the yanagi analysis by monomoko was wild lmfao but i did really like seeing that, it was good to get a better idea of who yanagi really wants to protect,,, hes grown on me so much god i love him

TAMBA MISSING KAMIMURA I AM IN TEARS F UGH KKJSJAJEJE sweetie you DO deserve to be alive but this dialogue is so real i can totally see why tamba is spiraling out. her survivors guilt is really getting to her n how she was so careless before n still survived while someone like kamimura who took a bunch of precautions was killed. obviously tamba deserves to live; the question of who deserves to live is as hayashi said, it’s not something anyone has to prove, you just make the most of it. i really love hayashi and tambas interactions ESP in this chapter.

watari adding patches for the people who died in gonna CRY. i wonder what she would’ve said if she had the time to respond to monomoko, that definitely put Okazaki onto the forefront of her mind.

now onto some actual analysis

I think the why do you mourn them question is answered well with tambas sentiments before; they were so young and just died because of the situation they were forced into. Danganronpa is so dangerous too when the people in the killing game are teenagers, who are still learning to make rational decisions, so putting them in a kind of environment that puts pressure on them to make this kind of sacrifice to get out alive and save themselves, a very human instinct.

i had something in my drafts that I was gonna post desperately but might as well talk about it here cause it fits! i think a lot of why the pink cast is in such mourning goes to the kind of lives they live normally. many of them are more isolated, like kamimura or wada, or surrounded by people but not truly by people they can be themselves around, like hiroaki, chiba, and harada. especially considering them being the best in their field, they have lives where it’s hard to make connections with their peers and it’s a genuine one. that’s why hasegawa n kamimura become attached at the hip so quickly; kamimura was able to actually have a friend. this applies to pretty much everyone, and i think that is what is at the heart of the quick connections. they have the ability to be with their peers and don’t have the outside worlds social pressures on them. it’s a horrendous situation ofc, but if it weren’t for the killing game, they wouldn’t have talked to each other even if they did live near each other because of various reasons. i think the original danganronpa was trying to get to this point and it did in some cases, but in others it didn’t and that lead to a lack of mourning from the cast towards the people they lost except maybe one or two people.

You're perfectly content with teasing him until the cows come home, but then your seatbelt comes flying off and moves to capture one of your arms. Optimus accidentally honks his horn. "No, wait-!"

You let out a cry and you pump the bulbous knob in and out of you, squeezing it for all it's worth. Optimus' entire frame is rumbling now, deeper and more violently than when he was laughing. You finally find a rhythm and spew the nastiest, filthiest words. Every time you go down, you take a little more of the long handle. By the time you're about to cum, it's fully rearranging your guts.

Cars behind you are honking. Traffic has moved, but Optimus, too preoccupied with the human impaling herself on his gearshifter, has not. Trying his best to not cause any further delay, Optimus shifts gears and rolls forward. The shifter is pulled back towards the seats, and you swear you can see it bulging through your stomach.

You see stars as you cum, tears rolling down your face as you continue speaking filth. As he comes to a stop once more, the shifter goes back and you swear the scream you let out isn't human. Iost this one somewhere in my drafts, but this is in answer to the anon whose ask was along the lines of What are your thoughts on Thomas and Percy?

Classic Third Era (see below). Lookit Perce's sad face. Lookit how they nerfed my unsinkable boy. Or maybe Percy's just getting old and that's why he's constantly pouting to Thomas? 🤭

I think the most intriguing part of 1+6 is when we have to reconcile TVS - where they are bffs, best bros, etc. - and RWS - where the Ffarquhar trio is very much a trio and, if anything, Percy seems to gel a bit more with Toby than with Thomas. (Percy and Toby are usually laughing together. Percy and Thomas are usually squabbling.)

I tend to just use the latter-series TVS portrayal and connect it on the end of the RWS timeline. Like connext blocks.

~1927-~1955: Percy arrives as Tidmouth station pilot, Thomas runs his branch line 🤔

~1955-~1991: Thomas, Percy, and Toby are in their classic Ffarquhar line era 💖

~1991-???: Expansion of the railway, the fleet, and TTTE fame - the Thomas and Percy BEST FRIENDSHIP era 🎬

The second period is self-explanatory and obvious from the text.

The third period feels... kinda performative. I've spoken elsewhere of my interpretation of Thomas's character shift (seen most clearly in Season 3 of the TV series): I think he realised just how big a deal he was, fame-wise; felt a genuine and somewhat insecure sense that now he had a duty to be A Good Role Model; kinda laid it on too thick in some ways but that's just his fundamental character, this is the sort of thing he takes seriously. <3 I've joked before about how this is the era where Thomas acquires a Word of the Day calendar. But it's not a joke... He definitely has been using one.

Anyway the third era feels a lot like him and Percy consciously using their own relationship to model Friendship Lessons for the Children. It's sincere and it's sweet and it's... kinda funny because it's really not them. Like they are ride-and-die for each other. But in this era they're always "on" (there's a camera or an adoring kid fan everywhere!) and they keep trying to saw off their own rough edges and it's just not who they really are (esp. Percy). But dammit they are both gonna try to be Positive Influences.

The first period is by far the most intriguing. That's over 20 years where, honestly, I don't see any sign that the two are particularly close... and I don't wish to imagine they were, either. There are many other engines on this railway, remember; I'm perfectly fine with these two only really starting to buddy it up once Percy is no longer tethered to the Big Station.

And it's really interesting to try to fill in that gap. What must they have thought of each other at first? (They seem to have such vastly different life experiences.) Did Thomas do his classic TVS "irrational jealousy" thing with Percy? (I think so!)

I like to think Percy was sometimes baffled at how sheltered Thomas was and had to teach him all sorts of new curse words.

I like to think Thomas thought Percy was really funny with his lightning-fast switches to sweet and innocent around human staff and a cheeky little ***** to the big engines. I think Thomas probably got humbled a couple times, trying to boss Percy around and discovering it wasn't so easy for HIM to do. (Eventually the big engines are bossing Percy around but it took them literally over twenty years before they wore him down.)

I also think Percy was better at expressing sympathy than Thomas and Thomas definitely got jealous sometimes when he saw Percy saying nice things to HIS friends - like just right to their faces, without cracking a joke at the same time - which Thomas at the time was just not capable of doing. And he'd hate that.

I have a bit of a headcanon that during WWII there was a period where Thomas and Percy had to swap assignments. The shunting work would have been too heavy for Percy - Thomas had to be recalled to the job. He didn't take it out on Percy though, it was the war and there was real danger in the air and everything, Thomas just did his bit, in fact once he saw the danger he felt it was right that he was there and not Percy. But he was still very depressed by it - his world on the verge of destruction and he's stuck back in the shunting yards all the while. And Percy felt bad about it, too (though he's always, I think, quicker to bounce back than Thomas is).

Ultimately what I wrote about these two long ago still stands: Thomas had a long-unmet big-brother complex where he needs to be needed, Percy had long-unmet little-brother complex where he just wanted to be bloody looked after for once. So it's interesting to try to flesh out this early era before 1955, when they were both slowly unraveling each other and finding these hidden parts of themselves that actually fit together SO. WELL.

Amber

The Broomstown Rescue Team's kind and intelligent medic, filled with endurance and is incredibly empathetic. But Amber, as sweet as she can be, can become rather sinister when mad. Angering her is inadvisable.

She dislikes being underestimated and is determined to prove her worth regardless of what anyone says or believes.

Amber acts quite a lot like a maternal figure, especially toward her fellow rescuers, and is seen as a mother or a older sister by the others.

Backstory

Back in her early days, Amber was a medic trainee at the medical academy she studied in and was built in. She and the many other robovehicles there were designed to specialize in the medical field, to assist doctors, nurses, surgeons, etc.

Believe it or not, but Amber was quite the reserved individual, in contrast to her now more confident self. Although she held great potential, it was often overshadowed by her timidness and low self-esteem. This, combined with her clumsiness, lead to her being teased by her fellow trainees, which only lowered her confidence more.

Despite this, she showed promising work in her studies and medical knowledge, often reacting fast enough in practice drills and memorizing protocols and medicines. Her self-esteem gradually improved over time, but she still was fairly timid. When she graduated, she was selected to become part of the Broomstown Rescue Team, chosen for her outstanding skills. She was flattered, yes, but was she really worthy of such a title? Honorary paramedic of the Broomstown Rescue Team?

Amber felt undeserving of that role. Surely, they must've made a mistake. While she was admittedly proficient in the medical field, she was more than content with just being a doctor in a hospital. Being a rescuer was a little too much for her. She got along well with the rest of the team, and she could definitely see herself becoming close partners with them despite her shyness, but that didn't meant she was going to change her mind about being competent enough to be part of the rescue team.

However, that was until she met Jin. The human emergency dispatcher of the team. And a chronically ill one, at that. Amber had learned about taking care of patients like her back at the academy. As a medic, she felt responsible for her and made sure that she was always taken care of. The two grew close as a pair.

When Jin had wrapped that ribbon around her arm, she told her it was a welcome gift from her to the medic. That was when Amber had realised she had found her forever home.

Fic Challenges and Sketch-verse Lore and headcanons

To those that have enjoyed reading my stories especially a Little Moxxie love, consider this a little post for the odd challenge I may give you all every now and then. Mainly and especially to see if there would be any takers really eager to step up and try out some au concepts I may do a chapter or two on in my one shot fic series for my 3 main muses or concepts for others I’d be interested to see play out.

this will also see me sharing with you guys some more details on my personal headcanons and takes in the respective universes of my 3 main muses and then some, such as my take in the concepts of Hell and Heaven and the afterlife in the batshit insane world of Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel because not like that stopped this fandom whi omly had the pilot to go on long before we finally got the series on Amazon prime.

Now of course as a Little Moxxie Love has proven to be my quite frankly most popular fic, it’d make the most sense to base my first challenges on it so here it is maniacs. Let’s see how you guys manage your own spin on a Moxxie harem smut series based on these AUs with a few key terms and conditions of course.

As you've all seen with a Little Moxxie Love, crossovers make for a great variety, such is the spice of life. Demons, angels, humans, furries however you slice it and make it work.

4.Whether an angel,imp or hellhound, we all know there are constants when it comes to our sweet little possum. His love of the performing arts and theater, music and as that one short shows, he clearly knows how to use that mouth and tongue in the bedroom. and if you need a little violence,he's a skilled killer. I mean criminy Angel Moxxie would likely have demon girls willing to die by his hand if he was an exorcist on extermination day in Hell. After one last request for some passion of course....

Something something the older sibling (Cater) drifting away from the younger (Sebek), knowing that he's not all what Sebek has chalked him up to be. Afraid that Sebek will realize that one of his idols is nothing but a fake AGHUHUUUUGH can you tell i havent had proper sleep in 3 days

soo important to me how the anime showed off how different dtk's relationship with patty and liz as their meister was very early on.....when they're in human form he's tetchy but if u watch during battles he actually listens quite closely to them. esp in early soul eater you get a lot of blackstar barking commands at tsubaki, soul and maka disagreeing on the best course of action, etc. but with dkt and the thompsons its always a balancing act of mutual communication.

he waits on liz and patty's permission, mostly, to shoot soul and blackstar during their fight. they warn him in advance when they have an uneven number of souls split asymmetrically between them both. whenever they use death cannons, they have to communicate and balance a lot of information that we don't typically see from the other weapons - the stability of the resonance, the frequency, if there's noise in it. and u never see kid outwardly communicating or moving around during that chargeup because he has to focus on how he's handling and resonating with liz and patty too deeply. he devotes that time to them.

and later on in the manga u see that he is ALWAYS thinking on some level about their safety, even in weapon form. during the fight for baba yaga's castle, his literal arm gets blown off and the first thing he does is tell patty (who his severed arm is holding) to stop transforming back into a human because she's much safer as a pistol. when he's kidnapped into the book of eibon he only has a few seconds to react and in that time he tosses liz and patty far enough away that they're protected. he has them travel in pistol form sometimes if he knows it's safer for them. from the very beginning he inverts maka and soul's meister-weapon relationship by assuming complete responsibility for the thompson sisters' safety as the person who dragged them into all this.

more than him being a shinigami i rly think this is why you never see the kind of resonance issues soul and maka sometimes have or the incompatibility blackstar and tsubaki have (like the enchanted sword mode). like, him being a shinigami definitely factors in, but he has a relationship with them based on mutual understanding, consent, and trust, and it's used as the establishing example in soul eater to prove how beneficial it can be to have such a good relationship with your partner - it can even make short work of balancing three different wavelengths instead of just two. love it.
